Don’t get me wrong….I overall think the Golem event is a massive mistake to roll out on EB and the BLs and I feel it would have been much better suited to testing this event on EotM, which is already a K-Train.
However, now that we are stuck with it for a few more days at least, I thought I’d try to find the good in the event….here it is:
It’s an excellent way to quickly level an alt toon by jumping in a golem and mindlessly running along as part of a K-train quickly flipping point after point….yes it’s pretty mindless, but I’d MUCH rather be doing that with guildies and friends from the same server than running around doing hearts and trying to get xp in PvE.
Plus, the sale price of a lot of the gear that isn’t max lvl is actually higher than the usual drops from running WvW on a lvl 80 character, so overall I’ve made more gold during golem week than in regular WvW and I’ve ranked up faster due to faster capping of objectives as the K-train rolls from point to point.
So…there’s my two cents in a river of negative feedback about the event in general.
Do I think it’s a good event?….honestly, no, not in regular WvW…it should have been EotM.
Take a good look at Fort Aspenwood and Maguuma right now. They’re getting destroyed in PPT in their matches when they normally win their matches or come in a close second place.. Why? Because almost all of their WvW guilds won’t raid this week because of how stupid the event is and how it has made it pointless to try. Both servers are filled with WvW players who only care for WvW game mode.
Actually Fort Aspenwood is suffering a leak of guilds leaving to t3.

I think hammer bolt is fine where it is as it has potential to hit as hard as long range shot at 1000+ range. I agree with everything else tho. As it stands now hammer may be great in open world bosses due to the fact that revenant doesnt have other long range weapons (from what was datamined) and wvw in zergs. In pvp its going to be underpowered in current state
Then it’s a useless weapon, open world bosses as it is right now is literally standing on 1 spot and spamming 1.
Yeah, but that’s what I’m asking, I don’t know if I’ll lose that “streak” per se, since I didn’t get my chest today and I logged in. So, the next time I log in, I’ll get what should’ve been today’s chest.
I checked my Bifrost and it has the same part of the shaft missing, so it’s either the design or a defect that has been there since the legendary patch.
I attached a picture I got from the GW2 wiki that shows the same defect.
Today when I logged in, I didn’t receive my Daily login chest. I hadn’t logged in for 2 days in a row, until today. I checked all of my characters, thinking maybe I had a previous daily login chest that was “stuck” and needed opening before I opened the new one, but I found none.
I reported the issue in game like I could, but I was curious, has anyone else experienced the same problem?
Edit: Oh yeah, submitted a report under General PvE →Renowned Heart/Dynamic Content since no Sub-Area from any category really had anything to do with my problem.
We have submitted tickets (bunch of us), but we’d still like to bring this to light to ANet, to see if they have something to say on the matter. I still don’t understand why people say ANet doesn’t care about WvW?
Any explanation that doesn’t include a flaming from either CD or DR players? We just want to understand how it was done, and if it’s legal for us to use it too.
Could we get a screenshot that wasn’t taken from within the walls? If it’s actually outside the map on that cliff, maybe you could take a shot looking up from the wurm? Or has anyone actually checked the jumping puzzle to confirm it’s not there?
The one screenshot that claims to show the treb is very far out.
This is what I’m talking about. I guess people on NSP cry nerf whenever they don’t know how to counter something and cannot even properly scout it out confirming its off the map as they claim.
All I see is people making screenshots inside there garrison because they too scared some CD player will own them 1v1 style if they lure outside there garrison by themselves and properly confirm from all angles its off the map and not just by posting screenshots from one angle inside there garrison.
With the information they are giving us, its just like saying, screenshot, “the world is flat and not round anymore.” Rather than venturing out and actually proving or disproving the world is flat or round, aka that the treb is actually off the map, which it isn’t because that’s impossible.
We were actually inside our Bay (cuz we don’t exactly just camp garri while Bay is getting trebbed) and around 10 of us went to individually check your glorious JP, where we found nothing.
I’m utterly confused at the moment. My world, Northern Shiverpeaks, is fighting this week against Crystal Desert (who just went up to 8th place) and Devona’s rest (12th place) while we’re in the 13th spot. I thought tiers were decided in groups of 3 starting from the server ranked first down? How exactly did Crystal Desert ended up paired with NSP and DR (in GW2’s website, CD is even defined as being T4).
of the system working well because according to glicko this week should not even have happened. NSP has upset the tournament predictions 3/4 weeks and is coming 2nd in silver straight out of being in bronze.
This weeks shows a deeper complexity of this game, which is what keeps it alive and interesting. Glad to have experienced the week and the tourney personally, and hoping to see many more great matchups to come. NSP pride!
Eh, let’s be honest, YB handed NSP 2nd place during the matchups where they were together. This accounts for some of NSP’s “upsets”.
Regardless, I do give NSP props for beating SBI and DR. That is actually quite the upset!
YB did not hand 2nd place to NSP, NSP fought for it. On the second week of the tourney, the matchup was NSP-SBI-YB. NSP was second place and SBI placed third. Third week of tourney, NSP was third (YB has massive SEA numbers and DB’s SEA crew started playing towards the end of the week). Last week, NSP-SBI-DR, NSP topped SBI again. Did DR and SBI hand NSP the 1st place on the last week?

I’ve tried opening a bunch of champion loot bags and I still can’t activate this. I’ve opened exotic Elaborate Ritual Bags, master, rare and exotic Embroidered Saddlebags, Gilded Strongboxes, white and exotic Heirloom Seed Pouches and blue, exo Deluxe Gear Boxes.
I’ve read everywhere it’s bugged, even in the wiki, and I’ve seen patch fixes come and go but I’m still waiting for this. I know you might have your hands full ANet, but I’m just trying to bring this to your attention again just in case you’ve missed it!
