Verdict:
coordination is hard at first but you may share your preferred voip to your linked server, invite them to TS3 for coordination as you did before on your own server
put a tag to them like linked/paired/merged on your ts so you know they are allied servers or use the good old map/team chat

be friendly to your linked server so that 3 month of side by side fights can be fun
remember they are your allies not enemies on the match up

there will be trolls/spies who will destroy your temporary/permanent ally in order to take advantage of it, this is war “divide and conquer” as they say

Getting enough people to form a zerg
I used to enjoy roaming around in WvW during downtime, doing some gathering and grabbing small objectives. I could also fight 1v1 and feel I had a reasonable chance. It killed a bit of time while waiting for the zerg to start. And, because lots of people did it, it meant that when a commander tagged up, there were lots of people dotted around who would join him.

But in the HOT power creep, if you’re specced for it, its very easy to stunlock and nuke someone to death in about 2 seconds. So its super boring to leave your keep, because if you encounter someone there’s no feeling that you have any chance of winning in 1v1, because you either have an overpowered gank spec or you don’t. Also there’s less need to leave your keep, because the gatherables are inside.

So now you just go from keep to tower grabbing all the gatherables, trying hard to avoid the enemy like a coward, then you get bored and leave. Then a commander tags up and can’t find a group, because there’s noone around.

So the commander tags down. Then a new person joins the map, doesn’t see a commander to join, doesn’t have any reason to roam because there’s no gatherables, doesn’t want to roam because of power creep, so there’s nothing to do so he leaves. And that is why its hard to get anything started in WvW now – at least for me and my friends. There’s no reason or desire to stick around anymore.

thats a direct explanation to one of the major WvW problems

when i started playing GW2 that was the time it announced free to play then tried it
i leveled a toon from 1 to 30 by pve then 30 to 60 by pvp
then i was exited to try the wvw, dunno what to do at first there are 5 choices
3 BL, 1 EB and 1 EoTM,
ive tried the borderlands 1st and saw a colored moving object (tag) on the map and started to get close to it as i can (thats my 1st time seeing a commander tag)
but when i was about halfway across to it, there are 3 red colored names i saw from a distance getting closer and closer to me, 1 used a skill on me slowing my movespeed, what did i do?
i fought that kitten with what ived learned from 30 levels of experience from pvp
the other 2 catched up and finished me off, only made a scratch to the first person who came in contact.
said to myself that time that if i ever encounter that situation (ganking) again ill make sure i kill atleast 1 or 2 before i die
the first lesson WvW told me is all about ganking and being ganked (i prefer zerging and rarely ganks)

before you become a normal WvW player you should atleast have experience on PvP

or else

git gud or git rekt

thats my advice to you TS, dont just jump from PvE directly to WvW
dont be ashamed on dying from gankers, be ashamed if you die without even fighting them

now whenever i see enemies camping on our EB spawn, i smile, alt-tab to play a nice music at background then alt-tab back to game and says……
“Ok lets party”

Towers=5 point
Camps=1 point
PPK=1 point

Dont want to get spawn camped, call for help.

linking is as close as Anet’s propaganda of turning WvW into a 3 colored theme fights or EoTM as we know it, to make the long story short you want linking to be further decreased into only one tier

EoTM is only one tier, newbies learn WvW there
then lemme call vets WvW, as EoTM 2 instead so Anet wouldn’t have a hard time thinking a name for it

the truth is why i hated linking was, the trolls of their represented servers, dont get me wrong i was a also troll and probably one of the best, so many cried at my posts on the old http://www.gw2wvw.net/
but linking made WvW a bit more active, but the other side of me thinks its just placebo………. few servers died on linking………….. i don’t want mine to be the same….

i tried leveling up my characters too on WvW not EoTM, the commander told me to switch to my lvl 80 because im a full signet upleveled rallybot?

try leveling up in pvp till 80, maybe it can help you solve the one shot problems in WvW

i say no,
we need every voice on every opinion whether one has been playing long or newcomers
we will not improve WvW if new and better ideas can be shared by these newcomers if we suppress them

it will only discourage them to play WvW knowing that they are not a part of it…

the server is the alliance of guilds

instead of creating sister guilds,
ex: BeastMode guild [BM]
BeastMode 2 [BMII]
BeastMode 4 [BMIV]

so the identity is the alliances and factions or the so called servers

i love EoTM, if they change the 4 maps on BL and EB to EoTM maps that would be awesome, more karma, more capping more killing, not like the current PPT so much boring…..

think of the 3 months as a learning experience not just for you but for your entire server, you may or may not have that chance to do so
maybe one day, for your experiencing that moment, you can lead your server to greatness in battle, even recognize your server as the friendliest and most hospitable in terms of linking
you see linking/merging is not that bad, it adds opportunities… many opportunities

i think OP is referring to Reformat the WvW
Rebooting is like shutting down WvW for maintenance work then starts again after a few hours

Reboot= restart the computer (turning it off and turning it back on)

Format= completely erasing everything on your computer (harddrive) including pictures movies

Reformat= means same as format but implies that after the format that information is going to be put back on that drive and is generally used by IT techs to mean re-installing windows or whatever your OS of choice is

the question is, at what Operating System would be installed after the reformat

the problem on the WvW is that the servers are dying exept the top tier because of population issues, now as ive proposed before to make a change that even a tier 8 server can maybe, just maybe, have a chance to beat a tier 1 server and win it on a matchup by some new mechanics
in sports there is a champion, and a so called underdog. and sometimes the underdawg wins…..

on gw2 there is a rally mechanic when you are downed for that little bit of hope left that you may get up if you continue fighting…, in WvW when your tier is down below you dont have a rally or your stuck downed and the life points continue degrading till your server is dead.

that outnumbered buff is an assurance of a “ok im outta here” saying.
if your gonna turn on the PPK, make sure those outnumbered buff is a buff to be reckoned with not to be discouraged by, pop that x10 or so on PPK when you have that buff, “A cornered animal is most dangerous.”

So when the fart is ArenaNet going to optimize WvW? That has been the main thing I wanted to play ever since the dang game came out. I still haven’t experienced it yet, LOL

anet has to rewrite the engine to support multi thread as currently, the game is just using mainly single game loop

changing the renderer will not magically make the game multi threaded
while dx11 and 12 have better supports for multi threading, it doesnt means that dev has to use them.

dx9 too can be multi threaded by having multi cores processing the objects then send it to one thread to be rendered.

the main difference between dx9 and dx11 when come to multithreading is that dx11 supports multithread rendering.

if they rewrite the engine it would mean like you have to buy another game to them
