just crashed by turning around in LA..

Crashed 3 times today, twice in wvw once in Verdant Brink. Getting really annoying.

Same thing here; got all excited, and all it did was giving me a lousy stun.

Worst item ever.

I like fighting Viz, both my sides and bags are always splitting.

Also, they must be health freaks on Viz, all they do is run. Why does a 50+mob run from 15???

I’m stuck on 81/83, and claims I’m missing to take up a crafting profession, even though I maxed out quite a few.

Laurels also shows up as incomplete. I have several to prove it wrong. :p

As does the full mail one, which I see lots of others are having problems with as well. Now this one I wasn’t not sure about, so I did it just to be sure. I have a screenie showing 11/10 mails now.

I would be curious to see which servers most people that are complaining that wvwvw has lost it’s edge are from. I see quite a few from dominant tier 1 servers, maybe it’s a lack of competition?

Of course, if I just cared about the scores on the board, I would’ve bandwagoned onto a server with 24 hour coverage, not stayed behind.

I feel extremely proud to be part of the great community that has arisen from the ashes of Gunnars Hold!

The idea isn’t to bash you guys into the ground (in fact I feel for GH since losing a lot of guilds) but we are trying to build our server up with server wide WvW events..
Yes we out number you this week but we have the same problem with the likes of Gandara, Abaddon’s Mouth, Miller’s Sound etc etc that’s why we are trying to improve our game.

You have more numbers, and its great for you, I wish we where in your situation.

Good to see your pulling your numbers out, alongside a smug attitude, I hope both will serve you well against opponents that can field the same amount of players, but I guess we’ll see next week

World is utterly dead after they introduced Ascend gear and the fotm. Orr looks like the risen has taken it over completly, none to group with all evening, everything is contested and all you see in LA chat is LFG Fractals (insert number). When they introduce a dungeon finder, it will be as lifeless as wow was. All you’ll see in chat are the trolls with an endless dirge + “something that we can’t say” spam.

And same goes for crafting, as a guy mentioned abovr, you can still get some use out of it for some xp, hardly seems worth doing anymore, tbh.

Feels more of a lobby game right now.

If they decide to give people the chance to earn this gear, through whichever way a player chooses (money, pve, wvwvw, crafting) then it’s just a minor bump in the road for me, but if this is gonna be pve exclusive, I’m out for good. Or, choose to downgrade the gear when you enter wvwvw, then I’m fine staying in my excotics.

I spend my last year in wow, raiding 4 days a week, to stay competitive (yes, our choice for wanting to be server first with as much as possible), it was a drag towards the end, felt like a second job…

When I heard of GW2, a zero treadmill game with huuuge pvp battles, I thought it was the second coming, just what I’ve been looking for. But like religion, you end up dissapointed in the end.

No, you don’t need to direct me to whichever post made by whomever Anet represent saying that other ways to obtain the gear will be available. With the current turn of events, and backpeddling on their previous statements and my general experiences with big companies like this, I’ll believe it when I see it.

I more see it as me making the ultimate move, I removed them from the game altogether, slapped their ingame char so hard it reached the person behind the screen, it must sure hurt being defeated in more ways than one

Gunnars Hold is dead WvW wise. We had 10 people in the EB and they were mostly from my guild

what a load of rubbish. this week I’ve seen more action and people than the last 3-4 weeks. gunnars is alive and kicking! very good fights from Underworld and Drakkar! :-)

Let them leave. Plenty of non-MMOs make money with players who finish the game and stop playing till the next DLC/title in the series comes out. With no subscription fee, why can’t GW2 do the same ?

And the thing is they’re probably going to leave soon anyway when the next mmo arrives.

I was very happy when I heard about GW 2 being a game that strayed from the traditionel mmo concepts of a never ending gear grind, now it seems this is the direction in which we’re heading.
This is excactly what drove me from other mmo’s. I’ve done that and it made me loathe those games. Guess I can just give up and buy mop and go back to wow where my old guild and a much larger friendlist is and jump right back into it. Sigh, when will developers, develop some cojones and stick to their guns?

It’s a shame more of the deso and VS guilds aren’t playing. I know the score is lopsided but I enjoyed my battles against you last week. kitten the score, come out and fight for the fun of it.

Funny, that was the reason why so many moved to BT, to avoid the zerging down and wanted to be on the winning side, now you see the result; people avoiding T1, since getting roflstomped is only fun for a few weeks, then it gets old really quick. And now you’ll dominate with zero opposition, hope your server enjoys pve.

Lots of effort being put into this server as you can see.

Also, the guild i’m in is CIR. If you want, you can call it cir, but going “CiR” makes no sense. I’m not going to go and call KISS KiSs, or some similar weird stuff.
Just felt i had to point that out.

With this final gem, I think most readers, unfamilier with internal Gunnars affairs, can see how petty this whole thing is.

Oh, and mods, just close this kitten thing already. Been derailed to heck and it’s not gonna get any better.

We’re already struggling with numbers, prime time sunday, zero queues for any map, Kiss leaving won’t make this any easier.

This has been one of the most enjoyable matchups so far. Piken, best of luck to you in the higher brackets, though I hope we’ll get some more facesmashing time against you in the future, this has been alot of fun.

We have queues very rarely, I have to say, longest I’ve been in one was 20 mins tops.

Some very kind people on GH, have set up a mumble that people are welcome to use, makes for great tacticts and quite of bit of disturbing fun

I wonder if it has more to do with WoW etc being more structured, and GW2 having much more free form gameplay? I’m not a cognitive scientist, but I’ve definately noticed changes in the way I look at things in the last 10 years or so.

How many of us 30-ish-ers, used-to-play-WoW (or w/e)-but-hate-it-now-ers discovered wow in our early 20’s and loved it then? I wonder if there’s something there.

This fits me quite well, actually. Well, I don’t hate WoW but to get any real progress in that game, it required too much effort to be top dog, felt like work towards the end, I get plenty of that at, ahem work.

36 years old and loving GW 2 so far!

The server is coming back together again nicely. Big thanks to the people who have gotten the mumble, webby and general spirit up and running again.

It’s the same with Gunnar’s Hold, really. We started off really strong, but after a few defeats, we saw some of the larger guilds jumping ship to more winning servers and blaming their desicion on “quality of pugs” amongst other things, but all in all, they left because we don’t have a strong night team, and despite holding most of the maps during prime time, we would see it all lost during the night, and having to hammer our heads against whole maps with everything reinforced. It’s a little disheartening, sure, but I’d rather be there and being an underdog than run and join the winning side.

Luckily, there’ still some great guilds on Gunnars that have decided to stay and try and fight our way back, and we’ve gotten quite a good community, complete with mumble server, weekly strategy meetings, dedicated website and so on.

My wife just bought it today and is having this issue as well
