In this post at the bottom of the first post you will find the builds he uses. If you go through his video library he did some dps tests that i found interesting and informative.
I didn’t see it in the video or in this thread but which traits did you take for your warrior?
Thanks
My Charr conditionmancer Ludrig:
What gear set is this?
Necromancer starting mask (I think)
Exalted chest armor
Seer leggings armor (or level 80 Acolyte armor)
Forgot the name of the shoulders but they drop as an item without any stats and you can use it to change the look of your shoulders (a transmutable item without needing a stone)
Can’t tell what the gloves and shoes areCorrect me if I’m wrong
Got most of my info from gw2armorgallery.com
The shoulders are a Halloween special. You can find them on the trading post. I believe they are called deathly avian shoulder pads. As mentioned above they are just a skin.
Haha I was in a hurry and may have skipped the cutscene. Thanks for help!
I kinda feel stupid for asking this but after running around for like an hour how do you get to this quests start point? It seems like it might be at the top of a waterfall behind the temple near it, but i don’t have a clue how to get there. Any hints would be appreciated!
Thanks
Robolee and others what kind of weapons do you use with a shout support build? I’m guessing hammer and something/shield but whats the best weapon to go with shield?
thanks
To go along with this topic it would be nice if pets would dodge with you. Mostly this would allow them to escape instant death abilities. This would add a lot of survivability to pets, and it would make them more connected to the character.
Anyone have a picture of the one handed chainsword? I and probably others would really like to see it.
Thanks
I really hope that the majority don’t do this. I am lvling an alt right now and once i get to 35 i would like to use AC to level, I have a lvl 80 and i know all of the paths in ac and how to do everything. People need to know that lvl isn’t everything and they shouldn’t keep players that know the dungeon and newer players that want to try one from learning just because of lvl.
I run a healing shout build in dungeons that gets is damage from sword plus rifle bleeds. I use rampagers gear (power, precision, condition damage) with superior soldier runes(vitality, toughness and shouts cure conditions) and have done very well in dungeons. My traits are arms: 25, defence: 15, tactics: 30.
@ Haette no I thought that it showed each hit, thank you for correcting that.
Just wondering, what level are you? When I use it I deal hits starting at about 100-200 up to 600-700 on final with crit (at level 72). Also by the end I have about 20 stacks of bleed by the end.(not all from flurry granted), but flurry still increased the bleed stacks I think by around10. It’s no HB but I don’t know how your only hitting a little over 100.
arms is crit chance and condition damage. Discipline has to do with burst skills and crit damage i think.

The guild wars 1 system was great and would work great for dungeons in this game.
I ran all three paths successfully today. Though the kholer boss was bugged on one of my runs. What exactly did you find that was bugged?

Well I’ve been running rifle(which is single target damage) and mostly I wanted to know if the longbow had good aoe damage(for fights against the little spiders or any other group of trash). Also what trait line works best with it?
Nice find. Thanks for sharing!

I was thinking axe main hand for Dps with warhorn and healing shouts so I could be support basically was my thought. Also at least in AC explore (the only explore mode i’ve done thus far) I think it could be beneficial for condition removal and endurance regen plus weakening bosses.
Another question though. What about rifle vs. longbow in dungeons?

Thanks for the feed back kraken. On the topics of weapons I was thinking of running Axe/Warhorn and rifle set. Does axe/warhorn work in dungeons well?

Like I said in the title I’m going for a healing shout warrior. I’m going to be playing dungeons and endgame pve(like farming karma for temple armor and such).
I was interested in what weapons/other traits have you guys most effective to go along with healing shouts?
Thanks
Play explorer mode dungeons. (With Pugs in might add)
I have to say charr. I play a charr warrior and the heavy armor looks great on them. Just be sure to use cultural head armour because almost everything else looks bad. The charr fit perfectly from the fluff stand point because they are a race of warriors basically and all of them fight in some way. The norn come in a close second though, and they don’t have the armor problems that the charr do.
I’m in castle rock myself. How interesting, It’s a small world after all
I’ll consider it as I’m from Colorado myself
If you want a distance closer try bulls charge. It’s a distance closer with damage and a knock down.
I recently changed to dual axes and have enjoyed it, but I’m going to give off hand mace a try.
Since I have finally settled on a main character (Charr warrior). I would now like to find a guild. My main interests are pve and dungeons with some possible wvw.
I am currently level 58 and rising. I have played since beta and have played gw 1 for years. I am currently on the gate of madness server, but will switch if necessary.
If you have any questions or a guild that might work post here!
Thanks!
Glaive/polearm type weapon, just because love the look of them! It would be a melee aoe weapon.
I apologize for my fist post. It basically reads like a troll post, and I didn’t tell you why Blood, and Iron.
Guardians are front line/just behind the front line melee support, as they can buff allies close to them and have a good range of melee weapons. The blood legion are the Charr’s front line troops, so A blood legion guardian would make sense. The ion legion is basically a support legion thats not afraid to get into the thick of it. They produce weaponry and the charr’s engines of destruction, and use these to support an army. The can however also fight much like the blood legion and be mainline as well. The guardian again fits this role well. Now the ash legion is a scout/infiltration legion which doesn’t really fit as much with a heavy armor wearing melee support class.(note these are all generalizations so there will be exceptions to what I said)
@Magoslich: I never really though of them that way before. The wording for most of their abilities seem faith based, more like monk abilities than paragon abilities. That being said they do play rather paragon like.
Honestly Charr guardians bug me. The Charr do not worship gods and don’t want to, and the guardians abilities are all about faith….. Anyway I would say Blood or Iron would make the most sense.
