I have been in SotD for a few years now. I didn’t join right at the start, but when I did I was instantly welcomed to the family.

I love these guys and probably would have quit the game a long time ago had I not joined. They have kept the game fun and interesting and gave me a reason to log in everyday.

I have 9 character slots, plus the limited time beta slot. I think I’ve read about people with 20+ characters also.

And where exactly is Magnus in Bloodtide Coast? I can’t find him in front of the portal to LA, nor is he at the refugee camp.

She shows up where the Lawson escort ends. When I first did his escort I wondered why he runs up the wall at Fort Marriner to escape instead of going to the asura gate that the dolyaks uses. Then I found out that Ellen comes down in her airship there and picks a bunch of people up.

I would also like to know where Ellen is. I like hanging out and listening to conversations and talk to the npcs. Some of their stories are so sad.

Happens to me. At first I thought I was accidentally changing the size in all the confusion.

I love that the load time in LA is super short and there is no lag for me. xD

I’m leaving all my alts right where they currently are. They are scattered all over LA. I think it’ll be an adventure logging them in to see how the area around them have changed.

I want to duel wield pistols on my mesmer, I think it’d be super fun.

You can always ask them why it won’t click for them. You might find that the answers are different for each of them. Different people, different tastes.

My husband played from launch till around January and left to play Tera with his friends. Gw2 combat wasn’t actiony enough for him and he found that in Tera. My husband had also got some of his friends to play the game at launch and they quit the game after about a month or two. They rushed to level 80 and farmed cof for their gear and then didn’t know what to do afterwards.

So I decided to wvw and went into eb this morning. Everything was fine, my game was running smoothly and then I got to our commander with our zerg and we ran into the HoD zerg. My screen became a picture slide show, I was lagging so badly. It was just a sea of red. I tried to play but with the lag it was just unplayable.

After the league, I am burnt from wvw. This week might be too hardcore for me

I sometimes make superior siege and donate it to the commanders I like.

While this idea could help, I can see a lot of people abusing it. There are a ton of people with tags but don’t use it in wvw or if they do, they might only be trolls. Some people might just withdraw siege to be mean. Perhaps if there was a blacklist feature to block troll commanders from withdrawing the siege or a list where you can put in your favorite commanders that get priority for the siege.

I’d be fine with every server getting the same reward, with the winning servers just getting bragging rights for their placements. Out of all the weeks we’ve played, I haven’t seen any server that didn’t do the best with what they had (new content withstanding). That, in itself, should be worthy of a dolyak finisher in my opinion… not rank placement. I give mad props to the lower ranked servers for actually getting stronger during this league. I almost thought it would be their death knell. I say good job to the Bronze League!

A lot of people don’t care about bragging rights, they prefer loot. People have been complaining since the game started that there wasn’t progress in wvw and there was no benefit to winning your match. So they brought out leagues and gave us chests based on the performance in the league. People like to chase their shineys.

In Darkhaven BL on reset night, there was a ton of SF running around. They took our bay right away and broke through to inner garrison and kept coming back. We had some epic fights at our north camp against a huge ball of SF. Reset night was a lot of fun, there was rarely a moment of rest. I cannot speak for the other maps, but on DH BL, there was no lack of SF.

Btw, since i’ve been gone so long everyone may think i’m a nooby commander on Darkhaven again. ;.; don’t hate me, i’ve played on DH since launch and have been a commander on the server since about 2 weeks after that. *thanks to donations by ex-guildies in WE and a lot of others)

Back at the launch of the game, I use to wvw and lurk on the wvw section of the forums a lot . I remember seeing your name a lot on the forums. However, I can’t seem to be able to recall your in game name.
Btw, Darkhaven has a facebook group, that might help you get a list of our commanders.

I’m usually on the DH TS and I have nothing against [Fun]. The first time I saw the guild name I thought it was really clever. It is true that our wvw channel is filled with idle chatter about stuff not related to wvw. There have been many times that I’ve had to raise my voice over the conversation so people would hear me calling for help. I feel guilty because it seems like I’m shouting but no one seemed bothered by it. I usually get help when I call for it. Although sometimes it feels like my pleas get lost in the chatter.

I can’t believe this whole argument started because someone from another server said [Fun] did emotes at them. I’ve seen both servers do the laugh emote at us, but I don’t go on the forums and call out an entire guild on it.

Can we please stop hijacking the match thread?

I am sad at the way our Darkhaven members are attacking each other on this thread. We should be rallying around each other, not fighting each other.

I haven’t had much interaction with the [Fun] guild, but I do see them around wvw and I appreciate everything they’ve done.

I have ran with [Anbu] and AssassinX and I do think he is a good commander that has helped the server a lot.

So please, do not fight. If you have disagreements, just try to talk it out instead of name calling and pointing fingers at each other. We need to come together as a server and not let our egos get in the way.

Yeah that was [BRL] Black Rose Legion. I feel kinda bad for the one guy who kept charging us and dieing. But I feel even worse for the Kaineg group in front of the SE tower who got rolled by our nakedness.

I have not touched wvw today. I played a few hours after reset yesterday , but after that crazy last few hours of fighting with fc in our previous match, I needed a break.

This match has been awesome, for the past hour there has been non stop fighting in DH bl with the constant flipping of hills and bay. I would like to congratulate everyone on a great match up.

I usually enjoy when people chase me arounda map… sometimes anyways. xD If it’s a zerg chasing, usually I try to let them chase me till there’s maybe 1 or 2 or 3 left chasing, then I turn and fight and attempt to make em’ pay :P Anything above a 1v3 I usually don’t even try ._.

If I get attacked while I’m wondering around, I usually just bolt and don’t even bother turning around. With my luck, it’s usually a bunch of people. -.-

I don’t think he called the entire server pathetic, that would be stupid. He did however call the individuals in the ss pathetic.

The way it was worded made it seem like he was going in that direction. If it wasn’t the case then I am truly sorry for jumping to conclusions.

I’ve had people chase me down before and try to kill me, even after running for a while. Sometimes I escape, sometimes I don’t. I don’t go around calling an entire server pathetic though.

So far this has been a great match up. There has been fun battles fought and the constant back and forth with the overall and potential points is making this an exciting week.

Tomorrow there will be two new dailies.

You can’t get the royal tradition until the 30th of this month. There are special dailies to get the remaining points for the sweet friend.

This happened to me and I’m so sad. Last year I beat it with no problems, this year I get to the top and miss the jump.

I think in the Halloween event last year there was a scavenger hunt and it had clues as to where to go. That was a fun hunt.

That happened to me the first time I did the zone. Since I couldn’t see a way to get out of it, I left and restarted. It then happened again. -.-

Today I got an ax in w2z2 tribulation mode. I am sad that it is going away.

I got stuck between two jumping rocks in w2z2 TM. In the time it took my character to get up, the rocks were ready to jump again and I get knocked back down before I could have gotten control of my character again. So I would love a suicide button.

I enjoyed that part. I thought it was so funny.

Go to the pavalion in divinity’s reach. The instance for the closing ceremony should be there.

1. I would like the dragons to actually stomp around, kick the players, hit them with their tails or even bite them. And it’s random how they act every time so we can’t just stand one place and auto attack them to death.

2. I would like my home instance to actually do something.

3. I want more events like the one where a bunch of assassins came after me because of something I did in my story line. This way, it’ll actually feel like my story line matters.

Here’s my mesmer.

My friend did both Kiel and Evon’s t4 trials today on his thief. It took him a lot of tries but he finally did it. I on the other hand, won’t try it. I don’t enjoy this content so I’m not going to force myself to do something I don’t like for some achievement points.

It wasn’t until yesterday that I decided to fully support Kiel.

The Thaumanova reactor’s history seemed like it would have a bigger impact on the world today than the Fall of Abaddon. However I wasn’t ready to cast my full vote to Kiel yet because I was still curious about Fall of Abaddon so I was waiting for something to push me to one side or the other.

This came in the form of the candidate trials, after listening to the conversation between Kiel and her subordinate and Evon and his subordinate. Kiel wanted to return the goods to their rightful owners while Evon wanted to take it for himself to fuel his campaign. The very campaign that would allow him to set up trade agreements with the people we just saw him steal from…

This is pretty much the only dungeon in the game that I want to keep doing. I don’t feel drained or bored at the end of the dungeon like I do at the end of other dungeons.

The only thing I would think to nerf is the time that cannons fire for, maybe just knock off a few seconds.

Btw, I don’t have all the achievements for this dungeon and the few that I did get, I actually felt like I earned them.

Some parts of this puzzle was fun, other parts I had to build up my courage before I would make the leap.

I went all the way to the diving location because I thought that was the way I needed to go. I was so confused after I got to the top so I looked it up, saw where the chest was and then jumped off hoping to land in a good spot. Unfortunately I died so I had to start the puzzle over.

But you know, after I did it all over again and got the chest, I felt happy.

I just had to revive this old thread, I didn’t want to create another.

I was just hanging out in Divinity’s Reach when I heard an npc shout this:

“Look, it’s shiro tagachi!”
I had the same reaction as his npc friend, lol.

I like these nods to GW1. I rather enjoyed Factions, it was the only campaign I ever finished.

I feel like such a slacker. I only have one.

I’m going for The Bifrost.
I currently have the Gift of Mastery, fortune and Gift of the Bifrost.
I am trying to get the precursor and I cry a little every time the forge or a chest doesn’t give me one.

I think The Bifrost is super pretty.

Just an update, as of 05/05/13 at 1800 hours of playing I have made my first legendary, The Bifrost.

It’s funny, I took screenshots of every step of creating it except the final one. I was just so excited that I forgot.

I started my legendary back at the end of November and I only now have gotten it. I grinded slowly for it and only when I felt like and I rarely ran dungeons. I use to sometimes run around cursed shore collecting everything I see and doing every event I come across. However, they have recently made the events a bit more difficult for me to solo.

My pro tip, find yourself some good buddies. I would have given up on my legendary a long time ago if I didn’t play with those guys.
