I’ve been playing Engi since the beta. I’ve tried the other classes but to me they aren’t as fun.
I say: Give us something more interesting instead. Something without AI problems.
I was going to suggest something along the lines of a mini tank, but then I remembered the power suit and….yeah.

Jetpack glider that starts smoking and sputtering, and then fizzles out or explodes when you hit the max of your glide time.

Any chance for an upgrade that would allow spectators to root for a side and have the option of throwing things into the arena to help or hinder the side they chose? I think it would be neat to make it more of a spectacle.
For added interest, include an NPC taking bets on who would win like when we had the Moa racing.
I’m partial to the Scientific Hammer (is that one still available it’s been a while) and Mecha Anchor.

“mudamudamuda” , “oraoraoraora” and “wryyyyyyyyy” also work.
Engi gets gadget goonies reference, why can’t warrior get a jojo reference shouts?
Because then we’d have to have a steamroller finisher in PvP and WvW and once you start doing stuff like that you may as well sell your soul to Dio.
We have no access to the Polymock Arena and now our RC golems are kaput. I blame Mordremoth.
Me: Atrevka, you’ve got mail.
Atrevka: This had better be good, I was just about to get some very interesting data on the inner workings of a singularly…
Me: Whatever just read this. points to her laptop
Atrevka: grumbles, reads post, and snorts in disgust I have better uses for my olfactory bulb than sniffing myself.
Me: Which is probably why you haven’t noticed that you reek of motor oil and gunpowder.
Atrevka: ignores her Smooth peanut butter is obviously the superior choice. It does not cut into bread nor break the crackers when you spread it.
Me: I used to like chunky when I was a kid but then a bit of peanut got stuck in a cavity and I’ve avoided it ever since.
Atrevka: We shall skip the next one since the conditional requirement has not been met.
My favorite pizza toppings? I’m not certain that this is actually a needful thing for you to know, but for the sake of the spirit of inquiry they are (in no particular order) green peppers, black olives, spinach, barbecue chicken, pepperoni, sausage, and mushrooms. Not all on the same pizza at once though.
Me: Pepperoni, sausage, barbecue chicken, spinach, mushrooms, pulled pork, and Canadian bacon. Also not all on the same pizza at once.
Atrevka: Pineapple?! You’re sick! Also, dogs are the epitome of evil!
Me: Don’t mind her, my Doberidgeback bit her when she got here. My first dog was a German Shepherd mix so I’d say Shepherd.
Atrevka: Sick, sick bookah….Ah, I see we are at the end of this farce. Mathematics obviously.
Me: I’m partial to both but lean more heavily towards the humanities.
Atrevka: And that is why you are a bookah.
I get more of a steampunk vibe, though I don’t pretend to know all the nuances of that movement.
A better example of steampunk would be the Charr. Asura are far closer to the magitek genre.
I’ve never had poutine. My Québécois friends preferred to take me to Le Château Frontenac and attempt to kill me with food I normally can’t afford.
Regardless, if Anet gives you guys poutine I demand conch fritters!
…you guys owe me a new keyboard. >_<*
For the love of the Eternal Alchemy, give us access to the Polymock Arena! Rata Sum is crying out for this time honored tradition!
I’m convinced there is some sort of bookah conspiracy afoot. They don’t want us to exercise our vast intellect with our own games of skill and instead force us to rely on their inferior, brutish games!
When I first started Guild Wars 2 I really wanted to be an engineer mainly for the turrets. Not because they were really powerful at the time, but because they were so cool. I mean rocket turrets and flame turrets !? I have many fond memories using this build and that led my engineer being my go to profession.
For me it was that and the explosives. Stuff blowin’ up FTW!
As for people who hate on turret engineers, they just aren’t capable of appreciating the beauty of proper placement of resources and timing.
Chickenado: because peeps be too serious.
I wouldn’t be calling for the removal of WP if I were you. I can see Anet removing the ones closest to the jumping puzzles, all the ones in Orr except the one in the middle of Cathedral of Eternal Radiance and Arah, and all the WPs in the dungeons just because you asked.
It started with the lag for me, then I couldn’t do anything except run around (this was in the story event btw) next thing I know my screen’s gone red and I have to reboot my system.
After I reboot I get back on but the situation hasn’t changed and the lag is far worse. Roughly a thirty seconds pass and I’m disconnected from the server. What’s going on Anet? I didn’t even experience anything like that in the Beta!
When you start out as an engineer, one of the first things you learn in PvE is “dodge mofo, mob’s up in yo’ face”. All of the engineer’s actual weapons are for mid to long range combat, your kits and turrets are to deal with anything stupid enough to get too close. Still, there are some times I wish I had a sledgehammer if for nothing more than the catharsis of smacking my enemies with something heavier than a wrench.
[pointedly ignores the human]
You fabricate an dingestinal system for an entomechalogical construct?! You even purport to bother with such an obsolete model at all?! Truly you possess only the intelligence quotient of a Risen Brute! Constructs created using the eschetical tri-node method are far more durable.
Then again, maybe we can jack Scarlet’s stuff after the end of this LW event? Those Watchwork minions of hers will do nicely.
Okay, I was just hanging around watching my cats pounce each other when I had a thought: what if Engis had a Walking Turret elite? Maybe one about half the size of the golems that shoots cannonballs for knockdown damage or something?
What do you all think?
Why can’t I stop giggling?
When I played GW1 Vekk was my favorite character and I was really excited that in GW2 we get to play as Asura. Signed up for the beta the day the option was available and it was LOVE.
And of course…SCIENCE!
One of my cats was sitting next to me when I heard it for the first time. She looked at me like, “I know that’s not my pal, when did you bring another cat here and why?”
