In a new patch we are getting reward of 2 golds for a daily achievements, it is too much in my opinion, with 2golds per day, just from achievements, its like 730g / year. With that big income of thousand players it could harm gw2 economy really hard.

What do you feel about that ?

You are absolutely right it actually is 730g/year or even 7300g/decade and now that i come to think of it it’s 73000g/century this is a LOT of gold there this clearly needs to be nerfed

no, but when there are lets say 100.000 active players playing every day and doing achievements, its 73mili gold / year, it is HUGE amount of gold and very big gold infation. But if you could think a little bit, you would come on it on your own

Well if you want to go with that line, think about if 10.000 active players make every day 2000+ gold through TP while another 100.000 players make 200+ gold… I think there’s so much of this gold inflation as you said in the game that people getting another 2g just from the dailies really isn’t going to make that massive change into the numbers.
PS. Also like some people already said in this thread earlier on, Anet will make sure most of the excess gold will be sucked out with all the gold sinks that come with all the festivals etc. so don’t you worry your pretty lil’ head with all this gold inflation talk.

And you dont forgot to overthink your pretty lil head about that player to player trade throught trading post doesnt have an effect on an inflation and doesnt change anything about making golds and gold inflation.

The more lvl 80’s the better. Lower levels doesnt matter in this game, it takes like 4 days to get to lvl 80 in. At launch 3 years ago it took 2 weeks max. Its no big deal…Besides like earlier people wrote, its a one time thing, they have to lvl all their other chars.

but its about a game content, leveling was the most funny and entertaining aspect of this game, it wasnt “you must to do it” but noone is going to level up anymore… They made this game, all this locations for YEARS and for what ? for making a skip after few years ?

YOU JUST TOOK THE VERY LAST BIT OF PROGRESS OUT OF THE GAME THAT WAS LEFT…. and i dont know if you realize that anet. You are promoting your game as a “big living world full of dynamic events” and you are basically taking it away from the new players…
Its okay giving it to the players who alredy have an lvl 80 character, but giving it to the new players ???

So because you bought the expansion you get to automatically skip everything and become max level instead of having to work for it and put the time into doing it yourself…What is this WoW now ?? What a better way to throw the entire world you created in the garbage. Why would I leave LA now except for guild missions??
It removes the entirety of what GW2 is.. exploration and discovery.

I just feel that i have nothing in this game, untill now i was like “okay i have level 80 i accomplished something in this game”… cant say that after this patch anymore…

I cared about this game but im not going to anymore… im sick of watching stupid decisions pass in anet like that… im a little sad about this cause gw2 was my fav game. R.I.P.

First problem : Everybody doing FAST runs/ avoiding boss tactics/mechanics/ jumping throught objects to avoid dungeon path, and avoid trash mobs.
+ Bosses are always pulled out of their ZONE, so their tactics can be easily dodged/bugged/exploited.

Second problem : really easy tactic, just stand and press qwert and again , except some bosses where u must to dodge some AoE damage.

Third problem : lot of paths, and too short – whats the point of having 3 paths in every dungeon when theyre 10m long. i would rather have 3x hard 1 hour dungeons than 6 with lot of 10m paths…
+ Theres always easiest/shortest/ path so you dont need to go another paths.

Solutions ?

- FIX EXPLOITS IN DUNGEONS : Remove that “jump throught” trash mobs/
- DO BETTER TACTICS
- DO LONG/HARD DUNGEON, NOT 6 EASY DUNGEONS WITH 24 SHORT PATHS
- RESTRICT BOSS INTO “FIGHT ZONE” : Every player pulling bosses out of their “fight zones” so their tactics can be avoided/dodged easily.

- I really love living story and all the content, but would like to see some devs shift back into fixing the content that exists. I don’t really even have any interest in a new dungeon until the dungeon experience has significantly improved.

The question is, will conquest be overtaken by the new game modes. Or will conquest just be the main mode for every spvp game type while the other modes are simply an option in a custom game, therefore being excluded from solo que or tourney.

IDK how theyre testing new modes, but look at Custom arenas, sooo long in beta, now, LFG will be in beta too… i thing Q4 2014, and it will be in beta for 2 months too.. not big hopes for that with my experiences with anet and this game, and im not expecting DM,CTF mode, we will have some conquest mode with another mechanic… i told, theyre too focused for living story, but why they didnt make some pvp living story ? No, PvP comunity is abbadoned (well, atleast we have that awesome balance patches)

I will buy kittening expansion if they bring Deathmatch,Capture the flag,dueling,housing, maybe i just need to wait 2 years more, when noone will be interestig, if they want to bring content into game they should add lot of content, Pernament content, because gw2 will lose players in next years if they want to contuining with their “updates”

Why i should play game with 3 options, when theres another game with 10 options ?

I went to fire up the game and login today, and saw the notifications for the latest updates. I really like boss rework and LFG tool (only beta ? really ?) I really enjoyed GW1, and to this day, I’m convinced it has much more heart as a fantasy MMO game than this new one.

- This game has next to nothing for personal character development, even something as simple as being able to go fishing, or customize pets, build house, Yet the devs are sitting there coding living stories and BL trading items to make more money like boomboxes, infinite coins, they should rather add housing and some furniture into shop, i rather buy that, because this will develop my character to next level….

  • theyre always talking about rewards and rewarding, hell i want to develop my character by playing not to be always rewarded for everything, i want to se this rewards affect my character progression,( i mean for example housing mats droping,pets,mounts ?)* This game isnt about carrot on stick with equip farming, so they should add these small details to feel my chracter is there for 1 year.

I couldn’t do it. Ultimately I just ended up removing the game today. Free or not, it’s just not a fun fantasy world for me anymore. I just feel like my character is running around aimlessly with no real purpose. this does break immersion for mmo game for me, theres nothing lke : Im playing this character for 1 year, so this is my super big house i invested 1000g into furniture and that beautiful paintings, just come and look ! .
This is missing, im not bonded into my character to say : This is my mmo alterego, this is my virtual character, no, this is just character with im playing, so i suggest to make more personal character development. to make more love with characters we are playing, thats the point of MMO, to show everyone how great are you, what u have done, what u earn etc…
I cant even show my PvP rank in pvp, i cant show my real LvL in low lvl zones, players cant inspect me, cant duel me, this is missing and making gw2 players very anonymous and too closed to connect with other players.

I realized all the content being released is just fluff and has very little meaning. Seriously, endgame is a battle to be the most fashionable living being in Tyria. GW2 is a joke compared to the original Guild Wars. A sad, sad joke.

Yes this would be great, if u want to explore/leveling alone, you can, but theres no reason to play solo, theres no mob stealing, crafting materials stealing, this game is made for that, for teamwork, not racing to kill quest boss or racing to who first gather gold ore.

Every pvp, pve, wvw player must to want to duel someone, without this option its like : Okay, not today

its not major reason why lot of pvp players frown from this game but its really big element that should be there for EVERY player, its just small thing that make u happy and give u lot tof competitive fun too, i was always playing 1v1 dueal tournaments in wow, 3 wins = winner – next round

As we’ve said before, we also want to be sure we don’t put out too many, and split up the players too much, while putting out enough so that you guys have variety.

I’m sure it’s an allusion to Guild Wars 1.
- Codex Arena died because it was kittenty and because you removed TA which was great for players without GvG-guilds.
- AB died because it was less-rewarded than JQ.
- RA died because: no monk = no win. Monk in op team = rez/quit/rage.
- You removed HB because it has no balance.

PvP in GW1 died because of balance with class and with rewards, not because there was too many modes.

Very good point there, they shouldnt be worried about spliting comunity if they add popular modes like capture the flag, deathmatch, everybody loves these modes. i liked Gw1 pvp more than gw2, its funny they have “experience” from gw1 and theyre concerned about adding new things to gw2…. Well, theyr “experience from gw1” is little bit old, games are in different states as they was 10 years ago, ppls and players changed too, why i should play pvp game with 1 option when thers another game with 10 options (modes), all i can say, conquest mode is starting to be booring so time to wake up and do something.

- So we need :

- Completly new mode

- Bigger maps for better strategies, tactics, 3x bigger map = more tense game than just running around and capturing points, less space for brainless peoples, and more cooperative teamplay, more communication. (wow AB is awesome conquest mode, i dont like this in gw2 as i like AB and one reason is because of these small maps.)

- Dueling should be there too, no comment for that, im very surprised this isnt there 1year after release.

As we’ve said before, we also want to be sure we don’t put out too many, and split up the players too much, while putting out enough so that you guys have variety.

Well, i think players are splitted already at PvP/PvE and WvW so there shouldnt be concerns about spliting players at PvP, if i want play DM i play DM, if i want to play Conquest i play that, right now, pvp has really small freedom,if u get that freedom to players, they will be doing what they want, where they have fun playing. In PvE, there are Jumping Puzzles,Dungeons,Living Story,Minigames,Crafting,World bosses,Fractals,explore, so this “spliting pvp players” shouldnt be problem, like in pve, everyone is doing what they have feelings to do

- What kind of new modes ? only something like DM ? or Capture the Flag, Some castle attacking/defending mode ?

- Dueling ?

- Bigger maps, HELL YES!!!! these maps we have now are small for full server, if u should make 2x, or even 3x bigger maps, these maps will be more tactic and position dependent than just runing around and capturing, i wanna to see 3x bigger map 10v10 it would be awesome, just like AB in wow.

Title says it all… im very tired of playing this one mode with these all around maps all day…. give us something new and stop reworking your things and do something big that please community… youre just reworking everything in this game.

0% of quality work from devs, they make only quantity… so sad, pvp died, and it has to be big part of the game.

To be honest, i don’t know how Arena Net works, and i don’t think you do either. It could be that the PvP team in Gw2 might have a budget that’s not worth a kittening dollar and can’t do anything about it. Probably because most of that budget is going straight into the pockets of the living story team. I’m not too happy of the PvP state after ONE YEAR, but i can’t do much, i only payed 60$ for the game +~90$ of gems. Because PvP never gave me the gold to buy skins. So i don’t really think we should bash on this game so much. It’s not like the game is my life.

So thats why they should make some work with pvp and not with living pve kitten…

This sounds familiar. I think I’ve seen this exact thing before and it is self defeating.

If everyone goes to an underflow because there aren’t enough people in the zone there will never be ANY people in the zone because they’ll automatically go to an underflow, indefinitely.

It doesnt matter, whole world is instanced….

You must be new, so please allow me. Ahem…this is one of those things we’ve actually had many discussions internally about. It is definitely on our list of things to do, I can’t say where on our list it is or respond with a release date until it is official. Please know that although we do agree that it is a feature players desire, we feel we have adequate ways for dueling to occur. If we were to bump this up on our list something else would need to get bumped down.

Well game is out for 1 year so we must to wait one year more for them to finish next 5 spvp maps and some balance things to move dueling into 1st place in their DO DO LIST ?

There are custom dueling servers you can join if you’re really looking for some 1v1’s.

Just look on the hotjoin list and you’ll be able to find one usually

Yes, and its very funny you must to doing this way… i also must to buy ticket to be able to make my own 1v1 server… its sooo funny….

I have so much fun when im dueling 1v1 or 2v2 in wvw, and im so happy when i found someone who want to go fair 1v1 or 2v2 duel…. why anet, why u cant just make one easy pvp mode for this game ?? PvP in GW2 is almost dead, so WHY you didnt update pvp with such a small easy upate, it will bring sPvP to live again, this suggestion isnt because of dead PvP, but bacause DUELLING IN GW2 IS FUN !!!!

You will satisfy and please LOT of PvP/PvE/WvW fans….

So, im leveling my second alt now, im playing in High population server, problem is, that every one dynamic event im doing, im doing alone, im meeting 1 player every 10min, thats very very horribe, GW2 is MMO game,with strong support of awesome dynamic events, but this world isnt living like it should be with that events,ressurection system and rewarding system, maps are full of events, but no players doing them so it looks like im alone in whole world and noone cares about attacking ceuntaurs, nobody cares about help in this world, so it feels very very dead, no players, no living/dynamic world feel in this game. Couple of months after release, this zones was full of life, full of ppls, full of ongoing events, so every time i log on i see something new. It was very good experience for me, something new that anet bring into mmo scene, lot of help from other players, no mob/material stealing from players, and all this experience is gone with low population zones… Im very sure im not alone with this problem, every one player must to agree with me, this world must to be full of dynamicly changing world.

So thats why im bringing this suggestion – Add system that associate low populated zone from every server and make one big zone full of players, similar to overflows, except this wont be zone to split players because peek capacity, but associate them together because of low population.

  • Guesting cant solve this “empy zones” problem, point is, to have one XY zone with 100 players, than 20 XY zones on 20 servers with 5 players on each zone.

- This WILL help leveling players to have more fun with leveling, to see them, this is living dynamic world full of players helping to complete these events, to help them jump into community and play massive multiplayer game from starting zone to full 80 level and socializing while going throught all low level zones.
– This will help 80 players too, i like going throught locations and help ppls, ressurect them, doing my daily, farming crafting mats, but sadly, theres noone to help, noone to meet.

  • Also, trying to map complete with every waypoint contested is incredibly annoying.

Every one knows this game is so much more fun when there are other people around.

I must agree with OP… maybe, they should add more permanent contenet every month, not deletable content every 2 weeks…. It seems like it should force to rush and play players, because there will be new content, and all will be deleted…. Anet is just very very weird for me with this….

As I’m one who is not at all interested in SAB, it does strike me how little new content there is in this game lately.

And no where near 70% of the community cares about GvG. Maybe 2-3%, but likely not even that. GvG is a minority. A very vocal one, but a minority.

- Thats completly true, im really sad i cant go and jump this awesome clocktower jumping puzzle from halloween event, or that Molten Facility dungeon from Retribution update… such a nice places,lot of fun, but anet deleted all this awesome work after 2weeks… New players have the same content as we have while vanilla released, so where is this game expanding, when they delete every new stuff (2 pvp maps,wvw updates,some bug fixing isnt enought for one year) If this is MMO game, it should live, you should have fun with players in lot of locations, lot of content, i would say gw2 is ONLINE game rather than MMO

- About GvG, well, maybe not 70% but im really sure theres lot of players from GW1, all gw1 players MUST love gvg, and im really sure they would like to see GvG in GW2, enought PvE living story, what about make some PvP focused Living Story with implementating GvG ? New PvP modes ?… Its weird that 50% of borderland map players doing GvG on the edge of Borderlands… At least, some new PvP competitive oportunity for pvp guilds/players… lot of guilds/players stoped playing PvP because this sPvP is very very weird…

Ignoring community wishes is the worst way they can take, and theyre doing that right now, so many complaint about lack of pernament rewarding content, OK,we got Fractals. Fractals do not compare to any GW1 elite dungeon. At MattVisuals interview with Colin Johansson at PAX, Colin pretty much said fractals were supposed to be that place, though he openly admitted they had failed at delivering it rewarding. Hell, then make it more rewarding, dont update your Living World for one month and make fractals better… I would rather have every 2 months one Living Story and good hard dungeon with unique armor skins than Living Story every 2 weeks…

For example, 70% of GW2 comunity want Guild vs Guild, 90% of old GW1 players want GvG, what we have ? Nothing, we have unofficial GvG matches in WvW Borderlands (http://i39.tinypic.com/rwnrdk.jpg) , this is very very sad, how much was GvG suggested, ppls really want them,now we have this matches,unofficial GvG ladders sites, unoficial LFG sites (at least LFG will be in game HOOOORAY, we waited only one year).

Because of all that temporary living story content, my Tyria looking almost exactly the same when game start. This game need some pernament features, to secure lot of content. One thing ArenaNet did well with Guild Wars 1 was the constant (permanent!)updates and balancing, Guild Wars 2 continues that to an extent however I’d be happy with quality game over quantity game. That said, a lot of the more permanent features bring that quality. Give us some permanent features, or some kind of gameplay personal story from past Living World events, its really bad that u make content and lot of ppls cant play all that stuff u added into game in the past. For example, i missed the Pirates Living Story, and i cant play that content now, so Anet, u should adding some permanent/repeatable stuff into game, not just stuff for active players, u cant force ppls to play GW2 by just adding limited features and events, MMO players would rather have lot of content, lot of things to do, lot of options, no just one, limited event for 2 weeks I would like to see official response for that Post your opinions

Well, month after release, starting locations feel dead, there arent many players like in first weeks and this make leveling bit harder, there are elite events, that i cant solo and no players around. What about make some mechanics, that server can combine 2 same low population zone in 2 different server and split it into one… this can solve low population zones, and bring life into world in future.

- “We do not want to discuss something that is not in game”, really ? where is esport, where is custom matches ?

- supp your suggestions, hope anet will surprise us with spect/ and new modes :P If they add 1-3 new maps month after launch and 4 years develop, i want my refund…

just whole design in dungeons is bad… i dont know why anet want to make “fun” game with dungeons, where u get only skin drops, nobody want to go for example AC for set, because of shi**y looking armour… I better want to grind better and better set than grinding “good” looking skin…. maybe 2 dungeons have nice skins… PvE in this game is really big FAIL !! (hello LFG…). No trinity system – no tactics – just big mess killing boss with million hp…

- Im really dissapointment that endgame is there soooooo boooring… without great reward and hard dungeons PvE is going to fail… Idk what dungeon team does last 4 years but i have feeling that dungeons was in development for one month… (environment in dungeons is so STUNNING, but system is fail….)
