Personally, I’m happy this is here. We need more events like this. Make the majority of the event easy and casual friendly, and make some aspect of it hard as kitten.

I’ve seen exponentially more chatter in the maps of Gendarran now that they’re looking for other games to play because of megaservers, so I figured I’d get some opinions from others.

Personally, I don’t plan on leaving, but I do plan on significantly reducing money spent on the game because I really, really dislike the direction it’s now going.

Let me expand on my own opinion:

I am the kind of player who prefers to play on cross-server guilds so I can separate where I spend my time. Either with my server in Vigil Keep/Lion’s Arch, or with my guild by guesting. Now that everything’s been mixed together (rather poorly, but that’s just my opinion) I’m having a hard time staying interested because I’m not being thrown in with the people I /want/ to talk to when I want to talk to them.

Why did you give the major clockwork things condition reflect?

"Hey guys! We’re fixing berserker everything! Except for this event, which is arguably one of the most important ones we’ve ever released."

That doesn’t fix the problem of “Condition players are forced to afk or respec.”

I can safely say I am thoroughly satisfied with the decision to add the Lidari fight, with it’s difficulty, and that I hope to see more things like this in the future. Not doing the Liadri fight is not game-breaking, so we are not punished for not doing it if we can’t/don’t want to, but those of us that /do/ want to do it are (I assume) happy with the content.

Thank you for giving those of us who enjoy a PvE challenge something to chew on. If you keep it up I’ll start throwing more gems at you :3

Can we please have the option to hide/disable quests from showing up on the UI? I am not interested in perusing the Flame and Frost event, and usually I can pass over the stuff I don’t want to see (such as story quests) because they have transparent background.

This one sticks out like a tourist in Russia.

Can we please have the option to hide them in some way?

Well, they used to give us content every month, and we’ve known for quite some time (easily since the Queen’s Jubilee era) that after this LS arch was over there would be a little down time, which was re-hashed by ANet themselves stating on multiple occasions that there will be no new content coming out of this patch.

Every class in-game has done it thus far, and I believe they’ve also done it with the orbs achievement.

Here it is on a Necro, Warrior, Thief, Guardian, Mesmer, Engineer, And I can’t find a video but Here is a forum thread about a Ranger who did it, and while it wasn’t an achievement get, Here is an Elementalist who does the Liadri fight as well.

B) It would make them more money to do the exact opposite of this idea. As in, not implement it.

I say, give easy mode and hard mode.

Easy mode: Liadri has 75% less HP, does 75% less damage, and does not have a cripple skill. No rifts spawn and once phase 2 starts, the aoe 1shot kills stop. Remove all 1 shot kills.

Hard mode: The way it is now.

Rewards for easy mode: both achievements and the miniature
Rewards for hard mode: botch achievements, the miniature and 10gold

EDIT: oh, and people don’t spawn DEAD outside the dome on the catwalk. We spawn alive and well.

I support this, I currently have five level 80 characters and I still can’t beat her with any of them. I shouldn’t have to buy a whole new set of armor just to kill one person because my builds currently don’t work or have to level an entirely new character because I’m not playing the right class. You can powerDPS the whole fight, you can’t condition spam for more than half of it. As a staff mesmer I literally have to afk until condition time (if I bother to do it at all) because every little kitten thing I do gives me an illusion that casts winds of chaos.

So a class that has infinite stealth and stupid burst damage is not viable?

Ok, so hopefully reporting them for “abuse of the LFG tool” should find results.

I now have a new hobby.

It’s called a "Legendary", not "An Expensive Skin."

I am being told that I had less hats than I actually had by the support staff, and feel like they are ignoring my emails because the information the GMs are giving me is conflicting. Initially I opened a ticket asking if there was a way to get a full refund instead of n-3, just because I figured the worst case I’d get was a no. After the patch hit I just continued with that ticket because it was relevant, but the GMs are acting a little strange.

At first, I only got 100g, and this was apparently a common issue. After that, I was given another 4 mails, each containing 100g, so 5 total. I sent a reply mentioning this, and they told me they sent all the gold, in which I corrected them that I had 9 commanders, not 8. They then told me they could not verify I had 9 and told me to delete any tomes I had left and to respond with the time I did, which is impossible becaues I had used 9.

I sent a response back saying that I had 9, and listed the names of all the characters. A new GM responded to that saying they had issued 800g, which is weird in itself because that means I had 11 commanders. Regardless, they only sent me 500, which is not the correct amount.

This seems to happen a lot (it took a longer amount of time to get my WvW rewards from Season 2, for instance, and now I haven’t gotten the refund for this). I’m curious, is it just very difficult to send out things such as rewards or refunds on a massive scale?

In a word, yes. Because of the way we do it, essentially "manually" it is complicated, and that has a way of influencing the number of issues that may arise. In the long term we hope to have a different means of such distributions, but in the short term, the team does the best it can to get everything properly aligned, and to quickly react to and correct any shortfalls or errors.

Having said that, I have a strong suspicion you will not wait more than another day for everything to be corrected in terms of the Commander tag refunds. I am not promising that, but I’m merely making a personal prediction that they will be done quickly. I hope that’s of some help to you.

So, uh, I still haven’t received my full refund, even with the additional mails. Is there going to be more mail coming in? D:

Seriously? You have to resort to abusing terrain bugs to keep your lead? Because right after the specific fight before these screenies, THE ENTIRE AR ZERG ran to that spot and hung out, before dispersing, some getting killed, others returning, etc.

They’re not returning the gold because they’ve told us on several occasions (easily 10 or so times since launch, more if you count support tickets and etc.) that we are on our own if we mail our things off instead of using the TP.

• No affiliation with the main site
  # in fact you leech their database and pull it into your UI

I will be sure to tell everyone I meet in-game who asks about your site to not visit it, because what you’re doing is borderline illegal, especially if the main site’s owner told you to stop.

As we can see, the footprints are a little kitten y. They have been since launch, and I was wondering if we were ever going to get a fix.

Also the Zodiac medium armor has it’s own problems with Charr, because as you can see in that screenshot, the boot encases his feet (unlike most boots) but I still leave (backwards) clawmarks.

Huh? Ok, first of all, 300 is an unreasonable goal. It’s like the dragon wings. All it proves is that someone spent every waking moment standing at one of those holo projectors for days, not doing anything else either in the game or in real life. Or they foolishly spent real money on virtual goods.
I stood at a holo for one solid day, until I could not stand it another second. I’m up to 33%. I’ll never make it. 300 is too high a number. It’s beyond enjoying a little Dragon Bash fun. The dragon wings are worse. But my point is, if you want to blame anyone for sucking the fun out of it, blame the game, not the players. Bashing a few dragon pinatas is festive. Killing hundreds of holos is tedious and mind-numbing.
Second, since I’ve yet to see ANY players at any holo I’ve stood at, so how is this, “anti-community?” The game has died down considerably over the last few months so you better learn to to play alone if you want to survive. For that matter, there are plenty of projectors in the game. Go find another one full of players if that’s your thing. Personally, I am a single player and think other people spoil MY game which is why I do all the mission alone. All the events alone. All the holos alone. If something is too crowded, I go somewhere else or come back later. I sure don’t accuse other people of being anti anything. GW2 is big enough for everyone to play any way they want and none of us have any business criticizing other people for how they decide to spend their money, whether they enjoy a single-player or multi-player experience.

I stopped reading when I realized you mentioned you stood at one projector.

Can I ask why you did something so dreadfully boring? I did the achievement in about 2 hours total, if that, running in a path. Got some nice loot for it, too.

Lets put this into perspective.

As a hybrid shatter/staff Mesmer, I run full MF gear in fractals below 15, because there is no need to be all hardcore raw damage. After 15 or so though, just 5 AR isn’t going to cut it, so I swap out gear for another 10 and eat an omnomberry bar, and only swap to my damage set if the group’s DPS is pitiful. Regardless though, I still run full MF gear, and not even exotics. Just rares. I am quite open about it on my server and I make sure to tell people in my party. I do get ragers, but, guess what? the vast, vast majority of the time, I don’t die, and a lot of the time, save the wipe by mesmertanking. If we /do/ wipe, I’m usually the last one to die (assuming it wasn’t a planned wipe. Those I find creative ways to do it quickly lol).

What does this say about MF gear? It’s the player, not the gear. If you don’t suck at mechanics, you don’t suck at Guild Wars 2. If you complain about Magic Find, you probably do and need someone to carry you, so you use MF as a scapegoat to your own shortcomings.

By the way, you can, and I have, run Fractals naked as a group and still beat most of them with little difficulty.

So I’m just curious then, what is your solution? Do they remove the mechanic from the game so the fight is rather simple? Do they just tone down the intensity of the reflect mechanic?

Get rid of the Zerker Vs. Condition for this. Seeing as how they are going to implement a change to the Zerker build in the March 18th Patch or soon after.

The real question is how can this fight be accomplished with the game mechanics in place.

The proper fix would be either remove the buff (which I would like to avoid) or add a buff during P2 that does a reflect on raw damage, but reduced damage reflection if it’s a DoT-applying skill.

It’s not that they didn’t care, it’s that you’re not the targeted demographic if you can’t complete it. And yes, what you mentioned is their logic. The hard content is targeted towards PvE players who /want/ challenging content.

I disagree with this. Some things should be soulbound because that’s the mechanic of the object. An example would be the iron tailpipe bandana. My Mesmer, Sawnec, is not in his gang, so why should he have a bandana?

Other example is weapons. If all the weapons suddenly stop being soul bound, there would be no reason for people to buy more than one or two of the same weapon, and the market would stall, if not straight up crash.
