Rules:
1. A servers players must be in one area together.
2. In order to start the fight, atleast 2 challengers (from any server) must go to the middle of the ring/open area.
3. Can be 1v1, 3v3, 5v5, Golem v Golem, etc.
4. No Spiking, only to down state.

Whisper any one from RE if you have any questions about it. Its great fun, it builds cohesion and good/friendly communication between other guilds/servers.

Why is it that whenever we show up on a map and take a single tower, the full population allowed at once on that map for Kain show up to crush us? Seriously, you aren’t even giving us a chance to get a foothold on a map. You are already guaranteed to move up to the next wvw tier. http://mos.millenium.org/matchups#NA
Really we try to get some stuff done and Kain’s only response is to mega zerg us, nothing else.

You have to think from our point of view too, A lot of us are WvW main players, we don’t do anything else, So we have nothing to do, we are bored too and when we see a tower flip, everyone goes to it because it’s all we have to spend our time doing.

Zergs are needed in higher tiers, imo.
A small group of great PvP’ers mean nothing when your looking at a 50 man FA/CD/YB Zerg. You might be great 1v1, or 1v2, 3, but you can not help the server doing your own thing.

If you solo a supply camp, yes that is great, more PPT, but its one less target for a zerg. With out Karma trains, the zerg separates off of the commander, and does their own thing. Only the people who understand that the commander needs bodies on him/her are there.

A lot of people dislike zergs, mindless zerg this, mindless zerg that, but what do you think happens when 20 people come up to 40 people?

Already plenty of times I have lead 20-30 Kainengs into 40+ AR or NSP zergs, what do you think happens to your fellow Kainengs?

Group integrity, unit cohesion, those terms may mean very little to some of you out there, but they mean a lot in WvW.

So many times I have wished every one on the map rally on me while I was the sole commander, only to see the 10-15 people behind me get wiped by a strong 30 man zerg over and over and I have no choice but to turn off my tag, because people think they dont need to rally as one strong group. But you think your are being productive by separating yourself from the main force, which only weakens us, or…your fellow server mates.

I see where you are going with this and I agree with some of it, but in tier 1 having good solo/small group players is actually needed. People to stop towers/keeps from resupply and taking camps for more PPT or to force other zergs to split is NEEDED. I mostly do agree with you though… only because most people who roam don’t do objectives, but a skilled player or small group of players is part of the reasons why tier 1 WvWvW servers are there. I think once you guys get into the higher tiers you’ll realize how much roaming parties are needed. Cheers

As little previously said, he aimed his comment more at the unorganized and random PUG’s than the organized objective taking/holding teams. This is to be expected of Kaineng right now however, We are still lower down the tier bracket and many people are still adapting and learning to do new ideas outside of T8 and away from being suppressed by DR.

We want Kaineng to be successful and keep growing in its internal power it currently has, the faster and more effective we get at becoming organized and having stronger roaming groups as-well as “zergers” the better the server can become as a whole, both offensively and defensively, this ideally is what the people of Kaineng need to help us with now in these theirs as we are facing tougher competition of servers that have higher numbers and more coverage than the lower tiers ( this isn’t a dig at lower tiers, I mean purely based on numbers and coverage, not skill or ability ).

By being able to utilize the “PUGs” and roamers to our advantage, we gain a lot more control over maps than many of them may realise when they run of in small groups to cap the closest camp they see without thinking about the commanders or what is said in map/team chats, but in time, the experience will come and we will gain more control and better able “PUGs” to do these tasks, but of course, with no offence meant to any small man teams, not all teams will be good or useful some in fact can be damaging and disrupt plans and tactics a commander is trying to use. This is why the NEO alliance and many PUGs on kain are trying to improve this.

Take a massive well organized guild, a massive mob of bandwagoners, and transfer to a tier 8 server so you can make wvw one sided and boring for hundreds of players for weeks at a time until you get to where you should have transfered to begin with.

When I see a group of 25 use 5 catapults to take an undefended tower I go comatose.

My guild ( The first to transfer. ) only took about 100 members. That’s not a massive organized guild.

Who are we?:

We are guilds native and foreign to the server of Kaineng united by our likeminded ways and our cohesion when working together to achieve a common goal.

Our Mission:

NEO Alliance is seeking active WvW guilds, large or small, day or night, to ally in the efforts to bring Kaineng to the top tiers.

Why Kaineng?:

Kaineng is an ideal server because of its current low standings and lower than average population. Building from a lower tier grants us the luxury of time we can use to really stock pile on the resources (aka blue prints) to give us the edge in higher tier competition. The lower than average population can then grow with a more WvW oriented population, in turn it make Kaineng an core WvW based server.

What type of alliance is this?:

This is a very casual alliance. Every guild in the alliance still remains as their own entity and is governed as it normally would. There are weekly meetings that require attendance and of course there are very general/common sense rules to abide by.

Why your guild should join?:

If your guild enjoys and is in WvW the majority of the time, this alliance provides a community of likeminded players to converse with and players that stand side by side during the heat of combat.

What we offer:

We offer an active site/forum where ideas and thoughts can be shared and leaders can coordinate. We also have a community Ventrilo that is open to everyone for WvW and the guilds involved in the alliance have their own private channels. Seems to me they just could not hack it in the bracket they were in and to ease a hurting butt they dropped down to a low ranked server so they could easily overwhelm the competition thus somehow raising thier self esteem.

There’s a world of difference between WM/DE and RE.
And this comes from my experience of fighting WM/DE/SoS and RE.

Can’t tell if aimed at all of us, or just RE, but everyone in Kain right now is working together to achieve what Kain has. Granted it’s unbalanced, but despite the few bad eggs all servers have, most of us aren’t trying to say the servers are worse than us, they aren’t they are just unlucky and can’t cover the ground we can as fast as we can, or dancing on the dead bodies.

This thread very quickly turned into nothing even related to the match-up and just a full on slug fest against Kaineng, then again, this is the internet, these are forums, I shouldn’t expect much.

The transfer that you are refering too, DE RE and WM on kaineng, was not sudden. It has been over the last month and they didn’t all move at the same time. The main problem is, the second DR wasn’t suppressing Kain with it’s trasnfers, the fact DE moved down as well as player base there already, had an easier time to gain control. WM arrived a week/2weeks after DE and then RE was a week/2weeks after that. A sudden transfer would be if all 3 of us had joined at once.

But Kaineng is no longer a low population server. Kaineng got 2 competitve team transfer (one of them being WM) lately. Just take your Vent numbers as an example, those aren’t low tier numbers.

Kaineng deserve to be in tier5. Mass transfer broke the match up system.

We do understand people’s concern about the transfers unbalancing things temporarily. However, DE, RE and WM (the transfers) have only managed to help kaineng achieve what it has with strong backing from the guilds that already resided on kaineng. The alliance has helped bring them together with us and rebuild kaineng’s wvw moral. We hope to be able to keep this continuing and become strong with the help of more of kaineng and other guilds or individuals that would like to help us with this goal. We have had many fun battles along the way in the lower tiers, they still put up good fights that are good fun, screenshots in the thread about the match-up show the kind of siege craziness we have had played against us and such. While we know we may outnumber them and the odds are in our favor, we do respect each of them for their wills to fight on and keep trying, It’s just unfortunate that we managed to overpower or out-man people to this extent while in the lower tiers.

I have never understood what spawn camping had to do with video game ‘honor’. There are 3 Borderlands and EB, nobody in this game can spawn camp me as long as that’s true. Treat spawn campers the same way you would treat WvW if you were severely outmanned. Do something else. Not necessarily something other than WvW, but something other than whatever is going on at one particular spawn (although thanks to this match-up I’m getting alot of alt leveling and dungeon runs in.)

so if you’re severely outmanned and being spawncamped at all exits on all maps?

I have yet to see a group large enough AND smart enough to completely shut down all exits. The tiniest bit of creative thought will find you outsmarting 90% of the zerg trying to shut down ‘all exits’. If, however, the unlikely happens and they are at every camp exit, there is a whole world out there away from WvW that can’t be camped. Thus, no force has ever or will ever be able to genuinely spawn camp anyone who doesn’t WANT to be there getting camped.

Having gone through the early days of LOTRO LOLPVP as a monster player, and having successfully circumvented the Freep zerglings outside our 1 spawn with it’s 1 exit without stealth or maps, I find it very difficult to believe that the Kain zerg and it’s zerg guilds have the manpower and intelligence to literally shut down all avenues into every WvW map.

The “camping” spawn I’ve seen is ballista to defend the camp, they run out of that one gate and wonder why they die.

Honestly, This thread is a lot of sillyness as said above, A loto f us are just there because all we do is WvW, just like the ones on GoM and HoD sayign that’s all they do, We’ll be out of the tier soon and you’ll not have to worry about it :\ Till then, we’ll see you on the battlefield and hope for more awesome fights.

I’ve noticed a few things that don’t seem to waiver with you. You don’t actually use tactics as much as you use patterns.

From a military point of view, patterns will eventually be your demise.

If your pattern is broken, the group seems to be lost and tend to run away. Upon return to the same fight, they bring extra people and then the pattern repeats itself. There is no difficulty finding a Ballista or Treb when it’s always placed in the same spot thus again making it a pattern not a tactic. There is no difficulty finding 25+ people huddled together behind a building waiting to portal bomb a single player when it’s become a pattern.

These are a few examples of actual things done in 3 nights of playing this week against HoD when I’ve been involved in the fight.

This post is meant to be constructive criticism and not a slam.

We noticed this @ Godsword, put up 3 trebs and minutes later the badges started rolling in.

I killed your trebs at godsword, Nice placement inside your spawn though, I was pretty hard to target the second one when we had to use AC to take it out.

I’d like to point out to GoM complaing about transfers, I’ve seen a few old familiar guild names from higher tiers appear of the last day or so.

I didn’t say they was, Was just pointing out, Kaineng isn’t the only server with transfers. Personally, the fights both HoD and GoM are putting up against us is impressive and making it good fun, Not the overmaning them with zerg power, I mean the long battles we get to have.

i don’t understand why the recent-ness of the transfers is such a difficult question to answer. if it’s recent, you didn’t work hard at all. if it’s been a while, good job. i give it 2 weeks at most.

DE moved in 3-4 weeks ago. WM the week after. RE this week.

DE was the first to move in and help out turning Kainengs WvW to a strongerforce, but we did it with the help of all the native guilds that joined in with us. SoS, KR, KAIN, MoT, TGOG and others, many of which are now in the NEO alliance we started. Chaster is right, It isn’t just us transfers that are doing the work, Yes we effect the outcome of the battle by being there, more numbers, more coverage etc, but the “original” Kaineng guilds are also there every day and night along side us. Minus the few that are negative towards us, Kaineng is start to work together nicely that’s how we are managing what we are.

Also, Tonight was a really good night against HoD, It was an awesome fight, One of the most fun nights I’ve had in awhile.

Personally, I have absolutely nothing against DE. Glad you guys are here, glad WM is here. I’m one of the original Kainengs that you refer to here, and I can tell you, posts like these aren’t going to win you any popularity among folks like me. No need to post this negative junk – if people are whining about you being here, just do the original Kaineng thing. Grit your teeth, get through it, and all will work out in the end (and yes, I’m proud to have survived the DR onslaught with my WvW passion intact).

It’s posts like this that continue the drama, and there’s no need for it.

That being said, fun night in EB and HoD BL – the defense of west tower in HoD BL was fantastic, HoD folks! From all the posts from other servers prior to our matchup, it seemed that you wouldn’t have much fight in you, but I’m seeing something different. Some scrappy fights tonight! /salute

My point is, I’m not here for popularity or to care what people think, It’s just pretty pathetic being told to go look at posts like this all the time. People need to get over the fact we moved, it’s a game.

All of this talk of server transfers and how servers would be fine without so and so.
I don’t think many people on the Kaineng server even know why DE transferred in the first place.

DE was previously a guild SideEffect[SE]. We had a pretty bad guild leader, gave the guild and most of the people within the guild a pretty bad name, however we was a good and strong WvW guild. It got to a point where due to DarkHaven having a full population and already having 3-5 big guilds, guild growth was stagnant, We wanted to move somewhere with a fresh start and a new name with less drama involving the guild name that had been created by a select few within the guild. We chose Kaineng as at the time, it was the bottom of the bottom, we saw this as an opportunity to not only get a fresh start, but bring in a new challenge for ourselves. A challenge to rise a server and hopefully get the support from the people already there to help us do so. Granted, we arrived and was welcome by a few and given warning that “native kainengs wouldn’t like us because we are transfers” that alone, is stupid. In an MMO, pushing away new people is just ridiculous. Just because you went to that server before someone else, doesn’t make you anything more or less special than the next. The whole “We can do whatever DR can do” mentality is insane too, not one of the “natives” does anything but moan about how bad it was against DR, sure, you held your own, good job. All this hostility and whatever you want to class your “loyalty” down too is getting old, The NEO alliance is something to help, to get people coordinated and working together, Hate it or love it, it’s in Kaineng to stay, so get off your high horses and play the game.

As for the zergs people think being our only strength, You should pay more attention to how we take your keeps and towers so easily against your awesome “counter-trebs” and learn a thing or two.
