download it from the site and it worked for me.
It seems that Belgium is banned?
I have contacted Telenet and support. Let’s hope someone can fix it.

I have it too for the last two days
Yes, it is worth.
I have been playing with rare gear and weapons for 10 months. For 10 months I didn’t see any exotic weapon. Now since I had enough karma (500k) I decided to get the Karma gear in orr and then created a exotic weapon with crafting. I didn’t suspected it to be so cheap and easy. But now that I have raised from rare to exotic I didn’t noticed any difference… Perhaps I still suck With the last content (Invasion) I received one exotic weapon from a champion
It was only 1.5k gold worth :/ kitten that is cheap when you have 112 gold.
None the less, I am still having fun.
OH and I just started to save materials for my Legendary. But I won’t grind for it.
I will just have fun and one day I will have enough to get it. But it won’t change the having fun part.

Let’s assume that Ascended weapons are grind and we want to get rid of it.
We should be fair and remove all grind then.
You need to grind to get rewards in dungeons. So remove the tokens.
You need to grind to get exotic weapons, remove them.
That leaves only rares which are easy to get. So why not remove all the types and just stick with common which we can all get. Since we do not want to grind.
Same with weapons, trinkets, etc..
Then why not just let everyone choice everything they want at the start of the game like PvP. Grinding is gone.
Loot is then only gold, otherwise you can get grinding since we do not want to play a lot of time to get something. Actually, you no longer need gold since you get everything at the start. We can remove that too. Same with karma, laurels and everything else.
We just play content. I haven’t played this kind of boring games but is it Minecraft? (never played it so I can be wrong that there is grind)
I feel like this is an adventure platform game then and not a MMO or is that just me?
And if so are they playing the wrong genre?Too bad Minecraft is 10x more popular than GW2. You were sayin?
My last question fills it?
According to wiki:
Guild Wars 2, the sequel to Guild Wars, departs from the formula found in Guild Wars, with a clear gear treadmill. “Exotic” weapons and gear are less powerful than “Ascended” items, and “Legendary” weapons are now and will always be scaled to be more powerful than both of these types. Casual players are unlikely to ever equip Legendary weapons due to the time required to obtain the materials needed to construct a Legendary weapon. Ascended items, whilst being slightly more accessible, will still take days, or even months to equip for a casual player. Nevertheless, gear is not essential to the enjoyment of the game and does not divide a line between casual and hardcore players, relying on skill in order to successfully complete challenges.
Yea, one of the selling points and attractions to GW2 was that it was NOT a grindfest. But they seem to be going back on that, so what’s the point in playing GW2 over others MMOs?
And it still isn’t, no grinding required to play all the content of this game, unlike other MMOs.
Wrong…again.
Actually eisberg.2379 is correct, there isn’t a game content that require Ascended Weapon or heavy grind to do, and every update living world event is open to anyone and everyone, every grindy content (i.e.Legendary, Ascended gear) they are all optional.
The only content that I can think of which require gear check is “high” level fractals, which is totally optional, and low level fractal is still open to anyone.
And its the same in other MMOs therefore he is wrong. But he has been explained that same thing at least 10 times by now soooo….
Soo, if I get it right then MMO = Grind.
Then those who do not like are playing a genre they don’t like?People where drawn to this game because it was stated that this game would be “Different” than all other MMO’s in that there would be no need to grind “To Quote Mike Obrien, We don’t make grindy games”
So it’s not that people don’t like the Genre or the Grindy, They just don’t like being sold a product that will involve no grind when it is the complete opposite.
But then again, what you call grinding is something what I don’t call grinding.
So in your eyes they didn’t delivered what was promised but in my eyes they did.
Actually it’s a our own fault. I always try to avoid zergs. But most people actually like to zerg cause they want everything easy. They should make it so that content gets really hard when more then 30 people are around. This might help to kill zergs?
But then it’s very hard to make content for large groups.

300% is very high so it shouldn’t be easy.
I like this! :-)
I NEED HELP!
OK, now that I have your attention, can someone please show me where the required grind is in this game in order to be able to proceed to the next tier of content? I seem to be having trouble finding it. I tried going into WvW without ascended gear and was able to… is there an ascended only WvW? I visited and helped beat Jormag, assorted invasions, dungeons, jumping puzzles, etc. and haven’t been able to find the gated content beyond those that require ascended gear… can someone point that out to me? Because until I find it I’m having a difficult time accepting that this type of optional grind is anyways close to violating the “not a grindy game” concept ANet originally spoke of. Yes, I see optional grindy things for those that want the longer term goals, but the required stuff… I can’t seem to find it. Help me out people!
Only when you go lvl 10 or higher.
So it is not required.
Try againIt is required. For lvl10 or higher.
Your logic…
Going lvl 10 or higher is optional, not required.
And you don’t have to use the weapons they added to finish it.Uh oh, you should probably go back to read what you responded to.
raiding in WoW is optinal, noone says you have to raid. Is there any point in all of this?
WoW is another game. We are talking about GW 2.
Did you read to what I responded? We are still searching for some content that is required to have ascended that you have to grind for. You can play Fractal of The Mists fine without ascended if you pick lvl 1 – 9. And if you do want higher, you don’t need to grind for it.
The point is, people complain first then look/think.

The only thing wrong with grind, is when you have to grind in a specific way that is forced on you. What they need to do is open up how you can grind for the items/etc needed for whatever it is that you are looking to accomplish.
A Player likes to do jump puzzles instead of champ farming? They should have the potential to be rewarded for doing those jump puzzles just as much as champ farming.
Like WvW? You should have the potential to get loot as much as a champ farmer, dungeon grinder, etc.
It’s only a grind when you are forced out of what you enjoy doing in game to do something that you don’t enjoy for long periods of time that keeps one from playing the area(s) of the game they enjoy.
It’s what they are trying to do, they are just really, really slow about updating it lol.
Gear wars 2 ,Farm wars 2 , Grindwars 2.All of those is what gw2 has become instead of actually having guild wars.A tittle that doesn’t even relate to their game in anyway….
I like Grind Wars 2 the best. Its most fitting
Even the grindosaurs are complaining about time gating and not about collection of the mats.
Make a new character and play from 1 to 80. Can you make ascended gear when you turn 80? No.
How far are you from full exotics? Not far.
How far are you from full ascended? Months. Not even counting the armors to come.
Now tell me this game isn’t about grinding for gear.
Months? Have you actually look up how to get stuff or did you just read a bunch of wrong posts in this thread? I am a casual player (10 hours a week max) and I can manage it in a month.
The only grind there is in GW 2 is legendary. But hey, there has to be some grinding.lol I’d like to see you get all the ascended pieces in a month.
Ummm, they have only added weapons…
Again, do you read?
Wait a few weeks and you can buy all the stuff you need at a good prize on the TP. If nobody buys the materials now the prize will drop. That’s how economy works. So if you try to get smarter you will realize that there is no grind needed. You can also buy the lower cheap tiers and upgrade them with the Mystic Forge. I bought my exotic armor with the loads of karma I have. Also you can buy those nice looking chests in ORR with karma and get some high end materials. I could go on and on and on and… how to easily get stuff. But hey, it’s not my duty to think for you, go try it yourself.
Multiply that by how many weapons are needed for a character.
Then multiply that by how many pieces of armor you’ll need soon.
Then multiply that by how many sets of armors of different stats you’ll want.
Then multiply that by how many alts you want to gear.
Go try it yourself.
I only have time for two chars. If you have that many chars you can easily do it faster since you clearly have more time.

As I can read we have two groups. One group who thinks this is a grind game and another group who doesn’t think this is a grind game since they already have what group 1 wants. Hmmm, people can be so strange and false informed. As far as I can see is that people just love to complain and that Anet can do nothing good except when it’s exactly what they had in mind. Yes, sadly we are that spoiled. There is grind in GW 2 but not required to do to get something. If you just play the game for fun you can get everything. It might take a little longer but you can get it. Prizes will drop and you can buy it from the TP or be lucky enough to get it while playing. What I am saying is, doing be a spoiled brat that only had to pay 50 €/$ or so to play a game that gets a lot of new updates for FREE! Lots of other games cost as much and you are done with it after 25 hours… There are going to be changes you like and don’t like. And yes share your opinion about it but please with less drama.
I see people complaining that there isn’t enough to do and then I see people complaining about that there is too much to do.
I’m going to give up on humanity.
You do forget that we also received two other items?
I think it is a good idea to reward players who play more.
If it is done automatically then those who play once a month have the same thing as someone who is dedicated to play each day.
So I don’t agree with you.
I have roughly 40 points a game. That means 62 games…
Each game is at least 5 minutes. 310 minutes.
5 hours at least.
Isn’t that a little too much if you compare it to the other achievements?
awww, now I can’t track answers of my posts
I like DR So me as a casual player have less disadvantages.
I find they actually communicate a lot. Patience is something we have lost long ago.
If they have to communicate at the rate you want then they won’t have any time to actually do something…
I dont think it has anything to do with being "casual"or “hardcore”. I consider myself a "hardcore"player because I play ~60 hours a week, which fits the definition. But I don’t like dungeons either. But, I admit, I really just don’t like human beings and prefer not to be forced to engage with them when I don’t have to. I work full time and act like a normal human being around my work mates and treat my family with love and respect, but outside that I don’t think I should be forced to interact with a species I would be more than happy to see become extinct.
Then you are playing the wrong game.
Anet always intended that they wanted to make the game more social.
Wow, did you spent so much money for a mini? Anet is getting rich if a lot of people are doing this!
2: I don’t know how to play and I can even win…
3: Own fault, why do them each day?
4: bug are hard to fix and they do their best. This is a big game.
5: Own fault, you choice that yourself.
6: This is our own fault, we choice the prizes.
7: No talking? They talk a lot if you compare other games.
Why is everyone so obsessed about making gold?
Isn’t the point of playing a game to have fun?
Is it a race to get the most gold so you can buy what?
Stop farming and start playing the game, you will stop getting disappointed.
Otherwise find a farm game.
I thought this was Guild Wars 2 and not Farm Wars. I don’t see why they should allow farming. Farming = grinding. So they are keeping their promise.
Where is the new ranking update?
