Another bug I noticed with the Oakheart’s Essence skill (submitted an in-game bug report, too).
There is an existing bug with the Item Booster where after harvesting something your weapon skill bar flips as though you just weapon swapped. You weapons don’t actually get swapped though.
However, now the OE reacts to this bug as though you did weapon swap. If you have any charges of OE left after you harvest something under the effect of a bugged Item Booster, the remaining charges disappear and your normal skillbar returns.
Try checking with Craftsman Hobbs in LA. If it’s missing it’s possible he can provide a replacement. Otherwise…maybe it’s a bug and you might have to open a support ticket
Essence of the End is listed on the wiki as a crafting material. Did you check all your bags (including making sure none are minimized)? If you have any “Craftsman’s Bags” there’s a chance it went there instead of your main, top bag.
Two bugs that first appeared a few patches back seem to have re-appeared with today’s update:
— The guild buffs from the Guild Tavern have disappeared of many of my characters. It seems to be random as to what gets stripped off. My WvW character still has her WvW Reward Track buff, but several characters with the guild gathering buff lost it.
— Random utility skills on several characters have been unequipped. In one case, my level 80 ranger had no heal skill.
Bloodstone Fen is listed as part of Heart of Maguuma in the Wiki. I’m not sure why or how it was determined to be so. Maybe the Character Select backgrounds, or some code identifiers.
The game itself counts BF and EB as “Heart of Maguuma”. Heart of Maguuma dailies like vista viewer and gatherer count if you do them in either map.
There is a cap of 15,000 on achievement points from dailies and the now-defunct monthlies. You may have hit the cap.
Go to your Hero panel, Achievements tab and hover your cursor over the achievement point total in the upper left corner. Add the Daily and Monthly totals. If they’re more than 15,000 you’re capped.
If it helps any, ip 64.25.38.240:0 seems to be unbugged for this event. Gargantua has popped twice in the last 30 minutes or so here.
Someone posted on another thread (too lazy to find it, sorry) that it’s likely due to the bandit bounty, Ezal the Quick. He spawns right next to one of the trapped soldiers and may be killing or otherwise hampering that one NPC.
Shouldn’t the bow have a prefix designator on it? It’s Cavalier stats, so it should be named “Cavalier’s Short Bow”, I think? It’s just named “Short Bow” in the picture though.
If that’s a bug, is it possible the seller put it up in hopes some oddities collector would be interested?
Hunter’s Journal, entry/part 18. Several people are here at the spawn point for the tiger above Halkor Meadows. When you approach the marker the event to battle it appears, but no tiger. We’ve tried backing away out of trigger distance to try to let it reset, but there are enough people on this stage of the Journal that someone is coming by every few minutes.
IP is: 64.25.33.71:0
The drop rate from regular mushrooms seems to be very very low. They have a better chance to drop in multiples from high level fungus like Orrian Truffles/Snow Truffles and Sawgill Mushrooms. When you DO get some, they’ll drop anywhere from 2-14 at a time. Cursed Shore has a fair number of Orrian Truffles. Sometimes you can find several in the area between Noose Road and the Cathedral of Verdance. If you have gathering boosters and a guild with the gathering boost unlocked, grab those.
You’re looking, I believe, for the Favor Broker. The NPC should be in the Guild Initiative HQ in LA. Go into the instanced guild area, there should be a double row of NPCs in front of you. On the left, next to the guild Bank NPC should be the Favor Broker.
Note however that the conversion rate is 10k influence to 100 Favor. If your guild has less than 10k Influence, the NPC will not appear in the Guild Initiative HQ.
It could also be Fields of Ruin they’re missing. It’s out of the way and often missed.

Sometimes the reward credit trigger for a Jumping Puzzle isn’t on / at the chest. There’s a note on the wiki that seems to indicate that this JP’s trigger is at a particular spot:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/The_Collapsed_Observatory#Notes
Hopefully that’s the spot that will get you credit on that JP.
The other I personally know of with a not-quite-at-the-chest trigger is Conundrum Cubed in Mt. Maelstrom.
GL!
If your account is new, you won’t be able to see it until your character is level 15.
If you want the game on your PC, you only need to move the .dat file from the EHD to your PC. If installing via disc or the official game download website, go ahead and let the process run as normal. Once it reaches the point where it starts the big data download, stop the installer. Go to the folder the installer created for the game on your PC and replace the incomplete .dat file with the one from the EHD. That should “fool” the game on your PC into thinking it’s complete. It should run normally after that (give or take any patches/updates).
If you’re a new player, the ability to see the World Completion stats unlocks when your character reaches level 15 (I think). It’s part of the New Player Experience that was rolled out last September.
It was a bug introduced in the last patch. There IS a workaround though:
Take both the non-stacking items and put them in your bags. Re-zone (either to WvW or another map) or re-log to/from character select. The non-stacking items will change to stackable again.
:)
Laurels are no longer part of the Dailies reward. Instead they were moved to the daily Login reward (that little bouncy chest over your minimap at reset every day). Laurels are rewarded on certain days now:
Some QoL clunkiness I noticed:
— The Masteries access is very hard to see, being almost hidden in the sliver of space between the (former) XP bar and the mini-map. I took awhile to even notice it was there.
— When opened, the Masteries UI takes up an inordinate amount of screen space. I tend to agree with others who have suggested it might be better off in the main Hero panel. It seems almost an afterthought with where it’s placed now.
— The quest to collect ammo for the Pact forces has some redundancy or bug with the “place bomb” interact. A couple of times I was in the right spot to place a bomb and the game seemed to spontaneously do it for me while leaving the interact popup as well. The collection NPC for this quest also seems to have an unusually large “aggro” field. If the “place bomb” interact is still up and you accidentally click it again, you get dialogue from Chief Aviator Skybreaker…even though you are technically too far away to be able to realistically “talk” to her. I’m guessing the distance-dialogue is intended to help players figure out what to do.
1. Are you in the PvP lobby (the Mists lobby)? Some kinds of loot / champ boxes cannot be opened in the PvP lobby. If you are in the PvP lobby, try returning to PvE or go to WvW and try opening them there.
I got the Brisban Wildlands and all the maps show 100% and have a gold star but I didn’t get the achievement
I could be reading the OP’s posts wrong (and it’s been awhile since I got it myself) but I don’t think “Been There Done That” is an achievement. You won’t get a popup on your screen. Instead, it should show up as one of the selectable titles you can give a character on the list in your Hero window, under “General” and then “Hero”.
As for the missing PoI (if that’s still an issue), as others have mentioned, Chantry of Secrets is the “usual” culprit. If that’s not it, try checking the cities (sometimes overlooked).
Didn’t notice the lag last night…but definitely bad this morning/right now. 30+ seconds of watching multiple skills flash, running around trying to interact with Charzooka barrels at Jormag before rubberbanding back downed. The foes, of course, seem immune to lag and continue to pummel you regardless…..
Did an IP ping in-game, though not certain if it will help:
64.25.38.99:0 — very very bad lag
64.25.33.69:0 — also laggy
how in the heck is someone getting 14 million???? My highest on a lvl 800 is 1.3million.
Jump off the side of Rata Sum
If you have a speed boon on you and aim juuuuuuust right, you can clear most (not all) of the sloped side and hit the ground underneath (?) the city.
Ah Rata Sum….The secret Asuran testing ground to weed out the clumsy and not-so-nimble. Hightlights from my guild’s Jump-a-Thon last year, held in…you guessed it, Rata Sum:
I’ve actually had this bug pop up a couple of times since the 9/9 patch as well.
Most recently, I had left my character on the ledge near the start of the Skipping Stones jumping puzzle (see attached screenie). I’ve parked a character on that same ledge in the past going through the JP. But this time I returned to the character to find that the game had moved it to the ground below the ledge. My character was not anywhere close to the edge when I swapped toons earlier and I didn’t accidentally press any movement keys while loading back into the map. My best guess is that in some places, the game is somehow not reading “solid” surfaces as…well, solid.
my Vial of Condensed Mists Essence desapeared
in Account & Technical Support
Posted by: Meow Ren.5382
at bit late to ask…but did you check your bank, OP? Vial of Condensed Mists Essence is a rare crafting material. If you hit “Deposit All Materials” and the Vial wasn’t in an invisible bag, it would have been sent to your account bank. Check the materials section of your bank maybe?
This could be a bug…but just to ask the obvious: Do you mean that the exotic insignias and various armor stats for your tailor are all already (or still) “known”, making it impossible to advance your Tailoring past level 400? For example, before the big patch your tailor had “learned” to craft a Beserker Exalted Coat through the discovery panel…and post-patch, it had not reset and you cannot re-discover it? Would you mind perhaps posting a screenie or two (for science and bug-head-scratching)? This is the first I’ve heard of someone not having the exotics progress reset….
It means you have a piece of the old Magic Find gear. They did away with Magic Find on gear a while back and replaced it with account-bound MF. Somewhere your character has one or more pieces of armor, weapons or trinkets that used to have MF as one of the stats. You’ll need to hover over all your gear (don’t forget underwater gear as well) until you find one with no stats. Then click (or double-click, I can’t recall the exact process) on it to bring up a list of stats you can assign to it from.
You are already playing on megaservers.
Megaservers are basically like an overflow. When you enter an explorable area or town, you are now automatically placed on a version of the map with players from other servers in your region (NA or EU). Once a megaserver version of the map is full, another opens up and the game starts re-directing players to that map. This is to help prevent empty maps due to low populations on some servers.
You can still guest to other servers (limit of 3 maximum per 24 hours), but that’s only important if you’re in a guild that is doing Guild Missions.
Unless you are heavily into WvWvW or a member of a guild that’s based on a different server (you won’t benefit from any of the guild boosts or be able to access the guild bank) it won’t matter what your “home” server is.
Just to check — if you entered the Mists after the update that rolled out the Wardrobe, any PvP skins you had unlocked prior would have been automatically added to your Wardrobe. If you have mutiple characters, it might be a good idea (if you haven’t already) to hop onto each one and take them each to the Mists lobby as well.
Also…as far as I know, when PvP skins were added to the Wardrobe, some of the names of the skins changed. Have you double-checked by going to your account bank to make sure they really are missing? Accessing your Wardrobe through your hero window only shows the unlocked skin for that armor weight. So if you checked on a medium armor profession, you wouldn’t see any heavy or light armor skins. For the complete “list”, you need to access the wardrobe through a crafting station or bank NPC.
Otherwise, a support ticket may be your best bet….
I could totally see my ranger with a Juvie Llama by her side. It would be glorious! Especially if they make their attack the same as the deer in Queensdale, with a fear-inducing bleat. Just think:
Llama: *bounce*bounce*bounce*
rears up on hind legs
*whap*whap*whap*whap*
Maa-a-a-a-a-a-aaaaa
*whap*whap*whap*whap*
Maa-a-a-a-a-a-aaaaa
Foe: “AUUUGGHHH”
according to the wiki, you can get a transmutation charge or a Black Lion key from completing a zone.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Map_completion
Since you said you got a key, that means you wouldn’t get a trans charge. If you want a guaranteed trans charge though, completely explore one of the racial cities or LA.
So say for instance, my Guild leader is from Anvil Rock. Whereas I’m from Yak’s Bend. I will not be able to access the guild’s vault? I’m certain that I’ve peered into it before, which is why I ask.
Correct. Guild upgrades are bound to the server they were created on.
Each “branch” of a guild that is on a different server will need to create their own guild upgrades (which are completely seperate from the other branches). If you are certain you were at one point able to view a guild bank while not being on your guild’s home server, it could be that at some point your guild had a presence on Yak’s Bend and built up a bank. Maybe try accessing the guild bank from a different city in case the sometimes-bug Inculpatus mentioned is in effect?
Zafir’azim, located in Snaketail Inlet in Cussed Shore, right between the Skill Challenge and the armor repair NPC along the shore.
Just out of curiosity, were you guesting on the server where the bounty was kicked off from?
We found last week that off-server guildies who partied up with and rightclick-joined our “natives” for a bounty did not get commendations. However, when we re-did the bounty with the off-server folks guesting first and then rightclick-joining, they were able to get commendations. The first glitchy run they did enough damage to the targets to qualify for gold-level rewards, but it seems guesting is still required for the game to recognize where they are (megaservers or not). Sorry, hope that made sense!
You should be able to TP or merchant that heavy armor that’s taking up room in your bags. Out of curiosity, if you hover over one or more of the armor pieces, is there any text saying the pieces are soulbound? Or account-bound. That would prevent them from being sold. Also…what is the name on the armor? The only other thing I can think of is that it might be the set of “heritage” armor from the Heroic Edition of the game.
Are you typing the exact name of the item in the delete confirmation window? Capital letters and that dash too? The game is quite literal…any misspelling will cause it to not work.
I’m wondering if the dungeon count bug is more widespread. I wasn’t watching for it, but I just checked after having done Arah story mode with some guildies…it now says I have completed 3 dungeons. Again…have only done LA meta event once since last night’s reset and a single Arah story mode. I cannot for the life of me imagine what else would count as a “dungeon” now….
hmmm….Same here it seems. I have most certainly NOT done any story/explorable dungeons in the past 24 hours but HAVE done one round in LA…and now have progress on the Monthly Dungeon Participation tracker…
you can get 3 Trans stones (used when one or both items are level 79 or below) for every city (racial or Lion’s Arch) that you completely explore. Personally, I find Rata Sum fairly easy to finish exploring.
No there isn’t. But if you have another character that chose Priory, you can buy the armor and use Transmutation Crystals to make them account bound:
— Buy armor weight you want for your Whispers toon with Priory toon
— transmute each piece onto a low level white armor piece, keeping the skin of the Priory armor
— The resulting armor should have the Priory skin with the low-level white stats and say “account bound”
— Transmute the account bound armor onto your Whisper character’s armor
Might be an obvious question, but: did your Chef character acquire and “learn” the recipe for Carrot Souffle? It’s not a standard recipe that you can Discover…you need the recipe sheet for it. It dropped in the Molten Facility dungeon. That dungeon isn’t around any longer, but you should be able to buy the recipe off the TP.
the banks can be found in all the major cities (Lion’s Arch, The Grove, etc). Look for a black bag inside a gold coin icon on the map in the town. You can also access your account bank from any crafting station (also in towns, and found somewhere in the starting zones for each race). Alternately, you can click on the little tower icon in the upper left corner of your screen, travel to World vs. World and look for the crafting stations there. To go back to where you were before from WvW, go to the character selection screen and log back in.
Not sure if you’ve already seen them, but there are a few helpful guides here on the forums that might also help a bit (not necessarily specific to your guild-creation question, but still helpfull overall):
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/players/OMG-If-you-only-knew-this-tips-for-new-players

Celestial armor cannot be discovered.
You need to buy the recipes for each individual piece of armor off the TP (unless you have some from back when the Zephyr Sanctum was around).
Henge is actually ahead in their matchup and should (last I checked) have retained control of most of their home map. If you mean that you need points on the enemy servers’ maps, you may have to wait and try in the early morning hours if that’s possible for you. Or you will indeed have to wait it out and see if Henge draws a different color on Friday.
I could be mis-reading your sentence, but afaik guesting to another server does not work for WvW. When you try to enter WvW while guested, you either get an error message that you cannot enter WvW or it will kick you to your home world’s home map.
The experience scroll should be account bound (unless that’s changed). You should be able to put it in your account bank with the toon it’s on and pick it up with the toon who will be using it.
