- PvP Builds in Guild Arenas:
it would be cool if when we enter our guild arena we could test out our pvp builds on each other. Instead of having to find a dead map in pvp to do it. That would make our arena so much more useful.
- Make Ranger Pets Account Bound:
Once you charm a pet on a ranger all other rangers you make have them too.
- Guild Wars 1 Dance Books:
It would be awesome if we could buy dance books like How to Dance, Volume 1 that had the guild wars 1 dances in it.
- Let Us Dye Weapons and Backpacks
- Endless gathering tools added to the wardrobe
- Open All option for goodie bags
- Account bound crafting professions:
Once we max out a crafting profession any level lvl 80 character on that account could use that maxed out craft. That way people who want to level characters through crafting can and when they reach lvl 80 they’ll have the option to unlock the maxed out version of that craft.
- Time buffer for personal and living story instances:
What I mean by this is if you do a story with a group and someone gets dropped as long as someone is in the instance let them back in like a dungeon. If someone is doing a story alone give them 5 mins to be able to get back on and continue their story without having to start over.
- Quantity box for mystic forge
- Pop up Signs For Dungeons:
It’d be helpful if when you hover over a dungeon’s symbol on the map it would say the name of the dungeon, what level you need to be to do it, say story mode or story and explorable mode if that character has done story mode on it already.
- Pop up Signs For Fractal of the Mists:
When you hover over the fractal of the mists symbol on the map it’d said the name of the dungeon(Fractal of the Mists), what level you need to be, personal reward level, and how much agony resistance you have.
- District Drop Down Menus:
Make overflow maps into a list of districts shown in a drop down menu in the upper left corner of the screen below the menu icons.
- Dungeon Mode (5 man limit) For Commander Tags:
It would be awesome if someone with a commander tag had the option to go dungeon mode with a 5 man limit like we have with the raid mode option for 10 people. So, that way we could use markers to help teach new people where to go in dungeons or even fractals. I’m not saying people must have a commander tag to do dungeons or fractals, but if someone has a tag it would be another great tool to have.
- Stand Down Option For Commander Tags:
It would be nice to have the ability as a commander to stand down and still be in the squad without having to leave and rejoin.
- Unending Guild Enhancements:
It’d be nice if when you choose a guild enhancement like the gathering boost that it would refresh on its own until you choose a different one.
- Add Activities Tab to Guild Portals
- Add Dungeons Tab to Guild Portals
- Add Living Story Season 1 to Story Journal:
There was some fun stuff in season 1 that would be great to be able to reply again. Even if the events were reduced in scale to work better for instances because I know most of it was open world.
- Mystic forge recipe for mystic coins
- Show the information for the active guild missions:
For example, for treks show how many locations have been found so far out of the total amount and how much time is left in the top right of the screen.
- Pin Active Guild Mission When Guild Mission Screen is Opened and Closed
- Increase the amount of people that can be in a guild hall instance at once without having to move to a new instance
- Making living story instances soloable:
Make it so living story instances scale down when you’re doing it solo compared to in a group.
- Tonics added to wardrobe
- Personalize Home Instances:
It would be cool to be able to decorate our home instances to make it our own or even just be able to move our nodes where we’d like them.
- Build Saving
- Raise Cooking and Jeweler to 500:
let us craft ascended trinkets/backpacks/foods/etc
- Add all keys to the Material Storage

Fix Quantity Boxes

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Rozalina.3196

Rozalina.3196

First off I just want to say I love that you guys added quantity boxes to merchants THANK YOU. The problem I have noticed is that at many of the merchants that have the quantity boxes don’t always let us use them. They restrict us to one at a time purchases like they aren’t even there. I would understand if we could only buy a certain amount of an item per day which is fine, but if it’s something we can get an endless amount it should let us use the quantity box. For example, we get those special tokens for decorations from festivals/raid bosses/world bosses/etc, but it forces us to do 1 purchase at a time. Please Anet have mercy on us and let us use the quantity boxes in all the merchants that you so graciously gave us.

PVP Ascended Gear Changes! UNNECESSARY!

the original way was a GREAT WAY for PVP players to obtain full sets of ascended gear

Translation: the original way was a GREAT WAY for PvE scrubs to come ruin the game-type players to obtain full sets of ascended gear

“Why is our game type dying?”

“Hi guys, these rewards really drew me in and it’s kinda fun. I might stick around.”

“REEE GET OUTTA HERE PVE SCRUB NOOB!!!”

Exactly

You will absolutely not strawman me like that.

If someone likes it, wants to try, and will stick around — great.

The problem is players that don’t try, don’t want to improve, and are literally only there for the Fractals equipment. Don’t even act like there weren’t a ton of farmers last season. Good riddance.

So what if people were playing pvp just to get the awesome rewards. All those people still worked their butts off to get those rewards. It was good there was more people in pvp because it means shorter ques and what’s wrong with that. The really issue here is that Anet should have waited till the next season started before they implemented the new changes to buying ascended gear because there is still time before the next season starts where people could have turned in their tokens. This would have also given Anet more than enough time to send everyone an in-game mail warning about the changes which then would have solved this whole entire problem. Anet seriously needs to let all those people that saved their tokens a chance to use them before the next season starts. This would show the gw2 community that they do care and didn’t mean to screw them out of their rewards they worked hard for this season.

Way to go with Caladbolg event!

Yes, thank you anet you guys did a great job on these Caladbog collections. I was soooo thrilled that we could earn the fixed version of the sword and it looks sooo AWESOME. Everything with these side achievements was great thank you! I also want to thank you guys for letting us be able to craft the other ascended weapons we didn’t choose the first time around.

PVP Ascended Gear Changes! UNNECESSARY!

in PvP

Posted by: Rozalina.3196

Rozalina.3196

In my opinion, Anet should have gave people some kind of heads up that they were changing what people needed to buy the ascended gear in PvP instead of just sneaking it in. To make up for not annoucing the change they should let all those who participated in the season 5 pvp league the chance to use their unused ascended tokens on the gear they would have got if they knew of the change.

Concerning the mark tokens I think the idea is fine but you guys made both the pvp and fractal ascended gear more expensive to buy than it would be to craft. It’s like you guys aren’t thinking of all the time and effort people put into pvp and fractals to actually earn the other parts to buy the gear.

How many marks per piece of armor should be changed to:
Helmet and Gloves = 1 mark
Shoulder and Boots = 2 marks
Chest and Legs = 3 marks

How many marks per weapon should be changed to:
1 handed weapons = 1 mark
2 handed weapons = 2 marks

Raid Normal/Hard Mode

in Fractals, Dungeons & Raids

Rozalina.3196

I would love to see raids and future raids have a normal mode and hardcore mode version of them. The way raids are right now leans more towards the hardcore players. Which means everyone else is left out of all the new raid content. That is why I suggest having a normal mode of raids where we’re given more time on boss fights and enemies have less health. In hardcore mode (which is what raids are now), people will be given more Magnetite Shards and have a better chance of getting better drops. That way the hardcore players get their extra challenging fix and everyone else is able to be involved in the new raid content. The hardcore mode could even be represented by a challenge mote at the beginning of the instance.

Support to take away Guild rep feature!

Rozalina.3196

Everyone is looking for certain things in a guild and there is a guild out there for everyone’s wants and needs. You just have to find it.

For me personally, I’m more old school I like to stick with one guild and surround myself with an amazing group of people that I enjoy to play with. So, I prefer people to represent our guild most of the time because I like to see people actually involved with the guild not a spot filler. It’s fine if you’re in multiply guilds as long as you are involved in some way and show your support by sporting the tag sometimes or what’s the point of being in the guild.

You have to keep in mind running a guild is no cup of tea and guild leaders need some ways to help clean out the guild and keep them active. One of those ways is having some kind of representing restriction. With that in mind if people actually kept their guild leaders informed with what’s up like hey I joined this WvW guild so when I do that I’ll be representing them at those times. As long as that person keeps involved with the guild then that is fine with me because they let me know what’s up.

Now the thing I have a problem with your post is that you said your friend really liked that guild then why weren’t they representing it because if I liked a guild that much I would show them how much by sporting their tag. That’s the whole point of representing a guild is to say hey guys this is a great guild and I’m apart of it. If not you’re just a spot filler that will be removed at some point because you’re not actually apart of the guild at that point. I rather have people that want to be there than people just being in the guild to be there. I see no benefits in that for anyone.

Add Districts Menu

Something that would be a super helpful if it was added to the game is districts. What districts are is a drop down menu of all the available versions of a map. It would appear in the upper left corner of the screen between the party and game menu. For example, if you were running around in Sparkfly Fen and you realized that Tequatl the Sunless was about to be up and you were wanting to do that event. You could just click the drop down menu and try to get into District 1,2,3, etc instead of trying to find a squad or group just to see if you can get in the map. This system would help people working on achievements that need a specific event because if it’s not up on their map they could just move to another one by clicking on a different district. It would be a helpful tool to have when trying to do something with guildies and friends so that we could get in the same map if one is full. If there are a ton of people on a map there will be more districts available. If there are maps with no people on them then the map will close like how they do now with a warning to move to the more populated district.

Create Districts For Overflow Maps

Add District Drop Down Menus For Maps

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Rozalina.3196

Rozalina.3196

What I mean by this is in guild wars 1 there was a great setup for maps where when you were in a specific map like Lion’s Arch or Queensdale there would be a drop down menu of available versions of that map which I think were called Districts. So, in the upper left corner of the screen between the party and game menu there would be a drop down menu saying District 1-10 or however many versions of the map there are available. I think if you guys bring this system over to guild wars 2 it would help with the overflow maps. That way people can see how many maps are open and be able to move between them more smoothly if there are problems like bugged events and stuff then they could try a different district. If there are a ton of people on a map there will be more districts. If there are districts with no people on them then the map will close like how they do now with a warning to move to the more populated map.

Commanders:
- Let us change the color of the commander tag when in a squad like we could do before the big revamp.
- Give commanders a stand down button when in a squad without having to leave. That way if someone else wants to lead they could or so we can run around in a squad without a tag up.

Rush/Race Guild Mission:
- Give us our personal rewards once we get through all the checkpoints like how it was before all the changes to missions.

Trek Guild Mission:
- Show how many locations have been found so far and how much time is left in the top right of the screen during trek like how it is when doing a rush/race.

Guild Mail:
- Give guilds a rank that lets us send mail to people in the guild all at once. For instance, if we decide to change raid night to a new time I could select the people that go and send the message to all our raid team at once. That way they can see the message when they get on and we don’t have to deal with the suppressed message delay after every 2 people.

Ya, I agree that mounts shouldn’t be anything special. It shouldn’t effect professions’ skills or traits. Mounts in gw2 should be just like tonics or the magic carpet where we use them to goof around with nothing more. It’d just be cool to use a tonic and my character is all of a sudden riding a white tiger or a dolyak. It’d be cool if guild emblems were on them somehow too. #Cosmetic ONLY

I just would like to say first thank you sooo much anet for implementing salvage all options, quantity boxes in merchants and account bound recipes YES thank you, You guys are the best.

Things I’d love to see added:

- Endless gathering tools added to the wardrobe
- Account bound gathering tool slots
- Build Saving
-Open All option for goodie bags
- Quantity boxes for mystic forge: like when we create something in the forge like lodestones in the window that pops up there could be a quantity box there giving us the option to make more if we wanted to.
- Keys added to wallet
- Account bound crafting professions: where when a character is lvl 80 we can choose to use a craft we have already maxed out.
-5 min drop buffer: Give people who dc during a world event,personal/living story, guild missions, etc 5 mins to get back on and not lose their spot.
-Save personal/living story instances: What I mean by this is if you do a story with a group and someone drops as long as someone is in the instance let them back in like a dungeon. If someone is doing a story alone give them 5 mins to be able to get back on and continue their story.
-Making living story instances soloable: Like the last heart of thorns episode is hard to do on your own. I think if the enemies had less health and a smaller break bar that would help a bunch.
-Tonics added to wardrobe
-Personalize Home Instances: It would be cool to be able to decorate our home instances to make it our own or even just be able to move our nodes where we’d like them.
-Pin active guild mission page: when a guild mission is active it would be nice when we reopen the mission’s tab in the guild screen that the active mission page is still open.
-Increase the amount of people that can be in a guild hall instance: it seems like every 5 people that hop in the guild hall at once we have to keep moving to a new instance.
-Add guild merchants to guild hall: like guild commendation merchant

Guild Enhancements

It would be nice if the 24 hrs would be removed from guild enhancements because they are endless boosts that we can grab as many times as we want. So, it would be nice just to keep the specific boost you like on instead of remembering to go refresh it every 24 hrs.

well if it’s separated from the skins yes but if they keep the ability attached to the skin it’ll probably be 500 to 800 gems.

How they can do it is like this:
- Skins/Special Effects/Special Abilities costs 500 to 800 gems(whatever they figure is best) then put them into wardrobe
~ If you bought the watchwork skin with the special ability of getting sprockets when you mine there would be a drop down list in the endless mining tool section of the wardrobe.
- Set of Account Bound Gathering Tool Slots for 500 to 800 gems which would be like the character based ones but account wide.
- Basic Endless Gathering Tools/no special effects/no special abilities for 500-1,000 gems
~ Since this basic set would be a one time buy it might cost more and this set would go into the account bound gathering slots.

That why the people that want the special looks and abilities will have it. The people that don’t want the frills can just get the basic and people that don’t care about endless gathering can just get the slots. Anet will make money all around.

I think all the ideas above are great especially the idea of choosing the functionality and skin because if they separate it like that it would work well with the wardrobe.

This is another good idea too Bollock that would go well with this other idea I had. So, if they added those shareable account bound gathering tool slots, what they could do is for endless gathering tools they could make them like a shell the ones that go in the slot. If you’re someone that bought the watchwork mining pick to get the chance to get sprockets when you mine would be attached to the endless mining tool shell. On top of that with the wardrobe when you choose a skin it would paint the endless gathering tool shell with that look. That way people who bought the special tool get their special ability plus get to change the look to whatever they want at the time.

Having a gathering mastery that involves sprocket drops and having a better chance of getting extra of what you’re gathering, and chances of getting more rare items would be amazing. Okay, I get you bought more of the watchwork mining picks because of the chance of getting sprockets when you mine but to be honest it’s not like you paid extra for it you still have an endless gathering tool which is what you mainly paid for. Adding endless gathering tools to the wardrobe and adding a central tryia mastery involving gathering would be a quality of life move. It will make the game even better than it is now.

That is a great idea make it apart of a gathering mastery even better. That way people who want that ability can earn it and then the endless gathering tool skins can be upgraded to the wardrobe system. Bravo Major Domo. (Love the name btw lol)

The main reason why people get the tools is so that they don’t have to worry about running out when gathering. I think having wardrobe endless gathering tools would be worth it. Or another way they could go with the sprocket thing is that it could be considered like an account trait. So, if endless gathering tools were in the wardrobe system and you bought the watchwork mining pick you got the skin + unlocked the ability to have a chance of getting sprockets when you mine for your account instead of it being apart of the actual tool.

Active Guild Mission Screen

It would be nice if when you start a guild mission like easy Trek that the guild mission would stay active on that mission’s screen. For example, hard trek’s screen shows the 30 of 30 locations, and how much time you have left to complete it. The thing is when you close your guild screen and go back to the guild mission’s tab you have go find the active mission again instead of it staying open for you. If the guild mission screen would stay active when you reopen the guild mission’s tab that would be super helpful.

Well concerning the sprocket thing if that is one of the things keeping them from moving the endless gathering tools over to the wardrobe system then they could always just remove it off the tool. Then add random sprocket nodes in the areas where scarlet attacked like Kessex Hills, Lornar’s Pass or even Lion’s Arch like how you can still find toxic spores in Kessex. No other endless gathering tool has anything like that attached to it so it’d be an easy transition from there.

Sending a mail to whole guild rank as leader

I think this is a great idea to add a guild rank that allows us send mass mail to guildies. I don’t know about other leaders of guilds but I have a kick system where if people haven’t been on for a year I send them a mail saying hey if you come back we’ll get you back in it helps keep the rooster clean. So, if I could send a mail to a group of guildies whether it be for kicks or guild events that would be awesome.

I did comment on the other thread but the overall topic is different. Which I think deserves its own thread because updating the endless gathering tools to the wardrobe system will fix all the problems people have concerning endless gathering tools. They are still stuck in the old system so an update is in order for them.

I think the time to update endless gathering tools to the wardrobe system has arrived. Especially since more endless gathering tools are being rolled out which means more awesome gathering tools to buy. With the wardrobe system we could preview them to see what they look like when we use them instead of looking it up on youtube. Also, we’d be able to just click a button in the H screen to pick the endless gathering tool you want to use instead of having to shuffle them between characters either by the shared inventory slot or bank. Another thing is that if you’re someone who bought the Watchwork Mining Pick the one that gives you a chance at getting sprockets whenever you mine then you would have that boon unlocked since it’s in the wardrobe so it wouldn’t matter if you’re using a different look. I just think with the wardrobe system it would make endless gathering tools more simple to handle then they’re now.

Permit duplicates of permanent tools

What would fix this problem is them finally bringing endless gathering tools into the wardrobe system. Which means all you’d need to do is go to your H screen and pick the one you want instead of worrying where you left your endless gathering tool. If you got that gathering tool that gives a chance of sprockets whenever you mine then with the wardrobe system it wouldn’t matter because it would just become like a trait so whatever look you choose when you mine you’d still get the chance of sprockets.

Put Endless Gathering Tools Into Wardrobe

Okay think of it this way so people who bought an endless gathering tool means they got a special look and the ability of it never running out. So, adding them to wardrobe makes it so people who bought multiple looks or have just one can click a button and be able to use their tool on any of their characters. That way they don’t have to worry about where they last left their tool or remember to put it back in there shared inventory slot. It’s like having a shell and when you click a look your shell is painted that color. If you got a special gathering tool like the Watchwork one that means the shell will have the same ability where you get a chance of sprockets whenever you mine even if you are using a different look.

Map Key Suggestion

Rozalina.3196

All the newer maps have their own kind of keys that opens something and I’m sure as more areas open up there will be more keys. So, it is a good time to either add a key ring which would be like the wallet for currencies but for keys or let us be able to have the keys in our banks and be able to open stuff without having to have them in our inventory. It’s like how we can have our writs of experience in our bank and be able to turn them into tomes of knowledge without having to have them in our inventory so same idea but for opening the different chests.

Account Bound Recipes/Crafting Professions

It would be amazing if recipes were account bound that way it didn’t matter what character you were on you’d be able to see if you need a specific recipe or not. I’m talking about recipes you buy or you get from drops out in tyria not the ones you discover when crafting. On top of that if crafting professions were account bound that would be amazing that way if people delete a character that had a maxed out craft it wouldn’t matter because any character that you choose that craft for would have it. Another idea is I know there are people out there that like to level up by crafting so how about this characters that are level 80 would unlock the maxed out version of the craft, but if a character is below 80 they would be able to discover recipes and they would be able to see the account bound recipes that they bought or got for a drop. That way people can have account bound recipes and crafting professions but still be able to level up characters through crafting if they wanted to.
