yes, each would do 3 bleed stacks. But I dont see the gs clones as a good bleed source, as staff or sword’s.
Staff clones > sword clones > gs clones. sword clones also hit 3 times and they strip boons.

staff clones also benefit from the bleed on crit trait, 3 clones you add up to 6 bleed stacks , they do not benefit from bouncing trait.
in bosses it is quite funny to add 3 iduelists ( they must stay at 1200 as it is safer) , with some luck and precision gears you have a very nice bleed stacking ( 24 max).
I also want some advices into cond damage for pve as mesmers, since i really like the condition spec but i can’t find anything better then 3 iduelists.

I wish this suportive mesmer doesn’t disappier with all the changes they are planning to do. Sounds really fun to play a suportive mesmer like that.
also for a fact, out of the weapons a mesmer can use, 3 need some serious rework, and that is focus( though this weapon is an almost ok), torch and scepter. since we have 7 weapons means 42% of our weapons aren’t even touched by most mesmers.
Staff + s/s for dungeons with a shatter build. I hate having to wait for the duelist finish its array of attacks before shattering him, so the swordsman give me faster shatters and some field combos.
I use staff in spite of the gs cause of the amount of interrupts you might get with chaos storm, which is an aoe move, great for dungeons, also if im full zerk, so chaos armor is a given. I always carry a gs with me though, some dungeons need it.
i dont like the fact that the mantra power build makes you waste 4 utilities and you can’t use your mantras, at all. not only you loose dps by using them you also have to wait for cooldowns and cast time. Its counter intuitive. It should be “4% damage for each mantra on cooldown”
which is easy to rework, a simple solution to that would be a 30m window where if you were to sell the item back to the npc( any npc) , you’d be given your tokens back.
That’s how star wars the old republic did and camon, that’s not even a game as good as guild wars 2.

hmm, no scepter love? whats up with that, do they really think that weapon is an ok weapon set for mesmers? Of hand sword just got usefull though. trait working and dazzling adding lots of vulnerability stacks, great for pve content finally.

That’s more than reason for it to be unbalanced.See what I did there? All classes are hurt by Blind whenever they use an ability that is affected by it the most. For Mesmers, it happens to be Illusions. Stop acting like all classes are the same when you compare a multi-hit ability when blinded. If you were comparing Blurred Frenzy to Unload, then it would have been a fair comparison. Apples and oranges…
I basically compared the same skills, Unload and illusonary pistols are just the same. But clock and dagger to blurred frenzy are not.

I am not seeing this behavior, have you isolated it to that or just suppose it is?
that behavior changes depending on the phantams, but the worst is definitly the izerk, it takes a whole 2s for it to initiate an attack. As for other phantasms that would be 1s.

add 60 tokens to story mode. Problems solved:
-people not going story mode
- decreases grinding aspect of the game
- makes low level peoples life easier with the rare equipment.
20/30/0/0/20 for pve and dungeon, quite squishy i know but the staff double bouncing plus the warlock criting over 5k damage is quite worth, also there is the pistol phantasm which hits 8 bleed stacks. I run berseker gear.
My combo,:
Staff 3 , 2 , 5 and 4 get close change to sword and pistol 2 then 5 then i get a little away for the 4 and 3.
vial of powerful blood, 250 of it would be 80g indeed. The rabid version is like 12g only, most versions are cheap, just berseker is expensive.
carrion and rampager are missing from ascendents so far
I’ve been trying to add powerful venom sac to the ascended backpiece recipe but it doens’t allow me to.
So it is safe to assume i should just change my gears to berseker since there won’t be any rampager ascended?
5 agony resistance means you now only take half of the agony damage ( 50% ) I could imagine the 10 agony resistance being something in the ways of 75% damage reduction.
I’ll confirm that Whaler only did single digit damage before the patch. Threw me at first, too, before I realized it’s purpose is adding bleed stacks. Makes it feel more like a clone than a Phantasm.
As for the rest, thanks for posting these detailed lists. I’m not methodical enough to pick out the details, but I did suddenly feel like I was playing a Mesmer for the first time after this patch. I’ve never been one to side with the “mesmer’s suck for PvE” crowd. Even before level 40 I’ve had a blast playing my Mesmer.
Now, it feels like I’m trying to drive my Mesmer under the influence, so to speak. The things that I used to do while kiting handfuls of mobs now seem to fail most of the time and get me killed.
Those little hilly areas on the new island were murder. What appears to be a couple foot drop in terrain is filling the screen with “Obstructed” notices.
One thing I don’t see listed here is that I seem to be constantly switching targets in the middle of combat for no apparent reason. As I said, I’m not really methodical enough to figure out exactly what is going on. Is anyone else having this problem? I did notice another mesmer who seemed to be attacking random mobs in the middle of fights, but I didn’t ask if it was intentional or not.
I play using keys entirely for movement and skills, with the right mouse button held down for turning most of the time. I’ve read people talking about mouse turning somehow selecting other targets, but haven’t really experienced anything like that. Suddenly, with the patch, I’m constantly switching targets to nearby mobs I haven’t aggroed.

mesmers, get yourselves mesmers, managed to complete the swamp in 10 minutes.
after finishing the searing fractal my party bugged. we were lead to another fractal but we still remained as charr’s flame legion. We have to free the slaves on the underwater fractal but we couldnt press F so we had to leave the dungeon.
Add Duelist’s discipline to the list:
Now you can cast the phantasm on a 1200 range but they will run into the 600 range they were before, but this is RANDOM! some phantasms still shoot at 1200 range but they miss everything, so basically now the phantasm 4 of the pistol has a chance of not working at all even if you manage to summon him with that trait up
That change to the image is due to how Anet sees confusion. Consufion instead of being a condition where you apply few stacks on a long run ( 1 stack for 9s, or the one stack out of #1 trident) you should apply a huge amount of confusion stacks in a short period of time ( 5 from scepter #3 , 3 from image and 8 from cry of frustation). Which is still a terrible mechanic for pve and even worse for dungeons.
I am a charr mesmer running around in citadel of flame clothes ( glove and armor at least) , its quite interesting set, but charrs have some very weird animation for mesmers.

OH sword is a much better weapon for shatters then pistol. When use pistol you need to wait the phantasm unload before shattering him but with an OH you can shatter him right after spawning him. Very usefull. But i do prefer the pistol for its stun though.
The sword daze has a way too long animation.
doesn’t work , not only the sigil of earth but the superior rune of the pack never procs the might, fury and swiftness thing with the gs.
I have few friends that play dungeons with me at night, there isn’t a single dungeon we didnt complete and none of those dungeons needed waypoint zerg rush. We did AC story when we were lv 25 and we didn’t need waypoint rush. PUG dungeon groups will be hard to coordanate, most people avoid CoF path 3 because it needs party coordanation, which you wont have in a PUG.
This thread is exactly like the clock tower jumping puzzle one, people complain it is too hard therefore it is not fun. Maybe not fun for you. If you find dungeons too hard you have the option to skip the dungeon content.
The fact that this game doesn’t have healers is just great! none of my friends like playing the boring role a healer has and when someone dies they always blame the healer, now in this game if someone dies, that’s the whole team fault. You have lots of interrupts, condition removal , imobilize, crippiling , chilling. With coordanation some meele bosses will never reach any party member and range bosses will always hit themselves.
I sometimes use confusion builds to play in spvp and wvw as well, they are fun , but they are lacking indeed. the confusion build isn’t viable because right now all the other weapons are way better.

I dont care about what others do, i want my feedback, i want to know what kind of attacks killed me, i want to know my interrupts , i want to know how much damage i took and ofc i want to know how much damage i did, so i can compare different builds to see what is more effective for my party.
I dont care about other people numbers, just give mine.
then can someone explain to me how i was 1 hit killed by a thief without seeing him coming? hacker?
yet you see the 3 clones ( wish mesmer really had 4 clones) coming your way , you see warrior coming your way with bull , but you never see a thief coming your way with a 20k hit cause they are stealthed.
oh and btw a mesmer shatter build can’t deal 20k damage burst.

In WvW a thief hit me for 19k damage while stealthed which hit killed my mesmer. My mesmer is also a glass cannon build, but my biggest damage output is 4k. I Am lv 80 full exotics.
Warriors never did that to me, nor rangers, elementalists or necros. Just thieves.
Could you explain me in which way is the excuse “cannon glass build” a good argument for that situation?
And let me add on a few things, beating everything 100% in a game shouldnt be for casual players, being a hardcore and seing casual doing the same stuff efortless is really frustrating. Dont Change your mind about jumping event puzzles, for the christmas event make a harder one please! Make it so the Title for the completion of the event worth of something.
I think it is unfortunate that they design an event that puts you at a disadvantage based on choices you made during character creation.
I agree that this was unfortunate. But it was not intentional. When I designed the map I thought we were going to be able to have single-player instances.
Arenanet is showing its bias and bigotry against large characters, by putting in an event which results in large characters, (Norn and Char) becoming the targets of derision and scorn because the environment of the jumping puzzle puts them at a disadvantage and obscures the puzzle for others.
I do, truly feel bad about this. From the ground up, we designed our game mechanics to encourage cooperation and altruism in the community, and this JP’s mechanics broke that design aesthetic. It was an accident, but I still accept responsibility for it.
A good game designer would not design a dungeon that required you to be a certain height to shoot over an obstacle, but Arenanet seems to have no compunction telling Norn and Char tough luck when it comes to tight spaces and jumping puzzles. New players ought to be warned that the camera completely bugs out in tight spaces for large characters, and the large character models completely obscure the path in jumping puzzles.
Well, ideally we will continue tweaking our camera until this is not a problem. Throughout the development of GW2 I was very purposefully pushing the boundaries of spatial layout and mechanics, because I believe you can’t know what your limits are until you pass them. One of the themes I tried to explore in a couple places was claustrophobia. (Specifically in Troll End, which I consider to be my worst JP) I always play as the largest male Norn in these areas while I’m building and testing them. One of the reasons for pushing the limits like this is that our engine is malleable because we are an MMO, so we are always tinkering, and it’s possible to push the direction of the engine in new and interesting ways, but only if there are compelling mechanics to justify those changes. I’m one of the guys always pushing and pushing to try to discover new compelling mechanics. That means a lot of experiments. And the nature of experiments is that some fail. But I assure you, at no point have I, or anyone here, built something that totally sucks for one of the races and said, “Well, screw THOSE guys! I don’t care about Norn!”
As long as jumping puzzles are optional, that’s fine, but requiring one as they did with the Mad King fight crosses the line. If they are going to require jumping puzzles to complete regular content, then they should fix things so all players have an equal chance.
I did not consider the MK boss map as a jumping puzzle. All you are doing is dropping down. And I made it so there are MANY paths down.
Anyway, thanks for the feedback.
If anything you should do is actually create jumping puzzles even harder then the clock tower, maybe some more hardcore mode where the poison is much faster and 3 4 5 levels where if you loose you start from the beginning.
The thing I most enjoy about this halloween was the clock tower and it makes me sad that few players that dont even like jumping puzzles or plataform games were upset and made you change your mind on doing the puzzles, also the idea of having a lot of player doing the puzzle is awesome cause i can race against other players. The only bad thing about it was forgeting to desable those swiftness based on traits that made some players faster then others.

make it as the trading post, one LFG UI for all local servers! we can play with other players from other servers in a dungeon.
I think it would be nice ( seeing as the game is based on damage output and damage mitigation) to implement a feedback system for us players to know how we did at the dungeon, the damage we did compared to others, the amount of damage we took compared to other , how many succesfull dodge we managed and so forth. It would be nice to develop some skills if we knew how we were doing at the end of the run.
I tried so much to get to the top that i decided to get to the top of the other clock tower ( there are 2 clocks if you realise) and i couldn’t do it, after the bars there is a invisible wall, kitten you anet ahah.

i dont mind nerfs on pistol and staff, but please dont nerf gs and sword sword style of shatters, that would ruin mesmer pve more then it is already nerfed.
happens to me as well. every pvp nerf mesmer takes is ruinning my fun in pve.
its hard as a charr to do it on other races when you are used to the 4 paws jumping charr.
i could imagine those people creating threads at nintendo oficial forums

I think the jumping puzzle is fine the way it is. I have not found any problem with the camera angles or anything else. Other players have been generally amazing in my experience when going through and do not bother me in the slightest when jumping. Overall it was very fun and I enjoyed it! I hope for more jumping puzzles like this one in the future!
