Here’s my Noria Dolance! She is a baroness mesmer who’s effectively been raised to assume the position of Countess and head of House Dolance when her parents pass away. She is very proper and an rational intellectual, but stressed with the amount of pressure built up onto her shoulders. She is 29 years old, soon to hit 30. Her parents are still alive, but she is slowly being given control and command over the family empire. She manages professionalism and her independent nature carefully, and attempts to maintain a social interaction with friends and strangers. Outgoing if the company appears to be in her refined tastes, otherwise she may not show interest in conversation. A fine balance of nobility standards and logical actions.

If you decide to pose her with weapons, a sword and a pistol would be neat.

I haven’t seen any race bash the Sylvari for their relationships, not to mention there can be several counts where a same-sex NPC will flirt with a player, I’ve seen it with a Norn and a human. I wouldn’t rule it out.

The sheer amount of wat if this was serious. :P

He’s asking for fixes by asking for Anet to tell him that they will make a fix.

You -don’t- think Anet doesn’t already know about all these issues? Yes, we paid for the game, and I understand that as customers we are all deserved information to some degree. However, most of these threads appear to be children stomping their feet because devs are not giving content patches every week because they’re grinding the kitten out of the game.

Enjoy the game. If you don’t, take a break and wait for all the kinks to be worked out. People can harp all they want, it won’t make them work harder. I’d like to see some of you actually see what they have to do to make adjustments to the game.

Let them work. Whining on the forums takes up more of the attention away from working on the game. If you cannot accept that the Anet staff have lives and do not work to appease every single player, then perhaps you shouldn’t play any new games for the first few months of release.

No, removing the scoreboard would be silly.

WvW is already casual. You queue up, follow a Zerg or form a small group… And you just play. Seek out kills or go cap points. If the server is doing bad, just do a jumping puzzle or go elsewhere. It’s only as competitive as you make it. PvP isn’t casual, there is always going to be someone trying to one-up the others. It’s human nature.

Casual and relax play belongs in PvE. xD

Well, taking into account that LA was completely wiped out with the tidal wave., it was rebuilt by pirates. Not Kryta.

I would say that they have strong ties to Kryta, but not enough to get themselves involved in a race war. They have their own business to protect and considering the Risen threat, a military formed from pirates aren’t interested in fighting long term engagements.

I can see the centaurs doing something silly and end up joining one of the dragons though. In order to turn around the losing war.

Hardly anyone complains about the female-female relationships. Most straight men wouldn’t. Only the male-male relationships get flak because said straight men don’t find that ‘Hawt’.

Same way I could complain about half of the light armor outfits for females. Only a handful are actually modest, while the other half makes out your character as a lady of the streets. That’s frowned upon in normal society too.

Come on guys, let us split the maps into an even split, and let us focus on PvE and jumping puzzles. There’s no need for player violence!

There is a chapter for the Tarnished Coast US server, so now the guild has guild members and leaders on both Tarnished Coast and Piken Square. Feel free to join either server, whichever suits your timezone/connection! Check the website for more information.

I honestly don’t see any problems with the scepter.

I kite champion mobs with it, it’s the best weapon to pump out illusions if you’re a shatter focus build. (Which tends to work very effectively, in PvP.))

I’d say maybe extend the time by a little bit, so you are not forced to baby sit siege weapons.

Just saying, if I’m on a border lands, I typically try to be nice to others who are doing an neutral NPC event or if an opposing faction is taking another faction’s sentry or something, I try to stay out of their hair. I also don’t mess with people in jumping puzzles, that’s just rude :/

If you have no money on your character, it will take funds from your bank. If you have no money whatsoever, it’s free.

I agree with getting assists with supporting. Just one support skill or two should reward players with the same xp as attacking.

As I’m attempting to role-play, I would be very willing to spend gems on different town clothes. They don’t have to be extravagant outfits… I wouldn’t mind getting the human male town clothes for my human female.

That’s because you’re used to having to spend hours just trying to get even with other players on a base level and gear.

Guild Wars has never been about ‘who has logged in the most hours gets the best gear that stomps everyone else’. Everyone is put on equal grounds for fairness, the only thing you should be grinding for is awesome outfits. if you wish to grind at all, I personally don’t and I don’t have the time to bother with it.

Is there anyone in your guild based in Tarnished Coast, the US unofficial server? This would be a guild that’d mesh well with my character, however, I am not in Piken Square! You said you’re primarily based in the US, so just wondering!

We did fight a dragon in the Dream, no?

Perhaps the Nightmare -is- the source of the sixth dragon. If it takes over the Pale Tree, it’ll be released into the world through her. The Nightmare Court are actively seeking to corrupt the Dream of Dreams, perhaps the goal is to weaken the will of the Pale Tree? Who knows!

Honestly, the male/male couple in the Green Knight story line made me smile when I saw them. They acted just like any other couple would normally. The last scene that involved them had one complaining that the other was squeezing his hand so hard that he thought it was going to break. I found it adorable, anyways.

If the close-minded folk are going to hate the race because of such and feel forced to see such explicit content, then let them roll another race. No one seems to complain(as much) about the w/w lore couple that we have(technically, had?). My assumption is that the typical reaction is “it’s hawt” so they accept it better than something that they don’t like. But, I stress this, if knowing of a same sex couple(of plant people or actual humans) makes you uneasy, then be respectful and don’t be rude about it. They’re people who just want to find companionship, there’s no one who can say that’s wrong.

I personally want a blazer and pants for my female Mesmer. Have your silly skirts, give me a blazer or a trench coat and I will be a very happy person.

Well, honestly. A GS guardian could take out a Mesmer’s clone army pretty easily, and the only real source of damage from a Mesmer is their clones, shatters, and the confusion. Anything else has been pretty average, if not below.

I ought to be able to wreck 1v1 if I have to suffer through PvE.

I always imagined they tried to take on the next biggest glory, going into the Mists for the Hall of Monuments or something, and never being heard from again.

Or maybe they decided they wanted to retire and live a peaceful life. After killing gods and fighting against monsters from another realm, I’d want some peace and quiet too. xD

I’m simply shocked that people are far more worried about the physical aspect of the relationships than the emotional part, which is the whole idea of Sylvari romance.

If you love someone only because they got a nice rack or a six-pack, you’re doing it wrong. Sylvari do not care for physical barriers, whoever makes them happy earns their love. It’s a romantic’s dream come true, no?

Tandrel, Guardian, Cycle of Dawn.

Her dream put her in a great conflict which all races surrounded her against foes made up of shadow. Death surrounded her, and even those who were closest under a her projected shield died. The faces were vague and blurred, forever strangers. She would be the bulwark against the tides of evil, she would suffer so that others would not. She is an unsung hero, her glory is knowing that she is making the world a better place with each danger she confronts. A figure of a dragon looms in the distance, but not of a direct concern for her. She only knows joy and happiness by seeing it in others, and she walks along a path alone, and those that follow wither and die.

This dream is influenced by the efforts of the Nightmare Court, the experience of war and the horrors it brings have been added into the pool of memories. Memories that were given to Tandrel.

Effectively, she is to be another rank and file soldier sent to fight against the Risen, and much agony and torment await her.

I’ll say this, I haven’t lost a 1 on 1 fight as a Mesmer in PvP. WvW or sPvP. Even if I’m fighting two people, I can use Moa bird on one and kill/down the other before I die(might even survive!).

Though if you put me up against 3 mobs in PvE, I’m having to pull out all the l33t skills to do a little below a guardian’s or warrior’s damage. As a guardian with GS, I cleared through 10 mobs like nothing. As a Mesmer, that would be suicidal.

If they could nerf sPvP a tad while buffing PvE, I’d be a content Mesmer.

So, Noria Dolance is a baroness who helps manage her father’s(who’s a count) company of merchants and caravans while aiding a growing network of intelligence gathering headed by her mother(countess). She is the eldest of four, Noria has one sister who serves as an officer in the Seraph and two brothers who are helping with the merchant company. Noria is often involved in politics, seeking to earn a senator position.

The only thing she’s lacking are friends who are nobles as well! I have been trying to roleplay her out in the open with random people she comes across, but the taverns and such aren’t working out. So! I’m looking for a guild for nobility to sip on wine and have intellectual gossip and parties, all that good stuff. I have only seen one guild that was a noble house, but the name escapes me. So if there’s a guild out there that will satisfy my refined needs, leave a post! It can be another noble house or a collective group of nobles.
