So a groups of 5 engies can steamroll through keeps? Pop a mesmer Time warp on top of that? No thanks…..WvW is broken enough as is
those 5engys could just build a ram or cata to the same effect. Just looking for some variety here.. And when is the last time you saw 5 engys in wvw… I rarely see any others when I run mine.
I run a 10/30/0/30/0 build and can swap traits for either rifle or pistols. If I run pistols I use my condition armor and with rifle my berserker. Just depends on what I want to do at the time, and the switching is painless.
Bombs should do siege damage.

Trying out the engy racial f skills, and have to say the char hidden shot f skill is one of my favorites. It’s a dual pistol channel attack that is a lot of fun. The roar F skill is a good group buff to. What are your other favorites or worst ones out there..
( if you can provide the tooltip or a description that would be good too)

Full exotic MF gear, 5 pirate and 1 scavenger rune, MF Food Buff, and full stacks of luck sigil for over 3 hours in Cursed shore doing events. A month ago I was swimming in rares and the occasional exotic with this setup…..I take a break and now..nothing..not one rare..not one exotic… wtf anet get it together..
(yes I realize the DR would have kicked in at some point over the 3 hours..)
Now lets see, where have we heard the " we just care about kills not score" song and dance before… Oohhh right, those same “elite” guilds who transferred up a tier… Lets see how long these guys stick around.

You use exploits because your out numbered and fighting an unfair fight in WvW ….
Your a disgrace, simple as that. If you want even numbers maybe you should stay out of WvW. The worst part is you openly admit to it and have seemed to justify it in your own mind that its ok to do.Just shows the mentality of DR considering according to your sig your a commander for what has been claimed to be the largest WvW guild on your server. Here’s a clue, if your outnumbered die with some dignity like everyone else in WvW does. If you want even or close to even fights everytime you play then perhaps you should go to SPvP/TPvP.

It’s a shame that SF who isnt outmanned has to wait and spawn the NPC champion to take towers. It’s even numbers out there late night fellas. .

You act like not having the outmanned buff somehow means we have the supply to gain a foothold in the map. Like somehow us not being outmanned makes it so you guys don’t have the towers maxed out with waypoints in all the keeps. Our lack of extra karma and experience from events is draining you guys of supply so you can’t just keep repairing or out-siege us. Or the lack of outmanned means when you guys see that one of your towers is under attack you won’t bring half your server over to respond to it.

Well I wasn’t ready to give up on taking that camp. But you left. If someone tried to build siege I never saw it. Where exactly was it? The only siege that engagement had that I saw were the failed siege builds by you in the tunnel, your two ballista up front near the main entrance to the camp, and 2 (maybe 3) of your arrow carts down by the guards. But it is of little consequence. I got the camp. I was attempting to give out some kudos for that limited engagement, but like most of the storytellers here, your embellishments have muddied the point.
My explanation still stands. We didn’t overrun you to take the camp ( like you said in your original account) you fled. We capped. Simple.

My running mates went back to 5 mans last night. God that is so much fun Had 2 groups with about 9 total running together. Seems to be a good number….Enough to take towers at times, easy to coordinate, and still able to take on uncoordinated zergs.
I am really not sure from reading the forums that the higher tiers are any better at controling their zergs, they just have more people getting them coordinated. It seems almost every bracket is complaining of the same thing.

But your math isn’t adding up for small man group of 5. Isn’t two groups of 9 = 18. Help me out on this one :-p. Show me how you are 5 please I’m soo confused with this math. Are you saying it takes 3.6 Devonians to equal one of ours? So we divide your total number by 5 to get result? I still love ya though but please help me out on this one.

Now last night Ferg was hiding a group of 5-10 in red water and ambushing the 5( and sometimes 10 ) going to cap the camp. ( which is viable and well executed with some excellent portal, stealth use and hidden siege btw) so kudos on those good fights.What I try to stress with my groups are small victories. Camp captures, supply and reinforcement denial, and diversion assaults. I see both kain and ferg doing this as well. (and better at times) These are more critical to our servers success than these Zergs IMO and I look forward to doing more of this on reset and the weekend.

As I recall that night, we had…maybe 8 or so. And significantly larger Dev’s group were consistently attacking that camp. The groups attacking varied, but I think it had to be around 12-20 or so.
The crazy thing was that the Dev players would just keep trying to go through that door over and over and just get creamed by the two ballistas. Each time I kept thinking “Why don’t they just come in from the water??” But every time, they would just bang their heads on the door.
I think there were like 3-4 attack attempts that were repelled, until they finally came in with absolutely overwhelming numbers and took the camp. In the end, I’m not sure how many DR there were, but it was a sea of red names lol.
Nice revisionist history here, but some parts correct. Yes, you guys repelled the front door assaults ( 3 or 4 seems right ) And I will even spot you the "12-20 " vs your sieged up defense during thise repel successes. But you didn’t get overrun in the end. I and about 4 others pubbies went in and took that camp after you all stopped trying to build the siege in the tunnel to the tower. We were surprised you had abandoned it, but no matter. There were no overwhelming numbers; I am betting you expected us to do just that, but instead of staying to fight, you fled.
Oh yeah, you know I think you’re right, I was remembering it wrong. What happened was a BIG group came into the camp and killed our siege, and I died as well. I respawned, came back, and there were like probably over 20 DR in the camp. We wound up pushing you guys back before the supervisor went down. You guys even built offensive ballistas of your own in the camp IIRC….I remember RTLing to one and killing its operator.
And there is no doubt that those were overwhelming numbers…I wish I had a video, but just believe me, you had WAY more than us.
As for why we left…one of the LARP guys said they were going to Kaineng so I went with um. I guess they just got bored?
We didn’t build any siege nor defend that camp at all, and we did cap it because the three or four of us destroyed the hidden arrow cart in the building after we capped it. You must be confused, or were at a different camp.
I prefer to be in front, defending the wall you will be breaking your teeth on next. That is, until you transfer to another server to carry you…

In a recent discussion in a WvWvW thread, the topic of Spy’s has come up. Now that Anet has increased the time between transfers, is this also considered an anti spy action? Now they cannot stop you from buying an additional copy of the game ( or two ) for the express purpose of this practice, but how do you feel about the practice. I don’t use it, nor condone it. But that is just an opinion. I also understand there may be those who go for the " All is fair in war " premise. Where is the majority on this? Could anything be done to either encourage or discourage this practice?

I like you…few people make me laugh so much. Spies are a part of War, information is power my friend and I use information without cheating. Not once have my spies spent supplies in a Keep just because they could, not once have they tried sabotaging your stuff. Could they? Certainly…but I simply see no need to stoop so low. If you don’t think your Server has Spies then you’re a twit, they’ve often enough tried to distract Kaineng people by claiming in Map chat we were under attack in places we weren’t in order to pull our defenders away while the Devonas attacked the place we left.
As for the circumstance I’m talking about, you’re utterly full of crap in claiming you were outmanned, and that you’re trying to claim you were is both sad and pathetic, but not surprising. Now I WILL admit the Fergs were Outmanned, we did kill several of them as well when they came in to take our stuff. But I remember last week Devonas got smashed EVERY time they came into our BL, we held our Keeps and Garrison longer than both Ferg and Devona. We also never once lost our entire BL last week, so I fail to see why you’re talking about “6 weeks”…The reason Devona took back the BL was because one Guild of about 5-6 Devonas went around taking things and noted there was no resistance so they called Devs back into our BL to retake it.
Now that that’s said: I’m not going to diminish the strength of Devona, without War/iSpy keeping them locked into EB, holding our BL will be far more difficult now than it ever was before. But please…don’t be stupid and claim we’re just pushovers when we kicked your kitten repeatedly last week. We’re losing on points…and unfortunately as more and more Guilds leave(like now NoQQ) we’re losing out on skill now too.
I never claimed we were outmanned, I was just teaching you that you can ascertain that information without a spy.
Also, if “spying” was meant to be in the game, then Anet wouldn’t be limiting transfers to once a week…but whatever, I am sure we all believe you would only use a spy for intelligence gathering as all the other uses you mentioned would just be unscrupulous.

Edit: And for the Devs that don’t think we make a difference who took a break…just a couple days ago about a dozen of us got bored and when we saw our BL green we went in and made the whole thing blue again in under 30 minutes. We then proceeded to bail on it immediately after. :p It was funny watching all the Devs think they were something special for taking back Keeps/Towers so easily.
Lol. Yah, because you guys have made such a difference over the past 6 weeks. Ok..
And as far as this cool story bro, lets look a little deeper. You failed to protect your borderland ( it was all green ) so you brought a “dozen” and capped over it all blu in 30 minutes ( PvDoor much? ) AND THEN, you openly admit to FLEEING because you knew Devonas were going to come back and cap it all again. Wow, you guys should tell more stories like this., it certainly highlights the level of play that WAR and ISPY left behind;

@ FC in FC BL Good job pushing us back out of bluevale and bluebriar. We had a good foothold but really short on people. held you off for a while, but just couldn’t keep it up. You can thank the Mad King for your early Halloween present.

A better solution would be to just make all the POIs and Vistas reachable without having to cap the keep or tower. yes some vistas would have to be moved.
