Which Guild is most powerful in WvW?

in WvW

Omaris Mortuus Est.2738

You are all wrong!

The most powerful “guild” is the PUG!

The pug has endless numbers.
The pug can be found anywhere at anytime.
The pug can make or break an attack or defense.
The pug has no face, it can be anyone.
The pug has no care on whether it wins or loses.
The pug cannot be stopped.
The pug has no reasoning and is a force to reckon with!

Any other claim is just someone trying to showoff their guild.

Macros, you can use them as long as they arent macros.
Remember to buy the officially endorsed GW2 Steel Series Keyboard, it supports macros!
WvW, we only care if it affects the servers we play on.

Why did you stop WvWing?

Lop-sided fights.
Cheap ‘tactics’ like having a spy on enemy servers and sabotaging them by wasting supply or other such things.
Crap-tastic attitudes by both enemies and allies alike when things don’t go their way.
Hackers and cheaters ruining the whole experience…

On top of, like you said, doing the same thing over and over again.

Don’t get me wrong. For large scale battles, WvW is the best thing out there (my personal opinion, of course…) but, even the best of things can get old after a while.

Hopefully, the new maps with new mechanics and all that which are coming soon will help alleviate some of that and breath some fresh air into WvW.

This isn’t a bug, it’s the next living story update . Random guards are mutinying against the servers. Next update there will be NPC zergs going around the map taking towers and keeps and all the servers will be force to form a truce to stop them. The final boss will probably be a legendary defender.

I would prefer a cap on the number of currencies.

Take no heed of the grumps! It’s such a grand feeling to get that last thing needed for your gold star. I’ve only done it twice, and swore Never Again. If WvW does get removed I might unswear.

Congratulations, it’s not an easy achievement.

Account Recovery: Why?

This happened to me too. I logged in this afternoon (with all the Halloween content) just fine, but when I tried to log-in again tonight, my password didn’t work anymore. Rather than use the ‘recover account’ option, I just used the ‘forgot password’ option and could log-in again.

Same thing happened to me once before after a patch.

No Living Story = enjoying the game again

It could be just me but I am again enjoying the game as when I started GW2, rather than logging in everyday to get the Living story achievement and complete the grind; then log off and go vomit….Somehow the game is enjoyable again…

You were never forced to participate in the Living Story, you could have easily made the choice to ignore a patch, as I have a number of times. If anything you are just excited over the Feature Pack because they are making a lot of really good mechanic adjustments, which is something the Living Story was not very heavy with.

Probably the thing I dislike the most is the loot system…never really anything GOOD or useful, the most you can hope for are a few crafting materials that you need 1000 of to do anything useful, or something you can salvage to MAKE those crafting materials.

My biggest piece of advice?
Don’t take anything said here in the forums too seriously.
Haters are going to hate, and fanboys will… well ‘fan’ I guess. :p
Just play the game. Enjoy the scenery. Learn at your own pace. Get out there and explore Tyria.
And most important of all.
Have fun.

Please? The server that gains the most rating in a league should be rewarded, a much more attainable goal.

If you are the bottom rated server in a league, taking first is a huge uphill battle. Most improved gets around this problem entirely.

My top ten predictions:

1. “Thanks to the efforts of (insert NPC of your choice here), we have been able to secure a new trade agreement with the people of Cantha/Elona.”

2. “Logan and I are getting married, and you all are invited to the wedding feast. As the Watchknights have been proven to be somewhat unreliable, security will be provided by our new friends, the White Mantle.”

3. “We have learned the the Aetherblades actually come from a future Tyria which is ruled by—” And at this point she is assassinated.

4. “Your face is funny! Watch the ledges!!!” (Rambling and utterly drunk on skritt beer, her highness is led from the pavilion leaning on a very embarrased Rox.)

5. “CITIZENS! CITIZENS! CITIZENS!!!” (Those of you who remember the original Southsun Cove release will recognize this.)

6. “Zoija of Destiny’s Edge has unveiled what she considers to be the ultimate solution to the centaur problem. She calls it a glue factory…”

7. “All hail UberQuaggan!”

8. “I am pleased to announce that the charr have named Rytlock Brimstone as their new Khan-Ur. In celebration of this, cowtapults will be erected in all parts of Tyria.”

9. "His Undead Excellency Palawa Joko has graciously offered to “repopulate” the lost land of Orr with his own people…"

10. “And now let us welcome our guest speaker Trahearne, who will offer some words of encouragement in these dark times…wait, Logan, where are you running off to? LOGAN!!!

15 gold for guild kite?

in Bazaar of the Four Winds

Posted by: Fiontar.4695

Fiontar.4695

The people who can truly afford it will brush of the price as insignificant, while people who just play the game in a natural manner, with out seeking out opportunities to farm gold at the highest rate possible will find this fun piece of content far too expensive to justify.

I think that the problem with this game when ever situations like this pop up. The developers continue to provide specific rewards for those who get wealthy by subverting the core game design, looking for “near-exploits” that provide opportunities for higher than intended wealth generation, while the rest of the players start to feel more and more disillusioned.

It becomes a sad cycle. Developers reward those who find ways to generate higher than intended wealth, which ensures they will continue to do so, rather than getting bored with their subversion of the game. More money than intended flows into the economy due to the top wealth “generators/exploiters”, so the developers further tighten the earning rate of people who just play the game naturally. The snow ball of resentment and frustration grows and some people do leave the game over it.

I’ve logged around 1600 hours between accounts. I have never bought anything extravagant and I’m frugal with all my spending. You’d think after that much play time I’d maybe be able to look at 15 gold for a guild emblem on the kite as an affordable extravagance. Though I have the coin, it would cost me far too high a portion of the money I’ve accumulated playing in the PvE game world over the past ten months to ever be “worth it”.

This is where the game economy fails and why so many people see things like this as a slap in the face. The ability to accumulate wealth by “just playing the game”, with out a focus of just doing content that produces much higher than average return is extremely tightly controlled, but then pricing of many items is tuned for the top x% who have made finding ways to earn much higher than intended rates of return their focus. If someone who has logged the hours I have finds the pricing ridiculous, I can imagine it’s exponentially more so for casual gamers who play the game.

I guess it keeps those at the extreme end of the wealth bell curve more engaged, but at what cost when it comes to the rest of the game population?

Hadn’t thought about it this way, but I realize my rule of thumb is that if I cannot answer a random stranger’s question in one short line, I don’t respond. Chances are the person might not have the patience for a long explanation, or that I will screw up a long explanation by making assumptions about what they know, or that my growing up in an age before texting means that my typing-while-playing skills will make my response time for a long answer glacial.

Anyway, OP, I hope venting your frustration worked.

Well, everyone who bought at least one rich coffer before today’s update will receive a recipe in a couple of days time. Hopefully they are tradeable, and that there are LOTS of them.

I would be willing to bet they will still be really expensive to make.

My posts are facts as I know them, or my own opinion, and do not represent any guild.

For me, overall, it was a great patch. Of my 8 level 80s:

My necro got a huge buff and access to burning.

My elementalist got buffed. And there are some promising new traits.

My thief is better. I can actually use a signet as a stun break now!

My guardian is unchanged.

My engineer is unchanged. But there are some tempting new traits.

My mesmer is different; not being forced to spend 5 points opens up other build options.

My ranger’s shortbow range is reduced, but I tend to dart around anyway so I hardly notice it. That said, I do carry a longbow now if I need longer range.

My warrior got completely resetted.
