The daily reward chest of exotic equipment does not include a revenant option. I think this could be an oversight. While adding this would make it available to customers without HoT, because the loot table is restricted to the base game’s exotics just customised to heavy armour and the particular weapon set there wouldn’t be anything players couldnt get from other chests.

On the prologue: rally to maguuma, i can no longer progress in the story nor can i restart my progress. The end cutscene bugged out and froze my client. After returning to the game the cutscene continued to freeze the client. After leaving the instance i can no longer return to it nor can i reset the progress to start it over.
I have the same issue
I am also experiencing this. Haven’t left the instance yet though. I was at the playable download stage but not complete. So I think I’ll to retry once the DL is finished and see if it changes anything.
Also lvled my rangers Elite spec in Pvp lobby and didn’t get a skin or achievement.

20 gold 4 solution Display diver has stopped
in Account & Technical Support
Posted by: Phenix Flyer.6724
Whenever I log into the game doing anything causes the game to crash or completely freeze the whole system (even on lowest settings, when I was usually mix of mid and High). On the rare occasion that the game recovers I get a error saying that the Display diver has stopped working and has recovered.
When the game freezes the sound seems to freeze as well continuing the noise it was playing. When this occurs everything is unresponsive and I have to kill the Power.
I have tried an array of solutions, like adjusting NVidia controls and power to performance as well as (Microsoft suggestion) increasing the GPU processing time.
I am using
Nvidia GeForce GT 525M
Driver 337.88
Intel Core i7 2670QM
CPU 2.2GHz
windows 7 home premium (up to Date)
20 gold to the one who makes this game playable again!

Same. Been happening a lot longer for me and made the game virtually unplayable because it totally freezes my entire computer less than two mins in. I’ve been going back and forth with gwsupport without any luck or anyone knowing exactly why it’s happening.
Edit: I’ve monitored my temps and they are well within limits so defiantly not overheating. Updated and proven drivers + performance settings, and low as runescape graphics in game and it still totally freezes -.-

Add me to the list. >.<
Now at the point where the game is crashing every time I log in within 5 mins sometimes 30seconds or so, usually requiring a hard restart. So I have an Nvidia GeForce GT 520m and I have changed and tested performance settings as well as updated driver. I’m finding this particularly annoying because in addition to the crashes no one seems to know what’s actually happening. Searching around a lot of Nvidia users have been having major crashes,
- some suggest overheating issues, and advice upping the fan(s)
-others suggest driver bugs, advising rolling back to certain drivers.
-voltage has been added, along with over-clocking and under-clocking.
Also I just started using Soluto (a general computer management program) and it reported Realtek HD audio as the crashes. So I’m probably just going to have to wait on my ticket.

Kinda different but what I think would be cool is if Guild members where just a different colour on the mini map like the colour of a fellow guild members name.

If it takes you a week to get 100 gold in gw2 you’re either playing 1/2 hours a day and afking half of that time or you’re not doing anything besides sitting in town.
Typical PvE attitude. In other game-modes it’s not so easy to make gold.
Well to bad for you then. If you want money go and get it and stop waiting for it to come to you.

I run a Ranger and most annoying would be a good thief, they can be difficult. In my WvW match ups they tend to be pretty juiced up with foods and all kinds of boosts.
“I blame Kormir”
No capes because Basically clipping.
Really clipping issues would be too much of a hassle. They have already put in guild armour, backpacks, and two types of guild back banners, as well as guild weapons and a finisher, so displaying your dedication to your guild has kinda already been facilitated.
“I blame Kormir”
They’re definitely aware that these things like GvG are aspects the player population desires (especially GW 1 veterans). They have openly stated that they are not working on these projects at the moment. My guild is massive and it would be a lot of fun to have a epic guild hall to match, but I understand why some of these things aren’t being worked on because they are not high priorities in the functioning of the game.

I respectfully disagree with OPs suggestion. My reasons being it believe it would not only undermine the exploration and movement over the game, but also the game concept and quite unique design aesthetic. Guild Wars 2 is an MMO that intentionally distances itself from other more lets say cartoon like MMO franchises “cough”. In all honesty they would be the equivalent of a Skritt Shinny collectible and maybe a 8 slot bag, I don’t think its worth Anet considering an MMO gimmick like mounts.
As a concession to those who really really want them maybe do a guild rush riding giant siege devourers or armored saurus if they aren’t extinct already.
“I blame Kormir”
The only bad one is the ranger’s. Because it can’t be stopped. It should be stopped by killing or pushing the pet away, but that often won’t stop it. Most of the time, the pet just keeps reviving, and underwater, it always does.
Engineer 2 can be used to interrupt a finisher, and to pull an enemy close enough for the explosion to push them away. It’s not that bad.
All of them have their uses. But the ranger one works too well, despite what the enemy can do.
Shhh that’s almost all us rangers still have going for us these days, wouldn’t be surprised though if Anet decided to “Balance out” our pet skill.

This is pretty much why they put Ascended weapons and armor in game as something to aim for that isn’t as demanding as a legendary . Why would they seriously consider lowering the difficulty threshold for people that playing the game that much. Crafting a legendary is a task that is extremely dificult, and tests the resolve of even the intensely dedicated players. Before committing you should understand what you are getting into. There are many places were blind luck and changes in stuff like trading post can really delay progress, all along the way you will ask yourself if it is worth it. You don’t need to quit the game in protest if you don’t feel its worth it, just continue playing and enjoying the game, you could even try for one in tournament.
There is nothing legendary about buying from the TP and grinding.
Yeah i actually agree with you, I thought he was talking about buying precursor on trading post and actually crafting it, at least that’s what I meant
“I blame Kormir”
So my main is a ranger and basically I’ve Hornets Sting, Quick Shot, and double tap evaded myself into free fall and death many times.
Focusing on levelling and not how to Get Rich in first few months when everything was cheap.
Also not buying gems (with Ingame gold) during head start/ early days or a precursor
“I blame Kormir”
Imagine jumping puzzles. But it’s a definite no from me. It was mostly the entire concept but a little of actually reading through that post

Jungle Worm, Maw and Fire elemental have all gotten a lot tougher over the past year, yet SB remains a relative… friendly creature. He roars, he spawns his little portals, drops some shadow… bits on you, but I don’t think I’ve ever had to revive someone or even heal myself during the event. Considering he’s a world boss, he’s weaker than the champion cave troll or the giant boar which is just… weird.
Yeah it always seems less of an epic battle for the soul of this land, and more like go home SB you’re drunk

I’d like to see something cool there for non-GW one players, as an incentive for everyone to check the place out. Mind you, I’m not saying that unique rewards should be made available to all; that would upset a lot of the veterans. But I’ve been there (and I’ve never played GW 1) just to see what it was like, and I thought it was a really cool, intriguing place, but yes, it’s mostly empty space.
It would be cool if the place was made into a repository of information for those curious about the events of GW1. The ghosts in the front had some interesting info, but not very much of it. I’d like to see more of that. Maybe books/plaques/tablets scattered around that told of Tyrian history? Would be interesting.
Also, get rid of the need for an inventory space filling item to go there. Just allow people to travel there at will after talking to the vendor that sells them.
I made a forum suggestion for Race instances for that races lore and history.
I was thinking that each place or way of representation would be a reflection on that race.
The humans could have a library in divinity’s reach.
The asura could have some sort of holo projections dedicated to their history and exemplary figures or genius.
Sylvari could be instanced back within the dream to converse with others or see glimpses of memory.
Norns seem to have more an Oral tradition so a place with orators and heirlooms and trophies.
The Charr could do honorary and historical arena matches.
just a suggestion for future because I’m someone who really enjoys the depth of lore that surrounds Tyria

Part of the GW1 appeal wasn’t just HoM points for GW2 skins (which lets face it went out of style fairly quickly) and exclusive pets (both GWs), but also having that Visual representation of your achievements and monumental weapons which were hard hours of play to obtain. The feeling of placing a new statue was just, if not more special as your name being announced around the world for favor of the gods.

I think it’s time SB got buffed, it seems to burn down a lot quicker than similar level bosses. This is a nightmare creature from the underworld but goes down it less time than it takes most players to WP and run there.
“I blame Kormir”
The repair cost is a strange alteration because I think the vast majority of players were never to bothered by it. On the forums however I’m sick of seeing real “leet” players complaining because “dying should be PUNISHED”
There will always be bad players around, but instead of being nasty you could always try being patient and helping them (just a thought)
Over a weeks worth of play repair might get to 1g, so what 10 min CoF to make it back
Pretty ineffective gold sink anyway
If they wanted to gold sink change TP instead of out biding or undercutting by 1 copper make it a percentage based on current lowest seller/ highest bidder

if i look at the list and compare the emotes with gw2 i have to cry…
Oh wow! I’d love to see at least some of those in GW2. I’m sure “/pout” would be adorable on female characters.
I see potential for awesome taunts and interactions in WvW
“I blame Kormir”
The one I’m getting over with the no armor repair cost is the leet dungeon and zergers that are like “UNACCEPTABLE!” ( in lemon grab voice ) those who die must be punished, PUNISHED!
Solution if they suck : right click face ‘vote to kick’ > replace
“I blame Kormir”
Yeah if a person is dragging a team down they should be penalised hence The kick player option and group finder function in game for replacing them mid-dungeon.
The change is about not punishing players wallets for playing the game with a practically insubstantial small amount, their armor I assume will still be broken and down penalty will still apply. The repairs cost was more about economy than punishment
Moral of the story: There will always be players who suck or have no clue what they should be doing, so here’s some suggestions to ease your pain, put requirements on LFG posts, or replace people when they suck, or stop assuming everyone should know all this and take a moment to explain it, help them maybe (just a thought)if it is still driving you mad quit playing with pug teams and do guild stuff which is way more friendly and social

I know they have fixed the particle effect recently, but this is about the continuing bug I get with the firing animation ( the drawback and release of tension of the Bow ) in that the bow continues firing after the skill has finished and my character is idle or moving it even when the weapon is stowed. Sometimes is freezes in the drawn position when stowed with the string making a <} across the characters back.

(edited by Phenix Flyer.6724)
When i saw the “No More Repair Costs” i did not understood, i mean:
- They remove the punishment to players when they die.
- Yet they still punish their players with Mad Waypoint costs when we try to help our friends/guildies with their new chars/stories/quests/events….
~understand~ sorry that was bugging me
They are removing the punishment on players wallets for death, but downed penalty and broken armour will, I assume still be there.
As for WP cost they scale with your level and the assumption you’re competent at saving money over time (actually a good life lesson IMO) but anyway it takes 1 to 3 low or average drops to get back that “loss” or 2-3 events
The opportunity cost would add up over an extremely long time however if you are at a higher level you should be able to make it back
It’s like an Orichalcum Mining Pick 4s which you literally Make back in 2 of the 100 swings
Pro tip if you really are dedicated to saving every copper travel though Heart of the mists -> LA (Vigil ) gate -> closest racial city gate -> specific WP,
or walk but I wouldn’t recommend that having run from gates of Arah to the Rata sum
Edit: Also don’t mean to be all “back in my day” but as any GW1 cartographer/ vanquisher will tell you, there wasn’t an entire network of inter map fast travel we had to walk and there were areas that you had no quest related reason for ever visiting so personally I’m happy it’s in the game and don’t mind the charge for the massive convenience

Would also lead to griefing.
How do you want to grief with character collision?

Dungeons are not open world like GW2 told to be. Hard to do and finding Group and solo not playable. So why not open everything to open world where anyone can play like in others games aswell with the open world dungeons.
If I’m understanding you right then, while i support the idea of solo versions I must disagree. There are mini open world dungeons around Tyra, but making the main dungeons open world is counterintuitive. Let me explain if there is a weak player In a 5 man dungeon the 4 reminding have to pick up the slack, if there is more than one the group can fall apart, and it should because the game shouldn’t reward players who don’t deserve it. But let say there was a 20 man dungeon "raid " or whatever obviously harder but the same slack caused by 1 or 2 weak players could be easily spread across the others. The deep in gw1 was a classic example 12 players. If enough survived the initial split then weaker players wouldn’t need to do much after that.
“I blame Kormir”
I would like to suggest further race specific lore through library type systems for each race. His could include unknown, new or external elements to the game that many players won’t be aware of, and are missing the links.
I was thinking that each place or way of representation would be a reflection on that race. The humans could have a library in divinity’s reach.
The asura could have some sort of holo projections dedicated to their history and exemplary figures or genius.

“I blame Kormir”
Agreed, if the first Pokemon games could remember hundreds of nicknames I think GW2 should be able to manage it.
“I blame Kormir”
I had an idea for a new Guild mission type, the Marathon. Say once a player starts, their mode is changed like in a rush. Map travel is obviously suppressed, waypoints along the way are marked for check points but they are a detour from the direct rout and thus can be bypassed.
Make the event reward and medals time based so <30min or so is gold >30 but <40 is silver and so on. I think it would be a great way for people to revisit old areas and really take in and appreciate the amazing design and environments this game has on offer.
Besides Running is an ancient tradition from GW1, L.A to Ascalon, Beacons to Droks Forge
So what do you think? Any additional ideas? Possible routs you think would be ideal?
“I blame Kormir”
I run many recent games on high end graphics without any issue.
Since beta weekends I don’t think I’ve had any crashes, but in the last few patches I’ve been randomly crashing and often- by which I mean a frozen screen and sound stuck- sometimes it has recovered only to crash again in 5 minutes, other times I have been able to Ctrl Alt Delete and end it via task manager, however after doing so I cannot re-log on.
A number of my guild mates have been reporting similar issues, considering I’m in a Guild of near 500, and others in the forums have reported issues I don’t believe the problem to be isolated to my system.
