- Where was the supposed betrayal by the mursaat – the one that involved them committing genocide? According to the tablets, they set out for war but was ignored by the others, then left the world. There was no betrayal, according to the tablets every race hid in their own way. There’s no act that could possibly be seen as betrayal by the other races in the mursaat tablets.
I thought that act of leaving the plane by the Mursaat was the betrayal, and the results because of that leave was blamed on the Mursaat, not that they actively did anything (aside from maybe against the Seers which I though happened when they returned). Plus, they are Mursaat slabs, they wouldn’t paint themselves in a bad light, it’s the first rule of history. (Might add that we don’t know when the tablets were written, if they were written closer to GW1 time than when the dragons were last awake, the history could have been distorted by time or propaganda).
The others are concerns that are legitimate, but could be explained as propaganda or distortion of facts over time. I doubt that Lazarus isn’t fully good, he just isn’t as up front about his ill will as Joko had been.
I was wondering if we could get gliders of the different colored Tempered Spinal Blades, unlocked like the fractal back piece was (when created).
Hello! As someone who has played fractals for a very long time, I’m not a big fan of groups solely doing Swamp to get the daily runs, as it detracts from running others fractals, save for the Molten Boss fractal. While I don’t have a problem with people who only do the recommended fractals followed by swamp runs, it makes it harder for those of us that want to play more diverse fractals from getting groups. My recommendation would be that the daily fractals change to completing three different types of fractals within the particular level (1-20, 21-50 etc.). That way it would encourage people not to repeat fractals for dailies (as the dailies currently guard against) and to do different fractals. Sure, I understand people will still want to do the three easiest fractals, but it’s still more diverse than doing swamp repeatedly. Thanks for reading!
P.S. Some smaller changes I would champion for would be for a separate 50-75,76-100 daily, fractals counting towards daily completion (as wvw and pvp do), and a title for completing the Master fractals achievement (completing every fractal from 75-100).
I’ve been playing around with my Thief and it seems that the No Valid Path to Target error has been tweaked, allowing for less strict stealing and downed teleporting. Maybe it’s just me…
I’ve gotten a 5 or 6 ascended rings, two of which were infused, but no one has been reporting ascended weapons and armor. Do you have a screenshot? Because if that is the case I’d like to post it all over the whining forum posts and tell them to deal with it
I claimed and salvaged the weapon for the Ball of Dark Engery for my first tier collection, and the only reason I still have this one is because I haven’t decided if I want to use it for my other main or to salvage this one too.
My other main is an Ele and I use all 25 skills constantly (as cooldowns allow)…. Thief without a doubt takes more skill just to survive, let alone do anything else.
I’ve gotten an ascended ring (including infused) most days that I do all of the dailies (a majority of the days since the xpac dropped), although the last two days I have gotten an ascended weapon and armor box instead. The boxes don’t seem that much rarer than before, to me at least.
I have much better luck teleporting with my Guardian than my Thief (I always get the No Vaild Path to Target message with my Thief if I am not on the same completely smooth surface as my target, even if I am literally right next to him).
I went with a gunslinger look as I mainly play P/P. The mask is a new addition and I still don’t know how I feel about it.
As much as I want to play as a Tengu, I don’t think it will ever happen. In HoT, the only Tengu we see are hostile and all Tengu in general are distant, story-wise, with no real intention of narrative focus, save the single master crafter in the original PS (https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Izu_Steelshrike).
I partied with three other players last night to finish the HoT story. The boss fight went as was acting normal but we ended up wiping. In our second try the boss lost massive amounts of health in a very short time and we were able to defeat it before we converted our first Blightened companion. I don’t know what went wrong for this massive increase in health loss, but I thought it would be useful to post this experience here.
I wanted to mention that I have this bug as well. It shows that I have 2 unlocked when I have many more than that. Thank you for the collection, by the way!

I guess it turns out that our only new mechanic is the extra dodge…
I would rather them take all of the story instances, excluding Arah but including shorter/reworked Arah paths, and making them into fractals (maybe start adding the others paths down the line). I do like the idea of a singular currency. Or just keeping dungeons the same with increased tokens…
Because?
Because they seem to have the most lore/story connected to them that more directly effect the player. While a lot of the paths have good content, most tend to give a fuller story, meaning that they are still important enough to be in the game. So paths, like with AC just seem kinda lacking in terms of lore and consequence. This is all IF something like condensing dungeons into fractals were on the table. I would rather them stay as they currently are and be improved in the format that they exist in. A single currency would help player like me that would rather not grind a single dungeon for all of the skins but would rather be able to do any of the dungeons in order to work towards a single goal. However, I would keep (unified) dungeon and fractal tokens separate as long as they remain separate.

The boot reminded me of the Flash… maybe a DC fan got mad that a Marvel name was used :p Daredevil’s mask would have made a pretty cool icon (something kinda like this http://www.fardanmunshi.com/wp-content/uploads/MarvelMinimalism_DareDevilMask.png).
The pistol range decrease was a debuff…
Vital Shot: Increased damage by 24%.
Unload: Increased damage per shot by 26%.
Sneak Attack: Increased attack damage per shot by 25%.
But
Ankle Shots: Removed the hidden range increase that this trait unlocked. :/
I will say though that pistols are something we’ll be looking to improve, being as they feel under-tuned at the moment.

Thank you for letting us know that you are working on making pistols viable! I’m glad to know that it hasn’t been forgotten/overlooked!
As a P/P thief, I enjoyed the overall play of the spec, but it still feels that it needs work. I play P/P Staff and felt that the two weapon sets worked well together, actually making me want to switch between the weapon sets. I do agree that the dodges and some of the staff skills feel clunky and unrefined, but I’m (mostly) confidant that that will be fixed before release. I wasn’t a big fan of the physical skills, although I did keep blocking stun breaker skill. The Elite skill seemed really lackluster, and didn’t seem very useful in PVE. However the biggest problem that I had with the spec was that dodging and Staff skill 3 didn’t seem to be dodging as I would have naturally expected based on playing over the past three years, which can be both painful and fatal. Thanks for the continual effort and I hope you take our feedback to heart {with a grain of salt}!
TLDR, the spec allows me to come back to the Thief, almost making up for the removal of Ricochet… almost! A little attention to mobility detail and the DD might be as good as it can be.
I’m not a huge fan of the male Norn shapes in GW2 but I love the female shapes. The male shapes feel more cartoonish than muscular, but to each their own.
Don’t forget anime freaks that scream “kawaii no waifu” as we charge into battle.
I’m not an anime watcher, but just so you both know, it would be “kawaii waifu”. (I’ve wasted too many years being taught Japanese…)

The point was that Staff with Ventari maximizes the healing/support role that has been given to the Rev and that the current loot system doesn’t support that role.
While the staff and Ventari legend are encouraged to be used together, it brings about a massive concern due to its primary role of support with little Damage. If someone is using this combo, is there a system in place that will allow them to receive drops or will they still have to solely rely on tagging enemies? This combo only has four skills (skills 1, 2, 5, 10) that do any damage, two of which require close combat. In GW1 they had a system in place for the Monk but it seemed to work out of parties, rather than solo play. If the issue loot drops and event participation isn’t addressed (even if it’s just someone saying that there is a system in place and/or they are working on something), it may discourage this support play-style from being utilized. Thank you for your time!
I tried to continue to use my p/p s/p thief but it simply doesn’t work anymore. It’s heartbreaking, I though thief was going to be my new main until after this patch.
If they built upon the lore they created, Belinda being infused with her GS, I could see bundle spirit weapons being a thing, similar to the spirit bundles of Ritualists from GW1.
Lore-wise, when would be the best time to integrate the Tengu into the story (I don’t mean as a playable race… at first)? While I doubt that we’ll see them more actively in HoT, story wise it seems like it would have fit. More than likely the Dominion of Winds is within Mordremoth’s reach and they live right next to the Sylvari. The Sylvari are going to be cast out of modern society and hunted, much like the Tengu were from Cantha. Also, the pact is devastated and with Mordremoth and the turn Sylvari at their door step, shouldn’t the Tengu be reacting (especially with the possibility of Mordremoth infiltrating from beneath)? The only other circumstance that would really fit would be with an expansion against Primordus, which is a conformed active threat within the walls. But this all begs the question, do we want the Tengu more active within the story (I do) or to be perpetually on the sidelines?
Thank you for fixing the mote!
Hello,
Frequently when downed on my elementalist I click on my skill two to move out of aoe so that I can resurrect myself, only to see my skill 2 become used without allowing me to move. I hadn’t seen mention of this in either this forum or the elementalist forum.
Thanks!
Mordrem wolves are creations. Risen are already dead, so…
And sylvari were once friends… I think I’ll lock them up in a farmhouse and wait till we find a cure… I mean a ritual…
I see what you did there…
It wasn’t too difficult and only died a few times. I was playing with my thief which tends to be pretty squishy. All my extra dodges were nice though!
I recently decided to do some mass character creations to unlock all the starter skins and found that all but one skin unlocked. The Warrior’s galea skin would not unlock when created, unequipped and reequipped, or by destroying the helm.
Just as an aside, I believe that I saw the priest in the story wield what looked like the Scepter of Orr but was unable to get a screen shot.
