After making a “few” gem purchases today, I was then told I need to provide verification before I can make a purchase. Both of my purchase methods have been blocked. You really leave no way to provide this information except for a ticket, which I have started but of course, no response. This is really irritating. I understand why, to make sure someone isn’t making unathorized purchases but you really should have a better way for someone to provide this information so they can quickly do it and be on their way. Can someone plz look into my ticket. Thanks.
Can you stack sigil of air on mh with sigil of strength on offhand? Can they work together or will there be some cd issues?
I have two questions I was hoping to get answered.
Is sigil of accuracy in fact working? I have read that it is, but doesn’t register on hero panel, others say they’ve tested and it isn’t working. Does it in fact work?
If it does work, can you stack this sigil on main hand/off hand daggers for 10% chance to crit?
Thank you!

Nice! I noticed two different builds in the video, one in the beginning, and a different one just before the duels started. Which build is the one you are talking about. Too bad the quality was so poor, it was difficult to see your traits. Also, why the Tahlkora gear? Does the + healing help in this build?

I do agree with you to an extent, after you’re geared, which don’t take long, even less time if you want to buy the gold, there’s not a whole lot to do. The other day I noticed myself running around in circles in Lion’s Arch when I said, “wtf am I doing”? Here in lies the problem with the way gear works in this game and why there’s such a divide. If you have progressive dungeons, like wow for instance, then there must be something to work toward. In wow’s case, its gear and so people work thier butts off to get to that gear. Guild Wars does things differently. Sooo many people threw a hissy fit when they mentioned the addition of ascended gear. Apparently a large number of people don’t want to work for anything at all, ever. This a huge problem for a mmo style type game in my opinion. You NEED something to keep people coming back, logging in, having fun etc. I don’t know what the solution is exactly, but I agree, there is nothing exciting post lvl 80 and that is really unfortunate. The game is young though, hopefully this will come with time. Remember, the lvl cap in GW1 was lvl 20 and it stayed that way forever. Working for a ring, or worse yet, paying 25g to make back piece and another 25g to get a +5 stat bonus is absolutely ridiculous. That is another thing, I mean the mats to make the infusion for a measly +5 stay bonus is ludacris to say the least. In my opinion, people who put in the work should have better gear and have an advantage over those who don’t. I know some don’t agree but I think that’s the way a game like this should be designed. Equal gear for all sounds great on paper, as does socialism, until the ones who work really hard realize that they are wasting their time and stop working as well and the whole thing comes crashing down.

Guys pretty good, maybe you can take something from it. If you go to his channel he has several necro videos, some are definitely worth the watch.

here’s mine
15/char
Very Nice Indeed!
There is a sticky with tons of charr necro pics, should probably check it out.
I did check that out prior to posting but I didn’t see too many charr though so I didn’t know if they were a minority or camera shy.
Charr necro
That looks pretty sweet I must say, thanks for sharing!
I don’t have any Charr characters but was thinking of making a charr necro. I love the way death shroud looks on charr and thier necro animations in general. Problem is, I’m a little hesitant because of the way light armor looks on them. Can any of you tip me over the edge by showing me how amazing your charr necro looks? Thanks!

Okay, apparently, no one likes to spend their traits in any sort of definsive way. Honestly, I am the same way…I find defensive boring. I like the big shiny numbers as much as the next guy. With that said, on my thief, I have been litterally killed in 2 seconds by a warrior who charged, knocked me down and frenzy slashed me to my death. How is that any different?? I think it is safe to assume that 80% of people in spvp or wvw are running glass cannon builds. It’s no kitten wonder why everyone is getting blown up so fast. Thieves running glass cannon builds get blown up extremely fast, probably more so than any class in the game. Put 30 points into toughness people and see what a difference it makes. Right, who the hell wants to do that and lose out on power, precision, crit dmg and condition dmg. Maybe they should just rename the thief forums QQ central.
I am so beeping sick of seeing the same beeping beep every time I come on the beeping forums. Make a different character if you don’t like yours. It’s a very beeping simple fix. I played World of Warcraft for 5+ years and the rogue got more QQ than any other class BY FAR. Fact of the matter, people who can’t stealth, hate people who can. Its called ENVY. Get over it or roll a thief, no one is stopping you.
Holy crap, thief forums really brings out the kitteny players. Look guys, you have these things, there called, uh, abilities that you can use when a thief jumps you. Hell, even on my thief, I sometimes get ganked by another thief and yes, sometimes they get me, but a lot of times they don’t. It’s called being aware, not just standing there spamming your aoe into a crowd, not paying attention to the theif or whoever. Thiefs are a bursty class, that is the way they should be because no matter how I spec or gear, if I leave my kitten hanging out in the breeze for more thatn 2 seconds, I am dead. I think the thing that pisses people off the most is they want to have that burst but you cant see, cus you have other abilities, and more health, and other traits that come in usefull in other ways. Learn to play your class and quit boo hooing, its just sad.
Tried them all, took guardian, warrior and mesmer to 30s. Then I made a human female thief….and never looked back. Steath, yes plz…ability to cover lots of ground very fast, yes plz, able to blow someone up in a few seconds, yes plz, able to get out of about any sticky situation, sure. She’s just too kitten much fun. Guardian is easy mode, I prefer a challenge with high reward. Warrior is fun. It all depends on your playstyle. Least fun for me was engineer, ranger and mesmer.
The medium chest piece from the Orrian vendor seriously covers your daggers. The nightmare one is much more poofy and the daggers sit nicely on the outside. Thx.
Either fight close or ranged, thats pretty much baseline of all classes regardless of attunements or weapons.
Um, you have variety of 20 skills + ability to summon weapons…and you say that you have a lack of weapons=)
Unlike other classes, we can’t change our playstyle in combat. We currently have Staff, D/D, and S/D as our only real playstyles. While each other class has more combinations. It isn’t the skills themselves, but the playstyles availble that matter.
They’re called attunements. For each weapon, you have 20 different abilities, well almost because some overlap. Everyone else has 10 (2 weapons x 5 abilities). What’s the problem again?
That’s actually very funny, but yes – quite an oversight given that this is using the account name.xxxx (4 numbers) method for ID instead of character name itself.
Alternatively it’s intentional and they’re making a shop item for the name change bit.
Ya, I figured it may be intentional to suck some more money out of you but in all honestly, why sell a pack to change gender and then make you buy another pack to change your name. That is just Ludacris, pun intended. If thats truly their master plan, then just make the Total Transformation Kit a bit more to include the name. Though, I think they just screwed the pooch on that one, because it makes litterally no sense at all to have them seperate.
“To suck more money out of you”….did you really just say that? Here’s a fitting clue. Total Character Makeover is less than $5 total, or FREE if you use Gold-to-Gem conversion. In WoW, a single Appearance Change costs $15 and a name change is $10 without an option otherwise.
So,…it’s actually cheap for this game…or completely nothing if you farm the gold (2-3 days worth of “light” farming).
So I don’t see this as an oversight as the OP thinks it is, just that they have yet to include the character name-change options.
Yeah, I did just say that and thanks for the super economics lesson, I really enjoyed that. I made no mention of it being expensive but maybe you missed that. My point was, and still is, why offer something to change your gender but not allow a name change along with it? Its just plain poor planning. And since you like to reference wow, when you purchased such things in wow, like gender change, it was accompanied by the ability to change your name. One thing to change gender and then another to change name is redundant and unnecessary. Package it all in one for a price, and THEN I suppose you could have a cheaper one with JUST a name change for those who like the way they look, but wish they hadn’t called themselves “All Names Were Taken”. My guess is, if people want to change their name, they’d probably like to give their character a makeover at the same time, thus making the need to combine them all the more senseable. I suppose your the kind of guy who would like to get in line to pay for your hamburger, and then get back in line to pay for your fries seperately. Yup, makes perfect sense. Opps, forgot the drink, back in line I go. Or…….I could package things together in a way that’s convenient and makes sense.

I’m playing less because many of my friends are playing less. They’re playing less because many dynamic events have a tendency to break down within days (if not hours) of a server reset, which makes for very dull and repetitive game world when only a handful of dynamic events remain available in any given zone most of the time.
Less fun = less logging in.
I think a lot of people are harshly judging because they have come from World of Warcraft, which to be fair, has had years to fix past mistakes, make improvements and, despite years of development, still manage to screw things up. When wow finally introduced raid finder, my initial reaction was, why the hell did it take them 5 years to realize this was a good idea. I think Anet should implement something similar to be honest, its just that good of an idea. Point is, the game has barely been out, you can’t expect perfection in 3 months, mistakes will be made, failures will be admitted (hopefully) and the game will continue to thrive.

I do not deny the fact that this games so called end game leaves a lot to be desired. I’m trying to remember what wow had in the first few months after launch, oh ya, pretty much nothing. Give them a chance for christ’s sake. As I previously stated, there needs to be something else besides farming the same boring kitten dungeon. That much I agree on, but there is a larger majority here that doesn’t think that anyone, should ever have to work for gear in this game period. That is what I have a problem with. You get what you put in, in life, and this game should be no different. If you feel like it is a waste of your time, I am sure there are far more productive things you could be doing with your time. I find the game enjoying, and I enjoy working toward a goal. Must be this newer generation of spoiled kids who have to have everything handed to them on a silver platter or it’s just not fun.
Seriously people, quite your kittening already. What is the problem with having to put in a little work to get a reward. Shall everything just be handed to you regardless of how little work you put in? If you play this game with any kind of regularity, ascended gear shouldn’t be an issue. I like to get my hands dirty and come out the other end feeling better for the effort. Socialism works like that. It sounds like a great idea until the people who work their kitten off get the same thing as those who do nothing. Then, the hard workers quite working cus why should they? I understand that some of you are pissed because you work so hard for something and then poof, its crap or can be had for much cheaper then next week. Ever drive a new car off the lot? Guess how much it’s worth now? Point is, people need something to work toward or they get bored and stop trying/playing. Quit looking for hand outs, pull up your sleeves and get your hands a little dirty. My only suggestion is to find a way for players to get the ascended gear through WvW because not everybody is into dungeon grinding AND since WvW is such a huge part of the game, it should be possible. A large percentage of you have blown this ascended gear thing WAY overboard. The stats aren’t even that much better anyway. If they do offer newer gear they can always nerf the criteria for the older stuff, making it easier to get to the new. They have to do something to keep people playing, unless you enjoy walking around Lions Arch listening to NPC’s and well, nothing.
I agree, there needs to be some sort of reward besides bonus experience to crafting. Like it or not, this game is a buyers market, everyone bids 1c over vendor price and too many people give in, thus you cannot make much of a profit on anything. Yes, there are a few niches here and there when you can make some money but the reality is, crafting offers squat right now. If people don’t like the fact that crafters get a bonus, tough doo doo, no one is stopping them from crafting. I swear 75% of the people who play this game think they should get everything for free, and not put in any effort. Thats socialism and it doesn’t work too well. Sure, it works great for the lazy people but doesn’t sit too well with those who work their kitten off. Just saying. These are the same people who complain about the ascended gear. Oh no, I have to work for something. Good lord, get off food stamps and get your hands dirty.
Why did you offer the ability to change gender but not give the option to change your characters name along with it. I mean seriously, who wants a male player with a girl name or vise versa.
Uh yes you can, its called a total transformation kit.

Makes no sense, seems like that should have been part of the package.
