You can spend money at the trainers to unlock them.
I saw that, but in this article it said, “though some can also be bought from profession trainers.”.
The word “some” concerned me. If it’s all traits, I’m cool with that..as long as it’s not crazy expensive; but I bet it will be very expensive.
Very true ^^

Yeah, I got a fractal staff and it wasn’t a skin either. I already had 5 skins in the bank preupdate – is that another that won’t be made into a skin? :<
Definitely something that should be added, been requested for quite a long time too
Heya,
First thing I wanna say is that if I have put this in the wrong section please forgive my ignorance but I thought this section was the most appropriate;
I currently have 5/6 pieces of the Medium PvP Orrian Armour. I got everything but the Greaves after a few goes (only 1 piece was on the first attempt). I have tried 20+ times to get the Orrian Greaves from the Mystic Forge with no success. I keep on getting either the Inquest Boots or the Guild Boots instead.
Is this a bug? Before you say it, I know it is pure RNG but I feel that this is broken. If anyone has got the medium boots recently, how many tries did it take you?
(FYI I am using the Medium Boots Token + Paid Tournament Token + Arcane Powder + Arcane Slivers recipe in the forge)
Jeffrey, I couldn’t agree with you more. I would’ve thought that nearly all experienced gamers would know by now that people will always find some obscure or even delusional reason to whine about a certain aspect of the game. At the end of the day, if you want the shiny shiny greatsword of dazzling lights or even just hard earned gold; you have to invest an amount of time working towards it.
Arenanet has stated a vision and a long term goal for sPVP. They want it to be an popular e-sport and bring media attention and prestige to the company and the game, hence devs and marketing staff working overtime on many fronts in that area.
WvW, according to Arenanet is done, baked, finished. There is no grand long term plan or goal for WvW beyond polishing what exists. A few tweaks here, a few cosmetic changes there and maybe in the long term a new map or map revision is all I am aware of.
If anything I will bet there is internal resentment at the company that such a large percentage of the player base ignores much of their sPVP and PVE flufftent while spending most of their time in WvW.
Couldn’t agree more. It seems in an effort to try and develop a section of the game which, initially at release, was not doing too well – they are neglecting a very stable section of the game.
In terms of content updates to the game in general, I really like what ArenaNet is doing as a whole. Despite this – spectator mode, removal of culling and a proper progression system in both sPvP and WvW should’ve been in at launch and calling it a “major update” is not really justified (at least in my opinion).
It says under my “Activities” tab that I have defeated 5/6 of the masters.
When I go to Poyaqui I cannot initiate the last game though? Is it some sort of bug or am I missing something obvious?
EDIT: For future reference to anyone who gets this bug, I have found out that I needed to bring the character that beat Irongut in order to fight Poyaqui. Bringing any other characters (even if they beat the earlier opponents) will not allow you to fight him.

I don’t know if you’ll read this but if you do -
It’s really refreshing to have a member of a company/team reply so often and with great clarity to issues that players have. After dealing with some awful companies over my gaming years, it’s truly a great thing to know that there is at least one forum mod in the entire gaming community who replies like an actual human.
Keep up the good work

Just to confirm: Gandaran players are experiencing disconnecting and/or crashing whenever they waypoint to Garrison on Gandara Borderlands.
Whenever I walk into GG or waypoint there, at least for me, I immediately crash and receive an error report.
But since ANet has reduced Simin’s regen sensibly, I think I can safely say they are trying to part from dungeon setups that require a certain group composition, as this is against their initial idea that you could run dungeons with 5 character of the same class, of any class, provided they knew how to play.
100% agree
Also, it’s been aknowledged by the Devs this is indeed a bug:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/dungeons/Simin-is-a-DPS-check/1649696So please don’t try and teach how to do Simin because that is off-topic.
That wasn’t my intention, sorry if I offended you
I’m not suggesting that it’s working perfectly. Nor did I suggest that there isn’t a bug. Without trying to cause offense, it’s not impossible. The guide on the forums for Arah P4 (which has been stickied btw) has a group setup of I think 1 mesmer, 1 guardian and 3 warriors.
Both times I’ve killed Simin I had a Mesmer in my group and 2 warriors. Like Iehova said, your workaround is more DPS and I would suggest a Mesmer if you haven’t got one.

The boss doesn’t reappear after only putting one spark in. You have to kite them all in as usual ;C
I’ve killed Simin twice now (after nerf) so I’m not talking nonsense.
There are phases to the fight. The first phase is where she disappears at 50% regardless of any DPS. Second phase is where she goes invisible after a set amount of time. There are no indicators unfortunately as to what phase she is in.
Also, did you have a Mesmer in your group? Time-warp is a lifesaver on that fight. I’ve only managed to kill her because of a well placed TW by the group Mesmer.
4-1 method doesn’t work since the latest patch ;/
Thanks for the fights in EB VII, jeez you guys are good at group movement!
XxX had about 25-30 people on at 21:10GMT in EB. We also saw you VII, good fights!
Good luck and have fun all, I know I will
Still bugged on Gandara [EU]
