playing since release, over 3.3kh , without more than 200hrs of afking, completed well over 1000 dungeons, fractalcounter doesnt count anymore since a year, a whole mule just for rings.

the only pre ive ever gotten was the torch-pre at karkaevent, which was like 8g. and 8g in these times were like 12g today. in total i didnt even have single drop over 40g.

im already at the point that i stopped playing the game itself, since i got every dungeonskin i ever wanted, and further legendarys would need such a huge grind.
nothing interesting except living story anymore.

if you want to use the 2.5 option, all players like me would have to grind another 400hours just to get the tokens, when most ppl are turning their back on gw.
gw is already dieing because of it.
im always trying to get some friends into gw2, but the biggest part of them is like : hey i want to kill some mobs to gain experience, level and get some equip.

to sum it up : i stopped playing gw and investing in gems because all new items are either gemshop stuff, and i feel im getting no reward for whatever im doing at all.

Speaking as a software engineer, this would be anything but simple. Designing such a tool in a friendly enough way that it can be given to users would take a lot of developer resources up for a long, long time.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to see one, but there’s just no way that they’d have the resources to develop something this complex if they’re too shorthanded to add new dungeons.

This would also be a lot of manpower. Infrastructure and employees for accepting submissions, reviewing them, pushing them out, ranking them, etc. Developing encounters will take a lot of their effort, too, unless we just wanted some stale, boring generic cookie cutter encounters repeated through out all of the user-generated content.

Unfortunately, in this case it’d be because they don’t have the resources to allow us to help :-/

is it really that hard? im sure somewhere out there is database with all the objects etc?
anet itself created that dungeons in some way, why cant WE use that way? they gotta have a tool …
also, fissure of woe and underworld have to come back, 101% of the community would pay another 30bucks for it.

the arch mage caged himself and refuses to come out, he doesnt even port back when the party wipes.
you have like 3 hits then he goes invulnerable.
solution : get to the right corner between wall and cage and try to lure him out

just when i was about to buy gems again ….

why dont you give us a “dungeon-designer”? an simple editing tool for the dungeon-environment, enemy-models and weapon/armors?
these would be simple : stretch/pull objects, some premade stuff like rocks, premade textures and the option to edit them ?

then go for a top 10 dungeon competition, get all the maps and models made by the players + a list of possible encounters. now let us vote.

then, take the models, check it for backdoors, add the needed encounters and implement them
some dungeons the community wanted, without even developing it.

i really love the game and a lot things about it, but if anet doesnt have the ressources, why not let us help?
id have ideas for 3 or 4 totally different dungeontypes, different weapon and armorsets and im willing to use my freetime on it.

anyone else thinking like that?

the necro can manually activate the knockdown skill, if the flesh golem faces in your direction when you go to stealth, the nec can activate the skill, and the golem will run in the direction he faced last. your direction.
so no bug here

i sold it because of the unfitting aura, not because i didnt like the sword itself.
the best i expected was a draw/proj fix … the said they got it in the bugtracker since somewhere 2012 .. nothing happend. nobody ever mentioned they will rework it completely… why the hell cant this be announced sometime in advance?

soooooo, i dont know who already saw eternity, but …
it has a totally new, unique aura, a seperate one for twilight and sunrise!
and totally new draw and projectile effects!
after all, it was a really demanded and needed update, but something really bugs me out …
i freaking sold twilight and sunrise combined as eternity because of a kittenty aura after the
wardrobe patch! why was there no simple message?
“hey folks we are not only fixing all the bugs, we are reworking the item completely!”

yeah so …. what to do? can i ask the support to roll back my account some months?

had been about the kitten time! 80% of a fast run is the right dodge-timing and running the right paths ….
95% of all dungeon-records were made with full exo gear (e.g. oO’s cof p1 rec, one of the the eles was full exo with a legendary scepter…).
ppl bragging about getting +30 prec from infusions for 500g, but dont dodge with their 30 25 0 0 15 warrior build. (and miss 3% dmg like this…)
the point is, a nonperfect rotation, even one mistake costs you more dps than not having a full asc armor.
….. and even if you had the perfect rotation, the difference in time for a whole party with pink armor would be sub 3sec on any boss….

here is my suggestion for a revamp for the rewards in fractals :

Gold Reward : 15s x Frac Lvl (-> 3g for lvl 20, 7,5g for lvl 50) once a day
Fractal Relics : 0-9 -> 50, 10-19 -> 80, 20-29 -> 110, 30-39 -> 140, 40-49 -> 170, 50-> 200

no pristine frac relics anymore, no fractal-weapon drops

a new merchant for the relics :

…. what the old merchant had for relics ….

- fractal weapons, 1500 relics per weapon, exotic, stats can be chosen

- gift of mistborn forge : 1000 relics, can be used in the mystic forge, together with a
fractal weapon (+ 100 orichalcum ore/ancient wood log(depending on weapon type), + vision crystal ) to create an ascendend fractal weapon (maybe the same for armor ?)
[maybe another option for making a vision crystal, 10 of each frac-material + augur’s stone]

- asc. rings -> 250 fractal relics + 5g
- asc. accessoiry -> 350 fractal relics + 5g
- asc amulets -> 400 fractal relics + 8g
- ascendend drops from the daily chest stay. (increased chance, 1% x frac lvl /10, downgraded)

- karma : 100x frac lvl, + (every level you unlocked above the lvl you are doing atm) x 500, capped at 10k karma max

the idea behind it was making fractals more rewarding, and balance them with normal-dungeon reward

additional ideas for new fractals :

- fall of abbadon as boss fractal (gw1 nightfall, final mission)

-the crystal cave (similar to the gw1 mission the dragons lair, but with only 4 aspects to kill, dragonbrad-styled)

- the forest (bright themed forest, some earthelementars, final boss is a water elemental in a lake)

- deserted lands ( a desert, with one oasis which has been home of some quaggans, but bandits built a reservoir dam to dry it out, the mission is to destroy the dam, saving the quaggan home and vanquishing the bandits)

- the glacier (trapped on a huge rock of ice, floating in the water, you have to get from the top to the water surface to get to a boat and escape, maybe something like a slide could be built in, everybody gets a little piece of ice to slide on and has to evade obstacles)

i got the feeling too some dmg appears out of nowhere now. i used to solo bloomhunger on lower frac levels, but now im dead within a few seconds. in a party with 2 guards. even when im standing inside the reflection wall. same happend in twilight arbor today, usually no problem, but now im feeling like a glass elementalist, as a warrior .. o.O

there are 2 savespots already, and the boss itself is not too hard. a guard with stab groun, 2 eles with fgs and stack. gg. (disclaimer : only works with good players)

mercury, if you grinded hundreds of hours for a item thats bugged for ages, reported several times and didnt not even get an answer, what would you do?
its clearly a bug that draw/proj effects are missing, everything else is more or less a suggestion. anyway, if you want to play the white knight, work for arenanet, if it is so bad we are bumping a thread, then mods would take action. and these threads will come back, there is a very simple solution for it : a dev writing : got it, we are working on it. (and actually work on it)

edit : legendarys are one of the biggest impact in the game as far as they are the biggest highend goal to reach, the motivation to play

posting and reporting this since months, eternity itself needs a rework.
the aura appears right out of your face, not like an actual “aura”. no changes at daytime, so a dark aura to sunrise … unfitting, no projectiles, no draw-effect.
even cobalt, meteorolgicus …. got the day-night-swap so there is nothing special anymore about it. at least we should get the option to re-split it into sunrise and twilight (as often as we want), since eternity is totally inferior to the both single swords. it would be a great, necessary and satisfiieng move to let as split eternity.

anyway, those “exploits” have been in the game for months/ a year?
arah gets rushed since oct ’12, and its still ongoing. and there were countless reports, sometimes with screenshots, sometimes with videos. in my opinion anet HAS a reason to ban players shortly IF they really treated it like an exploit. leaving it in the game for months, fixing nothing despite several reports, and suddenly ban people for it? absolutly not ok.
really anet, it is ok if (shortly) bann people for exploiting, but if this exploits are reason enough to bann, then treat them like exploits and fix them immediately. i cant stand that whole "twoface"thing …

happens on a daily base : lfm arah p3 exp, 4k ap+, gear check!
aaaaaand a lvl 79 warrior with 900ap joins …..
there is nothing wrong about joining groups, and im not the a**hole who says gtfo noob nobody wants you, id rather help the people and explain how things work. but sometimes you are just not up for explaining stuff and taking 2hrs for every run. so for gods sake, if people search EXP, pls just join when you have exp

eternity has no projectil effect, neither the typical (for twilight and sunrise) draw-effect.
also the aura appears right out of your face, sometimes blocking to view on the character, not lke all other auras where the chara is surounded by it.
please fix this or give us the option to split it up in twilight and sunrise pls
(meteorologicus got the day-nightswap too, so there is nothing special anymore about it)

its the quality that you dont even expect when you get a game gifted for free without subscriptions. its like 10min to replace the -es with +es ….. its so typical, a huge nuber of known bugs, annoying and easy to fix, reported several times, ages ago. just 1 single person is enough to fix 90% of all these little bugs in a normal work-day …

i got a bug to report about eternity. it lacks the draw-burst of sunrise/twilight, also its projectile animation is the one of a standart-gs. the aura doesnt change with the day/night cicle, also the aura appears right out of your face, not like all other auras. they are around the character, this one is just in the middle of everything. please fix these bugs, ty

the arah run itself is still possible, a simple trick at the boss and here we go, no problem solo with the mobs ….
kittenload of bugs, reported 100000 times, in the game for ages, easy to fix, never fixed … welcome to arenanet, where we just do wat we want and dont care whats actually happening in the game …

there is no draw-animation when you use eternity, also, projectile effects are missing.
there is no appearance change when its in sunrise form, still the “twilightish” footsteps and aura.

it would easy as kitten. just give them back the auras footsteps, and fix those kittening bugs. or better, redesign it. giving back the old auras is at least a start, but in this case , you combine 2 legendarys just to get a glowing crystal and losing the positibility to swtich between the skins. waste of money. i really regret making eternity

it really seems anet doesnt care about exploits. i reported a ton of bugs, neither of them got fixed. and its not i didnt give them time, i reported them half a year ago and nothing happened. one might say, anet tolerates it, even if its an exploit, because its not a gamebreaking exploit like duping. although they said its against the users agreement.

maybe anet can really change the model, aura, and effects, and just give every eternityowner sunrise and twilight (unbound) back?
i would totall forge them again if eternity looks like that and ive never talked someone who wouldnt like that makeover.
well, i dont have too much hope to get a real eternity like i this thread, but i expect to get the bugfixes, and an aura change.
