I couldn’t figure out how to get to the final Vista I needed in Bitterfrost Frontier, so I checked a video guide which showed this segment: http://i.imgur.com/a4Z4NGM.png
Here’s a screenshot of me at that same segment: http://i.imgur.com/7KzbEgB.jpg’
Seems like the stones are there, but invisible. I tried getting into a different instance, relogging, restarting, to see if it would right itself, but it seems like it hasn’t.
Please also make it so that all the Mushroom tonics are disabled. They all have a movement skill on them that people have been exploiting, but only one has been disabled which was a super lazy fix that didn’t actually fix anything.
I second this motion. It’s possible to completely cheese your way out of a fight with it.
This may seem like an odd question, but why even allow players to fight while transformed anyway?
I’ll take 116 please

Looks like support beams for the Lava Lounge extend a bit further out than their models would imply.
Are there any updates on this?
They fixed it!! PRAISE THE SIX!!!
This is tracked but there is not a fix yet. I’m hopeful we will see something soon but keep in mind a fix for this would come in a regular Tuesday release and not in a hotfix.
So we have to wait yet another two whole weeks and hope it gets addressed. This is ridiculous at this point, it’s a bug that’s literally completely blocking an entire portion of the game. This should have been fixed by now.
A lot of SBI people have stopped playing lately. Myself included. We’ve consistently been matched up with Mag who have better and more players than us most of the time and SoS who don’t like to fight and prefer to run and play the PPT. It’s never an even fight on these match ups.
I know this is controversial (simply because Mag stupidly outnumbers DR) but Mag does not have many good players. The best players on the server are from Devona’s Rest, who they’re linked with. Mag relies on numbers alone. We from DR spent years fighting an uphill battle and consequently learned how to win when outmatched. Once we matched with Mag and Mag players did nothing but bash DR and blame them for all their problems (how a server with a fraction of their population could possibly cause all their problems is beyond me), it galvanized some of us and led the rest of us to quit. There are only two good commanders. The rest are terrible. X Xafire X in particular is a complete idiot who makes stupid calls and blames his zerg when things go south.
If you don’t believe me, I know people on servers who have historically been matched against Mag who can confirm that they’re complete kittene.
I’ve been checking on this for at least 4 days now and yeah, it’s blocked. Thanks, ANet, it took me years to finally get around to working on a Legendary, and now at the first turn, I’m completely stopped. It’s like you don’t want me to experience your game.
I think the event in Nageling requiring the defeat of 10 Separatists may be bugged. I’ve wandered around there for the past few days and it’s been stuck at 9/10 with no Separatists in sight. The NPCs outside the town are just dawdling around waiting for the event to be over.
The big problem is that as long as the event is going, the giant won’t spawn, meaning The Juggernaut Vol I is currently blocked from being completed.
- Mixed Borderlands: No. Delete Desert.
- World Linking: Would prefer no more linking but if it’s going to stay, keep it permanent.
- Deployable Mortars/Cannons: Yes. Don’t know why this wasn’t a thing from the start.
- Repair Hammer: Absolutely.
- Priorities: Finish the scoring changes we voted for, then give us QoL.
If you allow us one free transfer, I will transfer to a smaller server in a heartbeat. I miss the days of being one of the smallest servers.
How about you just rework the feature into something, that will also work under the new WvW Systems please??.
I like your ideas. I think they need to be workshopped a bit, but in general, I like it.
One of the most fun things I remember back when I first started playing was the knowledge that by doing well in WvW, I was helping out those on my server who weren’t playing. Even the NPCs around the portals would boast about their accomplishments and how they were protecting the world and making it a better place for the rest of the population. I felt the same way.
Giving WvW players a way to feel like they’re the “troops overseas”, whose sacrifice is providing for the PvE players “back home” is a really good way to make WvW feel a bit more satisfying.
How is Power of the Mists buff going to be calculated now? Right now it’s based on War Score, which is now going to be reset every two hours. Even after two hours, that’s not enough points to get any decent benefit from PotM.
That has to be the best thing I’ve seen all month.
I have been experimenting with Rampager armor and traiting heavily into Condition Damage and Duration. It makes the Elixir Gun a really viable option, particularly in WvW, and when you’re running with Necromancers (who turn conditions into damage). Still, I find it more useful to equip Precision/Power/Crit. Damage, and use Elixir B, Rocket Turret, and another Elixir depending upon the situation: Elixir S for running solo (for the Invulnerability), and Elixir R for running with groups.
That being said, the Grenade Kit is ALWAYS a viable option. It does insane damage, particularly when you have intense Power and Crit Damage. It’s possible to one-shot someone with it if you play your cards right. I can drop my enemies to under half health with one shot, but I’m working on getting even better.
Also, the Flamethrower is particularly useful if you find yourself up against a lot of people, or in close-quarters. Also, it’s fantastic in the EB Jumping Puzzle.
And let’s not forget the trait that activates a skill on Kit Equip. It’s ridiculously helpful. I once ran with that trait and the Bandage, Grenade, Flamethrower, and Elixir Gun Kits, and was able to stomp a squad from a rival server in seconds.
In conclusion, the Kits may not be the best things in Tyria, but don’t underestimate them. They can be incredibly useful when used properly.
I really want to post here, but darn, I’m from Devona’s Rest… guess I can’t say anything here. Oh darn.
Don’t join some copy paste guild recruitment thread. Those are sooo lame and the members usually aren’t as nice as they claim to be.
Words of wisdom right there. Someone needs to make a poster out of that.
Seriously, if someone isn’t willing to take the time to read your post and respond in a personal manner, I don’t think that guild deserves your membership. Just my thoughts.
GLHF!
I run the guild “The Friendship Brigade [PWNY]” on Devona’s Rest. We’re a helpful guild interested in whatever seems most fun. One moment, we might be running jumping puzzles, and later we might join in some sPvP, and other times we join with other guilds (mainly the Sun-Tzu Disciples [SUNz]) to do some raiding in WvW. Really, we go where our members want to go. We are small, but we are mighty!
Also, we use Vent. I don’t personally like it, but it’s all we have for now. We’re all over 18, too, and try to be as mature as possible… but that doesn’t mean we don’t have any fun!
Good luck to you as you search for a group! Wherever you land, may the magic of friendship and the spirit of victory follow you!

Maybe I’m wrong, but isn’t retreating from the front lines to heal actually a legitimate, even intelligent strategy?
This thread is very silly. Not the first time I’ve seen one like it, either.
All I can say is this: http://cdn.memegenerator.net/instances/400x/22314089.jpg

Devona’s Landing? Do you mean to say that you are from the Devona server? If so, that’s really good, because I happen to run a guild that is very focused on having fun and being social. The Friendship Brigade [PWNY] puts fun above all else. Whether you like to WvW, PvP, run jumping puzzles, or just hang out in chat, we do it all. Whatever you find fun, the guild will do with you.
Good luck on your search! May the spirit of friendship and victory follow you wherever you go!
You taking name suggestions? As a DR, I can tell you that the guild names I see in battle against Kaineng are all pretty lackluster. Make sure your name stands out, so that when someone targets you, they’ll be like, “Oh shoot, it’s DAT GUILD.” You should call the guild “For Baddies Only” [BADD] or something intimidating like that.
Afro. We need afros.
There seems to be a lot of that going around. Every new idea I’ve seen keeps getting shot down. People need to stop complaining and just play the game.
I noticed he mentioned something along the lines of what I expanded upon, but hey, recruitable NPCs would be just as fantastic. Maybe Svanir or a random dragon?
Of course, we’ll get the same complaints we got about orbs.
There was a thread about this a while back, but it got buried.
It’s a really good idea and I love it. Setting up a wall outside the Castle during a siege could act a sort of hospital tent for mid-siege mending.
Of course, that goes back to the whole “Commander” issue; how it’s bought and not earned. By fighting valiantly, a player should be given the opportunity to advance in “rank”. It wouldn’t do anything, but I’d be more inclined to rally around a Commander or Sergeant if I knew that those titles meant that they were distinguished professionals who know what they’re doing and can be counted on to get the job done (as it were).
Going to be honest, I find fighting in the puzzles detestable. Isn’t it enough that they frustrate the heck out of people without worrying about getting stomped?
Granted, going solo isn’t a good idea, but when a squad of enemies is camping above, waiting to screw you over, it makes you start to question their parentage, age, general demeanor, and sexual orientation. (That’s the nicest way I can put it. Not that I mean to offend anyone, but I hear these things frequently in voice chat)
On the bright side, people camping the puzzles means that there are under-defended Keeps and Towers.
If you want to transfer just for the points, you could go to one of those servers that has 200:1 odds in their favor. If you want to transfer for other reasons, I feel obligated to encourage you to come visit Devona’s Rest. There are a lot of friendly people there, and the battles in WvW can get pretty intense. I can’t guarantee that we’ll have those points right away, but at some point during the week, we control 100% for a time, before it gets re-capped. And, of course, my guild is more than willing to help you, if you want.
Hey now, DR isn’t the server that uses copious amounts of Golems to take Keeps, nor are they the server that camps in the EB puzzle for hours on end.
Not that either of those things are bad (for me). By all means, continue wasting time and resources.
All it would take is for a group of about 20 of the really good DR people to transfer over and whatever server they transfer to… well, they probably wouldn’t win, but they’d start being a legitimate pain in DR’s keester.
Not that I think either Kain or Ferg are bad players, don’t get me wrong. It’s just that there seem to be a lot more brilliant strategists on DR. It would be more balanced if they moved over.
Trust me, no one likes fighting a battle with overwhelming odds on either side. Well, except me. I actually quite enjoy trying to hold my own in a torrent of enemies. It doesn’t work, but I still have fun.
Keep it up, guys! Show DR who’s boss!
Good day to you!
We here in the Friendship Brigade enjoy general silliness as well as serious play. We are often found navigating the jumping puzzles of the world, and find ways to have fun no matter where we go. Whether we’re skirmishing in WvW or just hanging out and having a good time, we believe that as long as we’re having fun, everyone is a winner!
We also use Vent to have a good time.
Best of luck to you, and wherever you decide to make your home, may the magic of friendship and the spirit of victory follow you!

The game is still fun for me! I purposely do stupid things sometimes to make things interesting sometimes. For example, I blew a few gold on Candy Corn just because I could.
There’s always stuff to do, really. I’m satisfied.
Good day to you!
The Friendship Brigade is a very friendly (hence the name) and helpful guild that calls Devona’s Rest our home. Devona’s Rest has shown incredible perseverance over the past months, rising from last place to first (in our bracket, at least). I’ve never experienced a long queue to get anywhere, but there are always enough players online to do stuff with (like raiding in WvW or dungeon-ing in PvE). Even if no one from the Brigade is online, most everyone in Devona’s Rest is helpful and willing to quest or dungeon crawl or do whatever it is that interests you.
As for our specific guild, we enjoy helping each other and generally having a good time. I, myself, am a moderately hardcore player, and we have several who are on consistently. We are also very casual-friendly, because helping people and having a good time is our main goal. We are small, but we strive to make ourselves known as reliable and helpful.
If WvW is more your thing, we also have a strong connection with Sun Tzu Disciples, a WvW-heavy guild, so if they’re raiding, we can help you be a part of their army.
On a more personal note, my favorite parts of GW2 are the jumping puzzles and PvE. WvW is fun, but there’s something awesome about completing a clever puzzle that makes my happy inside. We’re big on PvE, but we don’t shy away from WvW when we feel brave.
Whether you enjoy jumping puzzles, PvE, WvW, or just having a good time, The Friendship Brigade has it all.
Best of luck to you, and wherever you decide to make your home, may the magic of friendship and the spirit of victory follow you!

Good day to you!
The Friendship Brigade is a very friendly (hence the name) and helpful guild that calls Devona’s Rest our home. I understand your hesitation to switch servers; I myself have friends spread across three different servers. However, Devona’s Rest has shown incredible perseverance over the past months, rising from last place to first (in our bracket, at least). Even if no one from the Brigade is online, most everyone in Devona’s Rest is helpful and willing to quest or dungeon crawl or do whatever it is that interests you.

If WvW is mroe your thing, we have a strong connection with Sun Tzu Disciples, a WvW-heavy guild, so if they’re raiding, we can help you be a part of their army.
Whatever it is you need, The Friendship Brigade has it.
Best of luck to you, and wherever you decide to make your home, may the magic of friendship and the spirit of victory follow you!

I will pay through the nose to give my Pink Engineer matching hair.
Oh no, I guess I won’t be able to server hop and screw things over everywhere every 24 hours!
Posthumous (or post-down-umous, as it were) kills are the best. I bust out all the conditions, get downed, and watch as my opponent burns, bleeds, and is poisoned to death, all while locked in place and slowly trying to make his way towards me. When he gets close enough, I use the Engineer’s Grapple and Explosion to finish him off.
It doesn’t always work, but when it does, it feels really good.
This happened to me yesterday when I was fighting either a Guardian or Warrior. I don’t know which, because it happened so fast. One moment, I’m fighting Krait with a random person from my world, next moment, I’m dead and a dude with a broadsword is killing everything.
I thought it was a bug, so it’s good to know that other people are experiencing this.
It still sucks, though.
If I can time it right, I can use the Pull to interrupt a “Finish Them”, and just before they finish the next attempt, knock them back.
And that’s when they switch to a bow and snipe me to death.
The Thief’s downed abilities are ridiculously more helpful than ours. So are the Warrior’s.
Orbs are fun when you’re in voice chat and you and your mates can be all “HOORAH!!” and drink a mug of ale and all that because you have all three.
And then they get stolen and you swear revenge and whatnot.
I’m bummed that they’re gone.
But OP posed an interesting feature: Ranks. Something I really liked in Lord of the Rings Online was the PvP ranking system. Every kill earned you Glory (or something similar), and more Glory meant higher rank. Higher rank gave you an insignia next to your portrait, and a title, like “First Lieutenant [your name here]” or “Sergeant [name]”. I’d love to have some way to keep track of how many people I’ve killed.
It would also make Commander more meaningful if it was earned by killing people and actually commanding well. In LoTRO, the “Commanders” were the ones who had killed hundreds of Monster Players, so people were inclined to listen to them and join their raiding parties.
On an unrelated note…
CAPS LOCK IS THA INTERNET EQUIVALENT OF CARRYIN A KNIFE
Actually, this is a good idea, simply to make the emos easier to spot. They’re no threat, what with their jumping off cliffs and cutting themselves (off from their allies). It’s like the #baldforbieber thing.
The key is to not lose the keep in the first place.
That being said, Devona’s Rest held 98% of WvW about 12 hours ago, and last I heard, they now control about half. Why? Because the servers who lost their stuff logged on and started re-taking stuff.
Seriously, it’s not that hard. Especially since you can’t port to a keep that’s under attack. I’ve taken a garrison where our odds were 1-1 and the defenders had catapults and stuff, and lost to the same. The game is very decently balanced.
Off the top of my head…… make it so when you cap a keep, Tower, whatever that it auto upgrades to fully fortified walls, doors/gate. Give a -50% repair cost and make Trebs, Carts, Cata, etc cost 50% less to create and allow players to carry 20 supplies. And give the players an increased badge find buff.
That sounds ridiculously imbalanced.
I use a quad-turret/Supply Drop build. It works fine when I’m on voice chat with my teammates. Otherwise, I get raged at for turtling capture points. Still, something about seeing 7 turrets and a dancing Engineer entices everyone on the enemy team to come attack said Engineer, leaving the other points for my allies to capture.
So I’m really just a sacrificial lamb, although I prefer the word “distraction”.
I agree (sort of, but not really).
I would say that Arenanet needs to designate at least three PvE servers, but then I could also argue that GUILD WARS 2 is a game about WAR between servers, and therefore, PvE servers would defeat the purpose that the game is trying to serve.
I’m sure it’s been done already, but if not, there needs to be some kind of overview of each server, explaining whether the server is focused on winning at all costs, sportsmanlike competition, or PvE. Once transfers are limited, this will be more accurate.
You can make friends and run around with them. It’s amazing what a group of five skilled players can do. My guildies and I can cap a Supply Depot with two people, a Tower with five, and a Keep with fifteen. If there are enemies about, it’s usually double that, and even then, that’s not that bad.
I’ve been wandering with two friends, run into a group of about 7 or 8 Kains, and managed to kill every one of them.
So really, Outmanned buff, to me, means that I’m going to go farm XP and Karma.
If anyone has Candy Corn they don’t want, feel free to send it my way…
I’ve been stocking up on all of the “useful” stuff. I put useful in quotes because none of the Halloween stuff is that good, but just looks fun. Nothing you can craft with the Candy Corn is better than most of what you can make without it, but I still expect it to rise in value in a month or two (when supplies start running short).
To that end, I’ve spent about a Gold so far in CC. I have around 2500 pieces and I want – nay! – I need more!
It occurs to me that the Legendary Rifle is essentially a modern sniper rifle. I find that odd, firstly because it sucks when you compare it to other Legendaries (Dreamer, Eternity), and secondly because it doesn’t fit at all with what the Rifle can do. I don’t know about you, but I’ve never seen a Barret .50-cal fire a shotgun blast (Blunderbuss).
This makes think that either The Predator needs a re-skin (my choice), or the Rifle skills need to be more Sniper-y.
Also, Turrets are 75% of the reason that I can 1v3 and come out alive. Triple Turrets plus Supply Drop has saved me so many times in WvW and sPvP. That being said, once those turrets are gone, I’m vulnerable, and am missing 1/3 of my skills (because the Turrets are on CD). And, of course, smart enemies will just run out of range and stalemate me into leaving my little protective bubble of turrets. Rapid Turret Deployment would be a huge help.
Also, maybe this should go to the Suggestions Forum? Maybe.
