Mystward revenant’s armor is cool but some people don’t like one-side shoulders. At the same time we have Herald’s shoulders skin which is one side as well. I think it would be cool if Arena.net will create new shoulders skin as a combination of both these shoulders. It should be pretty easy since Mystward’s are left-side and Herald’s are right-side. Just combine both models in 3D editor.
Simple Mystic Forge recipe could be created to get this new skin in game.
Hope someone from devs will take this idea.

Check “VSync” settings in the game and your graphics card driver settings.
I think the problem most people are going to run into is that GW2 isn’t really designed around multi-threaded processing. Effectively our multi-cored CPU’s are only being partially used (like only one core is being used at any given time). This causes your CPU to end up being a bottle neck, even if your CPU is only being 20, 30, 40% utilized at most at any given time.
GW2 has quite fine multi-thread support. Here is my CPU utilization graph attached. Just staing near bank in LA. Maxed quality settings, no VSync, no Frame limiter (since we want max utilization).
Maybe arena net will pull a magic trick here and add dx12 support or something eventually (FFXIV added dx11 support with their recent expansion, because reasons… so it shouldn’t be impossible for anet to optimize things at some point…).
This most likely will never happen. GW2 uses pretty old “updated” DX9 based GW1 engine. It’s only outstanding design makes the game look cool nowadays. Porting things to DX12 requires tons of work for graphics programmers. Moreover, as other MMOs, GW2 is always limited by like “logical” pipeline (meaning CPU part of work) not “graphics”. Sure DX11 and DX12 can offer better CPU usage optimizations but I doubt that real difference worth such time and money investment.
Why is the game running so bad without using all the resources it has available?
I can drop to 40 FPS with around 40% CPU and GPU load, 50% RAM load, 25% VRAM load. So why am I running at 40 FPS? I don’t get it. The game has access to lots more power from my PC, and I’m running it at such a kittenty frame rate.
My specs are:
CPU: Intel i7-6700k
GPU: nVidia GTX 980
RAM: 16GB DDR4
Windows 8.1
1) 40 FPS is pretty good performance for massive events with lots of ppl running around (WvW, world bosses fights e.t.c.). You CPU is a bottleneck here. Yes, you’ve read it right Your world fastest gaming CPU is still a bottleneck in MMO games (tbh, it’s actually not the fastest CPU, Core i7-5775C is a bit faster in games due to L4 cache).
2) The game as well as any other app can’t use all the resources of your PC just because it doesn’t need all of them. Even if you have 24 GB extra free RAM it doesn’t mean that the game will consume it all. The game uses as much RAM as it needs.
3) Your CPU is 4 cores/8 threads. The game can’t use all 8 available threads. It usually uses 4 or 5. Windows automatically distributes various work between all available cores. Also it avoids keeping one core to be loaded near 100% while rest of the cores do nothing. Therefore, for multi-threaded application 80% single core load is quite fine.
I’ll tell you now that standard cinema films are recorded at 24 frames per second.
You must be kidding mate. Cinema and PC game are COMPLETELY different things. Come on, just try to play the game at 24 FPS. You will see the difference.

Well I downloaded the client and put it in the GW2 directory and ran it…
I have no idea what to do now. There isn’t any error code or anything, windows just says no
You most likely use 32 bit Windows version. It can’t run 64 bit software.

Please revert the shoulders’ size back to the previous state. It was just awesome before the patch.
These ascended armors look really terrible facepalm. Yeah, some pieces are ok but the overall look is terrible. For example – the proportions of heavy armor set on human male is quite unbalanced. The chest/helm has much less details than the pants/boots/gloves.
The shoulders’ size is too small and… again… different left and right shoulders??!
We just want normal cool looking armor skins… These are fail.
P.S. HoM Heritage heavy armor skin was almost perfect skin in the game for me before the Feb update where the shoulders size was dramatically increase for some reason. Now the shoulders look quite ugly and despite the fact that the issue was reported many times, Anet keeps ignoring the issue. Now I see what they are busy with…

Bloodstone shard is the only SOULBOUND legendary component. I can’t be on alts.

Incinerator’s weapon stats used to be the same as other legendaries, which was either 994 – 1,000 or 1,000 – 1,062. But now it’s 924 – 981.
Legendary stats = exotic stats.
It will be boosted to ascended stats in the future. No ascended weapons present in the game yet.
Legendary stats were boosted in November by mistake and reverted back to exotic stats shortly after that.
So legendary weapon will never have an advantage in terms of damage. It’s only a skin.
You can always buy/farm/craft 1000x times cheaper weapon with the same stats as legendary.
It’s not a bug. It’s nerf.
You can open WvW JP chests once per day now.

No, it wasn’t. ANet just doesn’t want to provide an updated information to us because they don’t want to affect the precursor market.
I think SH will be ready in next few months.

It can’t be contested 24/7. Make sure you aren’t on an overflow server while checking CoF WP.
After that you may as well wait for scavenger hunt.
There is a development plan.
There is a list of bugs that should be fixed.
There are always some critical bugs that require devs attention before the entire queue.
There is a bug with account medal for Twilight/Sunrise.
It has some number in queue.
It will be fixed in its turn. Because it DOESN’T affect your gameplay experience.
That’s it.

Game development isn’t easy thing. Sure it’s minor bug and it could be fixed easealy.
But there is a queue of more important issues devs are working on.

No. There was a post few days ago from a guy who did that.
For now you can’t use transmutated Twilight/Sunrise to craft Eternity.

There are a lot of more critical issues around.
The only way to get your chars is by guesting. You need to guest other server with working Queensdale and move your characters to different zone. Than come back to your home server. I know that Desolation Metrica province is not working and Seafarer’s Rest Queensdale has the same problem. I don’t know if there are more servers with zones like that

Go to the Mists and check your equipped PvP armor. It’s almost 100% chance you have rune of the soldier there.
You can’t salvage purchased from vendors white items anymore.
There is to problem with salvaging white items dropped by monsters.

Does it mean that transmutated legendary is now real legendary not just an exotic with specific label and name?
Why have you called Twilight and Sunrise “precursors”? Thay aren’t precursors. They are legendaries.

This is 6 months old bug. Twilight and Sunrise doesn’t give you the medal.

OMG i just transmuted my tooth of frostfang to berserker stats =(. So basically I cant uses this towards the legendary until they patch it?

Technically it’s not a bug. Transmutation makes a new item. So transmutated Sunrise/Twilight/e.t.c. is no longer Sunrise/Twilight/e.t.c. It’s also no longer legendary in fact.
The same for precursors.
I hope devs will fix it someday.
Nobody can say for sure man.
Example: Twilight + 1 mystic coin + 1 skill point crystal + 1 vial of powerful blood= Twilight with beserker stats.
Swap out the blood for an armored scale to get knights stats, ect, ect.

Well, giant patch, still no legendary achievment in my character select screen
This is low priority issue. In fact it is because it only affects your character selection screen.
There were official response. It was like that: you are almost invulnerable if fighting 3+ mobs at the same time
So they desided to add internal CD.
No words… So many armor bugs were introduced… And still no official comment on the issue.

Has the issue been addressed in Feb. 26 patch?
I did like 20+ runs with 2 my characters. All in 10+ fractals. Never see a single Glob drop… So constantly getting 2-3 globs per run seems pretty crazy for me. Something is definitely wrong with RNG in the game.
I’m using 2 Sup. Runes of Monk and Water in my build. Everything works fine for me.
February patch is coming in less than 10 days.
Can someone from ANet provide us with status update?

The previous issue with transmuting Legendary items has been resolved. When a Legendary item is transmuted, it will retain its Legendary label. However, no details have been announced about how the modification/upgrade of stats will affect already transmuted Legendary items. So we’d be unable to say just how, if at all, your item would be affected by this. When more information emerges, it would be posted at the website (https://www.guildwars2.com/en/) and forums (https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum).
