Thanks all, I think we figured it out. All of your tips were valuable and appreciated.
Hi everyone, our guild is looking for detailed tips on how to move VG so that green lightning circles always spawn in the safe sector, specifically in phase 5.
Phase 3 is easy enough, if only because it has two safe sectors.
The biggest problem is the instant green circle after a breakbar.
I guess the solution is to anticipate the break bars, which happen every 30 seconds (starting from when the first cast ends?). If you know a break is coming move him into the next sector?
Would appreciate details of you or your guilds approach to this, thank you.

so to clarify we can get this title by getting to legendary, and not one tier in legendary?
Yes just reaching Legendary from diamond got me the title
I got the title but I don’t have the league champion since you need Legendary x2 for that. It says cross 6 thresholds so the wording is either wrong or its a bug and I wasn’t supposed to get the title.

The lose 2 pips thing is extremely disheartening. I wanted to push to Legendary if my skill allowed it, but no way am I gonna try after just reaching diamond.
This is because 2 pips losses are usually due to MMR abuse (this happened multiple times) and the time I lost 2 pips because a teammate left after immediately dying in the first 30 seconds.
The main reason it’s disheartening is 2 pip losses are extremely time consuming to get back. If on average a game takes 10 minutes + 5 minutes que time + wait time, it takes at the very least 30 minutes to get back to even… and thats assuming I win both!
Hell no am I gonna grind to legendary as a solo q. I couldn’t possibly get good enough to carry teams solo. I also don’t want to find a duo que or full team to play with.

does not, but people in diamond are mechanically better. though their rotations are still poor.
Even though they’re mechanically better many still seem like keyboard turners.
lost 2 pips for a thief that LEFT the game after dying in 2 seconds in the first mid fight.

gs axe/shield with zerker amulet
my other fav classes are scrapper and rev, and its so painful knowing how much better they are than warrior
I can get 17 for a semi-optimized run in a full game. I’d say 18 is the max for even the most optimal pathing since you’d have to be lucky that no one is running the same path you are + get lucky at getting to the presents at the right time. Even then I don’t think you have enough time for 18.
not surprised to see 20 since the person probably figured out all the optimal shortcutsg + no wait since it’s solo

warrior utilization rate in higher leagues : 0%
The sword/shield adds a little bit but hardly enough survivability
It feels great when you can get the gunflame off
Unfortunately if they have an inkling of knowledge about the build you’re worthless
fun for a few matches though
Tried Revenant but as soon as Warrior is fixed (lol) i’m coming back
I find Zerk Rev right in between the survivability of Zerk Warrior and Zerk Thief
Zerk thief = ded if you can’t play
Zerk warrior = more forgiving but still ded if you can’t play

either take the hit and learn ele and die a lot learning, or pick warrior and die less

The 1 second cooldown is too clunky, would rather not enter berserk mode and just use my F1 on the bow and sword although the sword F1 is really cool

High level fractals are easy enough once you know what you’re doing that enjoyability trumps class composition. Of course it isn’t mutually exclusive, as you can have a meta comp and have fun also. I guess if you’re doing a 50/40/30/20 run everyday, then speed would be of concern.

I’ve been kinda underwhelmed by the Revenant and I was super excited to play it. If the Thief or Warrior elite specs are any good I’d make one just to make one
I hate the sword auto animations. The first AA is the warrior sword 3 and it looks ridiculous.
The second AA makes you stand in a tight line so you can’t strafe at all if you want the damage

I want to like Axe/shield and Sword/shield but they are a step below hammer and even then, Hammer/GS is extremely predictable

Hi Purple, I was wondering if you had any written text or videos on optimal or near optimal rotations with GS + Axe/Mace
I’m assuming the rotations on Dulfy are outdated because of the Berserker’s Power change?

Yep, Sword/sh is just frustrating against warrior. Flurry is completely worthless since every warrior runs GS. I learned my lesson the hard way now I’ll probably run Axe/shield when I see an enemy warrior since I refuse to use GS/hammer.
Axe/shield is just easy mode compared to sword, but I like both so I’ll just rotate them.
When you hit that flurry → HB combo hnnng
Thanks for the response, I would also go with Hoelbrak over Strength but I like doing Fractals from time to time. Death from above is definitely viable as I don’t pop healing signet much either, they are both meh choices I guess as fall damage is so situational although I can see the benefits.
Interesting choice of mischief sigil, it’s cheap enough so that I can test it out, nice. I may prefer the energy sigil over it, but leeching + energy doesn’t sound so bad.
Hydromancy + doom on GS, I like it. It’s actually interesting compared to the boring Air + Fire I use. When I used hydromancy in pvp I didn’t feel it’s effectiveness though in but I’ll give it another shot. Perhaps it doesn’t last long enough or it may be the case that I haven’t been on the other end of the chill.

Waveguider: I’d prefer Pack like in your build or Hoelbrak, but I can’t afford more than 1 set of armor at the moment and I use the Strength runes to PvE lol. Interesting choice of Str/Disc/Arms instead of the traditional defense. I don’t know that I can sacrifice Defense for Arms because I’m already full Zerk! I’d definitely have to mix and match armor, perhaps Knight’s like you suggested.
Choppy: Thanks for the detailed response, it seems you have a lot of experience with this build or warrior in general. If I get Frenzy should I take Burst Mastery instead of Heightened Focus? There might be good synergy somehow chaining them one after another but I dunno lol.
I’d agree with you for sword over axe at least in WvW, I’ll probably go sword almost exclusively if for only the mobility. I prefer eviscerate over final thrust, but it isn’t half bad itself. The animation is subtle/less telegraphed and hits just as hard as eviscerate although slightly harder to land and only works <50% hp. I’ll probably start reminiscing over Axe auto attacks tho and switch from time to time, until I get kited and go back to sword lol.
I’ll probably follow your Last Stand suggestion also unless condi’s become a problem.
Can you tell me more about your offhand sword build? Is it a condi build?
I like the intelligence sigil idea on the Axe -> straight to Eviscerate, but I’m not so sure on the sword because when I swap I’ll probably leap -> auto chain for the immobilize, kinda wasting it. A guaranteed Final Thrust crit would be awesome but for some reason leap never hits lol. Of course you can move with try to final thrust without any CC but kitten its hard. Do you have any experience with hydromancy? I feel it might be a good choice.
I guess shield mastery is necessary purely for the CD reduction. Without shield 5 up, you feel naked and you feel like you desperately need to swap to GS lol. I probably will go with your energy over bloodlust sigil because without shield CD your defenses are pretty shaky if you cant swap to GS and WW out or something.

This is what I’m currently using, it’s the standard build pretty much -
I’m looking for any suggestions regarding anything, runes/traits/utilities etc.
Perhaps swap one of the utilities with Frenzy or Bulls Charge?
The armor is full zerk because it’s all I have right now.
The only trait line I see as 100% necessary is discipline for fast hands and brawlers recovery, but defense seems pretty necessary too for shield mastery + one of the grandmasters. Speaking of grandmasters, I’m not too sure what’d be better between CI/Last Stand/Rousing Resilience.
What about full yolo with Str/Arms/Discipline?
Also any suggestions on axe vs sword?
Pros for axe: auto attack + eviscerate
Pros for sword: mobility + flurry -> HB
Deep down I think GS/Hammer is better but I don’t find it as fun as x/shield
