Why exactly are the recipes for them extremely rare? I looked through all the other HoT recipes such as Viper, Minstrel, Wanderer, etc. Wondering if this is as intended or not. It looks as though the drop rate for them is really low. Recipes to craft the armor and weapons that is.

Questioning if the drop rate for them is correct or not, to be clear.

It would help if you could prove it’s CD by screenshoting the player or getting the name by right-click blocking them. You have provided no proof that it is a CD player and this is the first I have heard or seen anything like this, it could be DR. Bay is on DR side of your map this week, although since it does seem to be hacks it most likely doesnt matter. This didnt happen in any CD matchups during seasons so I doubt it is us. And as for Wraith’s accusations, provide SS’s or names, not that it really matters, anet doesnt ban WvW exploiters, they only delete topics about them. Also if it happens again add me to friends and ill go to the jumping puzzle and try to get the guys name from my mini-map if he is infact from CD, that’s the most we can do.

Based on the fact that DR has been on the complete defensive this week (because you guys have been kicking our butts), it’s doubtful it is DR. Now obviously I’m not monitoring that map all the time so I could be wrong but I doubt very much that it is a DR player. The real question though is “Are they in the map or not?” because if they aren’t then it doesn’t matter who it is, they get reported. If they are in the map then it doesn’t matter who it is either and… well… lay on. I’ll keep my eyes out for anyone talking in team chat mentioning anything about it though, I don’t like being associated with cheaters.

Tbh, we’re not even doing anything to push PPT since its post seasons. Don’t see why all of a sudden our server would start using hacks when we haven’t the entire season. We already know we out populate both servers. There’s no incentive for us to cheat to add more salt to the wound.

Was boring. Only servers that were fun open field fighters were DR, IoJ and DB. Speaking from an NA prime perspective. Otherwise it was just all off hour PPT pushes followed up by chest thumping.

I have no idea who are you to talk for CD and you’re talking as you know how we are and what our plays are like , you can talk from your server prespective which i don’t really care for because they are totally different from each other..where our wvw guilds are oriented on being openfield/gvg guilds and yet have balance between that and PPT but it gets boring when you face server that actually don’t fight.

P.S pvf forums pls respond to my gvg request, i saw someone’s post say TC/PAL/TUNE gvg ?..been over 6 weeks and didnt get 1 gvg out of YB lol

Not our fault you guys still don’t get the concept of WvW, but seeing as how you got totally dominated by DB and YB, you guys don’t stand a chance in T2.
That one week not only did you got rekt, we got to see the true side of CD, full of fairweathers and just a vocal minority that uses the forums wanting to hit T2, that would have killed the server in the long run, all it took was a week of DB and YB to see them running back to PvE.

I don’t care what server moves up but this game needs fight guilds to organize so the only skill oriented playstyle wvw has to offer doesn’t die out and T2 is the perfect place for it. It’s an established gvg/fight oriented tier with blobs and raiding/gvg guilds. With no gvg mode and no wvw support whats so ever this game is slowly devolving into PPT heros chest thumping on their ACs.

The other T2 servers don’t have much to give in terms of guilds. We’re pretty well balanced in NA and both servers have a PvX population in their off hours. Maguuma dug it’s own hole and they have to find a new identity before they can try again. Their skill level is quite high and I recommend their server to others, but they are honestly destined for T4 in the short-run.

YB would be welcome, but their public voices have made it emphatically clear they do not feel up to the challenge of a prolonged stay in T2.

CD has some off hours and some GvG guilds? I know you don’t have the population in NA to make a real go of it; but server spirit is a factor in determining transfers and since T1 is now perma-FULL, the #6 spot will be more attractive than ever.
Being able to GvG without people yelling at you to join a blob and PPT as happens in T1, is attractive to many and the third server will have a lot of opportunities for that and open field fights.

T2 Pros: guilds typically like to run on their own, even during seasons we don’t get blobs. Open-field siege is taboo. GvGs are celebrated and cheered.

T2 Cons: Most of the PPT is done in off-hours. However, if you are so obsessed with the score that stuff happening while you are sleeping or at work annoys you, then you probably aren’t a fit.

Its actually quite the opposite. NA prime we have enough numbers to hold our own. If anything I’d say we’re over stacked for NA prime. We queue 2 maps averagely if guilds decide to hit the same map together. Our off hours have died off and moved onto playing Archeage. A big portion of what is leftover is fairweather’ish. GvG wise we have a couple guilds who try to get them anytime they can and some who won’t mind getting into them. To round off we probably have about 5-6 guilds who wouldn’t mind GvGing during NA prime.

YB might fit the T2 meta that you’re looking for. Speaking from experience facing them they have possibly 3 guilds that field 15-20 range to GvG. Those were [PAL], [TC], and [FB]. [FB] not so much since they’re playing Archeage. And I’m assuming by GvG you’re talking about the 15-20 range. Prior to my knowledge from facing YB in week 1, [TUNE] only fielded 5-8. Unless they got more members.

Probably because even they know it means nothing. MOS didn’t even take the time to do it either. The event known as “Seasons” is just a fluff for regular weeks of WvW.

Not really, just feels like regular weeks of WvW. Nowhere near how it was during Season 1.

What’s the point of this thread exactly? If Anet follows through with their post about match ups being different all 4 weeks of season 3 for Silver/Bronze league. You’re no longer playing with the best of the best after each week. You’re playing against everyone in the league. If they followed through with Season 2’s format sure, but now it seems just like a group stage.

We don’t really have anything comparable to NSP’s 2-3 guild zergs per map so we took our ball and went home.

NSP has more than 3 guild groups? All I remember was the [Os] blob, [EDGE] and [AoT] before we shoved them out of T5. Who are the other 6-9 new guilds?

Higher tiers stay to fight each other from different servers.

Lower tiers its up in the air. Could be just a bandwagon thing being started or some bit. Heard DR offers 50g per player that transfers over from someone who moved over to us recently. So it could be that as well, who knows.

Still looking to bolster our numbers. We run 15-20 on reset and drop to 10-15 throughout the weekdays.

Trust me I feel your pain. TC has been stuck with JQ and BG for god knows how long now, it’s the reason why I don’t WvW anymore. When we drop down to tier 2 for a week or two I’ll rejoin WvW, not saying TC stay in tier 2, but a break from Tier 1 would be refreshing and worth playinv WvW again.

I moved from Tarnished Coast after recently moving to TC thinking maybe they would be able to win one time out of four or five, but, because they have no way of winning and are in the wrong tier as many servers are now I was forced move again.

Losing week after week is demoralizing even in a game.

Guess Anet wants to keep people spending money for moves by not fixing WvW.

Anet, many servers are in the wrong tiers.

Anet, when are you going to switch the servers into their correct tiers?

Anet , when are you going to listen to anyone in WvW at all?

How many times and in how many ways can the thousands of us say it before you will fix the tiers?

I understand why anyone would have issues with losing week after week without any hope of winning, ever.

I’m VERY much considering a transfer myself. I love TC, I think we have the best community by far, very friendly! But yea, losing every week sucks, and I don’t go into WvW to fight for 2nd place. We just don’t have the numbers to actually shot for 1st place, and we all know in WvW numbers > skill of the players. Sooo I’m looking at Tier 2 servers and more specifically SoS.

And what happens when TC loses enough players that SoS moves up to tier 1 and takes TCs spot as perpetual loser. Do you then transfer again just so you can win?

I’ll stick with SoS for awhile, but yea if it becomes the new TC I’d transfer again. I don’t mind losing every now and then. But NEVER coming in 1st …nope not doin it.

From what I have seen in score ratios, SOS should be in Tier 1.

TC should be around where HoD is now.

If the players are happy losing week after week, they can stay clear of the forums and live in blissful misery – but I won’t just sit here and be beaten by virtue of incorrect matching rather than no interest.

Some servers have a WvW community.

Others, not so much.

The servers with strong, healthy communities will rise to the top of WvW eventually – that’s where all good players will settle in the long run.

I will bet the “good” servers are in building mode right now, they welcome good players from any server and never grief or exclude them for the choice they wrongly made about servers in the past.

I was on HoD from beginning to end of our winning season this year.

I was on FA from the beginning until the end of the first WvW season.

I have been on and part of winning on two servers. It’s more fun to win, yes, but it’s more important to have a community where people talk to one another in map chat as well as comms, when necessary, and not leave out those who can’t hear – which is happening a lot now – so many forget that many have hearing issues or are deaf.

WvW deserves better than the devs have given it.

sPvP with just five players per side means more to them and that makes no sense at all.

TC belongs where HoD is? As much as a CD native I’d enjoy fighting TC karma trains. You don’t belong where HoD is. You belong exactly where you are when your server went out recruiting from other servers. You overran opposing servers on a consistent basis when you were in T2. Just because you are unable to get close to a 1st place finish doesn’t mean you don’t belong there.

And sorry if this is offensive to you, but the reason some folks are finding your complaint humorous is because of your history. FA for S1, finished 1st Silver League. HoD for S2, finished 1st Silver League. All of which were stacked servers in their league, meaning free winning streaks. It comes off more that you just want to win.

Be glad they’re weapons/armor. Knowing Anet they were probably debating between adding Spikes as rewards or not. lol

It all varies I suppose. If your guild based their transfer off of purely gold, then yeah it is something to be ashamed of. If you moved for the sake of having fun and letting your guild grow, then its fine.

Thing to keep in mind though is that it may bother you personally only. Nobody else will care and see it as competition. And of course there’ll be some who see you as sell outs regardless.

Sorry, the best way to get us out of your hair is to let us climb. Our SEA has been starving for the past 2 months ever since the last 2 weeks of Season 2. And with DB dropping down to T3 and has the guaranteed SEA coverage to give our guys fights. We’re pushing as far up as we can to give them that.

All in all, we gained what we were hoping to achieve. Server stability and enough numbers to make a push to tier 4, and hopefully tier 3 in the future.

I’ve added Ohbe (Ohbe.9761) as a new point of contact for NA. He’s been extremely helpful in getting alot of our stuff organized. A CD native that came back to help us blob as well as BG. I will be on vacation from the 21-29. Ohbe will make serenade you until you transfer to us.

On a side note; we are welcoming our new guilds today at 9pm server in new lions arch. We were able to meet our minimum quota for the first phase. Which is pre march 18.

What we are still looking for:
-Roaming guilds always welcome, can never have enough scouts and open field trolls
-another mid size wvw/pvx guild fielding 20-30 on reset nights and possibly 2 other nights.
-Commanders- we lack commander coverage during oceanic, perhaps a small oceanic crew can fill that role. More importantly NA commanders just present on map coordinating small teams and scouts while the main forces are map hopping.

To note: all the guilds that have chosen to come here, come here with the understanding that NA is our weakest and it’s an uphill battle. It still is and that’s the way we like it to be. We want a tighter knit NA community going into the thick of things not a karma train. This is not a numbers game for us, this is a quality game.

With season 2 announced and the way server transferring is being handled, I was wondering how many servers are actually losing there WvW guilds?

My friends on Crystal Desert are telling me that there main WvW guild KoME is actually leaving the server, even though they have been there since beta. Rumors are that they are going to HoD, due to the CD community and drama on the server.

Any other servers experiencing this?

I’ll say this much, there is no drama going on here. Crystal Desert is in a rebuilding phase and we are strengthening our core guilds who wish to comply with the rest of the server. As a matter of fact, the past 2-3 weeks have been some of the most peaceful moments we’ve had. You’re more than welcome to join us and listen for yourself. Throw a PM my way.

CD’s SEA has always been one of our strong points. And we are high on the SG population on our server. I am training the guys from [RI] for WvW, and if they’re a great bunch of guys and gals. If you wish to speak with them on how active the population come SEA primetime toss me a whisper. We can setup a chat together!

I’m a recent transfer to Crystal Desert, so keep in mind it is coming from that perspective.

CD: Lack of numbers, and a lack of experienced commanders/community

When the enemy can’t even count accurately of your numbers, its a blob. Doesn’t matter what tier, don’t be ashamed guild groups.

Nothing wrong about wanting fights and not caring about PPT. On the otherhand, bring a karma train to EoTM and claim to want fights.

The fights have been large scale, and epic. Now, go back to your drawing board and come up with a sound argument that works.

Argument still works and is more than valid: By your own admission SoR can’t hang with the PVdoor/ppt of JQ/BG, instead of “looking for fights” in T1 (IE: your blob can’t blob their blob), you chose to blob up and Float team blob. Still not satisfied with the PPT outlook, you blobbed up once again and went to EoTM and found blobby epic scale blob fights.

Also, related: When people make comments about SoR in EoTM, it is because we recognize the zerg/guild tags friend….It is not just random shots at a particular server…

I have a feeling that your definition of “blob” is different than everyone else in T1. 30-40 is NOT a blob to any of SoR’s guilds, which is likely where your rage is coming from. 30-40 is actually a pretty small group in T1.

I’ve been in fights where all sides have had pretty large groups. Attributing all the “blobs” to a few SoR guilds is rather shortsighted on your part.

30-40 might not be a map zerg…But I think most people would consider 30-40 a blob son.

I’d stay out of T1 or T2 then if you truly think that son. Organized guild groups get to that size on a nightly basis.

I don’t know man, after reading the QQ ratings. I think a cloud with ‘SoRe Losers’ text on it and IRON/DIE tags moving away from it would sell more.

I just tried to get the Master Of Baubles, World 1 achievement 3 times. I followed the guide provided by Dulfy.net exactly and resulted with no achievement.

Has this been fixed or not? I noticed the patch notes stating something with Bachelor of Baubles, World 1.

Today I salvaged one of my armor pieces for the rune, Profane Armor Skin, because I no longer enjoyed the look. I was able to salvage 1 piece of the set, then I was unable to salvage the rest. A red highlight indicator appears not even giving me the option to salvage it.
