Just curious if it would maybe be possible to change the name of this skill? Its sounds odd to smash into a 50 man blob yelling retreat.
Im sure this community could come up with a better name.

Maybe: “Into the Breach!” “Charge!” “Double Time!” “Forward!” anything but “Retreat”.
Just a thought.

Agreed that GW2 has some of the better combat from MMO’s but tbh it pales against Neverwinters combat and DCUO’s imho.

I dont see a problem with mounts. Im not sure why everyone is so against them. If it makes people happy then put in mounts. I dont think they are needed but Im only one out of thousands.
ALso, it would help ANet increase revenue stream so they can make this game worth playing again.

Also with player housing it would give Anet more op to make more money.
DCUO has it to where you can buy teleporters, AH, Crafting Tables etc.
It would help them increase revenue.
And give players something to show off. Hell, take a page from DDO even and have guild airships.
The possibilities are endless if they would just would. I’ve stopped playing this game but still keep an eye on it hoping they will do something new to make it worth coming back. So far no dice.

Im sure you will be able to buy them on the Gem Store soon.

Love this in WvW and on a side note there’s nothing like using the head to this tune also. Really starts the day off right.

HoD fell out of T1 a month after release, when much of Titan Alliance left the game. The only relevant experience left now will be the people who just transferred down a couple weeks ago.

Again, another person missing the point. I am simply asking if people would please quit dismissing HoD as a terrible WvW server when they are getting slapped in the face by us.

Well, we’re only getting “slapped in the face” by HoD because of numbers not really because of any superior tactics. Only a few guilds on the server seem to be using any, the rest are just taking advantage of being able to go to multiple BLs and do damage by force.

I would not be surprised if HoD takes Silver. The round the clock numbers they have may just be the edge needed to win over FA. Even if you guys are not queuing maps, the fact remains that you have enough people to field good numbers in all 4 BLs. This is not something YB can do. When it is not reset, the only time we have a queue is when something big is going on either defensively or offensively. Unfortunately that queue means the other maps have the outnumbered buff.

Hey, topic is typical ‘bleh look at me my words matter’ but I figure this is the place to throw a GG out to the players involved in that 3 server battle at SMC earlier today. We bannered Lord at least 3 or 4 times. I got to know some new people on my repeated runs back from the Keep too. I’ve never seen a fight go that long, it was at least an hour maybe closer to two. It was epic.

GG indeed. Thats happened a few times already. At one point my hand was cramping the fighting went on so long.

They havent imploded they are fighting hard just as we are and Yaks are. Its brutal, Theres 40-60 man zerg’s everywhere.
Our pver’s seem to have gotten their achievements thank god and our more experienced wvwer’s arent stuck in a huge queue.
Its an awesome battle all the way around. Im enjoying it. So dont dis FA or YAk’s we are all doing the best we can against what we are fighting. It’s easy to sit in the forums and make assumptions but until you are there you really have no idea how things are.

Wouldnt just giving them(mobs) more toughness and less vitality make condi’s viable in PVE?

It was requested, even though I don’t have a screenshot, for queue numbers on reset night. On HoD, we had 220 for EB, and a little over 100 for each borderland.

In HOD we had more people in que than we used to have in WvW.

HOD WVW has gotten a huge boost.

this is not surprising. HoD is the highest-ranked NA server (#13) with free transfers. many players would have no reason to transfer to a lower-ranked server. lower ranked servers have fewer players, and earn fewer rewards.

Remeber when we were matched up together with CD and the huge CD blobs running around? Thats us now. Its not so much playing as karma training now. I have mixed feeling about it tbh.

With all the transfers we’ve had to HOD, CD and SF is getting pounded by us, so its very possible NSP will bypass CD this week.

I wish their was a trait, in the Wxp lines, that would maybe increase the range of your skills while in towers or keeps. Say by 200 or 300 so that you dont have to stand on the edge to bomb the assaulters.
Granted that would prolly be OP with sup AC being what they are and all but with Omega rush the defenders do need a certain advantage imho.

The bad thing about this is that I cant hunt down and kill Mustache anymore. Other than, look forward to having you guys.

HOD has added, VLK and TOH to the ranks. Also, we’ve been matched up with CD for 3 weeks now and I see alot of DNA in their blobs.

Henge of Denravi active WVW guilds are: WAR, FKB, CH, Pugs, Obey, Orr, FAil, PHZE, TVC and TAA.

You can use FB/FGS and use S/f. And even use arcane shield. Switch them out after the stack.
Its really not as much trouble as you might think.
I use BL and Force runes. On my staff a I use a perception rune. Like I said, just use the right/ the tool that feels good to you. DOnt let all these forum elitist pigeonhole you. Ive danced over many of their corspes in wvw, pvp and even pve.

Go s/f and it wont matter either way.

Running 2300 armor, works with staff and especially with s/f. Obsidian Skin is your friend when the poo hits the fan.

Im a staff Ele, too. But I also carry a scepter and focus for such situations. If you pigeonhole yourself into one weapon then you will die.

I’ve been reading and there is a one shot kill hack, that now that I think about it has happened to me many times. Usually by warriors. So, that’s what I’m thinking now. This punk hacked.

Im not so naive to think there arent hacks like that but these types of accusations without proof are the reason I left FPS games.
In BF 3, BF 2, BF 1942, etc, not only was I accused of hacking but people that I personally knew that didnt hack were accused as well.
Its seems to me, that players arent willing to accept that people may be better than them and use this as a crutch to massage their ego.

To be fair, there has been an extremely vast amount of players using this exploit. Not only does it take you out. It bypasses the need for stomping. Quit literally you are running along at full health one second, and the next second, you are dead. Not downed, but dead. The worst part is, they do not even have a manner to report players directly for this type of action, or such actions as seeking out glitched map areas that register you as invulnerable, but you can report someone for harsh language.

TBH, its more of a practice thing because I thought the same thing when I first started using my SD build.
’Course if they want it to home in on my target, Im not gonna complain a bit.

This what I run. I solo or small group roam and really only have probs if its greater than 3 or more against me. Its easy to tag for bags etc. Course besides SD and at least 20 in tools the rest is up to you. This is just the skills etc that Ive grown comfortable with. Im sure the you can min/max better but to me, I play with I feel comfortable with, not what the general consensus may be.
It is worth noting tho, that I do research the pros/cons of each gadget/skill to get an idea of the limitations.

Agreed. Ive gotten so used to this tho, that I can time it pretty well. With AW and AB, I seem to do ok now with BF’s and I only run staff.

Still needs a bit of work but he’s an alt, he will get there.

Same, I have a 80 ele and a guard thats 70 and I dont seem to have that problem. I dont understand the mechanics or something.

I get immense aggro, Ive googled it and there seems to be a discrepancy when it comes to aggro thought.
Do your engy’s get alot of aggro and if so, do you know why? I run SD/rifle with berserker armor and valkyrie trinkets if that helps.

The Power Shoes are purely decadence but those along with the swiftness and vigor make me very mobile in combat. The rocket boots help me maintain that mobility.
