Hopped on Verdant Brink trying to get more Crow Bars for Airship Parts, but the map seems to be resetting itself every few minutes. Everyone keeps getting ported back to the portal right next to Shipwreck Peak WP, and all progression gets reset.
People on map were reporting being able to get Mastery Points twice, Flax Garden being reset over and over, etc.
In addition your money (for WPing) isn’t returned, but your weapon set/utilities/traits constantly reset to what they were before the map resets.
Not sure how constant it is, but it happened about 3 times within 10-15minutes.

Did they change Illusionary Avengers? For some reason the Alacrity radius felt larger before.
Or it could just be that it’s un-noticible now? I tried standing right behind them and didn’t get any.

General consensus of the mesmers in the Mesmer section and in-game are that the Alacrity nerf/fix is a HUGE change. It was quite a bit overpowered for their party members, but the entire Elite spec was mostly focused around Alacrity, which got slashed.
People generally feel that if it could stay 66% on mesmers themselves while giving out 33% to party members, that would be a good compromise.
Another way might be to reduce Cooldowns on some of the wells, as it’s difficult to even keep on yourself most of the time now. Otherwise perhaps increase the Alacrity duration from shatter?
*Overall if we could get some communication on what Arenanet wants Mesmers to be, that’d be great. Their current personal DPS output is around half of any other class, with a lot more micromanaging required.
The scepter autoattack was a nice change but still won’t see much use in end-game content.
Well of Precog won’t see much use now, as Aegis on demand (Ex. guardians) is much better than Aegis pulses.
In Fractals, there’s a new Mossman-cheese spot.
The new Shatterer fight is pretty fun and flying in Tyria is amazing!
Was there a reason for the boon targetting change in raids, by chance?
Kiss Kiss Bang [BANG]
(edited by Scribble.8069)
Why not? It was all based on player-side timing. Good mesmers and rangers etc did it all the time. It made rotations in raids a little more interesting, but it was still completely optional to do so.
You can still do the same thing now, only instead of one person moving him/herself, it’ll have to be everyone else coming into/out of range in order to share buffs optimally.

They did give us ground targeted Feedback I guess.
Which, granted, we could have done before they changed to to need a target, but hey.
It won’t be as big a nerf to druids since in good groups, often you won’t need as much healing. The times you do need it are predictable.
Kiss Kiss Bang [BANG]
This is the first change I’ve been actually really disappointed with, in the long line of mesmer changes since the game first came out. It just feels so badly thought out and as if the development team has never played with one in any sort of group content.
Kiss Kiss Bang [BANG]
Hey there,
So I searched up old topic threads to this (made over two years ago), but didn’t see a solution.
I’ve had an odd popping noise occur upon GW2 launch and occasionally at random times ingame. This has only started after upgrading to Windows 10. It sounds similar to a sort of static pop or crackle coming from my speakers. I’ve tried hearing through my headphones only, and the same sound comes through, which means it isn’t a tech problem.
I’ve updated all my drivers as per usual. GW2 seems to be the only program that does this – I’ve never heard it when I don’t have the game open.
Does anyone have a fix or work around? Thanks in advance!

Having this as well, only on my main character. Happens every map change as well as just randomly sometimes when logged in on the same map for a while.
Everything is unlocked on that character.

Have had this bug as well for a bit over a week. I’ve tried the above fixes, and can talk in every guild except for one.
The “bugged” guild was previously in the 5th guild slot, and it’s now in my 4th with the same problem. It could be chat only works in the first 1-2-3 guild slots?

If you think the nerf to illusionary leap was only minor then you had no idea how to use sword main hand as a Mesmer before patch. Having the skill as a reliable stun break, combo finisher and teleport was invaluable to high level Mesmer melee game play. Now the skill is reduced to 1 dimensional because it encourages swapping immediately or the clone will get destroyed anyway rendering the skill completely useless.
Very much this. :<
Kiss Kiss Bang [BANG]
Played mes since headstart, and played both PvE and PvP since then (with breaks). It’s kind of at the point, PvP-wise, where I’m not 100% confident the skills I press will do the things I need them to do.
Though I suppose a good portion of mesmer traits have a randomness factor, anyway..
(Staff 2 still occasionally gets you stuck in random walls, esp. in Legacy of the Foefire. You then have to either relog or pray that your blink/Phase Retreat will port you back outside. Previously iLeap was a pretty good bandaid-fix for that – you could target something outside the wall, throw out a clone, and port out of the wall.)

Out of curiosity, is there a dev that mains a mesmer?
Kiss Kiss Bang [BANG]
People underestimate how useful this skill was as a defensive utility. If you mastered illusionary leap regardless of the pathing issue it really put you a step above other mesmers in fights, and they strip that almost completely with this nerf and completely dumbed the skill down.
Definitely this. Longtime mesmers who have gotten used to how this skill works (No matter how buggy, how sometimes the clone doesn’t even spawn despite level ground between you and the target, and so on..) will have to adapt to changes in their playstyles — in PvP and even in areas of PvE.
At least have SWAP disappear after the clone dies! Pushing the button and having nothing happen is kind of terrible.

Was fun watching the recordings! Couldn’t catch it live at work, but the wipes were fun to see afterwards haha. And the shout casting was hilarious and kept it lively.
I think forcing a completely wiped team to restart would be alright for future tournaments in this matter, though. They would be far behind from having to redo everything, have skills on CD, but it would still put pressure on the other team to keep going and have a need to finish.
(Also Kudos to Ray from Ren — an old friend, and he mentioned before the tourney that he wanted to win the money I donated back. He even returned it to me today! Pretty awesome of him! :] )
Kiss Kiss Bang [BANG]
Good luck to all the teams that enter! Hoping to see some interesting dungeon paths chosen (and fun panicky moments).

Sort of the same thing asked in a different way, hope it helps?

Hello Gaile Gray, thank you for your time! My ticket number is #543365 and I submitted it about 6 days ago.
I received a very nice response from Hazel the day I submitted my ticket that it was being forwarded to a member of the Guild Wars 2 Support Team, but haven’t heard anything since then.
Thank for you checking each one of these for us.

Adding an ICD would almost make it completely not worth taking in PvP over Chaotic Interruptions for interrupt builds. And it’s introducing a completely different tactic in PvE which is awesome! Shouldn’t be changed.
Kiss Kiss Bang [BANG]
People who love the class will stay and adapt, don’t worry. :]
Kiss Kiss Bang [BANG]
Ideally we’d get a chance to retrait every fight – I’m sure there will be people to do so – but without saved templates I doubt people would retrait every fight or for trash mobs. Most go by so quickly that you’d save more time just might stacking then fighting asap.
I can see myself retraiting for Lupi to 6/6/0/0/2 then back afterwards, but probably not for other fights. Half if not most of the reason to get Empowering Mantras in the first place is because the modifiers work during reflects, though, imo.
Kiss Kiss Bang [BANG]
This change basically just completely destroyed mesmers in PvE. Empowering Mantras was pretty much the only thing that made us not completely terrible.
Assuming phaste is fixed I think I’ll try 2/4/0/4/4 or 6/4/0/0/4 (no reflect), but I suspect the correct build may be to roll guardian.
Yes, this is pretty much correct.
I’ll still main mes, but this is in the back of my mind. :<
Kiss Kiss Bang [BANG]
Like everyone said, if it was scaled a bit larger it’d be fantastic.
Kiss Kiss Bang [BANG]
I’ve been running these trait lines for the last month+ or so and have been very happy with it. :] S/S and Staff/GS depending on the map.
(Knocking someone onto the glass in Skyhammer then immobilizing them is the best thing ever.)
Although I’ve been wondering if Imbued Diversion is another trait worth exploring…
TBH, interrupt feels a little pointless when so many skills are spammy, and some classes are almost immune (thief). There’s too much reliance on passive effects and spamming AA in general to make interrupt feel rewarding.
I’ve found that interrupt build works really well once you know all the tells of the different classes. You can easily interrupt thieves in the middle of Heartseeker, for example, or warriors in the middle of Eviscerate etcetc once you know what the movements look like.
To be honest, the main thing I’ve learned to look for is whether they have stability up or not. If they do, it’s easily cleared with a quick Cry of Frustration w/ Shattered Concentration. I tend to like using Null Field somewhat offensively, too.

We have one for PVE – it’d be nice to have one that worked for PVP items. I know people who save up stacks of boxes to open all at once and it’s a slight hassle to keep dragging out 15 use salvage kits.
Any thoughts?
Kiss Kiss Bang [BANG]
I could be wrong, but I’m 99% sure those are the default town clothes.

Was directed here.
Having some version of the same problem, except I get no lag whatsoever. Just random crashes to the character screen. It doesn’t seem to be at any particular time – I could be playing for 10minutes or for 3hours.
Also, only started for me from the Queen’s Jubilee/Gauntlet patch onwards.

Thanks, I’ll do that as well. Wasn’t sure if it was the place for this since the reply from ANET was about 4 months ago, and this didn’t start for me until this patch.
Kiss Kiss Bang [BANG]
I have the game allowed through the firewalls and virus blockers installed, so pretty sure it isn’t that.
Have heard it happening to some other people since the patch as well. Can’t seem to figure it out.
Kiss Kiss Bang [BANG]
For some reason, even since the Queen’s Jubilee/Gauntlet patch, my game has been crashing at random. It has never happened to me before that.
It isn’t an internet problem or DC, since my music, sites, voicechats etc never crash during it.
I’ve also ran -repair, -verify, and so on. Hasn’t fixed the problem. If anyone has any clues, thanks in advance!
Attached is a screenshot of the error which pops up each time.
Kiss Kiss Bang [BANG]
In simple terms: Blurred Frenzy will now no longer work against the Fractal JadeMaw’s laser beam attack…sadness.
I’d like to see confirmation on this one.
Still works on laser beam – works as if you had normally dodged.
Kiss Kiss Bang [BANG]
I remember fighting one of the guards in the picture, but no sorry. :<
Kiss Kiss Bang [BANG]
Confirming what Eitte says, none of us were running a glamour build. However we were focus targetting a lot that day so that’s probably how the confusion stacked so quickly.. I’m pretty sure we had Chaos Armor up at least most of the time.
Kiss Kiss Bang [BANG]
I know you mentioned GSes, but I made Bolt today for my Asuran mesmer and I love it. :]
Kiss Kiss Bang [BANG]
Race: Asura
Sex: Female
Profession: Mesmer
Arah armor on asuras are great because they sort of make your character seem bigger. Problem is, the cape clips with everything!
I recently got the final version of the Fractal Capacitor for the glow, but… It’s nowhere to be seen.
Disappointing because when you preview it, it sits above the armor and you can see it fine- but the preview doesn’t show how the actual armor looks.
(I wish I hadn’t spent the money on all those ectos!)
Weapons with effects such as Vision of the Mists are also hidden.
Please fix if you can. :] Thank you.
EDIT: This also affects the Quaggan Backpack.
