Tommorow i’m getting my chest of loyalty from daily rewards and was wondering what the best thing to take from it is.
I hear laurels are an easy way of earning some gold through material selling.
I don’t have to much of an interest in a legendary at the current time, so i’m going to hold off on the legendary crafting materials.
As for the ascended materials, I don’t even know what they are used for. My guess is just high end gear
Tomes seem like a fast way to level some alts and such. But considering how many exp boosters i’ve gathered over the past month, unsure about this.
So i’m down to tomes and laurels, what would be the recomended choice?
My recomendation would be to just pick whatever looks most interesting to you.
However, I would potentially avoid engineer as your first class. Since its probably the most complicated, and having knowledge on the games core mechanics as a whole will help ALOT with them.
For me, its just I don’t enjoy pvp in the majority of online games. I have a tendency to get extremely frustrated in any form of online pvp type situations so I just avoid it all together.
I usually give the pvp options a fair shot in games I play for the first time, and unless its something that is truly amazing and adictive for me. I usually just stop after a few rounds and never go back.
I don’t know if I should hold onto them or sell them on the TP.
I have 0 idea what they are used for. And I usually just sell them on the TP since I can usually net 1.5 – 2 gold per coin.
So could anyone tell me what they are used for? Since my daily reward for today got me 6 of them.
So far I have my warrior at level 30, enjoying it the class the most using a 2H hammer so far. And was wondering what a good supporting weapon for the secondary slot would be for it.
You could try guardian.
Pretty straightforward class, tons of utility, and pretty good for soloing world content.
Do you get anything worth noting for getting 100% world completion, and is it worth doing on atleast one character?
PvP reward tracks give them out like candy.
Ah, i’m not really a huge pvp fan in most games. But I guess I can give it a try if its the fastest way of earning them.
I’m finding these things to be extremely useful for leveling up alts. Is there an efficient way of farming them? Or just the daily reward system?
Apparently the level 40 personal questline is kinda broken. This is the part where you first meet up with the order you joined at 30. When you get to the instance entrance to start the quest where you meet up with all the representatives of each race. It takes place in old lions arch, even though the place was fixed up around the launch of HoT.
Just found this a bit strange that it sends you to the one old version of the city, instead of the meeting taking place in the fixed up version.
Thanks a ton for the bags. Guess i’ll start working on tailoring so I can make my own in the future.
I am having a bit of trouble with inventory management, mostly due to having small size extra bags. 8 slots in each bag tab. Which is proving not that useful.
I’m looking for ways of getting more inventory space as a whole if possible. I know you can buy bonus inventory slots in the gem store. But at the moment I can’t afford anything in there just yet.
Guess i’ll save up for the unlimited use gathering tools. I was lucky and one of my friends gifted me a 20$ gem card during the last character slot sale and managed to get 4 extras. So I have one for each class which should be plenty for me.
However much I like some of the extra outfits and such, those i’ll work for later. Should get the far more useful stuff out of the way as soon as possible.
Is it possible to earn gems from playing the game, or are they purely a real money currency that i’ll have to fork open my wallet for?
And after looking through alot of the items, they seem to be all cosmetic and quality of life stuff. No pay to win. Is that true? And what would be considered the most useful things to get? I’m mostly looking for the infinite use tools and such.
Well, that’s it. You’re done.
So there really isn’t anything to do at max level? If this is the case I could probably branch out into the other classes and try those. I only really played 3 so far, elementalist, warrior and revanent.
I just hit 80 with my first character, an elementalist today and i’m a bit confused on where to start at max level. Is there a special max level only zone to start working for better gear in? dungeons? raids?
The main things I actually enjoy in MMO’s is collecting cool stuff, and world content. not so much getting insanely OP gear for competing at high level play. Mostly collecting special outfits and such in the wardrobe (Or are those $$$ only purchases?) and solo content out in the world.
I also heard from several sources the end game content in this game isn’t as vast as other MMO’s also. Is this true? I recently unsubbed from WoW since the game is going in a direction i’m not a huge fan of.
My opinion: Engineer is the one I find most frustrating to level (or even to play at all).
Ironically engineer is my absolute favorite and I find it a ton of fun to level with. But based on the results probably going to use the boost on a mesmer.
For me, warrior was easy to learn. Revenant also seems a bit easy, but I can’t fully judge since I only have one at 21 so far.
Never tried thief either so I don’t know for sure.
I just logged in and the game gave me a “Free level 80 boost”, and since i’m the kind of person who will try to get one of every class to max level, I was wondering which class is the most frustrating to level up 1-80?
In an MMO. A system like this would be physically IMPOSSIBLE to balance.
This is much more suited to single player games where balance doesn’t really mean much.
Last time I played was around the heart of thorns launch. Played for a few days, but some real life stuff came up and had to stop playing for awhile. Coming back to the game after all this time, and was wondering, anything new that I should know about?
Since i’ve been gone several months. I’m glad everything isn’t being force fed to me. Gives me incentive to actually come back to the game.
Just a quick question before re-installing.
How is the in game stability? Usually day 1 for new expansions in MMO’s are full of errors, crashes, and overall poor stability. Was always the case in WoW.
But considering this is game has a smaller playerbase. It may not be an issue. Just want to know if its safe to play day 1, or if I should wait a day or 2 and let it settle a bit before logging in.
Was thinking of trying one out, But since they look like a class all about tricks and zone control, I don’t know if it’ll be a good class for a beginner to use. Well this is coming from someone who has only really used the warrior so far, and they seem pretty braindead easy.
This is the main reason I left WoW for this game. Mounts ruined exploration in quite a few ways. Don’t even get me started on flying mounts in that game…
Guessing earning gems is a long term investment then? Doubt i’ll get the 800 for an extra slot any time soon without buying some.
Just wondering, since i’m still kinda new to this game and trying to find a class I like alot. And with only 5 slots its making it a bit annoying since I can’t keep 1 of each class available.
Or is there some method of getting more slots?
Just found a ton of gear that one of my alts will benefit from greatly, but i’m apparently not allowed to send items. Just curious when this restriction goes away.
Every time I try to get the game installed, It gets to about 15% every time before crashing and giving this error. And so far this has happened about 3 times. Kinda sucks being unable to actually install the game after paying for it…
Anyone able to help with this issue?

Just got a copy since it was on sale, and needed a break from the other MMO I usually play, and wondering if I could get some basic starting tips for the game.
I already have about 8 years of World of warcraft experience on me, which might help. But I hear this game is completely different.
