So, I assume this means because YB has a few dedicated players that spend hours upon hours in WvW which would also assume they would also gain ranks at the same time doing things in WvW makes them highly populated but on the same level having servers that have lots of players spending a hour or so on WvW but not gaining ranks because they are not in long enough makes them underpopulated in your algorithm.
Does this not penalise a server for having dedicated WvW players?

So in theory, similar to a post above a server could have 500 players dedicated spending hours in WvW and then a server have 1000 players doing just a couple of hours, but the server with 500 gets locked.

Is it just me or is the alt-F4 being used more than ever when you are about to stomp a downie in WvW, yes you still get the kill and the odd drop, but surely Anet can come up with a penalty for players that continuously do it.
Had the same player, a necro from NSP in the space of 10 minutes, 3 times do it. there should be a time ban which increases the amount of time the player does it.

Yes I am from YB and will be taking a break as well.

I have seen Anet employee symbols in WvW the last month or so and they know how imbalanced the server WvW population is but yet implement more stupid things to create a more imbalanced population and benefit servers with high populations (door nerf etc, I know we’ll lower dmg % so 60 man blob can take it down in 2 mins without siege, yeah that’ll help).

Why should I, as a player spend hours in a game variation knowing all my and my fellow players hard work is going to be outdone by a mass blob time and time again with nothing to defend against it and no nothing should be in destructive or not able to be capped, people hark on about siege and yes YB is known for its defensive capabilities with siege but in the current state of game they are pretty much useless as any player in WvW knows they can be taken down by Ele unless they are 10ft inside a keep/tower.

LMAO don’t know why everyone keeps on about YB and siege, EVERY server does it, plus AC’s are pretty much useless seeing as Ele’s can take them down nearly 10ft inside keeps

Link will be deleted first to protect griefers privacy at all costs, Anet does not care about players spending hours of their own time and money in WvW then allows this to happen week after week, this scumbag has been reported to them with proof many times, but his privacy comes first.
I’d prefer they notify the people that reported him to show up at a certain time in WvW, say in Obsidian Sanctum fighting arena, put this character in the middle and then strip him bare then Ballista him to death n delete his account…… alas we can always dream…….

I voted NO, i’m on YB, the way I see it, stacked servers just got stacked even more.
WvW probably improved due to re-introducing the old BL’s.
It’s not just YB that has the problem, i’m sure there are other servers, who come in WvW day in day out to just to see [outmanned] 24/7 on some maps and seeing daily blobs of up to 50 mindless press 1,1,1,1, heal, 1,1,1,1 and sometimes x2 50 man blobs on the same map.
As said in previous posts above this just makes players leave WvW, as why bother to put 6-8 hours helping keep things running when knowing other servers have probably twice the WvW population.

Arenanet needs to come up with some other way to balance the servers.

Hi, we all know TC needs all the help they can get, but really, having Arenanet come in and claim camps for them (see mini map).

Anet will never divulge the official server population status on any server, as this would show how imbalanced they are towards certain servers in WvW.
Of course, would come the %pop only do PvE so therefore have low WvW %pop even though the servers appear to be full.

All of YB is getting kicked constantly while BG sits on the map untouched.

Um no, it’s everyone.

It’s not just being DC’d because sentry are going to neutral status every time.

You will find that BG have not been kicked out of YBBL or EBG during these disconnects…….

Get ya act together Anet, only certain servers getting kicked continually kicked in WvW allowing others servers to take advantage………..

Soooo much greed…..would have been better for ANET to actually give a couple of these out for free then charge for any extra you wanted, but its all about money…whether your rich or poor ANET wants it all……

Probably been asked before as there is never enough space/inventory bag slots for what Anet keeps throwing at us with different Keys/chest opening items and now collections/trophies.

Could there not be a wallet inclusion for keeping keys/chest opening items in there making them available to any character logged in rather than having to put in bank then take out of bank for use on another character.
Also trophy items for collections, once placed in a collection they could disappear from inventory like Mini’s do, this would make life so much easier and yes it probably is being idle but it would save time…….

Nice to see they are bringing more upgraded version of the salvage-o-matic machines. but as a player who brought the copper fed salvage-o-matic, I am not impressed, there should be a way, to be able to upgrade the copper to silver. Rather than have to pay out more gems to get another upgraded version of an item we already own. There could be a mystic toilet recipe to upgrade the item.

This definitely has my thumbs up….Make them account bound at least……… I play the mystic toilet a lot and must have sold hundreds of runes that I simply can not use on the char that plays the toilet at the time.

Many a time as a Yak’s bend player, I have seen enemy players place an AC right up against the wall of a tower of castle and fire not just along the top but to the back of the tower.

It’s nice getting a back dated achievement chest for past achievements but come on you get a PvP achievement chest inside, double click to open and then gives you five pieces of PvP gear that my profession cant use but then I thought I can use on my other chars in PvP but oh wait you SOULBIND them to the char that opens chest.
Great! decent gear, cant use, so a useless chest to be given!!

It Seems that the Danelon Supply camp is bugged, it is not sending supply yaks to Quentin Lake, therefore Yaks Bend are at disadvantagem as we can not up’grade Quentin Lake making it easy the enemy to take.

My question about MF is this I start in say cursed shore fully kitted out with MF armour plus trinkets and MF stand at 108%, kill for stack of luck increases to say 124% then after a short while I look at my MF bonus and its dropped to 89% even though I have not died or been downed, why is this happening>

I suppose it also equates to how many dyes you actually open, I was spending above 15g a week buying unid dyes,
I have since been going to unid dyes anonymous (UDA) and have cut down on the amount now days lol

Thank you for your words mercury, but you have already seen that there are numerous people having connection issues at the moment. but adding a last point of view that it may be the persons internet connection and not ANET’s fault only stokes the fire a bit more. Yes people are frustrated about this, as it is happening more and more and mostly at weekends, when people have more time to play.

If the mods feel that this thread is inappropriate then they will deal with it

Can you please, have a look at a guild members ticket. It has been 3 days. He is a 6 1/2 years veteran GW1 player, full HoM, he has been in our guild throughout GW1 and GW2, all he was doing was completing his weapon mastery at the same spot and most probably your bot algorythm kicked in, he has certainly never used any third party progams (you only have to look at his history in game). On another note, Why have these achievements in place, if you have the chance of getting banned for botting by killing the same npc’s over and over again because they spawn time is faster in places than anywhere else on cetain maps.
Please review this case, as he has now been locked of the support email system. I am sure, I have read somewhere on these forums that support and game are not supposed linked, obviously this is not the case.
I would gladly convey any meassages as at present as he is unable to log in to see any progress.

Dont worry it’s not the first time Anet have done this and it wont be the last, we have a guild member, who played GW1 for 6 years completed HoM, had GW2 from the start and was banned yesterday for apparently botting, he has never botted in his life, at the age of 62 he is unlikely to be a botter, we can only assume it was because he was in one area for a number or days at the same spot getting his achievements in weapon mastery, he only moved to do his dailies or sell junk. Now if anet thinks this is botting then most players at cursed shore at pen and shelt should be banned for the same thing. Ticket has been submitted and hopefully guildie will get his account back

I’m already re-rolling to a thief, point being….

Ele is a glass cannon, AoE I cast, enemy dodge, no detrimental effect as 75% miss target. the only 100% AoE effect is on siege weaponry as it dont move. So you have 5 trying to hold a place and you got a zerg of 30 bashing in the gate, then AoE is needed to disperse and save the place you are guarding. Toning down the AoE means the ele will be as useless as an engineer in WvW.

But a thief can stay invis whilst hitting you and then can still stick a flag in you whilst invis is this really what ANET wants??

All I can say is nice forward planning ANET, you cant say you didnt know people would use comms for keys, otherwise you would not have put them there in the first place. The only reason ANET is taking them out is because it is losing THEM money, it has nothing to do with in game economy.
As per some of the other posts instead of giving mostly crap out of chests make the drop rate of rare items better. Yes I have brought gems and traded them for keys and sick of getting stupid useless boosters I cant use for example, I am a master crafter therefore why do I get mostly crafting boosters when opening a chest. Also money bags giving a few silver, which dont even make up 1/10th of a key price

When is Lionguard Lyns and the captains council commendations going to re-enabled?
Because if not I would like anet to reimburse the items, time spent and monies throwing stuff into the forge as previous posts about this said re-stocking therefore should be re-enabled soon.

As per usual they want you to grind for your karma….. anything out the chest is account bound apart from presents so again how can this be a botting protection??

I am not saying that you could just give i.e account log in and character name that should not warrant a account being suspended, if enough details are given that could question the legitimacy of the account then it should be acted upon until proof of ownership.

Hi, I may be right/wrong in posting here, our guild leader had his account hacked whilst he was at work (he is a long distance lorry driver), as our leader had changed server this was odd so we phoned him and it was not him playing but someone had hacked his account and is probably using it to bot/farm that server as his tag confirms to be from a gold seller i.e Baruch Bay [SP].
He contacted support whilst mid way through his working day having parked at a lorry stop to inform that his account may have been compromised he gave them certain log in details only he would have known but because he did not have his serial code to hand and support would not even talk to him about it.
Surely if support have reason to believe that an account may be compromised then that account should have been suspened until proof of ownership but no they have allowed the account to continue to bot/farm.
Our only + in this is, is that whoever stole the account did not kick everyone form the guild and has left everything as it is.
Surely if an account is in question then it should be suspended from play until such proof is given?
