Sorry Anet, I’m a loyal customer who has spent 100s on the gem store but this is too much. Are you kidding me? maybe 700 for 5 slots but ONE?

I’m scared that this addition reflects the state of the game, desperate to grab as much cash now while the ship sinks.

They keep getting progressively worse with every release.. it’s hard to think someone was paid to create this.

Having the exact same issue with my G500.. the game is completely unplayable right now.

Everything else in windows/other games work fine.

If I remember right Aion used to have in-game surveys once a day for a week or so, to which when you complete them you’re given some fun transformation tonics etc.

Also with the trial accounts, if people do not buy the game by the end maybe they could be sent an email survey as to why they didn’t buy the game, with the last question being left for the user to add additional details/thoughts on the game. (I believe EQ2 did this).

Any ideas? haven’t had any crashes lately until today’s fix.

Have tried client repairs but no luck.

I think it’s a great move, it means we can focus on winning the tournament rather than 1000 pve’ers clogging up the queue, breaking off from the force to tag dolyaks and sentinels.

Oh my god, rangers were ignored for 2 YEARS.. they were laughed at.

Now what? other classes now click on the dusty Ranger section of the forums and unload tears.. I kittening love it.

All because of what? Rapid Fire shoots a little faster? it’s not like the damage increased, pre-patch I was already using Quickening Zephyr to achieve the 2 1/2 second cast time. “B-but too much damage in short amount of time!!” Please, tell that to the 2 years of 12k heartseekers and backstabs.

Guess what? I’m still a glass cannon, get close and I’m pretty much dead.

I’m just happy to see rangers being noticed now, some regarding them as a threat in which for too long were just ignored or seen as a free kill.

I find this insulting to new players and a complete slap in the face to the foundations this game was built on..

I thought the idea for a new player was to jump into the game, explore, discover new areas and features.. for example; when you see the skill point icon you think “ooh what’s this? I’ll make my way there and have a look” then be greeted with a challenge etc.

I feel as if a new player, instead of walking into a theme park and deciding where to go and what to do for themselves have instead walked into a theme park run by a dictator telling you what to go on first and how to have fun ‘their’ way..

So wait wait… hold on, level 40 scrolls exist and they DIDN’T give them out as part of the Second Birthday gift?

Really? and to think people are payed money to come up with these decisions.

I have a suggestion, I hope Anet reads this thread because this is something I think a lot of people can benefit from.

So you have a character that has 100% map completion?

You make an alt and level it to 80 in WvW or through birthday 1-20 item + Tomes of Knowledge but can’t have that character join in on guild events or helping other players around the world because you haven’t got all the waypoints?

What I’m suggesting here is that there should be an item in the Gem store for accounts that have the 100% map completion account Medal that can allow for 1 character (or alt) to unlock all way-points in Tyria.

Here are my reasons as to why I think this is fair:
-With just the waypoints unlocked it doesn’t abuse the 100% map completion since WPs are a very small part of 100% completion.
-It doesn’t skip any content since if you did this on a level 1 character he wouldn’t be able to do much in Orr (for example).
-We have already seen items in-game that speed up alt progress anyways in the form of Tomes of Knowledge and Experience 1-20 scrolls.
-Anet have acknowledged the Commander Tag to be account bound since experience is based on the player rather than character, meaning that once you’ve experienced all the WPs once then you can potentially carry this across to other characters and help others out.

Either that or there should be a NPC who would unlock all WPs in exchange for 1 Gift of Exploration, which would prove you have a 100% character.

I ask for this as with every alt I make I can get them to 80 faster each time with Tomes and Story missions etc which cause a small amount of the map unlocked, but I really want to use my new alts to participate in guild activities, dungeons and play with others.

I realize I could spend hours unlocking the WPs manually but since the game is becoming more alt friendly I figured this would be a nice addition.

It’s way too difficult to program a system where the item would be a consumable and would unlock emotes for your character through a simple / command.

They managed it in GW1, yes you didn’t have to click an item but you entered a promo code and it unlocked “/dancenew” across the applicable characters.

I tried what you said and it worked for a couple of days but I have just crashed when idling in LA. I managed to log back in but the second I turned my camera I crashed again, I have now managed to escape to Gendarran Fields and everything seems normal for now…

Is there no cure?

This is ridiculous, it’s happened again.

I have been playing ALL day without problems, going to many zones INCLUDING CURSED SHORE, yet when I find a group for Arah, I zone to the map and then crash again…

I’ve tried over 10 times now and I can’t get back in, I feel bad for the group who are probably waiting on me.

It’s happening again… I joined a group for Arah, zoned to the map, crashed, crashed, crashed… got back in, kicked and some disappointed people in party chat.

Me and my friend have been debating on what he is actually saying constantly throughout the fight. My first guess is “yeeeeah boyyy!”

Any dev want to confirm what he’s tyring to say?

This is the most fun I have EVER had in GW2!

I would totally buy this game JUST for the superbox….

Have you checked your temps at the time of the crashes?

I don’t think temps have anything to do with it, seeing as I can access every other zone but the one I crash in for a certain amount of time.

Update: Crashed upon entering Cursed Shore

Bumping because it’s happening again, again and again now….

I joined Frostgorge Sound Overflow… started fighting Jormag and BANG crashed… logged back into a different overflow and everything is fine, until I re-joined my friend in the overflow where I crashed and it happened again… causing me to miss out on Jormag half-way through the fight.

What the kitten is going on? it’s so god kitten annoying, repair does NOTHING, re-installing does NOTHING.

I’m still going for mine…slowly.

I’ve tried about 100 attempts in the forge to make the precursor with no luck, and I only have about 60 of each t6 material.. they are about 30silver each on the broker!

I guarantee that by the time I get mine, they will release a new/better set of legendaries.

Have we had any precursor drops reported yet?

This seems to happen at least once every other day, basically I will be jumping around then suddenly I get a crash to desktop, I log back in but before the load screen fades it will crash again and again and again. If I log in another character that is in a different map, it will be fine, but if I zone into the map where my other character has crashed… the same will happen again.

Repair does absolutely nothing but waste my time.

The funny part? if I wait 12-24 hours it will sort itself out and I can log into the zone again.

Any help would be much appreciated.

My god, these had to have been made by the most uninspired artist in the world.

Surely they want to make money… give us something flashy !

Instead of Anet staff coming into this thread to point and tell us we’re wrong, how about actually addressing the issue at hand and tell us what you are doing to fix this?

This current ‘solution’ is nothing more than a blind quick fix.

Call me crazy but I bought about 30-odd lion keys last night and the only thing worth noting was a minipet pack which produced a 5g mini…

Feels like a waste but at least I got the guild a kitty load of influence.

It’s either that or convert the gems to gold and play the Precursor Mystic Toilet roulette.

I’ve been having the same issue for months, it only happens with CERTAIN BREASTPLATES.

Race: Norn
Sex: Female
Class: Guardian
Breastplate causing the issue for me: Flame Legion Breastplate

As you can see, in the hero panel it appears fine but in reality, not so much. The neck will return to normal colour once I remove the above Breastplate.

First two are of my guardian, next two are my ranger

If you weapon swap skill 5 you can have a casual nap.

I don’t think Anet really cares about what price they ‘should’ be, because the economy for precursors are entirely player driven.

I believe they need to look at alternative ways of obtaining them, such as a level 400 craft recipe that requires a load of materials to compensate.

That way, prices will drop naturally, but if the materials required for the recipe are rare then the precursors will still hold an average value in which ‘normal’ players could potentially obtain with gold.

Do we know yet whether the birthday gift system (I assume there will be one) is based of character age(like gw1) or account age?

I ask this because I made the mistake in GW1 of constantly remaking my characters and in turn, missing out on years of decent mini pets from birthday gifts… and now I have that urge again to remake some characters already but I’m quite hesitant this time.

I say bring back the pre-patch sounds but just turn it down a little (not as low as this patch).

I loved that it played 2-3 different sounds, yes it was a little loud but I figured that was the point.. but I’m all for reducing the sound SLIGHTLY but not to this level.

What gets me is the Legendary weapons made just as much noise but with loads of flashy visual effects.. you don’t see them getting nerfed.

I think the way to get a Legendary in this game is an utter disgrace. A complete farm fest.

Why should I have to do repetitive tasks in order to get something of prestigious value? look at EverQuest 2’s way of getting your Epic/Mythical weapon – http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Wizard_Epic_Weapon_Timeline

It’s a series of quests that take you on a journey across the game and makes you feel like you’re on a ‘legendary’ adventure.. the weapon is part of the lore (or your personal ‘story’).

I really do want my legendary but every time I look at the wiki I just see “you need 250 of this, this this, rng this, that 100 gold here, there, 100 again, 250 of this, grind this dungeon 30 times, karma karma” etc etc.

I don’t care what anyone here says, obtaining this stuff ISN’T fun.

I think they need to bring back Preparations.. imagine the possibilities!

Fire arrows, Poison arrows, Barbed arrows, Ice arrows and even Explosive arrows (imagine long bow skill 5 + exploding arrows)

I believe it would make Rangers a lot more versatile.

I just had to max my speakers and in-game sound to hear it…

It’s gone from having 2-3 sound effects to just 1.. which fades quickly …“brr”…. is all I hear now.

Wow… if I knew this was going to happen I would have sold mine for 100g… what a waste!

Is it town clothing or a type of mount? If it’s town clothing, why are we getting another broom? We already got one from Halloween with the witch’s outfit, now you’re releasing one seperately? Feels like a waste of money for those that bought the costume. I mean, you already gave out a witch’s hat and now a broom? Might as well just put the whole outfit back in the cash shop.

I’ve personally spent just short of £300 on the this game from gem purchases alone (not all at once, just a few each month). Mainly to buy festive items and slots but also to buy gold with any remaining gems.

Sometimes I do wonder if I should have spent this much on a game or not but to be honest, I’m going to be playing this game for the next few years as MMO releases the past few years have been let-downs.. Guild Wars 2 has no monthly sub and I’ve been having a blast, so I see nothing wrong with supporting a company for providing me an entertaining experience during my free time, I think of it like donations but via the Gem store.

I win because I can use the unwanted Gems to give me a boost in gold each month.
Anet wins because my money is helping the gears stay greased and continue to provide updates/expansions to keep me/us happy.

Says it’s got malaware and is advising me to stay away, this happened with GW2 Guru right before I got hacked so I was wondering if anyone else has had this site blocked today?

Luckily I’ve beefed my account security since then so I don’t think I’m in much danger.
