Race change! please for the love of god

Hello guys,
when I started playing I didn’t know anything about the game and chose Asura because they looked funny. Today I regret that choice so much that I just do not want to play anymore. After 3 years of playing this game I like Norn so much more, the Animations, the Voice and co…. And I would LOVE to change my Asura to a Norn, I would buy the game again if that was necessary.
What is the reason race change is not being implemented?

Hide Weapons. Hide damage numbers

Please, add an option to hide weapons. Similar to hiding head or back items. I appreciate your artists hard work, but adding this option may go a long way towards satisfying certain players own visions of what their characters should be.

Also, please, add an option to hide damage numbers. Perhaps I have overlooked it but I cannot find this option. This would aid in immersion during PvE play.

Thank you for considering these suggestions!

Same with the upgraded versions of the other Halloween items (High Quality Plastic Fangs, Gibbering Skulls, Tyria’s Best Nougat Centers) as well. In fact, even more so for them, since Corn Cobs are possible to get, just annoying and grindy, but possible. The other upgraded items are even harder, and probably won’t be possible within the allotted time without heavy reliance on the Trading Post.

¿Fun with the Clock Tower?

You must be kidding. Its the most frustrating, infuriating and depressing thing that I played since the old plataforming games.

The title with what is needed to get it is obviously a reference to the emperors new clothes. This is not the empress’ new clothes. It has nothing to do with being sexist or anything. Why are people all kitten about this. Know and accept where the titles come from.

Race change item in the gem store???

This topic has been discussed very often already and yet I don’t really see how the personal story is a complication; I would guess it’s troublesome because people who would change their race couldn’t go through the individual racial story, but I also think that people who want to change their race are not doing this because of the personal story but rather because of aesthetic reasons as their race doesn’t really fit their class (own opinion).
I’m finding myself in exactly that situation; I bought GW2 as soon as it was released an the first thing i made was my Charr Thief. At first i didn’t really care about its looks but know I think a Human or Sylvari Thief would look so much more awesome and it actually kind of ruins my gameplay experience. I truly love the game but my Charr Thief has some really nice and expensive Equipment and i don’t want to redo everything. The introduction of a Race-Change Kit would be appreciated by a lot of other players as well and I think that a lot of these players would be willing to pay for that…

This is a great idea! I support this.
I am stuck in the same situation that you are. I have a couple of friends that want to play with me (and my other friends), but Tarnished Coast is always full.

We are pretty awesome. A friend of mine got his girlfriend into the game, but she ended up starting on a different server cause she couldn’t join us.

Forget this queue thing, just give Tarnished Coast more server space cause we’re so cool.

Remove the WvW Maps from World Completion

in Suggestions

ChaosCrazed.6415

Title says it- I believe WvW maps should not count toward World Completion.

- Having these in the requirement is an artificial, dull extension: Want to get the Red borderlands done? Better hope your server is either owning the match-up, zerging around like mad, or red team! Need the bottom left corner of the Eternal Battlegrounds? Same applies. If your server is inconsistent in its performance or simply lacks performance, good luck ever getting the maps done. Waiting for weeks to have a chance at being the team you need to have a favorable chance at places to complete is NOT fun.

- The requirement degrades the WvW experience: As there are only so many players allowed per server team on at any given time, having that quota filled with uninterested PvE players hampers any sense of coordination from more dedicated groups, trying to encourage these players to fit in with their strategies and hopefully win. I frequently see anti-PvE player jeering in the map and team chats – it’s quite apparent to me that PvE players aren’t wanted, but have to come.

- The requirement can put WvW in a negative light for potential new players : I can see a line of thought where this requirement would encourage WvW participation in concept, but in reality solo / small groups of PvE players are just ganked by the hordes or an unlucky run-in with enemies, all too frequently, and very frustratingly. This frustration discourages participating in WvW by painting it in the light of “good luck not getting ganked, lol”.

- The WvW maps are not part of the ‘World’ : Lore-wise, the maps are located in the Mists, NOT in Tyria, as the bulk of the game is. Tyria is the world we are tasked with completing, with the mists as a mysterious afterlife / alternate dimension. Part of the universe, but NOT part of the world. Mechanically, the WvW zones and ‘main’ zones are not on the same map, either.

I solve practical problems.
F’rinstance, how am I going to stop some big mean mother Charr from downing me?
The answer… use a turret. And if that don’t work.. use more turrets.

Norn Animal-Spirit Town Clothes

Okay, let me kick out one or two possible Costume Brawl skills for each set of Cultural Town Clothes:

NORN
~ Bear: Bear-Hug (damage + immobilization)
~ Wolf: Summon Wolfpack (quick zip in-and-out of 2-4 wolves)
~ Snow Leopard: Leap (damage+ knockdown)
~ Raven: Swarm (mad flapping, feathers all over, damage + blind)

HUMAN
~ Dwayna: Heal (regain a hitpoint; with appropriate cooldown)
~ Grenth: Spread Disease (AoE damage cloud centered around player)
~ Balthazar: Raining Daggers (A hail of daggers falls from the sky)
~ Melandru: Critter Assault (A small herd of bunnies, raccoons, etc. rush through for a quick nibble)
~ Lyssa: Mirrored Beauty (create a clone of yourself that makes an attack or 2 on an opponent adjacent to its point of creation)
~ Kormir: Justice is Served! (a couple seconds of retaliation)

ASURA
~ College of Statics: Golem Bomb (similar to the Golem-In-A-Box: http://www.gw2db.com/items/21716-golem-in-a-box)
~ College of Dynamics: Deploy Mallet and Deploy Boxing Glove (just like in the cartoons! Go-Go-Gadget!)
~ College of Synergetics: Ion Storm (swirling AoE aura for damage and stun)

SYLVARI
Cycle of Dawn: Sunrise (burst of light centered on player, blinds nearby opponents)
Cycle of Noon: Warmth (Restore a point of health with appropriate cooldown)
Cycle of Dusk: Night Falls (brief invisibility to other brawlers only! Onlookers would see the translucency effect.)
Cycle of Night: Lunacy (Image of the moon appears over target area of effect. Opponents take 2 hitpoints of damage per strike instead of one while inside).

CHARR
Iron Legion: Tanks a Lot (“Steamroll” straight ahead causing knockback along your path and leaving a tank-tread print on the ground)
Blood Legion: Berserker (Strike all adjacent enemies)
Ash Legion: Sneak Attack (Short range teleport, swing weapon at exit point, and teleport back to origin. Appropriate cooldown time.)

There ya go. It’s a start. Considering I know very little about Costume Brawl, what are your thoughts?

Norn Animal-Spirit Town Clothes

Coming into the game from GW1, I expected the Norn to be shape-shifters. Instead, their spirit form lasts what… 30 seconds, with 4 minutes of cooldown? The result of that terrible ratio is that I almost never see any player character Norns use those skills.

How about some Norn-character-only TOWN CLOTHES that let them appear as their spirit animal whenever they wish? (One-piece, like the Pirate uniform. The models are already in place, and we want to make it easy on the artists so that this idea has a chance of being implemented. No Aviators on that werewolf, please!) I suggest mailing each Norn a free set of Animal Spirit Town Clothes based on their personal spirit they chose at character creation.

…Maybe even a Costume Brawl skill set?
