Any idea on what effect the hammer legendary would have on the grenades? If at all.

But wait how long. I’ve waited 2 days for it and so far i’ve only been able to send 2 gold.

A few days ago i convinced my brother to play guild wars 2. When i explained how the games works a bit he asked if i could send him a little gold for traits and other expenses like buying a bit of gear seeing as the price has gone up a ton.

So i want to send him some gold. As i send the mail i quickly press in the bar where you type the amount of gold you want to send. I want to send him 5 gold. But i pressed in front of the 0 which is always there. So i send him 50 gold without realizing it, and now i cant send it back because of the Account transfer limit.
So far he has played over 17 and a half hours and i’ve only been able to send back 2 gold.

How long will this nonsense stay? I get its against gold sellers, but come on.

Recently rolled a power build for wvw roaming with my friends (which is sort of working out)
but i haven’t got any sigils for my rifle yet. I wanted to get the Sigil of Energy, and also Sigil of Battle.
I read somewhere that it having 2 weapon swap sigils wont work. although that was posted a year ago about a main and off hand weapon.

I was wonder if this has been fixed or changed to actually work now?

I tried looking this up on several other sites but no real answer and the search option on this forum doesn’t do anything for me.

I remember ages ago when i first made my engineer, a friend of mine went into pvp with his d/d ele and said he could kill the dummy faster then me. I killed it faster then the d/d thief and the d/d ele. Its relative small numbers, but a lot of those small numbers at once.

If you want k/d. You should honestly go play a first person shooter. and this will become completely pointless. Go zerging, and if you have a good zerg and you dont die you’re “k/d” will skyrocket.

And for the rest of the suggestion. There isn’t really much point. Find a guild that does wvw if you really want a party. Atleast they will be moderately trustworthy other then some random person with the highest “k/d” you want to join a party with.

Honestly. I dont know what you were thinking with a suggestion like this.

Post your system specs including the power supply brand and watt rating. This problem is usually connected to under rated or bad PSU.

Ive already come to the conclusion that it is absolutely 100% sure that its not my PSU.

Since September or so i have been having a issue that tons of other people have been having. Computer turning off while playing the game for no reason what so ever.
Mainly when in the Fractal lobby looking into the middle part where you walk into to start. Fire attacks that Eles create or asura portals.

I have tried checking the temperature on everything and i have switched PSU to higher voltage and still the same issue, just as frequent and by the same things.
Eventually i found out, the issue is caused purely by the shader option. I am forced to run it on low now. Putting it up will make all the issues come back, while if i have it on low, i dont crash at all anymore.

Everything else i have as high as possible. If i put everything low and shaders high. Crash.
Now im wondering if there after all this time if there is any fix at all for this. It just completely randomly started happening to me too.

Turn off shaders as low as possible. This worked for me, although i dont have the issue in any other game.

From all the cases like this ive seen (including myself) everybody seems to be using win7 64bit.
I personally have switched motherboard, PSU, GPU, CPU and everything, but ive always kept using win7 64bit.

I completely gave up on this whole issue and uninstalled the game quite a while ago now. I find it ridiculous that i would have to get new software or hardware just to play this single game while no other game has any issues.

Still the same issue after buying a new PSU of 750w. Previous was 650w. Also find that only specific thing make me crash like fire created in cof dungeon, elementalists, the middle teleport thing you have to stand in at fractals. pretty much every fractal dungeon etc etc

This CANNOT be a issue with my computer with all the tests i have gone through.

Alot of people are having this issue. I personally believe its a problem with the game itself.

Well if that the case then 400,000+ people that play this game in any given hour don’t have this problem. I don’t have this problem all the friend I play with don’t have this problem. The problem lies in the varied different PC configuration out there Anet can’t test for all of them. Looking threw the tech support forums the number of people that have a problem with this game is very low. I no this doesn’t help with your issue but for all intense a and purpose this game is fairly stable. Just keep researching and trying everything that people have done with success and if you do find an answer please post it it may help others and keep in mind that the problem could be a defective component in you PC.

I have a similar issue. I’m a bit skeptical on this being the solution for me as everything else works fine, but my processor is a 125w processor, and my motherboard supports up to 95w only. As I said everything else works fine, even Guild Wars 2 when it first came out, but it does no longer. I’ve ordered a new motherboard in the hopes of fixing it. The error in the event viewer is a Northbridge Error and that is the Motherboard

Is anything specific happening when you crash? Like is there a certain class present at the time of your crash doing something.

And if that works, its absurd you have to switch computer parts just to play a single game.

It wont be GW2 directly causing the issue, if it were then alot mroe people woud have the same issue.
As others have said, it is goign to down to a software or hardware issue on ur PC.
personaly if i end up spending to much time trying to solve a issue such as urs on my own PC. I just reformat my hard drive and start fresh. That allmost always works my end. If the problem persists then it suchs a hardware issue, at which point i start swaping things out.

Reading is apprently very hard to do. Tons of people have this issue.
And i already did a format and reinstall of everything last week. Im sick of running millions of system check programs. I shouldn’t have to swap out components of my pc just to play a single game that is causing people issues. Some acknowledgement that they screwed something up in the game that makes it un-compatible with something in your computer would at least be a lot better instead completely ignoring people that have these issues with just this game.

A game on its own should not be causing any kind of system-wide reboot. The game however could expose weakness in a driver (likely graphics) that could cause the reboot though.

I can’t say I’ve heard of anyone else claiming spontaneous reboots though without reason. I would have to say such an issue is very isolated, and system-specific, possibly due to either faulty hardware or driver(s).

So out of the dozens and dozens of games i play and not crashing like this in any of those games, and the only time i crash is when i do guild wars 2 and when i do certain abilities (and i cant stress enough that it will ONLY happen when i do certain skills). It HAS to be my computer and there is no possible way that its just guild wars?

Obviously you have not read the forum very much as a LOT of other people have this issue and a lot more threads about it , some have had it for months, others since the latest update. But its always the same type of crash.

Since the begin September Tequatl update my computer has started crashing and rebooting all the time and i never knew why and for others it has been earlier or even had it for ages. Standing akitten Lions arch wouldn’t make me crash and it would only happen in guild wars alone.

Everybody always came with the same kittenty reason “its probably over heating or your power supply” and im sure everybody is getting really tired of it.

But after weeks of trying to find a fix for this and running pc tests i had to give up because i couldn’t find anything at all and nobody could give any usefull info other then “overheat or PSU” (AKA uneducated answers and troubleshooting trail and error questions)
Since i have nothing else to play at all i just bite through it and hope someday there will be a fix to this. And playing all my different characters i noticed different crash patterns. And i noticed that my guardian and my elementalist have become unplayable. When ever my guardian uses Judge’s Intervention i will crash 70% of the time using it. and if i go on my Double dagger ele i will crash when ever i use ride the lighting, no matter where or when. I WILL crash. Now obviously this cannot possibly be any overheating or power supply issue and this has to be a conflict with the game with hardware or just the game itself (bad optimization)

This is not a fix at all for the hundreds of people that also have this issue. But for people who do have this issue. Try to find what causes you to crash and send as much information to support or any other means necessary so they might actually acknowledge or fix this error.

If your PC freezes and just shouts down for no apparent reason then it’s NOT the game client it’s most likely over heating, bad power supply, or popped capacitors on your motherboard.

Everybody is far to quick to jump on the overheating of bad PSU bandwagon.

Yeah, a hardware issue is what I’m afraid of, although my temperatures wouldn’t point to that being the case. I’m downloading Windows now to reinstall, while it has never failed to fix my issues, we’ll see where it goes.

I’m trying to download the client through GW2Seup.exe.

Could still be caused by no drivers for your graphics card. Or you could try installing it on a different harddrive.

There are a LOT of people with this issue, but most have given up on trying to fix it. Most people will probably say “overheating” or “PSU faulty” but its just the game. Anet seems to ignore that this issue exists as there are people who have had this for months. There is no known fix for it yet. And support wont be much help either.
So for now, your in the same boat as me. Cant play at all.

Guild wars crashes, or your computer crashes?

Just gonna revive this because you know, annoy anet a bit more with this issue.

Same stuff, randomly crashes computer, no crash report. Usually i only crash if somebody is doing a skill. Standing afk doing nothing and not being attack will make me crash. A guardian with a hammer will make it more likely to crash, usually when they use the skill #2. This is not your machine and this is purely caused by guild wars yet support keeps denying it.

You can open a support ticket and keep sending them report of your pc and they will keep saying they see nothing wrong, but at the same time deny its their game.

So basically, its not your pc, but its not guild wars. Pure logic right there.

I doubt that the power went out since it only happens with this game.

Sounds like thermal over heat protection. When temps in side the system reach a critical level it will automatically shut down to prevent damage to components.

GW2 is known to be extremely CPU intensive and if the CPU is overheating the system will shut down with the very same message in event viewer as you posted.

It could also be the PSU that is going in to thermal protection mode. As the CPU is taxed it draws more load from the PSU. If the PSU is over-taxed and reaches a critical temp it will simply shutdown the system. Again this shows in event viewer with the same message as you posted.

PS; There are no apps to test your PSU temperature, you would have to physically check it yourself.

The game is very CPU intensive. If you are overclocking, it maybe drawing more power that it can get from the Power Supply Unit(PSU). The PSU may also be faulty.

If you are overclocking, I would turn that off. If you have access to a larger PSU, I would give that a shot as well.

Im not overclocking at all, and ive been playing this game for a year and not once have i had any issues, and all of a sudden after a single patch it starts doing this. I doubt its my psu suddenly going bad since any other game ive done its completely fine.

Since either the 17th patch or the last hotfix today, my pc has just started to randomly turn itself off, and 5 seconds later turn back on again.

It started happening all the time this morning after i did the latest hotfix and it turned itself off after a few minutes. Restarted all of it, and it happened again, only faster, after that again and then i thought my pc was over heating. No issues, 33°C running nothing, 62°C while running guild wars, so that should be a fine temperature for any pc that is doing any gaming. So its obviously not overheating, all the hardware inside even feels cool to the touch. (checked it through Catalyst Control Center)

After that i turned it off for a while just in case. About 2 hours later, i turned it on again and played some different games, each for 1 hour, All of them high spec required games. And not a single time in the past 8 hours has it turned itself off. So im pretty relieved and sure its not my hardware.

Is there anybody at all that has this issues, knows about this, knows a fix to this or if Anet knows about this.

The repair command i just did has just finished an i am hoping that will help but i honestly dont think it will.
Edit: It didn’t do anything. high activity (I.E World bosses, big events, wvw groups = crash)

I feel that if you keep timers, you get the world of warcraft effect in stuff like this. althought in that its “kill it in a set amount of time before it can start killing you in 1 hit” and here its kill it in a set amount of time. I LOVED doing jormag after i came home from the bar at around 4 in the morning and do it with like 5 or 6 people. But i cant possibly do that anymore now because of the timer.

You didn’t buy a single player game, yet you play it like it it seems. Ask in map chat, guild chat, any kind of chat for help, and it will come. Obviously you aren’t trying.

You could have spent that “Savings” on buying the actual precursor. And if that really was everything you had since launch, Then you must have really not made a lot of gold.

Running around with a zerg group when we are fighting a group in a lord room, when some say they just got instantly downed and then instantly killed in down state. I didnt think much of it untill at some point i was fighting a necro 1 v 1 while roaming on my ele.

My ele has a total of 17,120 hp. He eventually got Tainted shackles on me. 1 stack, no problem, notice the damage as i moved around as i started paying attention to the damage i was starting to get, to see how much i damage it does. then i got the second stack. Bam. 17,120 damage hit. And then again when i was in downed state.

Friend of mine tried it. Kill a whole group of people using pandemic or something like that (not familliar with necro class)

I have no problem with you guys, i’ve (after several hours) seen a few guys from vabbi get to some camps with 2 or 3 people and try and take it, hell, i’ve even let them take it for the sake of you being able to do something, but soon enough some person says they are there and a entire zerg has to come rushing because they finally have something to do.

The match up is ridiculous and does not make any sense. They can do what ever they want, but they CANNOT fix balance. Every single game, every one of them, has imbalances and they cannot be fixed. Ever.

I said this in the other thread but if you want something too do why are you upgradeing towers and keeps we wont ever cap anything if everything is tier 3 and we are 5 vs 50, I know you can’t stop people doing it but in this tier I really think upgrades are unfair

I have personally not upgraded anything and discouraged several people to upgrade anything or to even build siege to retake towers were they to be taken. Currently, we are having a fight with some Fissure of Woe at the spiritholme supply camp on their borderlands.

I am also running around completely alone looking for something to fight. But so far i have only gotten people who are also alone run straight away as fast as possible. or people running and then finding a teammate(s) and then making impossible odds against you instead of just stopping, turning around and accepting a challange.

At this point, i do not see getting the monthly wvw mist invaders killed unachievable.

Unless you are in a higher tier server. You wont have to queue for a jumping puzzle. And Yes, there was too much trolling in it.

And why would you place a trap, then leave.

If a borderlands is completely filled, and every player places down a trap at once. You can fill the almost every single part where people actually go to. Make people able to place more then one, and you have a even bigger problem.
You might think this wont happen as nobody would think about it. But Anet knows some people will think of it atleast on a few server and im assuming they did this for that reason.

Supply removal sounds extremely usefull for when i see a enemy group that is attacking one of my tower, run away to a supply camp to get supplies and build siege. Just quickly place down a trap before they come back, and there, they have less supply and we have more time to rally people to counter them.

Ever just taken over a keep where there was still a perma stealth thief and a dead mesmer inside? Yeah, you have to stick around for almost an hour before they finally get bored and just waypoint, 30 seconds is extremely long for a thief. This will probably just make it a lot harder for thief or not possible at all, which i dont even mind, there are enough places for mesmer too hide and a lot of people dont do mesmer sweeps.

In the end i think you didn’t think any of these things through and only thought of the possible negative impacts. Or you simple just don’t want to adapt.

I love my mesmer with the clones and illusions and everything. But i also love just surviving and keeping up dungeon and zerg alive with buff and being able to stay alive a long time myself. Just generally makes you feel really usefull and unmissable. Make the game that much more enjoyable.

Just lost our fully upgraded Stonemist because the enemy team just melted our outer gate, and halfway our inner gate within 30 seconds. We could have easily stopped it. IF we didnt get notified by it by the moment they were at 10% left on the last gate. This idea was rather stupid and just makes it into “who builds the most and fastest siege” I understand this is a way to prevent some servers from getting from being annihilated to having a chance, but for actual balanced fights like my server is having, its hells. Towers and keep flipping left and right without anybody actually knowing.

Being really set off of WvW recently.

Somebody has to explain to me what this “end game content” actually is. The only thing i can think of is raids.

Used to play Wow (for about a year) And once i got level 80. There was only raids to do really. For the rest it was just doing boring dailies for essentially nothing at all. And it was always extremely hard to get into raid groups so i never even did that. Im playing so much more content then ive done when i did Wow or any other MMO.

I’d go somewhere in the middle tiers as the top tiers just have non stop queues.

Im assuming they are rare or exotic items. I think you see them because they got it from a World Boss Event. Most people feel the need to link their rare they got. But this depends on where you are when you see it though.
