I haven’t had any issues with it, I’m used to launch it through Steam for a while now and it hasn’t caused any crashes so far. Are you sure that Steam overlay is the culprit?

The game runs fine when playing without the steam overlay…. I dono which is the culprit.. but just looking for possible solutions

I last played Guild Wars 2 like 4 months before, that time steam overlay was working perfectly. (mainly use fr chatting with friends) .. Now I played the game again today and the game crashes in loading screen if I launch through steam. Its working perfectly when launching directly. Any way to solve this ?

Why do they keep changing the things that are good !! now I cant exchange my gold for < 400 gems !! They have written in patch notes that fixed exchange amount will remove confusion , but this is total crap.. Please Anet don’t do this !! Pls revert back to custom exchange amounts

Hi guys , so lately I have been partying with many friends inside game so thought of using TeamSpeak 3 for communication instead of typing !! . I connected to the GW2 Community free teamspeak server, but I don’t know how to setup a room with my party mates and start talking. Can someone who is familiar with this help ?

Hi guys, i have been playing Gw2 for 3 months or so.. I really did not know about the servers and stuff when i started the game so i selected Whiteside Ridge EU server.. but now I feel sad for that because very few play WvW there.. so I am looking to transfer to any other EU server, which will be good for WvW.. cost doesnt matter and also if there are no queues for WvW it would be good. Any suggestions please ??

previously we used to get 1 skill point per level. now its 7 skill point given at end of every 7th level !!! lame

that’s ok the loot tables , other stuff.. i am just complaining about the september feature pack.. they introduce leveling as reward and give this reward !! ?? lol its making me laugh only

I have salvaged like > 500 items.. and then I get a basic salvage kit as reward for level 38 ?? Is this really a reward or is Arenanet making fun of us !! ??

Its good to see a player same as in my shoes.. i also played dark souls 1 , dark souls 2.. and started GW2 before one month. I havent been much into PVP and WvW though.. Have went only a couple of times.

I mainly play a thief . I focus on power and condition damage for weapons. For armor I go for vit and toughness. Its more like a overtime damage build. Of the 3 skills i choose 1 poison, 1 blindness , 1 mobility.. With the steal ability and shadowstep thieves are well mobile and difficult to catch. Same goes for traits , ya I too had difficult time in understanding it , but then got hold and learned to do various builds with it.

I saw a video from dreamy abaddon which taught me the 3 aspects of gw2 combat – damage (straight damage),control(crippling,poison and other effects),support(buff to ourselves, heal etc) . I try to follow my playstyle according to it and have worked well so far :)

are this

• trait unlocks?
• skillpoints on a map for world complete?
• skill BUYS for skillpoints?

Traits unlock at

Level 30 – adept traits
Level 60 – master traits
Level 80 – grandmaster traits

and , you cant buy skillpoints anywhere , you should complete the skill challenges in map to get.. also you will be given skill point when levelling up. and yes skill point thingies do count for world completion , and it should be seperately completed for each character

today’s patch will smooth the crappy experience for you a lot

Got up today morning and when I saw the filecount 600 , surely I knew it was not minor bugs.. Saw the release notes and happy that Anet have done some changes, which in the past days we all complained about.. Especially the account wide unlocks means already veteran players wont have much bad time playing alt character. Also thanks for reducing the level gates on skills, F1 skills..

So , I am playing a Norn currently, also have played a charr. There are levelled area progression specific to norn race like wayfarer-snowden-lornar pass-dredgehaunt cliffs-frostgorge sound. This seems to be same in case of Charr mostly. These two races have like racial specific area atleast until a certain level. But do the Asura , Humans and Sylvari also have same racial specific areas ? , from what I see in map right after the starting areas those 3 have like common areas.. Is it like this ?

Ya I also experienced the same in wayfarer foot hills , there are no nodes in the starting area (non-snow covered), i was able to see the nodes only around the frozen maw area.

You can find it elsewhere for free, but it’s not a free font, and I see some pretty obvious copyright violations going on.

Thia , still personal story is good and fun to play. we cant say its totally not worth playing the personal story , we just cant play whenever we want which is very bad.

i dont think taking a break will be good bro. because whenever you come its gonna be like this, so instead , js make up ur mind play and level up fast to > 20 then you can enjoy the game

Now your personal story unlocks only during the levels 10,20,30 etc. If you had been in middle of the personal story before , it will be moved. eg if you were in 25 with uncompleted personal story , it will be moved to 30

Yes the resource nodes have been removed , i think you will be able to access crafting only on level 12 , so may be then you can see the vendor

It seems trading posts will unlock now only in the level 17. I doubt you will not be able to see the trading posts even in cities until then

Ok , now lets assume that the new player experience system, level gating system etc is only going to affect new players as Anet says , and it ll be okay once we cross level 15 or so…

But why did they mess up with the personal story system !! ??? It affects every single player out there.. One of the best things i liked abt the game was that , when we want some change from exploring we can do personal story , and it will be real fun. But now we have to do like grinding till we reach 20,30 etc and then only personal stories will come ??. Wat is even the use of that , if we play a personal story with low level and die we are gonna learn tht we need more level and come back at higher levels. Wat is even point in changing that. The awesome point of the game was freedom to do anything we want at any time, and Anet is surely taking that away from us !!!

First of all , Anet doesnt even care to list the new level gates for each skill slot, mechanics in the update release notes ??!! Thank you Anet for that.

So guys , i have been going through forum but couldnt find a single clear answer. So after this level gating,
At what levels did the Professional Mechanics slot (F1-F4) unlocked before the patch and at what levels do they unlock now ??

This is very common problem these days.. I dono if its ISP problem or ArenaNet’s problem , but hope they will fix it soon.. i also have this occassionally , some times 6112 wont work .. use the “-clientport 80” launch option , this will connect game to 80 instead of 6112 and you will be able to play smooth, if you are still playing the game.

i was able to play the game smoothly without any network issues till now , but suddenly it got disconnected and when i try to login from the client i am getting some error numbered “42:1000:7…” . I ran the guild wars 2 diag using the command line option -diag , and it says that connectivity to server failed. How to fix this ?

Hello all , first of all i am new to this game and I love it so much. I am happy that i bought the game atleast now..

This is my first MMORPG , i have only player single player and multiplayer games that conventionally follow the keyboard to move and mouse to attack style. And this game clearly cant be played in that way.

I find it very difficult to keep moving and attack/use skill at same time. Also i find it very difficult to quickly place AOE skills. If any1 could tell me a good set of key bindings so that i can move and fight easily it would be very gr8. I am currently using the default ones with the double tap to evade enabled . Also please tell me what kind of assists i should turn on in the settings.
