Could be worse, my PSU went on Thursday. No pc until the 26th.

I used mine during the Halloween event, i died a couple times when i wondered off in the Mad king’s Labyrinth on my own. saved me a few silver.

I solo’d it so have not had this trouble, but reading this thread actually puts me off wanting to group with randoms, i’d be quite annoyed if i had just spent all that time only to be kicked before i get any rewards.

My first MMO and my first in-game holiday event, loved it and really enjoyed the brawling fun, hoping they expand on the brawling with lots of new tonics and toys plus costumes in the future.

The clock tower was very frustrating after 2342323 attempts, but the satisfactions and feeling i got when my Charr finally completed it was great and i think the puzzle it’s self was brilliant.

I solo’d the Mad King, and although my rewards were rubbish for the 40+ minutes it took me, overall i enjoyed the Halloween event very much.

My only one complaint, i was kind of hoping and waiting they would lower the price of black lion keys just for this holiday, as i seriously don’t believe they are worth 125/450 gems considering the chance of getting anything useful is very rare.

Still, great job Anet.

I find it ironic that people can make a perfect score on the SATs and yet others still can’t get above 2000.

Then again there are bots that can record your movements, then you play them back and they will effectively run the entire tower even if your inventory is blocking the WHOLE screen.

Exactly, it’s down to player ability, people get frustrated with their failure and look for an easy excuse. Hence the sudden Charr/Norn hate.

Level 80 Charr Warrior, just beat it after 3242834 tries and a lot of abuse from little Asura players.

Got Mad King slippers and two spooky tonics.

Took me about 40 minutes or more, rewards put me off doing it again.

I got D/C right as it started so missed it. Typical.

Did it solo and recorded it with fraps, got a 10 slot trick-or-treat bag, 5 chattering skulls, crafting booster! and one green mace. took me over 40 minutes by my self and the reward ensures i’ll never do it again.

It’s basically a dungeon, you have to find a group of 5 that’s if you all don’t get separated into overflow. Would have been much better if it was like a world boss where we all could pile in.

Make a bigger character if your little guy can’t see over my Charr.

Just ignore them, my main is a Charr Warrior and i won’t change character just to please others.

I fear people into the water by the forge, i mean why shouldn’t i? i get knocked down feared into the water my self, i would much rather have a knock down ability than the pumpkin throw and joke skill. There are a ton of transforms that will also need to be balanced if they are to change the mad king outfit due to people complaining.

Didn’t get jack apart from more candy corn some plastic fangs etc… on the bright side at least i have some bank space after losing all of my boosters.

Yes give us some kind of settings, i have no lag at all when playing even when with a large zerg, give me a slider so that i can choose to have more players on screen from a farther distance than 4 inches. I understand that the reason i probably have very decent performance is because of this very issue, but again the more options the better i say.

Not going to lie, my Charr looks awesome with the mad king outfit on, i would absolutely love to be able to wear this as my armour.

Pay to win what exactly? what are you winning? a little crown above your head for a few seconds? come on, if your armour was getting broken, or you were losing out on items etc, then i could understand as there is no real balance between any of the tonics. But this is a silly time wasting fun feature, i found being a pig and one of those little spiders or birds impossible against, mummy’s or mini golems etc, but it does not matter, it is just mess about nothing serious nothing to lose or gain.

I disagree, sorry but the zombie from the cauldron is pretty decent, i do just fine with this transform even with them using fear. This is not something to take serious, its a bit of fun, a time waster. I also found the mini golem from one of the mystery tonics to be pretty effective.

If you destroy them they are gone forever, you also will not be able to buy them once Halloween is over, they are only on sale during the Halloween event.

No we don’t, because if we do, then i will seek a refund and no longer be able to play. The reason i bought this game (it’s my first MMO) was because of the no sub fee.

I ignored it because i have yet to see it do that, i know i can hit players not in brawl, but it has no effect on them as far as i can see, they just stand still and never get knocked down, unlike players who are actually engaging me. If i’m wrong on that then i hold my hands up, and Anet will probably fix that as it’s likely a bug if that is indeed what happens.

Seriously, having it instanced would kill it, it would be an inferior form of pvp. The charm to this feature is that you can do it anywhere anytime(as long as you’re not in combat) as i said above, it is exactly what we needed for when large groups of players are waiting for world bosses etc. A silly bit of fun.

Exactly, its the kind of thing people will do when waiting for world bosses etc, just drink a few tonics or stick on some costumes and have brawl whilst you wait, hardly advanced enough for it to have it’s own instance, i do it for fun and as a time waster, not to go through loading screens so that i can run around whacking people.

Seriously you guys are doing something wrong here, as fear does not work on people who are not brawling. If they are fearing you off of edges,steps away from your destination etc… then you must be either wearing town clothes or joined in some how. i am able to walk through in my armour just fine without none of this effecting me at all.

i can run the game on high (shadows medium) with no lag and yet even i still have invisible people unless i get up quite close, i think this is by design as like i said, i have zero lag and still have to be very close to see people.

I think the whole point of that skills is to tell a very bad joke :P hence why it dazes and knocks people out.

Well done to the artists of these costumes, they look fantastic and i even get a little sad when i leave town and have to revert to my armour.

All i know is if you do well you get a crown above your head, i could have sworn the crown gets bigger as well, but that’s probably just my eyes playing tricks on me. They did say that if this feature remains popular they would support it. So let’s hope it is indeed popular and they add to it, because despite how simple and basic it may be, i actually enjoy it a lot.

As simple as this feature is, i love it, great way to relax with a bunch of randoms in Lion’s Arch. Hope we get new toys and even more creatures to transform into.

Getting disconnected now every 20 seconds of logging in, not using any mobile app so that’s not it.

What i have noticed and happens 100% right now, if i quickly teleport out of the city or if i am moved to overflow i have no trouble at all. the second i enter a city i am DC within 10 seconds.

They can’t do that if you are not brawling, and if you are in brawl mode by mistake, simply press time out and they cannot do anything.

Anyone know what the Candy corn servant actually does? when i summon him he just follows me. is that it? i was expecting his help in the brawls or something….

Just to update this, i have just received my costume, not sure if Anet did anything or if it was delayed somehow, but i have it and can finally enjoy this event again.

Getting the same error, is this why the gem store took 700 gems without me receiving the mail with my mad king costume?

Either way, today has been very disappointing with these issues i’m having.

@Hsinimod, my mail box had 1 mail in it at the time of ordering, still didn’t get my mad king outfit despite having my 700 gems removed. It is not there. do not assume every one is as thick as a brick.
