Are you planning on getting around to fixing this bug yet? My main server and the two servers I randomly picked to guest to all have this escort bugged. And apparently it has been this way for quite some time.

Just curious if anyone has even been working at Anet or are you all on holiday?

Yes it is a problem, imo.

However, I think it will always be a problem no matter how you try to fix it. They could try to employ some sort of scaling effect much like in pve when an event scales based upon the number of players involved, but the imbalances of classes played will most likely be greatly amplified by this effect and cause more problems. If they limit server populations, then how will they solve the problem of who goes where and how could they justify forcing a player to move from their server?

So yeah it is a problem. I even transferred from my server after season one ended because the server has a low overall population to begin with but everyone was in wvw all the time. The whole server has ADD and only has enough people to do whatever is new and shiny at the moment. Yeah we got first in Bronze but we couldn’t do anything else and constantly had to guest to other servers to do other things. I like wvw, but I got tired of having to guest elsewhere all the time for other things besides wvw.

Yeah, because something that impacts the economy negatively is completely the same as destroying a wall at your spawn tower which doesn’t even guarantee a cap. Let alone that you used to be able to build siege all over the place, and after they fixed that throw build sites onto places you couldn’t drop them. Those people weren’t banned.

Actually yes it is the same by the reasoning applied in the post I responded to since it was a mistake by Anet which created the problem in the first place. Not really that difficult.

Elona usually have treb in their citadel. Anet could ban everybody who used supply.

The problem is that the banhammer cant drop if its Anets fault that trebs can be placed in spawn. Its not a hack, simply a flaw in the game

well the problem im having is if im going to a higher up server its going to be black gate . I was wondering about hte lower servers in like bronze league lol whihc has a good community and hopefully better que times whith decent not overpopulated population.

lol I am in HoD , have been since beta, and going to transfer out of it after this season is over. You can take my spot.

The whole server seems to have ADD. The problem with the lower pop servers is they are only going to do whatever happens to be shiny at the time. At this time it is WvW and only because of the season and achievements. And I can tell you that they most likely sandbagged to even be in bronze to begin with because we know we would have gotten murdered in silver.

If you do transfer to a bronze, keep in mind you will have a lot of difficulty getting the server to do anything other that what is new at that moment for living story or achievements. They cannot sustain any groups for anything else like Teq, or temples, and even other world bosses. And that is why I will be transferring out of bronze after the season is over. I would like to be able to not have an issue finding stuff to do other than the current shiny object Anet throws our way because it takes away from everything else.

The circle is supposed to reset when you revive the lord same goes for camps. Sometimes it bugs and doesn’t reset and there is nothing you can do about it. It will properly reset after the tower flipped. Its a minor bug and usually just irritating when you don’t know about it.

I have not seen the circle reset when the lord is revived. Only changes color when they return o the circle until they are removed. Once it is killed and the circle appears, it is supposed to be defended at that point until it resets. Happens in camps too. Kill the supervisor and the circle appears..if you don’t kill everything else or remove them from the circle before the supervisor respawns it does not remove the circle, merely changes the color until the enemy is removed again.

Don’t think its a bug at all. If it is a bug it has been one since the beginning because I have seen this happen all the time.

Must be a bug. You can’t cap if lord is alive. Circle should not appear then. Or maybe it is really intended and possible to cap if lord is alive but outside the circle? But then it would be too easy – 1 person could just pull the lord and all guards while a 2nd person stays in circle.

And I know from camps where I ran away and supervisor followed me (and he must have been outside the circle area) that no circle appears.

They killed the lord initially thats why the circle was there.

I am pretty sure this is intended. The enemy team was supposed to stay and defend until the circle was reset. Their fault for leaving too early. Not a bug imo.

Will transferring servers have an effect on the chest at the end of the season for the achievement?

I’m guessing transferring before the season is over will have an effect, but I don’t know.

If I transfer after, will the special finisher we get with the chest change as well? For example if I get one for my server finishing first in bronze, but after the season is over I transfer to a silver or gold server, will I lose that that finisher?

At least not unless they run around and speed kill every single champion and veteran in the whole game at all times.

They might not on your server, but earlier I was there in Kessex on ours and there was a group going around doing just that. And as I said some of the players only have small windows to play the game. Their progress should not be blocked by others.

Does Kessex Hills count as the whole game?

You just have a terribly inflexible mind. There are paths available, but you refuse to take them and complain about being blocked.

Why do you even need the achievement? Just do dailies and skip that one if you think it’s so much trouble.

So I am against putting in mechanics which other players can use to grief and block the progress of others in the game. But since there is a workaround its ok and there’s nothing wrong with it at all….yeah ok…there is something terribly wrong with my thinking. Guesting is free there’s no reason to transfer to a specific server unless you want to WvW. I do understand that post but with every online mmo there is always the option to grief a person if you plan on it. Every developer needs a so called concept that attracts people in the short and long run, if we look at your suggestion than most content has to be erased because every part can be used to grief someone. That leads to very boring content and achievements, if that’s the case than the achievement rewards should be deleted as well. It doesn’t take much effort of let’s say just killing 20 mobs without any requirements involved.

Again the content and the achievement has been made for different areas, if the player don’t use those areas then it’s your own fault. There is no reason for Anet to change the concept of that achievement. I guess it’s easier to complain than actually teleporting to a other map if you want to get the job done.

I never said to get rid of the achievements all it takes is someone to actually think before they make them. They can make it instanced and it wont be hindered by anyone.

What you pointed out is not griefing though.

What if other players don’t care about the buff and just want the champ bag? Why should they wait for you?

As others pointed out, you can simply go to other maps and kill veterans/champs there.

In order to get this we have to wait for the enemy to get a toxic corruption buff before the kill will count. The problem with this is players can use this to troll or grief everyone else as they kill them without waiting for the buff. Some players have limited windows when they can play and for other people on the server to prevent them from getting their achievements is extremely annoying.

Please, for the love of god, do not put achievement requirements for which the progress can be blocked by a few annoying players. If you must do so, save those achievements for instanced areas only.

Your Suggestion/Complaint includes the answer already. It’s the PLAYERS fault. Anet can’t and won’t babysit players. If you’re fed up with the people on your server and at times I am too, guest on a other server or play to a different time. That would be one option. Now since you will say that you shouldn’t be forced to play when the kids aren’t online then there’s option 2. Go to a other champion and wait there. Champions are spawned over 4 different maps with the same buff. Most of them are ignored by players and you have plenty of time defeating those champions. Problem solved.

I don’t like the idea of Anet having to re consider their patches because some players can’t be nice to each other. That’s another reason you have multiple options with nearly every update/patch. It’s up to you as a user to make the decision.

We shouldn’t have to pay to go to another server for anet introducing a mechanic which players can use against others on the same server to block progress in pve. Okay so there is already a thread I see on removing the “finish them” stuff from pve so I won’t repeat that. There has also been mention of keeping the pve content out of wvw so I won’t repeat that. I do agree with both of those opinions by the way.

Pet’s are Ranger’s trademark. Most surely this suggestion will be ignored. Besides, some pets are really useful.

I’m pretty sure the suggestion has absolutely nothing to do with removing the pets at all. What it does have to do with is being able to actually stow the pet away until we call for it. It should not automatically come out.

It is really annoying to have the pet keep coming out when doing a jumping puzzle for instance. It shouldn’t come out when taking a small amount of fall damage or when trying to retreat from an enemy and having to jump over things to do so, etc. The pet just gets in the way and becomes an obstacle itself or slows you down.

Hi, they are considering to add more legendary’s but there is no known timeframe.

Also I would suggest to look further. Many rangers use more then only a bow. At the moment the greatsword is very popular.
Your professions uses 11 different weapons, so you can choose from 11 different legendary’s not just 2. This is a lot better then e.g. an engineer who only can choose between 3 legendary weapons.

I know the ranger can use other weapons. Thanks captain obvious. The problem is the type of weapon I WANT to use is locked to one choice.

This has probably been suggested before but I am not sure how to search for this particular topic…

Are there any plans to have different Legendary weapons? I am a male ranger and I have to say I have absolutely no desire at all to have a Dreamer or a Kudzu. Way too girly Anet. I would make them for the achievement only then salvage them. I have no desire to have rainbow horseshoe footprints or shoot rainbow unicorns all over the place.

I don’t even have any desire to have Frostfang either to be honest. Are there plans to give more choices? Or are we just stuck with those horrible skin choices and effects?

I would like to be able to stow my pet and if it is on passive, have it NOT pop out when I get into combat. Stowing it means I want it stowed
until I click to un-stow it.

Although the ranger class has been broken since launch and they haven’t done anything to fix so I doubt this will happen.

it seems to me that a lot of people missed out on a chance to get precursors,
whilst others who were disconnected and got nothing and tickets say they never will.

so please remove all precursors received from the event and delete any gold made from their sale on the TP.

this will sort out the fanboys from the suddenly rich and we might get some honest feedback from the event rather than this current polarity.

Personally, I think they have gotten a lot of honest feedback from the event.

Sure there are a lot of people simply butthurt over the fact that some people got precursors and they didn’t. I didn’t get one either. I didn’t get anything usable by my profession other than the 20 slot box. The rest of the things I got will go on the trade post.

I’m sure the people at Anet reading these forum posts are more than capable of weeding out the posts which are based on simple jealousy.

Do I think they should remove all the rewards? Nope. There is no reason to do that unless they took advantage of an exploit to get them.

While your intentions might be pure, you don’t need to take ownership over Anet’s event problems. Let them deal with it. And hope they learn from their mistakes. If they do not, then this polarity will soon turn their servers into ghost towns.

Well apparently the other thread was deleted so I suppose I will reply again.

Just so you know I did not get to play phase 1 or phase 2. I only logged in today and I played the finale. So here is my 2 cents on the subject.

At first I was intrigued as to what exactly was going on right up until the event started. Throughout the event I couldn’t help but feel like I was back in the beta weekend finale where we all just skill spammed and lagged out while attacking the ridiculous champion black moas, etc.

Granted, this finale was a bit less laggy than the beta finale event was, but the feel of the event was the same. It was boring to put it simply. I really didn’t get any enjoyment out of spamming skills one after another at targets which were not even visible at times. And then when one target was down, rinse and repeat.

I don’t know what can be done to fix that honestly. Perhaps I’ve just come to the point where I have outgrown any fascination of hitting one or 2 buttons over and over for hours and not even be able to see what exactly I am hitting. Or have any sense of accomplishment when I know the next enemy is exactly the same as the first one and I will keep spamming the same thing to take it down as well.

There was a reward at the end of this event to be sure. However, there were only two things my character could use out of those rewards. Those two items were the shell and the 20 slot box which I think everyone who could open the chest obtained anyway. The other items, even though a couple were exotic and a couple were rare, could not be used by my profession and will go up on the trade post. So do I think the reward was worth it? Not really. I wasn’t expecting the very best items, but I would have liked to have something specific to my character’s profession to be honest.

I think I am more disappointed in the event itself though rather than the loot. It was just really boring.

I’m sure there are those who loved it and I’m happy for them. Perhaps they weren’t around for the beta, perhaps they were. But it just seems like its just more of the same skill spam just against another enemy with a different name and a different skin.

I think these type of Events would be more enjoyable for myself if there was actually a coop element to them other than endless skill spam against an opponent with a billion hp. Perhaps some mechanisms in place where the groups need to split and complete two or more tasks at once or whatever in order to advance the event. I don’t know, I’m just thinking out loud.

Again, I was only here for the finale. I did not see phase 1 or phase 2, but judging by the finale I’m not sure I missed much.

It is probably for the best that this was a “one time” only event. However, I am concerned about future events and whether or not they will be the same sort of skill spamming, monotonous play events as this was.

Just purchased 2 sets of minis from the gem store and they have not been delivered. What gives? My gems have decreased by 600 so the purchase was made, but nothing has been delivered by mail.

It even shows them on my recent purchases list.

No incident number was given. Where the hell is that supposed to be?

Edit: Ugh…nevermind. Would be nice if it was posted in game that if your mailbox was full, you have to delete mail on your own in order to receive the purchase. The kitten spam mail from gold sellers was taking up the space.

Sounds like screen tearing. Doesn’t sound like your card has a problem. More like you are rendering frames faster than your refresh rate on your monitor. Enable vsync and see if it goes away.

So basically when you say “its going live 22nd” you need to advertise it to us EU players as “October 23” because basically that’s it – updates like this won’t roll for us when people are playing and its already 3 AM here so might as well go to sleep now lol.

With most games in NA, the end of the day is pasific standard time as that is usually the last time zone that plays the game. So say like east coast, you have to add 3 hours. Further away, well keep on adding.

In fact Anet has specified that Pacific Standard time is the time of choice for them.

That has more to do with where the developer’s headquarters are located. Which happens to be in Washington state.
