Levitating Cat.8623

Near Life Experience is an open-minded, very chilled, English speaking guild located on Desolation (international, multi-server!)

We’re currently looking to expand our main raiding group.
We definitely need more experienced druids (zerk heal / “tank” for Gorseval), chronomancers (chrono tank for VG / chrono DPS). Also accepting heralds and possibly other classes as long as you already know your stuff and are properly geared.
We are not excessively hardcore, not requiring you to have The Eternal title or any of that kitten – you’re supposed to be good and communicative.

>> We do raids almost every day, usualy during the evenings (possibly afternoons during the weekend). <<

If we get a lot of responses we’d love to start a second raiding group as we already have more raiders than a single squad can handle – especially got a lot of DPS classes, and some “leftover” druids and condis who are not playing regularly enough to make it to the main group.

Our guild is not raid-focused exclusively. We’re an experienced PvX community, offering everything except WvW currently. We prefer people who would like to become actual members, not just ghost-allies.
Here’s more detail on who we are and what we’ve got to offer: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/community/lookingfor/EU-PvX-You-need-a-LIFE/first#post5997808

If you’re interested in joining, please contact Levitating Cat.8623 IN GAME (our response might be a bit slower if you only contact us through forum).

Trouble with recruiting for small guilds

in Looking for...

Posted by: Levitating Cat.8623

Levitating Cat.8623

You know, the best way to recruit (apart from ingame recruiting) is this forum. But you’ve gotta take care of your thread and advertise your guild in an attractive way.
I’ve noticed that the thread you linked wasn’t updated for a while (it has to be bumped every day & remember to delete the old bumps so that it doesn’t look like spam-fest). Besides, your recruitment message looks like you’re constantly trying to “apologize” for the fact that the guild is small. Scratch that!
Advertise your guild as a “family guild” (that’s what a lot of small guilds do and it works perfectly), write about the stuff that makes you proud of your guild. What you guys are like, what are your interests, what you can offer, what are your achievements that you are proud of etc.
Definitely don’t write stuff like: “Granted, we can’t be on all the time (we do place our work and our lives before a game), and due to our small numbers, recruiting has been a nightmare (nobody wants to give us time to recruit because we’re “not on 24/7”)”.
People don’t want to know this. What they want to know is that you’re adult-friendly (because you don’t require people do be online 24/7), your main focus is having fun and supporting eachother.
Mention what time most of you are usually online, when you do Guild Missions.
Tell people about your rank system (how they can potentially progress in ranks, if they can or cannot decorate the Hall etc).
That’s it!
If the way you present your guild looks like you’re not exactly hyped about how awesome your guild is (cause you mention the downsides more than the positives), people are gonna notice it and won’t be interested.
Also, make it as short and sweet as possible so that people actually read your thread and get the vital info straight away.

Hope this helps.

I’m still trying to figure out why in world Potions of PvP Reward are required for the WP discount upgrade when the only place you pay to use WP’s is in PvE areas. I find myself quite irritated that we (our guild) seem to be forced to play a part of the game no one in our guild has shown any interest in.

THIS! Good point!
Since the nerf of droprate of PvP Reward Potions from Reward Tracks (you usually get 4 Potions from dailies and that’s about it) it proves to be very difficult to motivate people to donate those at all, not to mention the ridiculous amounts and even more ridiculous upgrades it’s needed for. I can understand it being needed for Arena upgrades but WP discount and other PvE-related upgrades should not require these Potions.

As Harold noted you do have a personal bank, it’s the scribe craft station.

I think you left out a huge thing that is wrong with the system, though you touched on it in the high price of scribing: The unrealistic amounts of resources needed to craft the most simple items, when each item has to be made individually before it can be used to decorate.

It should be a wardrobe skins template system instead. You make the thing once, possibly at the current astronomical cost level. But then you can rubberstamp it all over the hall, if you want 1000 chairs and nothing else, go for it. Perhaps special things like the HoT prepurchase items or world boss treasure chests or pumpkins and snowpiles could remain limited to the numbers created, but basic furnishings? C’mon!

Good point!
I didn’t touch on Scribing too much because (luckily) I’m not the guild’s Scribe (I think I’d go nuts being both the leader and a scribe) so I don’t know as much about it. But you’re completely right about the decorations – if they were just a copy-paste thing it would make it so much easier, cheaper and more enjoyable.
Also, someone on reddit pointed out that it would be great if they removed all the Finishing Kits required for decorations upgrades – it makes no sense there’s a Finishing Kit for every stage of the upgrade. Instead, the Kit should be used for the final upgrades, which would make so much more sense and would be much less of a pain in the bottom.

Guild Halls have been a huge disappointment.
In hopes of getting some attention from the Devs I’ll try to point out everything that’s just plain wrong with this system. It also serves as a warning for new/small guilds – think twice before you decide to sink all your thousands upon thousands of gold into this monstrosity.
I’m not going to focus too much on the fact that all the upgrades are way too expensive because we (sadly) got used to that already. What I’m going to point out though is the fact that all the upgrades we build are nowhere near being worth the price we pay for them.

1. Guild Portal
It was supposed to be helpful , epic and fun (as advertised in the GH trailer) to use it to teleport your entire guild to Guild Missions etc. In reality, it serves no purpose at all. It teleports us to Trader’s Forum in Lion’s Arch for WvW missions (not even close to the WvW portals), teleports us to a random waypoint „near” the always contested Puzzle waypoints and so on. We used it once – had a good laugh at where it actually teleported us and then never used it again.

Ideas: It would be great if the Portal could actually teleport us near the starting point of a mission – for example – for Challenges, Races and Puzzles to port straight to the marks on the ground we activate those missions with. Of course, this can’t be done for Bounties, Treks and WvW/PvP missions, but it would at least make the Portal useful for something.

2. Treasury
The interface is really annoying and hard to grasp for regular members, thus making it harder to actually make people donate stuff for upgrades.
Here’s how it goes: You need to port to the Guild Hall > talk to the Treasury NPC > check what’s needed for all upgrades (half of which we’re not even building atm) > port back to LA to reach your Bank/TP and pray you memorized everything > withdraw/collect > port back to GH > Alt+drag the amout you want to deposit > deposit.
That’s way too much work for a regular member who just wants to enjoy the game. As a guild leader I learned it the hard way, having to build most of the upgrades alone or with the help of a few dedicated members who actually care enough to waste their precious time and gold on all this. Alternatively – having to post countless reminders (both in game and on a forum) about what we’re currently building and telling people what materials we need and why we even need them in the first place. Then I even created a special guild rank for those who contribute the most, just to give people a reason to actually do it.
No, my guild is not a bunch of randoms who don’t care. No, having access to the Bank via Scribe is not solving the issue. People are willing to contribute, it’s just that most of the time they don’t exactly know how. (Just for the record: My guild consists of around 100 members and we’re currently at lvl 27, which is still pretty nice for a medium-sized casual guild.)

Ideas: The Treasury interface needs to be redesigned! Leaders should be able to mark priority on certain materials to let people know what’s needed most at the moment. There should be another tab showing how much of what is needed for a certain upgrade. And finally – people should be able to just have access to everything they’ve got in their Bank through Treasury, to deposit stuff right there right now! (Existing examples: a) exchanging Wintersday Snowflakes to higher tiers at an NPC didn’t require us to actually have those Snowflakes in the inventory b) buying Piles of Snow at the decor merchant.)

3. Merchants
The „exclusive” GH merchants are a joke. Especially the Commendations merchant. Why on sweet Earth there’s no regular Commendations merchant in the Guild Hall? I’m talking about the one selling ascended accessories, exotic backpieces, exotic guild weapons etc. That’s what we need in the GH, not in Lion’s Arch. Wasn’t the Guild Initiative Headquarters building supposed to be mostly for guilds that don’t have a Guild Hall?
Not to mention that the „exclusive” merchants – selling minis for absurd amounts of gold, commendations and Crystalline Ore (just why?), bags of junk (it’s a joke, isn’t it?) for commendations – are useless. Nobody ever buys any of their items. The prices are way too high to even consider getting any of this stuff, simply because it’s trash.

Ideas: Add a regular Commendations Merchant to the Guild Hall! Change the prices or add items that are actually worth purchasing or just make the cost of building those upgrades lower as the only purpose they serve is getting GXP (read: gold sink). It also would be a great idea to consider adding merchants that actually sell something nice and useful.

4. Lack of TP and Personal Bank
Yes, I know the reasoning behind it. We don’t want the major cities to depopulate. Except, it makes no sense. I know a lot of people just bitterly accepted it over time but I still consider it a D-move, it’s unacceptable.
Because of this sole reason barely anyone visits the Hall. „There’s no point, there’s nothing in there” – they say. So it stays empty most of the time, even though we invested thousands of gold into it. We built a huge jumping puzzle to make people visit and it somewhat helped. Other than that, we just gather for Guild Missions there or occasionally duel on an eternally bugged Arena.
Let’s be honest and admit what it means. People who pay with gems (Royal Terrace Pass) are allowed to „depopulate” the major cities, but those plebians who pay with thousands of gold and countless hours of in-game effort are noth worthy, they don’t deserve the slightest bit of comfort (even though they also leave a lot of money in your pockets through the Gemshop).
This also causes people to not want to contribute to the upgrades – because they simply don’t get anything out of it. Why on Earth would you create Guild Halls in the first place if there’s absolutely no use for them? The „depopulation of major cities” argument is invalid. People would still do all their crafting in the cities. Plus not everyone would choose to Bank and pick up their TP purchases in the GH. Personally, I’d rather stand next to and chat with my guild mates than random people in Lion’s Arch. Nobody cares about how many people there are in the cities, trust me. Except maybe the loading screens would be less ridiculous if there were less people there and you’d be exposed less to trolls on map chats.

Ideas: Maybe try to temporarily enable TP and Personal Bank in the GH and see if the cities actually depopulate? I’d love to have an actual proof that Anet’s fears are reasonable.
I’m not going to just eat your argument trustfully and believe that what you say makes sense if you won’t prove it. And I’m asking everyone to fight for what we want – for as long as we need! (Don’t let your dreams be dreams – DO IT!)

5. Scribing
It’s sad that we can’t afford to have more than one, maybe two Scribes in a guild. Being a guild’s Scribe is a very frustrating task – totally dependent on the mindfullness and mercy of other guild members. Usually, Scribes end up spending 90% of their time in game farming ridiculous amounts of materials to advance in their craft. Thus, they’re also more prone to eventually getting tired of all the effort and quitting the game. When a Scribe quits, the whole guild is screwed.
You guys know how it is anyway. It should just be a regular crafting discipline that everyone can level up without spending ridiculous amounts of gold on – it would be fun to be able to craft your own decorations whenever you please.

6. Time-gated resources
Personally, I’m fine with Aetherium and its design. I’m not fine with the fact that we need so many other time-gated resources – especially talking about huge amounts of Charged Quartz that is needed for Celestial Insignias and Ley-Line Infused Tools, as well as ascended materials (Elonian Leather, Spiritwood Planks etc). It just takes ages to build these upgrades and people are not really that keen on donating them. Ascended gear is practically mandatory these days, thus people would rather craft ascended materials for their personal use (especially since the droprate of ascended gear in Fractals became so low). As for the Charged Quartz – it also takes effort and a good memory to remember to mine your home nodes every day and buy Quartz Crystals on TP to craft those Charged Quartz crystals. So every upgrade requiring Celestial Insignias and other time-gated acc-bound stuff turns out to be a weeks-long project that slows down the entire progress and effectively strips all the fun, making it an unpleasant daily chore instead.

Ideas: Lower the amounts of time-gated resources needed for certain upgrades.

That’s it from me for now. If anyone’s got any other ideas of what’s wrong with the Guild Halls and how it potentially could be changed, please let me know. And please, please – let’s fight for what we want to be changed! Let’s not accept the things that annoy the heck out of us! If we keep voicing our opinions loudly enough we might actually cause a change. If we give up and accept things as they are nothing’s going to change.

Guild Mission Problems

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

Posted by: Levitating Cat.8623

Levitating Cat.8623

Guild Races (or Rushes) are still a bit of a mess. No one knows what to do when you get there and another guild has triggered and has a few minutes remaining in their rush. If anyone is on a different map instance (even if they dont activate the rush), the mission bugs for everyone and if the previous guild’s mission ends, people in our guild are kicked out of rush form.

It is confusing. It is frustrating. It is not fun.

It needs to be fixed.

Agreed. The thing that’s most annoying about Rushes is the fact that the Rush ends for your guild even if you’ve got half of your timer left only because the other guild’s timer ended. This should not be the case. Ain’t nobody got time to wait 10 minutes for the Rush to end to activate it with full timer again. If the guild has its own timer on the Rush then it should be respected and not cause it to end in the middle of the mission.

Not to mention the complete uselessness of the Guild Portal. It was supposed to be useful and fun – especially because of the simple fact that we PAID to build it. Instead, we never use it for anything, which is a shame.

To my knowledge – the obstacles were bugged since Wintersday patch release, so I was hoping it would get fixed when Wintersday ends. Unfortunately, this is not the case. You still can’t place the obstacles in GH Arena. It says you don’t have the obstacles even though you clearly have them in the Obstacles cathegory (if you built them that is).
I would love to see it fixed.

Near Life Experience is an open-minded, very chilled and relaxed, English speaking guild (international) located on Desolation (multi-server!).

We exist since launch and used to be a huge kitten guild, but now we’re focusing more on having a smaller but tighter and active community.
We have all the before-HoT guild upgrades, claimed Guild Hall (Gilded Hollow, duh). The guild is lvl 38 currently.

Who are we looking for? Doesn’t matter if you’re a new player or a veteran. Our current core community is mostly good ol’ veterans. Both PvE and PvP players are welcome. It would be ideal if you were a chilled, drama-free specimen with a taste for inapropriate jokes.

Requirements: All we require is representing the guild on all your characters. If you can’t represent please don’t bother applying.

What we do:

  • Guild Missions on Sunday 7pm GMT
  • Raids – got a few raiding groups, still some spots left
  • PvE content – daily fractals, open world content, achievements and more
  • PvP content – tournaments, hotjoins, GH Arena duels

Community – we like our guild chat active and full of conversations. We’re rarely dead-serious. We appreciate adult, intelligent people with character, who don’t get easily offended. We allow swearing and discussing sensitive topics.

TeamSpeak – private TS server. We mostly use TS during guild events and when we do stuff together. TS is required for raiding and Guild Missions.

Curiosities: We have a massive jumping puzzle built in our guild hall – leading right to the top of the map texture (if you’re a fan of discovering inaccessible places you’ll love it!).

“Career” options rank-wise: You start off as a Member. After a month of activity (representing, interacting with others, participating in missions/other guild activities) you become a Veteran. Additionally, if you actively participate in building upgrades in the Guild Hall (donating materials) you get an exclusive Smexy rank which allows you to decorate. Further advancement in ranks depends on your involvement in guild’s life.

Current number of Members: 140 (around 10+ online during the day, around 30+ online in the evenings).

If you want to know more or join our guild, please contact our Leaders: Nischa.1542, Casualcitizen.5270 or Sev.2458.

Cheers

(P.S. Yes – the post is regularly updated, so all the info is up to date.)

You can get into the Guild Hall map if you do not have Heart of Thorns and hang out with people, but most of the HoT guild features in there will be disabled for you. nerfing dungeon is stupid

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Posted by: Levitating Cat.8623

Levitating Cat.8623

No, it’s not stupid at all. It’s actually going to fix a lot of problems.
People are lazy as hell. Barely anyone wants to lvl up fractals because they prefer to run dungeons as they’re faster, easier and more profitable. Same thing would happen to raids if this wasn’t addressed in any way.
Casual players can look up guides on YT or anywhere to learn how to do dungeons instead of waiting for someone to do all the (easy) job for them.
If people stop being lazy maybe the game will be more fun for everyone – both casual players (who won’t be asked by “speedrunners” to have certain gear and builds in kitten easy dungeons) and more “hardcore” players who want the content to be challenging and sufficiently rewarding at the same time (fractals, raids).
If anyone’s got sooo much trouble with dungeons that they need to go and buy a path then maybe they should find a guild where people actually help eachother, not whine about Anet’s decision.

Best decision Anet made in a while! \o/

Guild Halls for Free Players?

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Posted by: Levitating Cat.8623

Levitating Cat.8623

I haven’t seen this being directly addressed anywhere and I would like to know for sure:
After we claim a Guild Hall can it be accessed by all the guild members or only those who own HoT?
I can speculate myself but I’d love this matter to be actually addressed by a dev.

Here’s why:
My guild is currently small (used to be huge but we basically all quit for a year) and we need to gather gold and materials for the Hall in advance. As a leader, I don’t want to take donations from people who don’t have HoT IF they won’t be able to access it.
Please, give me an answer.

Thank you.

To be honoust, I think it’s still pretty selective and leaves out a very large group of players Guild Wars likes to identify with: casual players.

I’ve owned the game for over one and a half year, yet I only have two filled character slots. I mostly enjoy the game for sPvP and Stronghold was for me the only incentive to buy the expansion. And as a very casual player that often doesn’t play the game for months and only really played the PvP parts, paying 50 bucks just for that upgrade and the specializations. It’s much. 20, 30 euros would be fine. Those are reasonable prices.

What would you think of a bunch of gems the same value of a character slot. People would have a choice. and casual players who only focus on part of the game, be it PvE, WvW or PvP and don’t have that many characters, can at least get something that is of value for them.

I loved all the content announced for HoT and I can’t wait to do the game again with a new Revenant character. And while I can afford the 50 euros, I can’t help but feel it’s a rip-off and a scam considering they give the base game for free.
People who adressed the FAQ quote have a sincere point and I support them, even though I don’t belong to the ones who bought the game in that period.

I see where you’re coming from but I think that would be slightly too much to ask for. A Standard edition is supposed to be standard = you get what’s necessary to enjoy all the new content and nothing more. If you want to benefit from the purchase you need to pay more, that’s how it works in any game. Right? ^^
The point is that Standard edition lacks a necessary character slot for the veteran players. And if Anet would be so kind to give us the choice between a free base game or character slot, I bet you’d enjoy that slot sooner or later even though you’ve got a few spare slots at the moment – don’t you agree?

Hey Anet Devs,
Don’t get me wrong, I love this game and I admire and respect all your hard work to provide us the best content you possibly can. I’ve been playing this game since launch and personally I can’t complain about the expansion price – 50$ is what expansions cost these days and HoT is totally worth the price, especially considering the fact that you’ve been giving us free content for 3 years.

What I am asking for is to treat your veteran playerbase with respect and to give us a choice – whether we want to buy the xpack with another base game OR with a character slot.

I believe it’s a fair deal and not asking for too much.

This slight change would definitely change the grim moods around the veteran GW2 community and raise your HoT pre-order sale. I’m sure you are aware of the current situation – a lot of people are simply boycotting the pre-order even though they’d gladly put their 50$ (or more) in your pockets at this very moment.
Please, consider giving us a choice. We’d be eternally grateful if you did.

With respect,
Yog Sothothe

This means you were aware of necro’s issues and attempted to fix it. This alone makes me grateful as most of us necromancers thought we were forsaken by the devs. Thanks for proving us wrong.

I’m really hyped for the Reaper. Hope the numbers won’t be lowered too much – our DPS probably still wouldn’t be as high as elementalist’s or warrior’s so let us hope for being a part of PvE meta, please!

* Life Transfer no longer returns some life force, instead it pulses damage on 5 targets and puts them in shadow attunement with you so you can deal damage for “x seconds”. The damage pulses of this skill lasts only as long as the channel but the shadow attunement is on it’s own timer.

That would be cool only when you’re fighting alone and outnumbered OR if your whole team was Necros only (that would be OP as hell actually). I can’t imagine popping it in sPvP on a mid fight and making my team members unable to deal damage to the opponents for a period of time.
I like the idea in general, it’s very unique and creative but I’m not sure if it would work well in sPvP (not mentioning PvE, cause Necros would still be as useless as they are atm due to current meta + I don’t play PvE that much).

I think personally I’d simplify your idea and tweak some things.
First of all, being able to regenerate HP and receiving heals from allies is a must in Death Shroud and should be implemented anyway, scratching the Unholy Sanctuary trait. Exactly as you propose – Regeneration boon and heals from allies should work in DS. Personal healing skills, healing utilities and even siphoning should not work in DS.
That alone would fix some issues.

Even though it sounds amazing, I’d scratch banishing enemies into the shadow form completely – it would have to be some kind of a new condition or transformation (like Moa) skill. If it was a condition, anyone could cleanse it off of themselves easily. And as I mentioned before, if it was a transformation skill, It would affect other classes’ gameplay too much. And that would be kind of unfair.

As for not taking damage in DS – not sure about that. I’d much rather miss/block (due to being in a shadow form), let’s say, three CCs and reflect conditions back to enemies or consume them for a small portion of LF (makes sense that you can’t bleed or be crippled in a shadow form), BUT take normal damage. Or at least be more exposed to magical damage and less to physical damage (also makes sense, rite?). In return, we could deal less damage in Death Shroud.
This would fix the issue we currently have – not being able to disengage from combat and deal with focused fire.

Oh wait, just realized this whole discussion probably makes no sense as they’re not planning to fix our base Necro mechanics, hoping to address and cover our issues only with the new specialization. So yeah.

But anyway, thank you Good Sir for putting so much thought into the Death Shroud fix. As you can tell, it inspired me too (and others above) to hope for a better future of our sweet class

Near [LIFE] Experience recruiting PvPers (EU)

in Looking for...

Levitating Cat.8623

Hello,
Are you a guildless PvPer looking for people to play tournaments and hotjoin with?
You might want to check us out.

Near [LIFE] Experience is a guild located on Desolation server (which is not that important anymore), focusing not only on PvP but also PvE (guild missions etc included) and a bit of WvW.

PvP aspect of [LIFE]:
Currently we’re looking for more PvP people to always have someone online to do tournaments with.
> We have a private TS3 server and we’d prefer people who can use it while playing tPvP (not required if you’re only interested in playing hotjoins with us).
> We also have a custom arena where you can duel with guildies to test your builds etc. Hosting pvp events with prizes occasionally.

If you just started playing PvP and need some help with getting into it we can surely help you.
If you’re looking mostly for a tournament team – great! We have a few more experienced PvPers in the guild who need you to build a strong, stabile team (if you’re rank at least 40+ that’d be great).

We would love to participate in the weekly ESL tournaments and get higher in the next ToL and with your help we might be able to finally get into it!

All we require is 100% representing unless we agree otherwise.
Check us out!

If you’re interested and would like to join us or find out more, please whisper or PM me (Yog Sothothe).

We are getting worried about account security

in Account & Technical Support

@Anziio, 1000g for 10USD seems like a tempting offer. Did you visit the site linked by the goldseller? Provided them with any info, like your e-mail address etc? If so, this most likely looks like they’re hacking people who actually visit the goldselling sites. I might be wrong though.
Anyway, just to be cautious, I’d suggest not visiting any goldselling sites and changing mail/gw2 password if you receive such a message ingame.
I already added info about it in my guild’s Message of the Day and I call all the guild leaders to do the same, for the sake of your guildies.

A lot of people are worried about this recently, as the goldsellers spam messages are received more frequently.
Looking forward to Anet providing us with additional account security options. That would save the players a lot of stress and Anet a lot of work with investigating and rerolling the hacked accounts.

And yes, we’re accepting people from different servers as long as they don’t care about doing WvW with us and they’re willing to guest on Desolation for any guild activities and transfer eventually.
LIFE as a guild can provide some help with transfering to Desolation IF we assent that you’re a worthy guildie and you’re planning to stay in LIFE for a long time.

Levitating Cat.8623

We are an open-minded, very chilled and relaxed, English speaking guild and a team with various faiths and beliefs. We are located on the European server called Desolation.

We only have two RULES:
1) ALWAYS REPRESENT.
2) More or less RESPECT your guild mates; but no need to be an overly-polite fgt

What we do:
All kinds of Guild Missions, 2 times a week – to make sure everyone has a chance to get their Commendations.

PvE content – dungeons, fractals, world bosses, living world achievement farms. PvE is the main focus of our guild and that’s what we’re good at. We’ve got a bunch of good players who speedrun things but we also like to support new players by teaching them everything.

PvP content – hotjoin, tournaments, duels, events. There’s always something for both advanced and new PvPers. With our custom guild arena you can duel with your guildies to test your builds and abilities. PvP content is our second main focus after PvE. At least once a month we host PvP Guild Events – the person who wins gets a gold prize and an unique guild rank with the name of winner’s choice.
WvW content – it’s not the main focus of our guild but we do have a group of people who do WvW daily – mainly roaming teams, occasionally our commanders tag up.

Community – we like our guild chat active and full of conversations. Our community is very specific, one of a kind; we’re rarely dead-serious but we’re always willing to help everyone who needs it by answering any kinds of questions, helping people with their life dillemas or just talking about funny bullkitten. We appreciate adult, intelligent people with character, who don’t get easily offended. We allow swearing and discussing sensitive topics. The guild chat is blooming with conversations almost 24/7 and that’s what we like.

TeamSpeak – we have our private TS server; and as we like to talk and spend time together we usually join TS for fun, parties, music, getting wasted but also organizing our activities, like dungeons, guild missions etc.

We do believe it’s the Members that make a guild what it is. We always try to make our veterans and new members feel welcome and make sure they are having the most fun. We conduct several Guild Activities to make your guild experience more interesting and fun! We aren’t here to change the world – let George Clooney do that. We are just minding our own business, sitting in our homes, our dorms, our libraries, our cars in the parking lots of hotels that offer free wireless access, and our parents basements just to play our one and only GW2 <3

Guild Missions: Monday 8pm GMT, Sunday 7pm GMT
Guild Events with prizes: two times a month, Wednesday evenings

Current number of Members: 165
Clearing all the inactives every 6 months.

If you want to know more or join our guild, please contact Yog Sothothe or Lumminarin in game.

Cheers

Trick or treat bags

in PvP

Levitating Cat.8623

This is seriously the worst idea ever to replace tournament chests with those bags. As people above said, it should be optional.
I haven’t seen a single person being glad about getting halloween bags from tournaments, also most of the pve players don’t know or don’t care about what would drop for them in pvp so personally I really doubt this works as an encouragement for anyone

Levitating Cat.8623

Tired of grave atmosphere in your guild? You can laugh your * * * off while gaming!

Near Life Experience [LIFE] guild on Desolation is looking for active people who like to have fun and a relaxed, “mature” atmosphere while gaming. We’re all adults, we like spicy jokes and talks so if you get easily offended this guild is not for you. If you’re a freak and weirdo, you’re the most welcome to join us

What we can offer:

  • Private TS server, guild page, facebook group, Twitter and all kinds of socialising possible
  • All kinds of Guild Missions
  • Feedback from experienced players – we can help you improve your skills in PvE (dungeons/frac), PvP (structured, tournaments) and WvW (small squads, sniping, roaming)
  • PvP tournaments
  • WvWing in a relaxed atmosphere with our commanders
  • Guild events with gold prizes, like jp races, pvp fights 1v1 etc., but also events like “Wasted Tuesday” when we get drunk together on TS.
  • Getting higher in the guild hierarchy if you proove yourself worthy

What we expect:

  • 100% representing
  • Relaxed attitude (no dramas, no overreacting, just having fun)

At the moment we’re especially interested in people who also play PvPt – we have a solid party of a couple of people but we want to expand our PvP squad for more regular and more exciting tournaments. If you’re a PvP player only we’re probably not the guild for you but if you like to play a couple of matches daily and then head off to do something else, [LIFE]‘s what you’re looking for!

Not sure if you’ll like us? You can join for probation and check us out!
(We have girls!)

Want to know more? Want to join? Whisper/PM Yog Sothothe in game.

Cheers <3

I’m fine with items being extremly AP expensive, that finally gives experienced and committed players something to stand out with. That’s something I miss in Gw2, gear that you really have to fight for to get.

Totally agreed.
It’s cool that the game is casual players friendly but there has to be something out there reserved for those who deserved it by playing more. Basically we get Living Story every month that is made for casuals – kind of “unfair” that a person who logs in once a month can get everything that a person playing on a daily basis gets.
I have 6k achievement points (never really cared about getting them) and I really hope that the cap for some rewards will be over 20k or something. That’s the only way to bring some challenge to the game I can think of right now.

Let’s hope for the best

Left-click linking bug in PvP

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

Posted by: Levitating Cat.8623

Levitating Cat.8623

I couldn’t find any topic considering such a problem thus I’m creating a new one.
This occurs only in PvP – left-clicking skills links them into the chat as if I was using left-click+Ctrl. This happens at random, only in PvP, and only restarting the game fixes it (not for long).
I already checked – my Ctrl button works fine, my mouse works fine. This is very annoying and basically ruins my effectiveness in PvP as I’m used to use mouse left-clicking for certain skills.

Anyone ever encountered a similar issue? I’ve no idea what to do with this and restarting the game every 10 minutes while playing PvP is rather annoying.

Guild Leader Has Gone MIA.. No Current Solutions Available..

in Suggestions

Posted by: Levitating Cat.8623

Levitating Cat.8623

My guild has the same problem. Our Leader is offline for more than a month now. It’s vital for the guild life especially now when the Guild Missions have been added – we can’t even start them, only an inactive Leader can do that. We don’t want to be forced to make a new guild because we put a lot of effort and resources into the current guild and we’ve been thought a lot to manage to sustain the guild’s life.
The Leader isn’t only offline for more than a month but also doesn’t respond to any messages on guild portal or facebook, which means he’s inaccessible or doesn’t care about the guild any more.
Please do something about it! I think the support team should have access to the guild ranks management and set a new Leader, especially since Guild Missions have been delivered.

Shadow Behemoth chest unlootable on alts

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

Posted by: Levitating Cat.8623

Levitating Cat.8623

I experienced this about 6 times now. I can loot Shadow Behemoth chest only once a day (which is intended) but with only 1 character (which is not intended).
Since last big patch I had no problems with looting Shadow Behemoth chest once per day per character but for about 3 days now when I do this event on my alts the chest doesn’t appear and is not lootable. I also noticed many other people complaining about the same thing for a few days now.
I am fully aware of the fact that you should get 1 chest per character per day and I am 100% sure I can’t loot the chest for 3 days now with my characters except for the one I use to do the event first time a certain day.

Is it now 1 chest per day per account or is it a bug?
If it’s still 1 chest per character, please fix it.
