No serious testing, but it looks like something is wrong with range, or range indicators.
1. Equip a rifle and stand close to target. Start shooting.
2. Step by step go backwards. Observe hits.
3. There is a range when game thinks you are in range, auto still fires, you don’t have red bar below skills, but all shots are “out of range”.
4. Continue backpedaling and exactly when red bar appears, auto stops shooting.
5. If you do now step forward, rifle starts shooting again and you get “out of range” again.
Untraited LB seems to have opposite effect. Red bar is visible, auto doesn’t shoots, but if you press “1”, you will hit a target.
I’ll check it with my hunter.

Ranger’s LB works same way as warrior’s. My guess, difference between arrows and rifle projectiles. Global, not warriors. Did anyone saw similar effect before last patch?

First post (currently) is a response to deleted trollish opening post. Nothing to see here, citizens. Move along.
Point is, axe chain is to long, for various reasons.
I don’t recall any mentions about rifle’s range in patch notes(not only recent patch). It should be 1200 and 1500 KS.
And I was wondering why do I get so many “out of range”…
They obviously want we will finish whole chains, to get full benefits. All chains not only axe. They messed with the axe previously. What is the purpose of chain if you do better when interrupting it? Logical huh? And here comes “chop, chop-chop,chop-chop-chop” chain. It’s plain, simple, warriorish style. I count this issue as standard warrior design flaw. Maybe chop, chop, chop+something(condi, bonus damage,etc.) would be better?
I’m curious who is a man responsible for “warrior’s QA/balance”. He must be reborn god of war

More general weapon traits. For example something like:
- blunt weapons CD/stun duration
- sharp weapons CD/on crit effect
or
- 1h weapons CD/crit
- 2h weapons CD/conditions
Who cares about builds?
Any decent axe-ish axe skin? I can’t find any.
I don’t always do WvW, but when I do, I never go there without 10pts in strength line.

This is not WoW, we don’t need unrealistic “taunts”.
But we need all those realistic mechanics like “Hey, you are a tough guy with a shield so I kill you first, instead of that cloth-using milkdrinker!”

GS new burst:
Stab the GS on the ground, pick the planet from the GS grip, hit the enemy with the planet.

Nah, it’s weak. I think it counts as falling damage and enemy can counter this just by traiting his “half falling damage” trait.
Still, I hope, we will see set of “F2 defensive moves” for all weapons. F1 offense, F2 defense.

Shouts without HPwr have a “burst” ~3600hp. It’s around 1/6 warrior’s hp pool, for a price 30/70 trait points. Also we can invest more: lets say 1500 HPwr. 7200hp – around 1/3rd. Maybe now we have “burst” heal. Without HPwr it’s “twitch” heal.
Am I wrong, or HPwr is a worst stat for a warrior? Also, range 600 isn’t that big. I leave healing (both: burst and regen) to others.
Not sure why are we talking about “burst” healing?
Shouts on wiki:
Formula: 40+((Level^2) x 0.18) + (Healing x 0.8)
At 0 healing at level 80: 40 + 1152 = 1192
At 1500 healing at level 80: 40 + 1152 + 1200 = 2392

Last time I used that signet: geyser jumping puzzles in "karkaland’.
I saw somewhere on these forums suggestion, that healing signet is too strong on low lvls. I second that. Leveling with healing signet was god mode on. But also as it was mentioned that signet is terribad at 80 lvl. ANET just did half of the job here. Mending or HS are far better skills.
P.S. Ha. All “but… high hp” folks. 200hp/s. 18k base hp. 18X5=90s. 90 kitten seconds.
Warrior
Healing Signet: Reduced low-level healing for this signet without changing healing at higher levels. This signet now heals for 12 points at level 2 instead of 25 and then scales up to heal for 200 points at level 80.

Maybe food with “heal on crit” effect makes a mess with your observations. It’s very popular in combination with GS. GS warior has high attack speed and high crit rate = high healing. I’m really curious how warrior will look in dungeons when they nerf “on proc” food.
So here’s my idea:
This is an addtional mechanic to adrenaline, available to all warriors without requiring a trait:
A warrior can use a skill that’s currently on cooldown. It will consume one adrenaline bar.
This also works for dodge – a warrior can dodge when out of endurance, using up a bar of adrenaline.
First part seems to be OP. Maybe with some limitations as mentioned. On the other side, we have a lot of skills with too long CDs.
I like second part. It gives adrenaline that biological feature : “fight or run”. Well, maybe “fight or dodge”.
If you say “archer”, I see Robin Hood archetype. Warrior with longbow is more like Rambo with his exploding arrows. Not so big bang, but same style.

High bursty damage, quite easy to avoid if you pay attention. Rifle fits warrior’s design
That’s why warrior is so good in pve. Npcs don’t dodge. Quick death is the best form of control and support.
Also, frenzy should be 50% rather than 100%
I’m quite curious how all frenzylike skills would look if made in 50% speed bonus with no penalty.
I say, if it works for you it’s good. Play some time with both skills.
For me EP is far from amazing. Situational, short duration, long cd. I am using it sometimes, but rarely.
Lower defy pain cd to 20 second..
Warrior is now fixedThis is probably the best progress that’s been made in this thread besides the bickering and bashing. Give it a 20 second recharge, lower the damage reduction to 50% , and decrease movement speed by 33% for the duration.
It’s little tougher, crippled version of protection. Why not 33% reduction without cripple, like protection? Assuming we need this, implementation will be easier.

EP is working full 5 seconds? Did they fixed/changed it? Last time I checked it was 3s.
I have better idea, -35% dmg from 100b, +35% dmg for Arcing Slice. Deal?
So,100b, GS auto and Arcing Slice should be equal in terms of dps?
Maybe something like that?
