I think reasonable drop rate should be around 10%~15% per chest, at least rich ones. So that casuals get one or two skins of their choice while the dedicated could complete the weapon set if they choose to do so.
Current business model looks like they are praying on minority players (less than 5% maybe) who are willing to gamble kitten load of real money on these holiday skins.
And if WvW rewards indeed increase the supply of precursors, t6 prices will rise even further.
On a side note, I’ve got 2 pairs of these (light& heavy) out of tournament chests.
Definitely alt-friendly for sPvP players
I’ll just keep the ticket as a toy so it summons the npc chick whenever I want.
1. Que for wubvwub.
2. Follow the zerg.
3. ?
4. Laurels!!
There were 20 Dusks 250g each on market after Kraka event. We’re talking about solid numbers on trading post so there was no RNG, and the price stayed for like 3 days.
If you didn’t save up to 250g 2 months ago, you’re not dedicated enough. And if you had the money but didn’t make your move, you’re not smart enough. Either way legendaries aren’t for you, and by you I mean average joes.
Panic was over, price started rising already :/
And Sunrise still doesn’t give the chest icon on character achievement screen…
No, they only needed one infusion. Increased gold find 20%. With four ascended items thats 80% more gold, with the run of scavenging that’s 95% more gold, with omnomberry bars that’s 135% more gold. Kill the spider queen in AC for 10 silver (14 with food). After this you can get more than 23 silver per boss kill in dungeons with this infusion.
Do you honeslty think anyone is going to want to run anything but gold find?
Unless it has some hidden cap that the game doesn’t show yet (which is likely, cause ArenaNet loves not telling us stuff until after we’ve wasted our resources) this will either be quickly changed or it will cause crazy inflation.
So there are 3 different infusion slots for amulets.
I guess you can’t put utility infusions into offensive or defensive ones?

Price doubled over minutes, looks like someone bought out the stacks.
I’ve started seeing legendaries on a semi-regular basis. I’ve seen people posting here about getting them frequently.
Why are we assuming that ArenaNet wants people to have legendaries this early on, especially when they’ve pretty explicitly said they don’t?
Heck, why do so many posters seem to want legendaries to be easy? I really don’t want Lion’s Arch to be filled with people swinging around Twilight, and if I was actually aiming to spend the time required getting a legendary, I certainly wouldn’t want it to be common.
I am tired of people think lodestone = legendary.
Exotic weapon skins requiring Charged Lodestones:
Mjolnir 250
Foefire’s Essence 100
Foefire’s Power 100
Aether 100
Azureflame 100
Eidolon 100
Price clearly being manipulated, just check out that tons of fake orders. Worst economy MMO I’ve ever played, pity the game design was excellent. This holiday patch was my last hope for the lodestone problem, but they just kept ignoring.
So disappointed.
People seem to link Charged Lodestones directly to legendaries. Please, there are tons of exotic recipes requiring Charged Lodestones too. I plan to make a Foefire hammer for my guardian, but it cost as much as Dusk now. If Anet wants to set an one-year-per-legendary barrier, fine, do it with precursors. Leave lodestones attainable for us as mid-term goals.
Item Suggestion: Lodestone Treasure Bag. (500gems)
Description: Upon opening, player receive 1-3 random lodestones.
There you go, perfectly fits Anet’s RNG obsession while earning some extra cash for the company. Steady supply of Glacial Lodestones…I mean Charged Lodestones would make players happy too because no more dealing with broken economy or market manipulation as long as you’re willing to pay with real money.
Let’s hope they’re not smart enough to make this come true :p
Scarcity creates monopoly. They made tons of recipes requiring huge amount of charged lodestones and nerfed the drop rate into oblivion so people can easily manipulate the prices. Clever design! Typical grind-to-death-pay-to-win-Korean-MMO style. I won’t be surprised if precursors and lodestones start showing up in gem store.
They seem to drop a lot more from fractals during the Lost Shore weekend, but got nerfed to the ground soon after.
Current price put Mjolnir to cost more gold than Juggernaut, I don’t think this is intended.
Surgery succeeded in botting, economy died in the process.
Charged lodestones are not just about legendaries.
What if I only want some humble FoeFire weapon skins?
100 lodestones is almost 400g at current price, let’s say I farm Orr hardcorely 6 hours per day earning 5g each night, it’ll take almost 3 month to make my Gift of Light. And this is only ONE weapon skin, not some fancy lengendaries. Thinking of WoW, 3 months causal raiding is more than enough to get me FULL tier set plus several decent weapons, and you only need to do it once every week.
Other MMO rewards player with gear, Guildwars2 rewards player with skin.
Simply put, it’s not rewarding enough.
Enable lodestones purchasable via dungeon tokens.
1. Motivates people doing dungeon runs, thus easier to find group.
2. More supply on lodestones, price drops.
3. Healthier end-game content and economy.
Problem solved.
