After such a long event is so frustrating to get DC’ed on a map that needs meta to be completed to get HP’s, please look into this, it’s the whole map that dc’s.
I don’t see a single reason to play it, buy what skin you want on TP and get on with other and much more pleasant content. But that doesn’t mean this bugg shouldn’t be examined, cause it seems to affect alot of events.
Does ‘throughout the year’ mean that at the end of the year, the achievement will close, or is it more of an ‘all year every year’ kind of deal? These are very different scenarios.
Would love to know this. Can we work on it next year(s) during wintersday(s)? Meaning collection and drinks don’t reset?
It’s a hell to enter, and a hell to finish thanks to invisible snowballs, random knockdowns when on the presents which all also dissapear at random and depend on other people for some stupid reason. What more can anet do to screw us? Right, make this JP the only way to get a decent amount of gifts for the drinks achievement/shoulders… lately it’s insane with anet.
Can we have an official word on the looks of the legendary fotm back item please? Will they stay like this or change back to what it was?
There are countles bugg and problems in hot and what do they do first? Right, reduce visuals of some skills. REDUCE THE VISUALS… i just can’t believe it.
It’s an awesome game with nice content but the prioritys of the needed/wanted changes are garbage.
How long could it actualy take to make 10 new tabs on the LFG window? if one person can’t do this in 15 minutes there is something huge wrong with the game/progam. I have no words to say how dissapointed i am that we ain’t even worth 15 minutes of one persons time!
Noble crash site chain in VB is impossible to finish, almost always gets stuck in the first event. The adventure shooting gallery is just ridiculous placing it after this long, bugy, hard (legendary mobs …) Now with VB almost empty, this is impossible even if it doesn’t bug out.
What really helps a lot is the huge event chain before it unlocks. And make it even greater, the first 2 event bug 1/2 times, making this even more horrible, just make this adventure independent from this long, buggy and way to hard event chain (legendary mobs …)
I’m a fan of the map division actually. One for meta and one with all WP’s, entrances and uncontested adventures. And one map that have no HP or adventures so people can focus on the metas, maybe have a faster auto-kick on inactivity here. (assuming there are only 2 full maps) And also the filling of the maps would have to be better for meta maps.
Maybe it could be like districts works in gw1. I think alot of problems can be solved at once by letting people make a choice on what their goal is and to combine those.
Now people have to do it by themselves with LFG that is horrible to use atm because there is only one part for all open world content. But this is very wishfull thinking because i know this will take alot of work and likely not going to happen.
EDIT: LFG is a total disaster now with the raids also in there. I think making more categories/tabs could be easy to add an very usefull.

Some guys make a few ranting posts without decent arguments about spider exp farm, and hoppa, it gets nerfed lmao… But when people make good suggestions that actually make sense OH NO NO! I did farm it once for half an hour and it was quite fun, also with decent drops. Why would you care that people have fun? Let people play the game the way they want to, not force your way on them.
But most of all, nerfs like this would be acceptable if you could get exp and possible loot from ALL mobs, not a single story mob give exp i think… I thought that it was the intention of masteries to play the way I, as a player, like to play. So much for that, endless events and meta’s forced on us.
(And yes, now i was ranting ^^ )
I think silver bosses would be perfect, to be able to solo the most of them. I don’t see why some want to keep it the way it is, it’s not harder, you just need more people… hasn’t got much to do with skills imo.
But in general i think 100% completion on hot maps is hell. WP’s, gates, adventures contested half of the time, and if you finally find one, you need some new mastery … , can’t solo etc. Only one reason to block this … you need to play more, not have more fun. gl getting 100% map on so much characters.
Hearts and minds … what a disgrace. 5 times bugged out, i give up until it’s fixed. Caithe/PT bugs, log in server problems: instant kick party from instance, endboss bugged …
Seems fixed, i got it all back.
I realy love doing the challenges but it’s just impossible not to hate the way they start and work.
Reasons:
- login server issues constantly
-Why deactivate these at day/night etc anyway? Some i can understand but some are far from any event or mobs and it still blocks. Why block this very fun content?

That could mean hours, days or weeks … The skins idk, probly have to see them in game. But i don’t realy like the staff, seems like it’s nothing for ele (and bifrost is just weird imo). I planned to go for some legendary after release but now idk … realy have to see it in game.
What about making it glyph like? While in fire it spawns an axe, water bow etc. That would make it quite nice to have with you, you can react on your current situation.
Also, ice bow should be able to heal alot more, the axe and the idea of those stacks should be looked at. More nice traits maybe like buffs when the stacks run out. Still, i doubt they’ll find the time to look at it properly with hot on it’s way, hope i’m wrong ^^.
I agree somewhat. The condition damage gain from the conversion is not that much though (about 140 if ITM build site is correct). I’m currently using aristocracy runes, with the might traits it’s pretty nice for solo and pugs. For sigils i currently have bleed on crit and might on crit. I’m wondering what weapon stats i should go for though, givers or sinister. Also, i wonder if there still is a max for condition duration increase.
Wishfull thinking:
-scepter damage increase or more scaling with power
-let the health siphoning/stealing do a bit more damage per power
-a phalanx like trait (so maybe people won’t hate having a necro in the group so much)
Can’t we get SAB as a little compensation for the waiting? I can see no harm in opening it tbh.
Maybe we can keep the scrolls for a week or 2 and an NPC can give us the materials for it?
I hope they make a post about things like this beside the twitch.
It’s the worst mini game they ever made. Mostly because most DB maps/servers are lagging like hell, so it gets unplayable unless you find a good map (very fast paced gameplay). Then there are the achievements that you need to win it. Now it’s EXACTLY the same as in hot join for pvp dailys, people leave losing side. I don’t know why they are so willingly blind to this problem, daily wins is good for nothing but frustrations, and that in a frustrating mini game, i’ll do the other dailys ty.
So this is about the daily ‘class’ win. What a disaster (not so say crap) those are to get. Once a side gets 50 points more than the other, people leave. If you are on the winning side once, you get autobalanced and bb daily.
I’dd rather have; play 10 matches as ‘class’ than this horrible win. Best way to get it is go to a farm server … is that really the intention?
I realy hope this changes, can’t see a single reason to keep wins instead of matches played.

After logging in today i saw i had an in-game mail. When i checked it said my account would be shut down in 72 hours. It wanted me to go to a certain url in the mail to avoid this. The message clearly says it wasn’t sent by the gw2 team. A guildmate also received this mail. I haven’t used the url in the mail, but others might have.
I reported the mail but there should imo be some place to give more explanation when reporting, if the report itself includes the mail i gess this topic is useless :p.

I also experience what Sir Black has. First song of the day is always dying, maybe i’ll try join song→ stop→ join song again and see if that helps, still, seems a small issue compared to other people here.
4 options for pve is just not enough. It forces you to play certain content you don’t like while i could previously get my daily while playing SW or dungeons or fotm etc, this is a nightmare to me. Also, the daily log-in doesn’t work or does it start tomorrow?
We all know what they mean with ‘tone down’. So it’ll be totaly useless in comparison with normal attack, for pve at least. (wvw had to be changed though). There won’t be new elites i think, seeing previous patches, that means we’ll go with race elite. (mistfire?)
Maybe a nice change to tornado would be that in a certain attunement it works like vortex or FGS only for the casting ele. I hope they do a good change, but seeing most patches before … i’ll be prepared.
Today i saw they also nerfed the ‘join in’ button. This whole thing is rediculous for bosses like tequatl, wurm and karka queen. Even at this horrible hour, i could try join in a bit later, but that’s also history. This whole thing is a huge letdown, i realy hope they listen to their players on this matter… This is not fun and has imo no advantages at all. Why so stubborn :’(.
I never thought times bosses would be this patch already.
But first of all, they wanted to get rid external sites, but where is the in-game timer that tells what bosses are up and will be up? (timed ones) We always have to check on the forum for the times? Also, i have no interest in PST/PDT hours, why make this so hard?
And i know i’m talking for 100-200 people (FSP server) about tequatl: please make it spawn every 2 hours again, or at 20.00 and 22.00. We done (or tried) it almost daily since it came out. Please, don’t take this guild and content from us. We also did karka after tequatl, please hear our cries. We can’t activate tequatl because we have no merrits.
There are to much questions to be able to form a complete image. I can see the small advantage this mega server brings, but at what cost…
Also, it just seems alot of work for so little advantage / fun for the players. I’dd rather see guild halls and alliances then this.
Every unlocked dye should be unlocked account wide after patch. But will we be able to stack the newly account bound unidentified dyes with the ones we have now account bound to a 250 stack (from pvp etc)?

I felt like almost all mobs did more damage, i gess because of the instability. The instability seemed ok for all other fractals we did (swamp+giant+laser room), those 2 molten bosses just are op. You get sometimes less then a second to react and even if you jump right and stand just outside of the aoe, it still hits you. And yes, vapor form in downed state buggs half of the time.
Talking for pve only: I realy get sick of the damage warriors do, every dungeon in the lfg tool: zerk wa only… This class needs a nerf in pve becaus it’s just impossible to get close to it in damage, why is it that this class has the right to do more damage than most others? How much longer are other classes going to be discriminated? Most people here are against a nerf because they use it for speed clears. It just makes me so furious when i see those wa only groups and even more when arenanet refuses to nerf them… Balance, it’s a joke here.
Ofcourse it was my mistake, i was salvaging soms rares from world bosses so i din’t pay attention. Still, a simple option ‘unsellable/unsalvageable’ when you right click an item would be awesome.
So as an elementalist i swap weapons regularly depending on the situation. ALWAYS when i swap staff for d/d for exaple, one of them get’s in my normal bag instead of the hidden one. Without hinking further i slavaged the rares i got from world bosses, or so thought, i accidently salvaged an exo dagger as well… Please fix this. Why does it always go in the normal bag?
Or a function that you can ‘block’ an item, making it impossible to salvage or sell, or hell, weapon slots like gw1? why not.
Bah, good game but these things make me sick.
I’m just dissapointed in this item. Might as well just stop the developing of templates in pve. I don’t feel like ‘this build is better here and there, that one is’. The only reason might be to switch wvw with pve. The templates change on the go would be awesome for simply finding more builds you personally like instead of just one build you are ok with, without having to run back to a town to change traits a bit.
Far Shiverpeaks is getting there (5-10% last time). Mainly because our teamspeak server and great commanders. Still, there are ppl afk and not listening to orders, but i see the people not listening get fewer. It’s very much possible, but not without a voice chat.
1. Most people complain not because it’s not auto attack. Almost no one complains about golem etc being to hard, while it’s now (i think) impossible to do only auto attacking and not moving.
2. Zhaitan was killable easy. And this smaller dragon is way stronger somehow? They never realy spoke of him if the novels as far as i remember (didn’t read 3rd book yet), not in the story either. So i would be more worried about the stronger dragon that is also closer to LA. Wouldn’t you?
3. On the lucky chance you get you entire guild in the normal server, there are still people on the turrets being clueless. If this content is made for guilds, random people should not be allowed to ruin it for alot of others.
4. Doesn’t matter, enough time has passed by now. As said, the succes % is so rediculously low, that mean max 500 happy for 1000s of frustrated.
Overall: The boss has exactly 50% hp to much imo with current mechanics. The turret mechanic is the biggest flaw in the new boss, if you can’t even agree on that i know enough.
Am i the only person wondering why the mods/developers only react the posts like ‘how is tequatl announced’? While there are now like 10000 posts about the difficulty with no decent answer …
I can imagine testing this is a hell. In gw1 it was quality over quantity of content. gw2 gives a feel atm like everything is so rushed and untested it realy makes me think this is a different company then the one who made gw1. I do like alot of content, but i LOVE arenanet’s well tested and outbugged things, 2-weekly update is not good for quality of stuff we see.

The way he is made is good for a dungeon with 5 people and tactics, not an event with 100 people. With a guild and good scaling this could be awesome, this is just lame and frustrating.
Also stop the rediculess inavoidable one hit kills arenanet, that’s just low.
The way he is now, you scare everyone away from him for ever. Worst thing added to the game so far.
This is about the worst kind of so called ‘hard difficulty’ there can be. Invisible insta kill traps everywhere … serious? Queens gauntlet, that was the good kind of a hard difficulty. I haven’t done w2 in normal mode, but that seems fine as well. The only reason that i can see is alot of people (including me) want all achievements for temporary content. The tribulation mode would be perfect with infinite lives. And be honest, nobody would buy that infinite coin was it not for tribulation. Smart to try to make us buy the coin but i say no thank you.
Now i’ll just watch a video on how to do it, only for achievements.

+1 for this idea. I like having a bank so you can have a small amount of money with you while the rest of the money safe. (or maybe a feature that you can put in an amount of gold and when something is more expensive, you get a big fullscreen message of confirmation or smth like that)
We did the save our supplies challenge today, this time + previous time we failed, before we always succeeded. It’s just gotten alot (to much imo) harder.
I heard people say mobs spawned right near the barrels, so whatever it is, this mission seems impossible to complete now with even about 15+people.
(And why is the search function on this forum stil so bad after a year?)
I like the idea of this survival, it has great potential but there are just a few things that make it boring and not fun to play for me.
The whole ghost part is one, who likes that part anyway? Just move those players to a new round. To get rid of campers then, just limit the playing area and amount of players and healing packages. And maybe a light/marker that shows yourposition every 30 seconds or so. Plus make the reward for winning way less then 50 points, that is also why lots op people want to win and camp to death.
