To be specific, the ‘physical’ chest on the ground is something i have been able to loot…However, tonight I completed Triple Wurm Event, and 3 guild missions, and also the daily. I haven’t received any of the ‘on-screen’ chest that reward you with things like Guild Commendations, Ascended Loot, mystic coins, or Luck/Karma.
I submited a bug report in-game under the same account name with a screen shot of the Tripple Wurm kill and ~17k xp gain.
Is it possible to be reimbursed for all these chest?
- chest from killing triple worm
- daily
- guild bounty
- guild puzzle
- guild dash
Another Guildie who was reping in the same guild as me also did not receive any chest that usually contain guild commendations. His account is Xephyr.6805 and he didn’t recieve rewards for
- guild bounty
- guild puzzle
- guild bounty
- guild dash
The wiki says fractal weapons should drop from the daily rewards chest for Fractals 10 and beyond.
How rare are they? After asking around it seems other people are also perplexed by being able to obtain these.
yeah after opening 2k boxes, a recipe in the mail would be nice.
I do not plan on making another gem store purchase till the next SAB because of this horrible experience.
post patch 500 boxes. just got 2 favors. no recipe.
Drop Rate didn’t fix the issue much at all.
I logged on and opened 500 bags, no recipe. I opened the TP oh look 350 gold for recipe, then noped out of GW2—Back to Wildstar.
clearly the drop rate is still too low to stabilize the demand/availability. I suspect nothing has changed with regards to OP’s concerts, (its just happening at 1/3 the scale it was before).
bump no dev response yet
To quickly convert tickets > chances:
Use this Mesmer Greatsword build
Get all the Gambets EXCEPT Hamstring
you should have 5 gambits:
- Crowd Favorite
- Exhausted
- Frailty
- On Fire
- Squeamish
Challenge Masticus
Run around collecting the Bonus Damage Orbs and continually cast your Phantasmal Berserker (GS4) on Masticus.
Once 3 Phantasms are up they should keep both Masticus and the Quaggon (Crowd Favorite Gambit) permanently crippled.
The Quaggon dies first, as the Berserkers will cleave and hit and cripple both targets.
Use blink to make space or gather orbs.
IF you happen to be hit by Masticus he can cripple you. Don’t panic, just use Null Field and keep running towards the next orb.
You should get 5 chances every round. With Zerker exotics and ascended trinkets I usually finish before 1min remaining.
Guys seriously stop farming this…it is bugged, or the first item of its kind in terms of rarity.
TheFallenAngel.1320 should have rolled before hand rofl
I would love a tonic that temporarily gives me the Zephyrite skills (not to be used in WvW obviously).
~300 opened. Have only got 1 favor.
There have only been 3 known Lyssa recipes to exist in the game thus far. Two of the players who got it obtained the recipe within the first couple GC they received casually doing the event.
Do not waste your time farming this event. Its beyond a 1 in a million chance at this point. Lyssa is the only item i’m interested in this patch, seeing as how its virtually unobtainable—I’ve logged out till the next patch.
Almost 3 days have passed, and no Dev response on the matter. If this item’s loot table is working as intended it will become the most rare item in-game should nothing change about the drop rate before the next patch.
Smooth Penguin if you want to make an argument that is fine, but at least have some credible points. Unless you can do that you are just flaming a discussion that has brought up valid points.
Are there any other items that can be traded that have left so little evidence? If you can I’d be happy to delete this post.
Why not just remove the WP cost in this zone?
the point of listing the players and there reports was intended to contrast the few players who picked up the recipe after a few tries.
the fact that there has only been 1 recorded TP transaction is grounds enough for a broken loot table.
I got the feeling the hunt for the new Chaos of Lyssa is turning out to be another “Final Rest run around”…
Developers mentioned the item was obtainable from a ‘Large Boss Chest’, yet no one in the game ever managed to actually get the item…that is until they patched the Shadow Behemoth loot table. Pre-patch 0 final rest were obtained by players, after patch—the item is now regularly obtained as a rare drop from the Meta event in Queensdale.
Like this scenario, the new item Chaos of Lyssa is another mystery item that has once again brought up the question of a possible ‘bugged’ loot table.
It has now been 2 days since the patch and currently there has only been a single Recipe for Chaos of Lyssa posted on the trading post.
Lets make a list of players who have recorded opening Gauntlet Chances (the loot bag which is stated to very rarely drop the item):
Skady.5916 has opened 700+ Gauntlet Chances
hyman.7526 has opened 200+ Gauntlet Chances
Harbinger.8637 has opened 500+ Gauntlet Chances
shiven.1892 has opened 250+ Gauntlet Chances
Groonzie from reddit has opened 100+ Gauntlet Chances
VinceAutMorire from reddit has opened 600+ Gauntlet Chances
That is over 2000 Gauntlet Chances opened and 0 recipes.
The few player who have reported the item drop for them:
Zenom.1394
Papadoplas.6542
Have both mentioned they got it on the first few bags.
So Anet…
Why are there not more recipes listed on the trading post 2 days after the patch?
Why do some players get the item easily, while many others cannot?
Why has there never been any other item in the game that drops so randomly?
I am also experienced the error code Waffles posted.
This is a very serious issue—I hope we get a Dev response ASAP. I’ve already logged of early for the night, but I’ll keep my eye on this post.
please get this to the front page asap!
I’ll re-iterate some major problems with necromancers in PvE dungeon/fractal content
- Necromancers are frowned upon by dungeon/fractal runners because they over-write important combo-fields with their less usefull combo fields.
- Those less usefull combo fields are most of a Necromancers AoE Damage. Unlike every other class in the game—Necromancers don’t have a weapon that can auto-attack cleave a stack of mobs reliably
- Unlike the other two scholar professions—Necromancers cannot provide meaning utility pull-to-pull.
On the other hand:
- Elementalist provide: Huge might stacks, Object/Structure Nukes (icebow), Quick boss deaths (Fiery Great Sword), Fire Fields, Condition Cleanse, Insane Damage, Blind, AoE Swiftness, Great damage
- Mesmers Provide: Incredible Reflection up-time, Time Warp, damage sponges, 50% dmg reduction Phantasm, Blink/Portals, SoI’s Boon multiplication, Invisibility, Condition Cleanse, Regen/Protection, AoE Swiftness, Great damage
__________________________________________________________________
Potential skill-updates for PvE Necromancers
MH Dagger: The idea is to give the Necromancer MH Dagger a ‘Condtion’ cleave that then synergies with Life Siphon for increased AoE damage
- Necrotic Slash: still deals direct damage to the main target, but now additionally applies bleed to foes in cleave range.
- Necrotic Stab: still deals direct damage to the main target, but now additionally applies vulnerability to adjacent foes.
- Necrotic Bite: still deals direct damage to the main target, but now additionally applies Torment to adjacent foes.
- Life Siphon: drains additional health from nearby foes suffering from bleed.
- Dark Pact: Immobilize your foe. If your target is suffering from Torment this skill is a blast finisher.
The synergy between the Auto-Attack and Life Siphon would be similar to the Warrior’s attack chain with Axe—melee-ranged cleave with built-up burst.
Dark Pact additional blast finisher effect would only trigger if the main-target is inflicted with torment. So an ideal candidate would be foes around the Auto-Attack target, or a follow up to a Death Shroud 5. I like the idea of Dark Pact—a skill that immobilizes—triggering a blast finisher on an enemy suffering torment—a skill that punishes mobility.
Utility Skills
- Corrosive Poison Cloud: Is now a Smoke Combo-Field. Reduced CD to 30 seconds.
The poison/weakness combo finishes are redundant for a skill that already applies both conditions over a long period of time. As a smoke finisher, this skill could be used for applying long duration Invisibility via blast finishers or Blind via projectile/whirl.
- Summon Bone Minion: Activates a blast finisher where each minions are spawned.
activating and exploding bone minions would yield a total of four blast finishers. If used in a dark field, this could be a sequential application of AoE Blind. If used in Corrosive Poison Cloud out-of-combat this would yield 12 seconds of stealth for spawning/exploding both minions.
- Epidemic: Whirl Finisher
- Spectral Grasp: Make this a 2-chain skill. This first ability only pulls a target to the location you cast the ability. The Follow up ability would apply Chill and Grant Life-force.
By doing this, a Necromancer can isolate a single mob from a group while remaining ‘out of combat’ and then swap utilities before the second ability places the utility slot on cooldown. this would be a more useful version of the Thief Scorpion wire and welcome more Necromancers to Arah.
“…maybe it’s single target nature is keeping that from working…”
- Confusing Images – deals AoE Damage to foes around the target. 3.5sec channel/4 second cooldown (no confusion)
…we don’t want to overload the autoattack as we think that promotes more mindless play…
- Ether Bolt – single-target, fast projectile (think Arcane Blast), and instant cast (like Lightning Strike and Blinding Flash).
- Ether Blast – PBAoE on target, non-projectile that applies vunerability. 3/4 cast.
Ether Clone- Bouncing Projectile like Reaper’s Touch that confuses foes and applies retaliation to allies. 3/4sec cast
The idea is to have Confusing images channel and supplementary Ether Bolt instant casts as your ‘no brainer’ direct damage option…However this is unique in that it becomes about waiting for your 1skill chain to reset.
If you use the second ability Ether Blast during your Confusing Images channel, you interrupt the channel for a single burst of AoE + Vunerability. If you invest another 3/4 seconds to cast the 3rd ability of the 1 skill chain, you apply Confusion and retaliation to nearby foes/allies randomly.
The trade off here is higher AoE Damage + Single Target using only Ether Bolt during a Confusing images -OR- spending more time chaining the 1 skill to apply a less damage and more offensive support.

I can now confirm that Regina’s method works. Remember the description of how the rows are! I think many people are leaving the 4 mobs near the boss, rather than the.. 7? on the long row.
Based on Regina’s description the ones to keep alive are the +
- – - – - – +
- – - – - – +
- – - – - – + B
- – - – - – +
I have tried this method, and it did not work.
Sorry for the confusion surrounding this achievement. SNIP
Hope this helps.
This does not help… The achievement is bugged. I know for a fact. As myself and a collective of other players simply cannot obtain it no matter how the instance plays out.
I have killed him without killing his his crew, killing all but the first 4 in front of him, left each lane in different attempts, left half the room, tried with adds in combat/out of combat, etc. I am officially done trying, if you guys wana remove -or change- the achievement—that would be nice for those of us who have found no success with everyone’s solutions.
I’m also very disgusted by the fact I’ve done this dungeon literally 40-50 times, and I have yet too seen a new Blue Plant weapon…No one in my party has ever gotten one, Why is that? I play the new content and I cannot get achievements and do not see new rewards.
I wish the people who worked on this patch were as responsive as the people who fixed the issues with the SAB patch. Problems were solved when there were issues. It was also nice to have an actual way to obtain rewards. This most recent patch was decent PvE content but from my experience I will not play it again or think of it as rewarding content.
you forgot to include the 20mins of praying the fire slime attacks your buddy instead of the black slime.
Joking…but seriously some runs I swear the near fire slimes make B-line directly for the black slime and everything goes downhill from there.
wow threads like these are really destructive…can someone delete this thread?
..snip..
Hope this helps for the ppl who want to get the achievement done.
I wish it did help but myself and other have tried all the different strategies people have posted… not exaggerating. I appreciate your recount of ‘what worked’ and ‘how to do it’, but I honestly feel these recounts give people false hope & lead them to waste more time.
We really need an official response from a dev or an update to clarify the parameters of the achievement.
- After probably 12 runs in and I have yet to see a new Blue nightmare exotic skin drop…this is Tequatl weapon skins all over again.
- The LFG finder is flawed in that most players don’t actually have the time to read a groups posting as parties fill to fast. This leads to tension when players looking for an experienced run are joined by new or even sub lvl 80 characters.
- The slime puzzle isn’t fun, it isn’t interesting, it is a nightmare to explain and execute with new players, it is biased to professions like Guardians and Mesmers, and I think there should really be another set of ‘Ooze Scent Dispenser’ near the end of the path.
- The trashmobs seem like they get progressively easier and more in number (which i kinda like)
- While it was fun to figure out how the Sparki and Slick fight worked, I feel something is a bit off…Sorry i can’t elaborate I just feel this fight doesn’t favor groups with dynamic stat selections. For example: 2 zerker 3 pvt. where as it seems 5 zerker or 5 pvt group comps are more favorable.
- I’ve wasted too much time trying to do the ’Who’s in charge here’ achievement. Not sure if its bugged…the Paraphrasing of the achievements proposed challenge is cryptic and doesn’t reflect what players have been doing to accomplish the task.
- However, Spur is definitely my favorite fight in the dungeon by a massive margin. Props to the person who designed it.
- Possibly the most annoying bug in the dungeon: during the final boss fight, if your character collides with any of the damaged generators—-for what ever reason you glitch out, and sporadically get re-positioned in random locations around the generator. This makes Line of sighting the Holopirates a really cumbersome task.
- About the Holopirates…why is there suddenly only 1 of them when the boss spawns? It creates artificial difficult that requires players to understand the quantum physics of line of sight pulling (21% of players will never understand line of sight pulling for what ever reason). OR like the slime fight it favors certain professions- I’m looking at you Mesmers. Maybe different types of Holopirates should spawn, like some that melee or dodge.
see my post directly above yours? the one posted 2 hours before you did? yea i posted a video specifically for this thread.
tried this literally 4 times already. Cannot reproduce this…
No one even got downed on our attempts.
Is there a specific pool of mobs you pick the remaining 1 from? (we tried different groups)
trash mobs, not to bad. The new Aetherblade are much less annoying to fight against.
first boss: interesting to figure out, requires every player to pay attention more or less.
second boss: probably my favorite, very classic style boss. Solo’d him from 50% hp
final boss: can be really annoying if people don’t listen, we just left one party member who couldnt listen dead and four manned it. The boss has one really stupid ability that almost makes it worth it to have one person sit out and run in to rez.
Turrets — for the love of god please give these some attention…refine them or streamline them for the good of the people.
Half of the difficulty of this event is problem solving all of the turret bugs.
they randomly stop working. Cleanse doesn’t always work. They drop target if you turn your camera even the slightest. They potentially enable griefers to ruin the event… Maybe have some additional wep-kits on the ground people can pick up and use in addition to the turrets.
I know its been said—but I said it again.
yeah just run around the arena in a loop. Reflecting his hands does damage to him, so if you can’t sneak any hits in, just keep reflecting his ability then kiting.
You can use it to kill turtles, and basically make some levels impossible to end.
rofl this is pretty funny… I wonder how much damage it will do to the W2-2 Palm Assassin mini-boss. On Tribulation Mode you can shoot em with a sling shot and pull him into the other room. Timing would obviously be something to consider…but I wonder if it 1-shots him
First of all, my logic need not apply to you. Second, I feel the weapons and their color scheme have a use in the end (even if the yellow is meh). Third, dolphins. Seriously though, there is no difference between the packs and a color change just won’t do. They’re EXACTLY the same for two different worlds. It should at least have a storm cloud or something on the side of it instead of a “bauble”. It’s called the “Storm Wizard” for a reason. That’s my beef, really. On top of all that you still can’t use it in Super Adventure Box.
That is a comment I can respect—Antelope.
different Icon’s would be rather interesting. Seeing as we used baubles to obtain the blue backcover, perhaps the icons on the Frog and Wizard backcovers should also reflect their origins. (Perhaps use the icons on the Z-3 tokens?)
Your still killing me when you say they are EXACTLY the same though. They are actually INFACT different shades of color.
There are two things you can do here:
1. for lily pads I enable auto run, mash jump and rely on camera turning to guide my passage. My deaths related to lily pads has decreased since using this method. (always aim for the middle of the lily).
2. Always aim for the edges of spiked platforms. You have to do a ‘tall’ jump over them, as spikes will still stick you if you attempt a ‘running start’. By starting your jumps on the edge of platforms, you get a fraction of a second to move forward—before you jump.
As for the King Toad: from the respawn its actually possible to make the jump from the mushrooms on the top to the rock in the pond below. It is the most reliable method. Proceed to jump from center of lily pads to stage.
It’s easy to do it off continue coins. You can farm world 1 daily for 7 bauble bubbles. Each bauble bubble gives you 5 continue coins. Each continue coin gives you 6 useable lives. I’m sure you can do the math.
The infinite continue coin is just for the convenience of not doing world 1 each day to get bauble bubbles for coins or to farm baubles.
And the convenience of getting more Blue Weapons by not having to spend Bubbles for lives.
yeah i’ve also seen this happen (but the reverse)
Me and a buddy were doing Tribulation Mode…and the Inflatable cloud-rainbow bridges were everywhere (we couldn’t jump on them though)
But they are not the same. One is green, the other is yellow.
They’re the same. Even the color doesn’t really show through, lol. I know there are a ton of people out there that agree, they just aren’t as vocal about it.
I don’t understand your logic…
The difference between a Storm Wizard weapon and a King Frog weapon is the color…and that is all. So why would the back-pack differ?
If your statement is to say the color Yellow is much like the color Green, then get mad at life. There is a distinct difference in hue at play here. Back pack, like the Yellow Warhorn is a warm yellow (Yellow slightly diluted with orange)—were as the other yellow weapons are slightly more yellowish green. That is something worth complaining about…
Only ledges I want fixed are the ones that require you to jump up at an angle to reach. I believe only like 2 of them exist in SAB. It’s the same kind of jump that’s required to get onto that platform at Fire Elemental.
They already fixed the Tree-top checkpoint in W2-2, pre-patch that jump took me so many tries to stick—but now its really easy.
yeah a really good trick to use in that room is:
there you go spoiling it.
yikes fix’d
I’m curious what other people tend to save Moto’s Finger for…
There are definitely moments in Tribulation mode were that one freaking enemy makes or breaks you smooth run.
I noticed you can use it against the large Mountain Yeti to do a ton of damage to him.
I would like two things:
The lil balloon thing you carry to the checkpoint cloud
and
the chainsticks as an axe skin
Whip:
1. snatch hard to reach baubles
2. destroy nearby barrels in Tribulation Mode (or sling shot/bombs)
3. Trivialize ninja raft in W2-1 by stun locking the first ninja that spawns
4. Lock down foes for your teammates to finish of
5. Enables you to free yourself of certain glitched spots (like the gong-logs, dig for rabbits, then whip them)
6. Trivializes foes with wind-up abilities: Frogs, Bears, Bananas—alternate whip-smack
tl;dr the whip has many uses, but its primary function is snatching bauble just out of reach (happens all the time in tribulation mode)
I call this…“LOOK AT MY kitten” topic.
You haven’t done anything noteworthy.
You haven’t done anything requiring skill. To quote you… “I even had fun doing it”. Congrats… I guess you like repetitive mindless things heavily on the side of luck.
Hi?
TM atm is probably the hardest content in GW2, it requires tons of skill and luck plays pretty much zero part on it.
Please explain.lol is that your definition of skill.. TM doesn’t take skill at all. Everyone can just die over and over again untill you figure out the right path to do. All you need is continue coins and space bar. Getting 8 orbs in Liadri was A LOT more challenging than TM so saying it’s the hardest content in the game is pushing it.
Bleh too be completely honest Liadri was the most non-accessible encounter in the game. I could not realistically attempt going for achievements due to the shear amount of lag in that zone. If I had a decent frame-rate I would have actually attempted that content.
Like any other objective in a game—you can learn the method to win. I think learning the method to beat Liadri (and executing it) would take a significantly less time than learning the method (and executing it) to finish Tribmode SAB.
just a wild guess…it might have something to do with your characters race. Sounds like an ‘auto-tune’ voice effect.
Every other weapon seems the same.
Infinite Continue Coin != pay to win
in Super Adventure Box: Back to School
Posted by: Naglifar.1684
its more like Pay to Play. The coin doesn’t mean your going to win. You can also play without the coin, but the degree of effort one must exert would be considered a ‘grind’ to many.
I decided on day 1 to jump directly into Tribulation Mode. I figured the coin purchase is a proper way to let Anet know ‘I really enjoy SAB—and I don’t mind paying a small fee to enjoy really awesome content’.
*You can buy the Coin with real money
*You can trade in-game gold for the gems to buy the coin
*You can collect many Continue Coins
Pay to Win would be a Coin that gave you higher jumps, or invulnerability to damage. In actuality, no mater which coin you have—you gotta land the same jumps as everyone else.
New Bug on Trib Mode world 2 zone 3?
in Super Adventure Box: Back to School
Posted by: Naglifar.1684
from the checkpoint you gotta descend down and to the right. There will be cloud guys like the one you pictured that you can jump on. It was re-routed with the last patch.
Group:
+ can reconnect to game
+ easier to slay things
+ In Trebmode makes many puzzles less RNG (FREAKING INVUL CLOUDS)
+ Someone might have an item you need finish (or vise versa)
+ hilarious watching people die
+ even more funny when you’re waving a balloon
- might take long if someone is struggling
+ however, its good to practice the path over and over wile others are trying to get to the next objective.
Solo:
+Less waiting around
- D/C and games over
- Certain enemies can be annoying to deal with solo
(edited by Naglifar.1684)
Its actually really simple see attached image.
explanation: jump from the triangle platform in the corner down to the ice patch. Then jump to the Checkpoint.

Have you tried using your shovel to try and big up bunnies that can kill you?
haha this is genius never thought to do this.
from the checkpoint walk straight and to the right. It is in-between two cliffs.
How does SAB scale with number of players?
in Super Adventure Box: Back to School
Posted by: Naglifar.1684
In Tribulation Mode, if you are in a party its required that every player reaches a check point with the balloon in order to activate it.
Same. I tried bombing different parts of the area—nothing. We might need to follow the bees and see where they go.
