What effects can they add that go with Juggernaut? Shiny grenades, or maybe a small splash of quicksilver for the explosion? Either way, it seems like it’d be pretty underwhelming.
Agreed. I play 1 or two hours a day if I’m lucky and I just did my dailies and worked on the festival achievements. Got just under 1k drinks, so yeah, 10 more days and I should be there.
I also like that not everyone will put in the time to get it. I don’t raid, so there are items I’ll miss out on, but this one I can earn, even with carpal tunnel and a busy schedule.
Could you please share how exactly you manage to get over 1000 gifts in 1-2 hours?
Those tips might help others on this task too.
They’re exaggerating. The fastest way to get gifts apart from buying them is doing the jump quests (if you’re good at them). This yields about 300 gifts per hour assuming perfect runs, but even for the people who’re really good at the jump quest, it’s closer to around 250 per hour. That’s 1000 gifts every 4 hours.
Seriously. Players pour millions of dollars into the game… We just plunkered down $50-$100 bucks on the xpac, buy hundreds of dollars worth of gems, spend tons of cash through the year…
Not everyone buys that many gems or spends that much money on the game. Don’t feel entitled to having them cater to you specifically just because you spent some money on the game.
I think a better fix to that would be making the event occur more frequently rather than nerfing the difficulty.
I just did a pug run and we easily finished in 2 burns. They weren’t even what I consider to be good burns since everyone was constantly getting knocked around and dying. I liked not being sure of whether we would succeed or not, but now it’s pretty much going to be a guaranteed win every time.
but rather a way to remove excess wintersday stuff and karma from the game in an effort to increase the value of those items and karma
Let’s face it, removing 10-20 per day(?) per player, and accounting for the fact that most players won’t even bother, means it’s not a big enough sink to affect their value at all. So basically it’s not going to do what it was meant to do.

They already fixed the issue. Noxious pods now always give either 1, 3, or 10 crystalline ores.
Due to their hunched backs, most of the backpacks stick out and look awkward. Imo, it would look much better if they moved the backpacks down a bit.
But the thing is, they’re account bound, so with two I can already use them on any character. I don’t see a reason for them to not be salvageable, considering the Living Story 2 ones were. Just noticed I should’ve posted this in the HoT section.. whoops.

Why can’t we salvage them? What else am I gonna do with 3 amulets with the exact same stats, destroy them to clear up space?
For $10 or 65-70g for 400 Diamonds, this makes an investment for this dye very expensive.
Just so you know, $10 is 800 gems, not 400.
I wish PvE would be less focused on DPS. I’d love to have more difficult content where lack of time isn’t the reason for the difficulty.
Also, SAB really needs to come back.

I know what you mean, it looks pretty funny even without the music.
Does anyone else find this theme to be pretty underwhelming? I’m a fan of most of the music in HoT, but this one theme feels really lackluster, especially for an epic battle. After playing through the DS meta 2-3 times, I had to mute the music at this part since it was actually starting to detract from my experience. A theme similar to “Shadow of the Dragon” would be much more fitting imo.
A lot of people (myself included) really like one side of certain asymmetric gloves/armors, but absolutely hate the other. What if a system was added where for gloves and shoulders, you could choose what style you want each side to be?
For example, for symmetric shoulders, the options for each side would be something like: “Hidden”, and “Option 1”, whereas for asymmetric shoulders the options would be: “Hidden”, “Option 1”, and “Option 2”. “Option 1” would be the design on the left shoulder and “Option 2” would be the design on the right shoulder, if they’re different. The same idea applies to gloves. This would be done in the wardrobe section, taking up 1 transmutation stone.
A picture is attached below showing what it could look like.
Some combinations will need to be blocked (the player can’t choose “hidden” for both sides).
Imo, this would open up a huge amount of customization for the game, without the need to make any new models. And for a game with so much emphasis on character customization, I think something like this would be a great addition.
There are definitely a lot of bugs in the last mission. You should consider yourself very lucky that you were able to play through it on your first try without any bugs. Just to list a few bugs I’ve encountered so far:
-Canach becomes permanently invulnerable (no, reflecting grenades does not work)
-Not being thrown into the air by the whirlwinds when Mordremoth does his ground attack
-Rifts spawning in unreachable places
-Mordremoth spamming his skills without delay (I was literally being tossed around nonstop for a good 20 seconds, unable to use a single skill within that entire period)
If you look around, you’ll see that many other people are experiencing these issues, which are completely unrelated to the skill of the player.
Is this boss working as intended? You just randomly lose health, and he can drain my health from full to 0 in less than a sec. There is absolutely no indication as to when and where the attacks happen, nor is there any animation for the attacks. I tried watching his movements and listening to what he says, but there’s just no pattern. All of my allies just die within a few sec. as well. I was only able to beat him by repeatedly respawning and re-engaging. This is the boss for the mission “The Jungle Provides” if you choose to defend the Itzel village, btw.
