No problem! Yeah, the thief definitely plays a lot different in this game than it does in other games with a “rogue” type of class. But hey, you know what they say. The first step at being awesome at something is usually sucking at it at first :P
The leveling in this game can be pretty tedious. The fastest way to level by far is to just craft, but that requires a ton of money (esp. now with the release of ascended armor). If you don’t have the gold to craft up your levels I’d suggest just doing map completion and basically every random event that you come across. It might take you a couple weeks but once you get 80 and gear up your toon you’ll be having tons of fun
I wouldn’t craft a full set of cavalier gear personally. I think it’s too much of a drop in power. I’d maybe mix in a cavalier trinket/weapon or two into your build and maybe use foods that give you power to compensate for the power loss.
I’d kinda go ahead and mess around with builds yourself. Really see what you what weapon sets and trait combinations you feel comfortable playing with :D

I don’t even think adding more fluidity to the thief AA would be too much of a bad thing. We’d still revealed for a whole second more. More time for people to remember where their dodge button is and avoid the CnD ^.^
Don’t listen to those people. Just learn to adapt to the changes and make the best out of it

As far as I understood the two abilities specifically state getting nerfs were Mug and Stealth.
Shadow Refuge and Shadow Rejuvenation should not be changed.
If anything they should buff rejuv by 20% to compensate for nerf, imo.
Okay thanks. I wouldn’t mind a buff as compensation but tbh I think it’ll be fine if it stays how it is. We’ll just have to wait and see. Wouldn’t want this skill to be added to AN’s list-of-eventual-thief-nerfs -
Was there anything said during the SotG about a possible nerf to SR(I haven’t had time to really see it or read up on it ;_;)? The reveal debuff I can deal with, but I’d really like to keep the awesome regen SR gives us. Sorry in advance if this has already been answered in other threads.

Imo they’re both great. I switch between the two very often because my build pretty much lets me (wvw). I feel that the dmg is slightly better on d/d but s/d’s Infiltrator’s Strike is invaluable tool to harass people. Always try to pop it around corners or near ledges(especially effective if you’re spec’d with Descent Of Shadows) and kind of poke at people until they blow all their cooldowns then interrupt heal > beat them to the ground.

I’m having this problem when I try to dye my T3 Sylvari Medium Armor to Midnight Fire. I dye the top and then the dye switches to the dye remove right when I exit the Hero Panel. ;_;

I assume they only buffed this because they made the IMS signets for the other classes from 10% to 25%. I’m w/e with it but I’m sure they could’ve buffed pistols a bit more -

Change the skill completely. Turn it into a skill that summons a flying shark with a laser attached to it’s head.
I definitely agree with the OP on Unload and Ricochet. Unload needs some sort of condition element to it and Ricochet’s 7% chance is lame/unreliable.
What Dagins said. You could make it even shorter but using the DA trait that gives venoms 20% less cd, giving them a 36 sec cd. What they really need is to buff the range on Venamous Aura. Tired of having to go hugging distance from my allies just to share venoms.

Run Venomous Aura and use Devourer venom and Basilisk venom. Use it while running along side a zerg and laugh as you enemies get aoe immobilize and stone.
Trying to get the CoF gloves. I think it looks pretty alright with those gloves though ^^

I usually just run a condition spec and use Shortbow/DD for AoE condition spread. Effective if you stay at max range of your SB and kind of poke at people. If people get too close just be sure to time your dodges and Death Blossoms to avoid any damage (although usually hard to do with all the CC).
