I don’t see a problem with having a lot of legendary weapons running around. Usually when I’m standing in Lions Arch not really doing anything and I see someone with a legendary weapon I follow them around for a bit. It has sort of become a mini game for me.

I am going for The Bifrost because it’s shiny and I like the skin, I don’t care if it’s rare or not. One day I might go for the Kudzu for my Ranger. It’s a flowery bow and my ranger is a Sylvari so I think they will go well together.

I’m going for The Bifrost.
I currently have the Gift of Mastery, fortune and Gift of the Bifrost.
I am trying to get the precursor and I cry a little every time the forge or a chest doesn’t give me one.

I think The Bifrost is super pretty.

I’d be happy if this was the case. I only need the precursor for my legendary and have been farming dragons and trying the forge with no luck. Today I tried a lot of rares in the forge and didn’t even receive one exotic in return. While my friend has dumped hundreds of gold into the forge trying to get his and has also been unlucky.

However, if this way is perceived as too easy I would also be happy if you you had to buy some sort of gift with the 100 laurel and combine it with 3 other stuff in the forge and out pops your precursor. As long as the 3 other things doesn’t require luck and instead dedication and hard wok. Maybe one of the other stuff you can only get after you have 4000 achievement points.

It’s still there, it’s now at the top of the page instead of the bottom. You find them on the weapon page, not the armor page.

The first time I did lupi it was with a pug group and we could not get past him so we called it a night. He was just so daunting and so I thought it was the end of my legendary journey. However that next night I tried it again with the group I usually play with and we beat him on our first try and this was everyone else’s first run of Arah exp. We did path 3 every night until I had enough tokens for my gift and we always got past lupi on our first try. So that boss what was scary and made me sad when running with pugs became fun and challenging when running with my group. So I don’t think he needs nerfing, a group that works well together can easily beat him.

Going for a legendary weapon is optional in this game. You know what’s involved when you decided to go for one and chose to subject yourself to it. If you don’t want to do what’s involved in getting one then don’t go for it. There are a lot of people that put the time and effort into getting their legendary so it’ll be unfair to all of a sudden make it easier. Instead of requiring less mats maybe they should increase the drop rates of of precursors and clovers from the forge and t6 mats from mobs out in the world.

You’re getting The Bifrost on a necro? That’s cool, didn’t think a necro would want The Bifrost.

To be honest, in my humble opinion, The Bifrost is one of the easier legendaries to get. I say that because I have a friend who originally started to go for the Twilight or The Flameseekers Prophecies and needed onyx lodestones. He would constantly run TA and farm earth elementals but would never get any so he broke down and bought it all. But then he decided he wanted the hammer so he sold all the onyx and bought all the molten lodestones. -.-

So getting 250 dyes and 100 opal orbs wasn’t so bad compared to what he went through. Although putting 250 dyes in to get the gift of color was kinda hard because I like to open dyes but it wasn’t so bad because I get dye drops a lot of the time I play. So I always figured that running a harder dungeon kinda balanced out not needing any lodestones.

I have a group of friends that I play with consisting of my husband and a few people that I played with on other games. I’ve always heard of how hard Arah exp was and how long it took so I didn’t want to put my friends through that. Finding a team always took a while even with using the gw2lfg website since most of the time they ask for experienced runners. When I did get a group, it took too long and we never finished. I really thought that was the end of my legendary journey. However, my friends said of course they’ll help me. So we ran path 3 and we finished it and I was so happy and so amazed at how easier it seemed with this group than with the pugs I had. We ran path 3 every night for a week and I had my tokens. So with the right team you can have your tokens too. Although that is easier said than done.

If you really do not wish to put yourself through further runs of Arah, then hold off on your legendary. I read a while back that they were going to revamp dungeons, although they didn’t say how. Also, there’s those talks of new legendaries coming out. Maybe the new staff won’t need Arah. ^.^

There’s nothing wrong with working slowly towards a weapon you want. I started working on my legendary last month and it would probably take another 6 months before I’m finished at the rate I’m going. I don’t mind taking so long because I don’t need it now so I won’t be hardcore grinding to get it. I’m only doing stuff when I feel like it.

I needed to do this dungeon for my legendary staff. The problems I had were that the dungeon was closed a lot of the time because there weren’t enough people to do the events to open it up or it was bugged. The next problem was finding a team when it was opened. Most people wanted people with experience running it. The first time I ran it, my team couldn’t get past lupi and I thought that was the end of my legendary journey. But I tried it again the next night with my friends and we passed him easily. We looked up what we had to do for him and did it. It was on path 3 and we ran it every night until I got all the tokens that I needed.

I got 77 clovers from around 250 tries. I was so happy to get the final one.

I recently decided to go for a legendary weapon because it’s so shiny and I wants it. When I made my decision I knew full well that it would probably take a year to make it. I’m slowly but happily working towards my goal. I already had my badges of honor, my gift of exploration and bunches of karma. Every time I get a clover there’s a big smile on my face. So I’m thoroughly enjoying the process and don’t find it to be a grind because I’m not grinding. I spend a few minutes here and there around the world to get my mats instead of staying in one place for hours grinding. I’m visiting maps I haven’t been to since I first cleared them out. So I don’t mind that there is this getting gold and mats part of the legendary. It makes it just that much harder to get and a little more special.

I will add that the only thing I don’t like is getting the Arah dungeon tokens.

When I finished it I had the biggest smile on my face. I was just so happy. I tried it at different times throughout the weekend and every time I went in I always found myself with a funny group of people. I never thought I’d finish it.

I really enjoyed our matches against SoR. After our spanking at the hands at you guys, something sparked in us and we’ve been chasing your tails hoping for another awesome meet up against you. I’m happy to see that there’s someone on SoR that feels the same way. ^.^

Today I decided to wvw a bit on Darkhaven BL and when I first got in people were arguing in chat and we were so disorganized. We some how got it together enough to make some pushes south but Maguuma pushed us back. And you know what, I had a blast. Thanks for a good fight.

Btw, I got put into an over flow server while going to Lions Arch a few mins ago. I was so shocked. I haven’t been in an overflow for a long time.

Yeah, I guess probably not. It’s not like they can decorate the maps, that would just lag people even more.

So tomorrow’s the start of the Halloween event. You guys excited? You think it’ll affect WvW? I hope we get candy.

Why can’t we call just have fun and enjoy the game? Why can’t we be like you know that fight in that bl was so awesome. We pushed and you pushed back and it was so much fun. Good job to both sides on a good fight.

Is this what wvw has come to? Accusing each other of hacking and exploiting? Putting down the other server’s accomplishments?

Repairs doesn’t usually bother me in wvw. By the time I leave I usually made more money than what I spent on repairs.

That is a shame if DH players are using speed hacks. It explains why DH owns the entire map.

I don’t like cheaters, they ruin the game for everyone. I am an honest player and most players on our server are honest. However, we are plagued by a few members that are cheaters. We don’t condone their behavior and if we had the chance we would kick them out of our server and have them banned. Saying it explains why we own everything sounds like you’re saying our server is filled with hackers and we hacked our way through everything. Which is unfair.

The plain and simple fact is that we out number FC and AR, this is the first time in a while that I’ve seen queues to get into WvW. It seems as though more people are participating in WvW now that we are winning. I can’t help but wonder where all these numbers were when we were losing last week and needed them. Or where were they when we were only 1k behind from taking the lead and asked people in open world to come help out in the last hours of the match up two weeks ago.

And in keeping with the theme of this thread, I really hope AR and FC doesn’t give up and push us back. I hate that we’re spawn camping, it’s so stupid. I don’t even bother with wvw right now because I know when I go in that would be what I find.

Last night I hopped into wvw after the update into ferg’s borderlands. (I couldn’t get in before because there was a queue and maybe it’s the time I chose to play but it was the first time I’ve seen a queue in a while.) They had taken some stuff so I ran with a big mob of people taking it back and our last stop was the supply camp up north. When we took it someone dropped a flame ram on their red door. -.- So I just grabbed the vista and left.

I don’t like spawn camping. I hate when it’s done to us and I hate that we’re doing it to others. I don’t get the point. I’d rather lose and go down in a flame of battle than win by spawn camping.

I’m not boasting or saying it’s all but guaranteed, I’m saying that in the spirit of competion, it’s something that is done all the time in sports. I was actually hoping for someone to respond with a similar line, that’s how it usually goes. I didn’t even really mean it, I had no clue if we would win or not.

Week 2-3 we were stuck with NSP, currently ranked 15th.
So excuse us in Anvil Rock if we aren’t impressed with your virtual domination of the map. What your fighting now are the die hards that wont’ quit and jump ship to a winning server.
Here’s another tip. You’re bragging about beating up on the lower 25% of the entire server list. Nobody is impressed.

When did I say we’ve already won? I said we have strong night time organization, but I don’t recall ever having said we’ve won. I really wish people would read my posts before commenting on them.

Aww, don’t give up. A lot can happen in a week. It’s more fun this way.
Like today in Anvil Rock borderlands, Anvil pushed and pushed and took back their garrison and the top half of the map and it was a lot of fun trying to push them back. My hat goes off to those stubborn Anvil Rockers that beat us back. Was a good fight.

This thread started to congratulate the servers on a good fight for last weeks match up. Last week was really fun and the last few hours of the match up was especially exciting. Some of the fights this week were pretty fun too like the three way battle for SM a couple nights ago. Getting kicked off for the update was a really omgwtfbbq tear hair out moment. I called it a night after I rushed back in to start the battle over to only watch everything get repaired right before my eyes.

It’s sad that this was turned into a name calling and a hostile thread.

I would like to thank everyone on SF and SoR for giving us some epic battles and for showing what WvW can be.

Honestly, I read this last night and hopped that they would someone give people that already completed the maps the updated rewards.

I find the conversation between the char cub and human child in Lions Arch to be really sweet. They’re both playing with each other and after their game they say that they’re each others best friend but not to tell their parents.

I’m guessing you’ve been unlucky in your match ups. The first week of the week long match ups my server got steam rolled. One server held almost everything. I still got a decent amount of money out of it though when I went in. A small party of my guild mates would just run around the map capping supply camps. When the other server controlled everything they would spawn camp us. My group would sneak around them and then go off on our capping supply route. While many people from our server would run into the enemy zerge and get killed while gaining nothing. That would be the gold sink.

Last week and this week our server was given a more even match up. We push them and get pushed back and keeps and such constantly changes hands. No one server is dominating anyone and it’s all pretty fun.

Yesterday I went into a borderland with 22 copper and left with over 1 gold even though I bought siege equipment, upgraded things and repaired… a lot.

I have a little over 1000 kills and I have 200 badges. My husband has only a little more kills than I do and he has over 300 badges. So unfair.

Maybe it’s just the times I play but even on the weekends there doesn’t seem to be a queue.

Just logged in today and it was all fixed and I got my title. I’m so so happy. Thank you very much Arenanet.

I’m kinda glad that it’s not only me. I completed everything today, got my reward and the star by my name. However, I’m in the same boat with the people in this thread.

Btw, anyone else find it funny that we had to find every nook and cranny for Shiverpeaks and Magumma explorer but for Ascalon we received the achievement while we still had unopened areas for it?

We were doing Sorrow’s Embrace explorable path one and we couldn’t even get past the first boss. This use to be a dungeon that we could have done with four people. But now those grenadier keeps on coming while we’re trying to fight the boss. Are we supposed to kill that boss in a matter of seconds?

Last night a friend of mine got hacked. He was on teamspeak with us while it was happening. We watched the hacker log onto all his chars and strip his account. The hacker changed his password so he was helpless while this was going down. So he submitted a ticket and started looking for a way to change back his password.

He was able to change it back and went to update his ticket but noticed that he had received an automated reply and his ticket was closed. So he submitted another one and that also was closed right away.

Here’s my elementalist.

On my main lvl 80 elementalist I’m up to the last mission in my story quest that takes place in the dungeon. I haven’t tried it yet.

I didn’t really have any problem doing my personal story. For the first few stages of the story quests I was actually under leveled for most of them but I never needed help to finish them. Being down leveled never bothered me. I did most of my story quests by myself and the only times I didn’t do it by myself were times that my husband wanted to tag along with me.

There were only two times that I had a problem finishing a story quest my first try and that was because they were bugged. The first time was after I rescued that girl from pirates, I finished the mission but the quest didn’t update so I had to redo it. The second time was the quest "The Source of Orr" the boss bugged out on me and stopped taking damage. I had to retry it a couple of times before it finally worked.

Right now I’m playing a necro and I’m focusing mainly on the story missions. So far I’ve been under leveled for most of the story missions that I have done. Yet I’ve been able to finish them by myself. Currently I’m 29 and my mission is level 42. I haven’t tried it yet but I think that this is probably my limit and I would have to level a bit before I try it.

Even though I know there is that option to run back I still try my best not to die and most of the time I don’t die.

Before this game released I played a game in which when you die people had a limited amount of time to pick you up and if they do not get you then you’re locked out of the fight until it’s over. People use to complain about this all the time. So I think it’s funny that you’re complaining that you can run back.

Personally though I don’t think being able to port back takes away from having a strategy, instead it gives your team a second chance.

My Elementalist is my main and she’s lvl 80. I do not find it hard and boring at all. I’ve done most of the stuff by myself, including skill point bosses. Oh and I did this wearing greens and blue drops that I picked up as drops.
For pve and spvp I use scepter and dagger and for dungeons and WvW I use staff.

If you’re having problems taking down two mobs at the same time then you probably don’t move around as much as you can.

Btw, I played an ele in GW1 and it was my favorite class and didn’t find it pathetic at all.

In all seriousness if you find so many things boring about the elementalist then it’s probably not the class for you.

Had this happen to me also and it’s such an annoying fight. I’m kind of staying away from it which is a shame because I really want to see where my story takes me.
