Just seperate those, have the servers list get PvE population and WvW population and base the wvw population on the monthly PPK they get each month and make the transferring fees based on the wvw populations … there you go anet I solved your issue

As a commander in ET I enjoy commanding ET troops even without TS coordination they do pretty well.

and for whoever says we nightcap when the other servers are sleeping, Hello night crew people like WvWvW and they want to play it? Do you want us to not go to WvWvW cause you guys are sleeping? NOPE that will never work in any server!

Also there is the server pride, the reason we pushed against AR that week when we were 30k points behind you and still won is because people were stressed about losing that guild we lost and wanted to prove its not only that guild that carried the server, we can do it, we rallied our server to get 1st, night crew were part of it and did their best to keep PPT up.

Call us kitten all you want, we cared about the matchup we won, same for DR matchup last week we were 40k behind and lost with only 3k points behind!

It only shows that ET cares about the PPT and cares about winning matchups ( I guess its the same for everyserver )

And eh, I see tons of you behind towers when we are outmanned by them, same banana but i wont act like that and say "hey guys dont move to X server they hide! "
cause that just reflects something about your servers community kind of attitude.

As a person who left ET to another server, was a good experince but my guildies and I missed ET alot that we ended transferring back and not planning to leave ET again.

Always easy to find fun fights, always some friendly faces that you’ll recognize when you go to WvWvW in ET, you’ll almost see the same names each day which helps the community be strong, everyone knows each other and it always makes our WvWvW better!

And if you are guildless or wanting to move and you aren’t sure about it cause you’ll be “alone”

One up and one down solves some problems but creates a bunch more. Including that it invalidates ratings entirely. It no longer takes into account quality of victory but simply uses the fact of victory to move a server out of the matchup they were previously in. The system we are using now creates varied matchups, which will allow us to get more accurate ratings. As those become more accurate we can dial down on the amount of variance we are introducing to have matchups that are varied, but less prone to large rating gaps between the servers. But, again, this is entirely based on server rating, which is the thing we have actually been calculating this entire time. Until that number is a more accurate reflection of server quality, we are going to keep mixing the matchups up.

Do you know that most servers wont go all out so that “your new system” test each server akittens real strength?
Most players who are in a server that is facing a bigger server will just not go to WvWvW till the next week, same for the players in that bigger server.

Lets say you achieved what you want, what will we get after that system? the previous broken system?

And as for this match-up, I think it’s a great opportunity to learn a thing or two from the two servers we are facing since we know we will face new opponents next week.

It could be a terrible idea but Idk why the EU players are feeling offended, would it be better if he said merge the NA with the EU servers? it’s the same thing. And we do have challenging guilds in terms of open fields fights.

Was an interesting reset night. HoD came out swinging as usual in the borderlands which meant for me, it was more interesting once things started winding down for us.

Flappy left us a nicely upgraded FC Hills with full buffs once he went to bed, we had a small group still keeping you guys at bay for another hour or so, taking down trebs and golems til you guys amassed enough to steamroll over us with the reckless abandon we deserved at that point.

Then it was ETs retalation on our BL, which started going downhill when we saw the Outmanned buff on us. The three pronged rush on Garrison, Hills and Lake was crafty. Garrison was held back easily, as I suspect you expected but lake was quickly gone and it bought you enough time to break outer at hills. Then started the see-saw between Bay and Hills – went in your favor when we managed to hold off Bay but it gave you the chance to grab hills. Then it went in our favor when Battlecamp managed to sneak Hills back before it swung back the other way and you managed to pressure us into choosing one and snatched Bay from us before you called it a night.

Lets hope it keeps going this way instead of sinking into coverage gap wars for points like it has a tendency to in the lower tiers.

Yeah it was so fun! I really enjoyed it. The reason we rushed bay was to make it easier to cap Hills ( which is why we sent 5 people with 1 golem to make it look serious ).

I had so much fun but most of us were so tired we decided to call it a night after getting close to lose bay.

Hope it keeps going like that for the rest of the week!

Forgot to post these from last night, but things were a bit slow yesterday so I paid a visit to ET BLs to do a little roaming, and quickly found a 1v2 matchup with 2 ETs that ended up in a stalemate. Afterwards we talked a bit as more ET showed up, and shortly after a few FC decided to join the fun. Afterwards we had some good duels and an epic tussle over the ruins sentry point! Altho sometime later one of our zerg groups decided to pay a visit and end the festivities, apologies for that. I’m having a blast in this tier, hopefully we won’t move up too fast…

Yeah that was fun while it lasted, we should do it again sometime! xD

Honestly when it was my first time in WvW, someone killed me and laughed, I found it funny and never thought that thing is insulting. Let’s be honest, since it’s a game, why do you feel insulted cause of such a thing LOL COME ON. Whenever I am dead and someone started an emote next to me, I stay still just to watch how many people will start doing it next to my corpse cause I really find it funny and not insulting at all.

Thanks for the help Jayne. But, come to think of it, if that guy moves from server to server, doesn’t that mean he will move after the whole server ignore him? It’s like even if we get rid of him he will move to another server and do the same!

I know it’s only one person and people will be like " oh come on " but it is actually annoying and if he moved to another server he will just be a burden there. So, the point is I think too many people reported him in each server if he moved a lot, why is he not banned yet? If Anet started to look in that problem and a guy got, lets say, 100+ reports (I believe he have more) and he gets banned, that may show some “trolls” that Anet are looking after them. Cause when we mentioned that we will report him he just said " Do it 700 times " < cause of my 700 supplies thingy ……

We’ve had trolls like that on TC ever since we hit Tier 2 back in December. What I like to do is be unbearably upbeat and sing the praises of our server and drown them out. Soon others jump in saying what they like about the server, and then more join in … and eventually the troll just gives up and goes away

Never underestimate the power of positivity! Flip his negative with a positive .. it boosts morale for your server and frustrates the troll.

Another way to drown him out is to start doing wvw tips in /map chat … asking others to chime in and add what they know. It educates your map for those new to WvW and drowns out the troll. Win-win.

The problem with that guy is, it is different LOL cause he is here just to annoy us really he doesn’t care what we do even if it was perfect he will still do his thing. For example someone asked if he should order the next upgrade in SM while we had 0 supplies, I said wait till supplies build up to 700 cause we were having bad times and expecting an attack 700 would’ve been perfect cause we will see till that time if they are going to attempt to take stonemist or not and if it happened we have 700 supplies to use . What he did is he ignored the whole thing and trolled the 700 part cause its a random number and kept trying to annoy me which he does with each person in ET. Whenever a commander steps he says " you are as bad as the 10 commanders who commanded before you." and keeps going on and on and on it never ends it is what he is here for that’s his job. Everyone in ET is irritated and we keep reporting.

I know it looks like a subject that is not THAT important cause there will be trolls everywhere BUT what should we do if someone took it as his main role? we all know its hard to stop fights in map chats if there was someone trolling the map chat will just be fired up and heated and as I mentioned its BAD for new comers who wanted to try WvW and something needs to be done about such behaviors.

Well not going to post for now. Indeed that’s what we have been doing but the problem is each 5 mins someone who just got into WvW is caught in that trolling circle again.

I hope at least that Anet track that guy who got I’d say 50+ reports so far and deal with him for good.

I think he uses whichever is best to troll cause as I mentioned earlier he isn’t there to play and enjoy WvW, he is just their to do that as I heard from our people. But yeah until he gets banned or just grow up we can’t help it but I hope new players don’t hate WvW cause of him cause we all know GW2 community is a special one, seeing what he does and how many fights he fires will change the whole idea for new comers.

Hey there. Well that topic speak of itself, we have been suffering cause of only 1 guy and even if we ignored it doesn’t help we cant manage to stop fights in map or team chats with him. He is in ET server just to do that from what I heard and I have screen shots and ET players know him too. Reporting didn’t work and I don’t know if I am allowed to post his name or the screenshots with his name BUT its really not letting us enjoy WvWvW in ET in a very irritating way.

He have been trolling every commander in map chat, literally everyone of them plus the players!

Anything can be done about this?!

I like WvW the way it is and the way Anet develop it. People will always complain, there’s no way a game will be perfect for every single player in a game with more than 500,000 players IMO. So if you are not enjoying it try to make it enjoyable for yourself somehow.

Just to let people know about this picture cause it seems our ET players are starting to make fun of us here in forums. Shiniou is a commander that no one knows and if they know her they will hate her because :
1 – she will donate siege and if people didn’t whisper her ( Thanks for this ram, AC , ballista , cata , treb and golem she will rage and leave the server for a month and come back later and the same thing will happen. Lord Morval here is her husband BTW
2 – If a commander in the map she is in ( she isn’t commanding she doesn’t actually ) she will whisper to ask him if he wants siege, if he said no thanks ! she will rage at him.
3 – whenever her husband is commanding she will track each person that is not following him and will whisper him attacking him/her and raging … etc.
4 – She hate it when we take whole maps don’t ask me why, long ago more than 3 months we were taking whole EB and she was complaining cause she didn’t like it.
5- Why people will not listen to her or her husband because their tactic is to camp spawns 24/7 and you will be blamed for having a life.

Hope that explained why Battlecamp said what he said in that picture.

I read these threads day in day out and I see alot of people complaining about one thing or another. Most of it is between SF and ET. Yes one server has more people in WvW than the other, so what!? I have seen small groups hold off big ones but recently for the ET Commanders when they are over-run, they seem to just retreat to another map even when there are people identifiably still trying to defend against what is viewed as the impossible zerg, but really isn’t. ET does still have good people in there trying their kitten hardest but it doesn’t help when people are ignored and then over spoken by Commanders who don’t even want to consider helping defend when they can just go to a seemingly empty map because it is easier. So what happened to defense against the odds? We can do it, we have done it and we can do it again but people don’t want to. I have seen the Garrison held for four hours against an SF zerg much like one I just saw, it was done with very little preperation, very few people and the reason for so few people that one time was because of a login glitch. The difference between now and then is those people believed they could do it and they not only did, but pushed back.

Now all I see is, lets go to another map and come back later when they(SF) have gone.

Added Note: I see this happen alot, not just this once.

Alright I am not afraid to say it I am that commander in this chat. And, that’s so sad our own people laughing at us while we put a lot of effort I really hate that. So what about you buy a tag and test it? I once defended our whole BL for 10+ hours and had many PKs with me if you don’t believe me you can ask. Do you know what I learned? the longer we hold SFs in our BL the more points Fergs get and every single commander in ET knows that thing its too critical. In your chat did I order them to do so ? I asked for opinions. Yes I am a commander I should order I shouldn’t ask for opinions but at such a situation I asked and it was the first time I do so cause I was about to leave and I knew there were other commanders around that I respect their opinions. Whats upsetting me now is to see people sharing our conversations here, I mean I asked for opinions and you were against it if you are really against it why didn’t you say a thing? or just want to laugh and say ET commanders are the reason we are losing? Make sense please.

People need to start telling commanders what they think we should do and ask them “why are you doing that instead of that?” that my help you understand if you think they are just moving around aimlessly. Forgive me if I was rude or anything like that I am just sad that someone from ET is laughing at my decisions instead of telling me his/her opinion when I asked for it. I do see your point, but having first hand experience on ET when it was at its worst (IE: before the population/night crew boost), I can tell you that we (SF) do not have vast overbalance in people that are in WvW, the server as a whole might, but just like any server not everyone PvPs. There may be a slight tip in the scales toward our side in numbers, no one can dispute that because overall the numbers fluctuate and there is no hard evidence to support either way. There have been many times in EB that you guys run in and start capping, and it is what I consider primetime (yesterday for instance around 6pm EST), and we have LITERALLY 10 people in EB.

Anyone on the other side of the coin would probably say something along the lines of “well you had 100 people in our BL capping it, that’s why you only had 10 in EB”….Again that may be true in particular instances, but there has also been times where in the early evening (NA time-wise), ET will be blasting through EB with a 40 man zerg, and your BL is solid (Blue). Again during those times we are begging for people just like I used to do when I was on ET. Like I said not trying to start an argument, or prove a point…I just wish people (on all sides) would realize that this matchup is extremely close once you throw some pre-conceived notions out the window IMO.

I agree with you but I just want you to know that our greatest and biggest zerg is not more that 35 people. Unless it is the resest zerg and that’s something not under our control. We just keep trying to enjoy WvW cause we cant change it! it is what it is.

Culling is god-awful lately, ever since they issued that last “fix” it has gotten much worse…with that said I always add 5-10 people over what I see. So if you say not more than 35 I surely will take your word…Once I physically see more than 25 tags I assume at least 30-35 people are there.

The point being is that 25-30 people on one map (for the lowest 3 servers) is a fairly substantial number of participants.

Thats our number in the whole 4 Borderlands too. And yeah I added up some more numbers cause I think its around 25-30 but I said 35. But w/e really its not anyone’s fault! All we can do now is to try harder which we are already doing.

Reading through this and a few other threads one thing I have noticed the ET and FC people saying is: SF is persistent. That is the largest difference I noticed. I cannot speak for FC, but on ET just have many of you have attested to in this thread, one defeat or route and ET abandons ship…that is one of the things that made me sour on the server to begin with….With SF, they just get mad and keep pushing…I have said many times since coming here that SF runs on negative reinforcement. If everything we are trying doesnt work they dont go run a dungeon; they figure out how to get it done even if that means PVDOOR or rushing a sieged area over and over until we cap it.

It is very hard to keep up morale in this matchup, trust me I know, it aint great over on the “winning side” either….as for the people argument, its not that we have more, we just have more in WvW, when the chips are down.

Well the problem is if you are defending for over 10 hours and doing well, the people with you will start to disappear cause its a long period of time and most players want to have fun and defending is not fun for most of them sadly, mostly cause they know its hard to keep up sometimes. So why I said they are persistent it is because we were defending against them for over 10 hours and doing well BUT they never stopped and kept getting more players while we lost many players. If you think our players don’t put alot into it tell me how can you hold a borderland for over 10 hours while you are outmanned. Again I am not complaining about the numbers cause its not your fault or anyone’s else, that’s how WvW is. I am just telling you that saying SFs are persistent doesn’t mean we are giving up against them.

Well TBH this week is the most tiring for me I admit. SFs are persistent, even if we held a tower for over an hour and a half they will just keep coming which already happened.
But yeah that’s how WvW is and I wont complain about it!
I still enjoy fighting you guys and I hope you move up since it is better for both of us xD

hanging around ET night/morning crew is very funny. Well SFs are doing a great job defending their stuff in EB sometimes
