I’m level 80 and I have 85% of daredevil specialization trained just need two more skills for 100%. I have the daredevil trait line set in the third row no weapons equipped in the main hand slot, the celestial stat line selected for the weapons stats. The one problem I see is where the weapon says two-handed weapon is still greyed stating I can’t use two-handed weapons.
Why cant I equip the free staff given when you unlock the daredevil elite specialization? I have the daredevil spec selected in the third trait line. I have the staff soul bound. Why can I not equip the staff?
They should stop making armor sets unless they are going to make some less eccentric, flamboyant or more calm and more simple.
Guild wars 2 has such a large amount of options with different stats on gear, should, traits, skills, and runes yet most builds are unusable and way under powered.
The most effective trait line for thief is shadow arts and the developers put toughness as the stat bonus the stat of least value to the thief class.
Let’s all admit no thief playing competitive is using the acrobat trait line. The acrobat line has almost no improvement trait used for pvp. Yet the trait line has vitality the most important defense stat for the thief class and shadow arts has toughness the stat of least value for the thief class. The trait line of most value for the thief class has the stat of the least value. With toughness in shadow arts trait the Anet developers are forcing thief players to take a huge negative with a positive.
Forget to mention vitality adds defense to condition damage and physical damage where toughness just add defense from physical attacks.
First I was trying to type precision and the kindles auto correct decided I was trying to type prediction. If you have played a thief class up to level 80 and not thought a power,precision dps build with the highest amount of vitality a thief can stack I’m surprised. I think vitality is the best defense stat for pvp and for sure helps in dungeons more so in fractals. The reason is the medium armor does not provide enough toughness for the thief class to stack the stat to give protection from melee hits the same as heavy armor. Thief class is designed to dodge attacks or stealth and hide from attackers. Vitality provides defense against condition damage attacks toughness just provides defense from physical damage. All the classes use skills with condition damage and most class’s can specialize in a dps build focusing on condition damage with toughness giving no protection from condition damage vitality is the stronger defense against condition damage.
GW 2 has a large variety in genre types of armor like pirate,scifi,medieval etc unfortunately all the armor is exaggerated and some aspect of the armor pieces are either silly, goofy, or made to large and out of proportion. Anet needs to add some toned down armor sets with calm designs with no exaggerated features and no parts sticking so far out the parts look obnoxious. Last the medium armor is flamboyant the game needs medium armor that looks like is meant to be used in combat and not to just look fancy.
I’m deadly serious target lock on would make the grenades much more deadly.
With no target lock on the engineer grenades are garbage.
There is no armor set for power, prediction, vitality. Developers need to add armor with those stat combination.
The Thief trait lines need some changes so a player can focus on one type of damage build. A player makes a condition damage build they have to put their traits points in deadly arts and trickery. They have to put the trait points in two trait lines to get both full condition damage and condition duration stat bonus. The description on the deadly arts trait line says the traits focus on venoms and poison yet one of the stats in the trait line is power. Damage types like poison their strength is increased with condition damage and condition duration power has no effect on the potency of poison or the severity of bleed damage. Move the power stat to trickery and condition damage to deadly arts making the deadly arts line more effective for a condition damage build. Players would then have the six points they currently have to use in trickery available to spend in another tree like shadow arts allowing a condition damage/shadow arts or acrobat build both currently only available without the condition duration bonus from trickery.
After making my engineer class on launch day and only playing to level 20 I’ve just started to play past level 20 and I find the class to be jumbled like the developers could not decide to make engineer a tank or healer or dps or what type of dps. I’ve found when developers for rpg games try to make a Jack of all trades class the class ends up broke and under powered in all class roles
Will the arenanet developers ever make a choice wether they want engineer to be a condition damage or physical damage class? Has anyone else noticed rifle is weak if you would like to build a condition damage build.
Add in options in game play an on off switch for target lock or ground target the same as double click for dodge
change the grenades to explode on target impact give the grenades an impact zone larger then the target, increase the throw speed of the grenades so the engineer throws the grenades like pitching a baseball
Can we get some new armor skins and weapons skins with the new expansion which are not flamboyant, goofy or silly or not all three. Every piece of armor or weapon has some part either flamboyant looking silly or goofy or over exaggerated. I get the impression they developers are making a joke out of all the weapon and armor skins in the game.
metal or hard leather gaunlets for punching and karate chapping also add a combat staff and dual wield combat sticks or a baseball bat type weapon
last weekend I spent the weekend exploring silverwaste and dry top when I saw one of the most exciting things I have seen in the game. There is an event in dry top where you guide a zephyrite to collect crystals or something and the zephyrite uses magical super power karate when attacked. I got excited and thought maybe Arenanet would add a karate class with the powers the zephyrite use in dry top the jumping and speed boost running powers.
Hammer NO! Make grenades have target lock increase toolkit power and give engineers rifle and pistol weapon switch
Devs need to add a target lock option for engineer grenades or just set grenades to target lock like all other ranged skill
New weapon set for thief pistol main hand with auto fire vulnerable/rope thing I think called bolus attack and unload the second two skills would be from ninja stars or bladed frizbees one would be a ranged bleed attack the other a cripple attack
Also give engineers a pistol main hand grenade off hand weapon set one grenade damages and bleeds the other cripples
