If anybody has the time to create a couple extra chat commands, it’d be really lovely to see some new emotes, such as ones that let you get the knocked-down and/or “downed” poses without requiring being attacked. Useful for RP and also for just messing around.

Neither of my other two thieves are 80 yet, so they don’t have proper builds.

A note to ANet, particularly the writers:

It will be a massive disappointment and generally a bad narrative move if Lazarus turns out to be a fake. I truly hope that you’re doing what I would, and remembering that Justicar Bauer supported Operation: Rebirth and would have more likely lied to Caudecus about his supposed switch of the artifacts.

Please, please don’t take the route I think you will and remove the last living Mursaat from the storyline forever, it would be a pointless and stupid waste of both game assets and story potential. Especially since you’ve created all the Mursaat connections with BoTP, the fortress in Ember Bay, and the Eye of Janthir. Please don’t tell me that the glorious, fully animated reveal of Lazarus the Dire returned from his slumber, as well as all the Mursaat assets you’ve added to the game, was all building up to essentially a “lol jk” moment.

Don’t break my heart like this, guys. For the love of your universe and the Eagle Scout letter you sent me, please don’t. I’m not asking you to spoil the coming story, but… throw me a bone here. Don’t make all the Lazarus hype you generated worth nothing.

You sent me a letter of congratulation when I earned Eagle Scout, so you know you can give my words consideration. I salute you, loyal devs.

Really love to see the Hexed Outfit make a return, since I missed its first run.

To preface this, these are mostly going to be suggestions for skins. These skins might be a little… Complicated...read: insane and probably infuriating to texture and/or model correctly, but if they’re possible it would be fantastic.

So. Enough rambling.

Armor skins, aka the kind of thing you put on new important NPCs to hype them:
- A shoulder skin that looks like a poncho-style Mino (Japanese straw cloak which was basically a poor man’s raincoat) or better yet, an outfit that includes this, especially on the Asura model.
- <salt> A helm skin that actually looks plausible on Asura. Like maybe a hood with ear pockets or something. Especially for heavy armor, Asura are lacking in helmets that don’t require the apparent crushing and/or severance of ears. </salt>
- Glove skins resembling cesti or knuckle dusters.
- A ragged, torn-up chest skin that looks like layer upon layer of rags accumulated over a long time spent traveling in destitute conditions. (Description?)
- an all-classes helm skin that gives them a single Oni horn from the center of their forehead.

Weapon Skins. Unique, black lion, NPC or otherwise.
- Skins resembling eastern blades for the following weapons:
~ sword (katana, tsurugi, hook swords, etc.)
~ dagger (tanto/wakizashi/kodachi)
~ mace (tetsubo)
- a focus skin that looks like a string of prayer beads
- a focus skin that looks like an Ofuda

Other things, i.e. Actual new ideas for gemstore items instead of just new skins.
- something to convert combat boosts (for those who don’t use them) into other kinds of boosts like karma or exp boosts. And vice versa I guess.
- a convenience item that allows you to select an event so that upon its initialization, you are teleported there. For example, if you’re sick of missing out on the Bloodstone-crazed Wyvern event for the fortieth kitten time in a row (entirely hypothetically of course) you can use this item in verdant brink, select that event, and then when someone next spawns the wyvern over in good old VB, you get a popup that will let you choose to get dragged there as though you had waypointed.
- a mini set of basically two children of each race so having one of said minis is like your character having some adoring small follower (or squire, or apprentice or literal child.) maybe give it some job-o-tron-backpack style dialogue every now and then.

ANet, I apologize for my neediness, don’t take anything here too seriously I guess. Unless you think it’s a good idea to add to the game, then take it VERY seriously.

I have no problem with the asura one, but I do think that the charr one needs to have, in the words of tumblr, either six boobs or none.

Speaking for the majority of the gw2 community on tumblr, we need different underwear options for everyone, even if they’re gemstone items. Probably not more than like 10 gems apiece, but in a nice variety.

-Tends to be very precise and dainty when fighting, but lazy and sloppy literally everywhere else

okay seriously.
We need some updates to the crafting. Some ideas are:

-making it cost LESS than 40 dollars worth of gold to get to rank 400
-Letting us name our crafted weapons and armor
-Jesus Christ I’m not even going to begin on legendaries

seriously crafting is waaaaay too expensive and scales waaaaay too slowly.
Good luck fixing this, ANet. I do not have high hopes.

Thieves have something to do with either kits or staffs,

That said, thief getting a Rifle sounds more plausible than a staff, because that would give all but like two classes the ability to wield a staff and thieves with rifles could become sniper-y assassins( Do not let me down on this ANet),

and of course rangers become the Druid.

If they bring back the mechanic used in the Branded Zombie Apocalypse from the beta, sans revive-as-a-zombie mechanic of course, that would effectively allow players to have sylvari characters that experienced the Calling. ANet is historically bad about checking threads that might imply they should put more work into the game, so i’m not holding my breath.

that said, FEEL FREE TO PROVE ME WRONG. DO IT. PLEASE.

Until then, we can vainly hope.

Attempting to /whisper a player who has their friend list set to make them show up as “Invisible” causes the message to fail on grounds that “The player you are trying to whisper is offline.” Not a pressing concern, but it irritates me when I try to contact non-guildies.

i just started playing a Sylvari Mesmer, cycle of night, white stag dream, etc. I’ve tracked down the white stag with Gavin, and he invites me to join the nightmare court.

I WANT AN OPTION TO AGREE.

i think the game would be much more immersive if one could choose to be part of the Inquest/Nightmare Court/Flame Legion/ etc. What’s wrong with being an antihero? Using the power of the dark to fight the dark, as it were. seriously this is something ANet needs to consider.

Here are some emotes that I think would be a highly beneficial addition to gw2:
/flirt or /kiss both of which are self-explanatory
/joke for a pratfall or similar
/duel for a not-so-serious combat challenge
And something race-specific like Asura getting a little holographic control panel thing and Charr saluting or whatever.

foreword: PLEASE no kitten-and-popcorn mode; These are ELITE SKILLS. They’re supposed to be somewhat overpowered. also, due to the MASSIVE ammount of east-asia cultural influences on these ideas, great idea for the over-hyped and probably-never-happening return of Cantha.

Suggested Elite Skills; based on some ideas by me and some friends. CONSTRUCTIVE criticism is appreciated.

Warrior: Summon Bushido Spirit: Summons an NPC similar to Thieves Guild or Phantasmal Duelist and dressed in Shadow Assassin outfit. NPC wields a single-hand sword with no offhand weapon. Persists for thirty seconds, with a 140-second cooldown.

Thief: Kamaitachi: Requires stealth. range 1200. deals 5000-10000 damage and inflicts 10 stacks of bleed. 600-second cooldown. Impossible to Crit.

Mesmer: Phantasmal Thorns: AoE 1500. grants 5 stacks of a special condition, Thorn Hostage, that immobilizes. hits to the affected remove a stack of Thorn Hostage and deal 1000 extra damage. inspired by Log Horizon.

Further suggestions for classes i left out appreciated!

Edit: Reduced the damage of Kamaitachi and made it impossible to Crit with, so it’s less “ridiculous” as Yelloweyedemon so helpfully pointed out; and redesigned Phantasmal Thorns.

C- can see POSSIBLE futures, but not THE future because it is in flux and hasn’t happened yet (This is my personal supported theory)
D- Had her prophetic ability messed with by kralkatorrik so she can’t spy on her master
E- was just lazily written

Two words: unarmed combat.
I wanna be able to do martial arts, not just swords and rifles and scepters and stuff. So who’s with me?!

I suggest selectable “unarmed” styles, or even just knuckledusters as a weapon.
Anet, do not disappoint me.

All the asura armor is the same on both genders. I find it hard to believe that asura are so predominantly intellectual that they have no concept of “sexiness.” I want to be able to make my female asura look a little more seductive than any armor I’ve seen will allow. Further, armor that on humans/norn/sylvari looks incredibly sexy, bordering on skimpy, looks demure and honestly kind of prudish on female asura. Why is this?

Ps. If any of the devs see this, I WANT YOU TO SERIOUSLY CONSIDER CHANGING THIS because it would make the game that much more fun.

My alt is a cute little necro by the name of Saqqua. She appears to be a shy and demure initiate of the order of whispers, but her bespectacled shyness is but a ruse. She’s an exhibitionist and a flirt, and has no concept of the words “public decency.” Unlike her colleagues, she’s more interested in women, particularly sylvari.

I just learned via the wiki how to use the /me command. I was (somewhat) elated as this basically means CUSTOM EMOTES which is wonderful. However. A friend of mine who doesn’t play (we’ll call him “Eddie”) has noticed (and subsequently informed me) that this emote has enormous potential for “misuse”. Quotes around the word misuse because I don’t think this is a bad thing, it makes the game even more fun and deepens the role playing experience. But I’ll stop beating around the bush. He thinks that it could be used for creating “odd, pervy, or just downright wrong” emotes.

I want some feedback on this. I mean, we’re gamers, so a pervy comment here and there is fine, especially with the chat-filtering options available. Is Eddie blowing things out of proportion? Or is this serious?

seriously, why is she there? i tried interacting with her and she just vanishes. is Anet going to make it so that she gives us the Delaqua Family Blade that a friend of mine found while data mining?

First we had the Spinal Blades, which took a metric kitten -ton of expensive materials, but that being a one-off thing might have been acceptable. now we have another Uber-expensive backpiece, Mawdrey, that has no business being so hard to make because it is unattainable for those of us who don’t have as much time to spend on the game. I beg of ye ANet, FIX MAWDREY.

(or if that brings it down too much, at least make the Cultivated Vine backpiece easier to make, plant food should not require a crafting level of 400 [nor, for that matter, should a CLAY POT]. i have a level 37 who has never seen combat and i’m still only at 179.)

Suggestion: for the Cultivated Vine, have the mystic forge thing be the seed, the clay pot, they ley line stone or the chaos orb, and then maybe a stack of bloodstone dust or something.

Or maybe Taimi used her waypoint- leyline manipulation device to create a spike in the grove’s waypoint to guide the mordrem there. Those asura can not be trusted anyway and have been known to experiment with he sylvari for quite some time now. They probably are behind the whole thing anyway….

You sir, just don’t like Asura. Though i admit they may seem a LITTLE untrustworthy, i think it might be something else.

We went into Omadd’s machine before, and after scarlet did that she had Mordremoth talking to her constantly. perhaps We, the player, are unconsciously providing ol’ Morty with information?

Maybe Teyo? Or that chick from SE p3?

As was stated in the short story about Ceara becoming Scarlet, looking into the Eternal Alchemy and being noticed/touched by Mordremoth gave scarlet some of his abilities (the thorny vines and whatnot). Since, in the final story instance of the Entanglement release, the players look into the Eternal Alchemy with Omadd’s Machine, I’d like to ask the dev’s about giving each race or class (whichever, it doesn’t matter) a Mordremoth-inspired utility skill. I’m thinking along the lines of Jungle Tendril pets or immobilizing abilities, maybe a tendril-based trap skill.

(Oh, and we’d REALLY love Belinda’s Nodachi to appear as a reward or gem store item or something, but that’s beside the point)
