As the subject says, looking for a chilled group to go through the challenges. Im on daily 18:00 +3GMT up to 21:00, 2 hours after for WvW raid.

I was told yesterday that I am a bad player. My reply was very simple “Im here for a skin and i dont care what you think, i know im doing my best”

Honestly though, i hate PvP but there is nice skin tied to it =/

Well, you have a lot of options :
-Play late at night (or really early), the level is more balanced during those times
-Quit your job and play all day, that’s the brute force methods.
-Find a premade of 2-3 members with good guildies.
-Having the luck to get a winning streak. That was my case from ruby tier 1 to ruby tier 5. I’m now blocked in this tier. I’m trying the brute force method myself there.

Well, to be fair i found a decent group about 2 days ago and glued my self to them, really nice people.. but that was Emerald which is done.

Last night was horrible, a loosing streak plus all the salt on map / team chat. I deffo cant go brute force so i’ll just HOPE i get lucky with a winning streak somehow..

Man .. PvP is TOXIC!

Hey everyone

A few days ago i decided to do PvP for the ascended back skin, which means up to Ruby and no more, i absolutely have no plans to go further since im not a PvP fanboy.

Now the thing is, I spent most of my day earning and loosing two pips in saphire! I dont have a solid group to go through tiers with so I am forced to que randomly, which brings with it:

• Random team comp.
• Players whoa are clueless to the very basic tactics
• Constant dis-advantage due to classes like thieves and rangers being packed in one party.

Please dont get me wrong here, im less than an average PvPer, but i go in the match with a winning mindset and I use + Inform the team of the basic tactic. Consider all the above as blowing out steam.

My question: how am i (the average player with limited play time) supposed to advance through tiers when a couple of pips takes a whole day to earn and each tier has 5 of them! I tried my best all day but honestly i just gave up since its so random you can keep loosing for the entire play time which normally led me to the thought of quitting and forget about the skin.

If you have any ideas or suggestions Im all ears!

Been playing necro since GW1, and all the way in GW2. I’m a hrdcore WvW player, not so much into PvP but I do PvP casually. Spending sometime in the ranked i ran into really bad necros, no where near OP, and im playing necro myself. I remember killing a a necro who got down so fast I clicked on him again since i thought i was killing something else!

Zergs tho are a different story, but I wont talk about that since its easy, but in Guild raids you cant yolo, but you will definitely have a huge impact damage wise, that if you know what you’re doing, also finishing downed players is easy on shroud, just press 2 then 4 you can finish what ever is down there.

On 1 vs 1 encounters, scrappers get me, the fight drags, exchanging hand shakes and stuff but eventually, they get me, it wont be the case if we were ‘That’ OP.

Banners are a privilege, you work hard to obtain them and their existence is legit! Claiming a keep, tower or SM finally means something, having a banner means that you are working hard for your guild which reflects on the ground and gives you an advantage.

When our group of 20 players is pushed by a mindless blob of 60, i’d love to have a banner or two on my side, that’s the balance i need to take out such a blob. almost on every encounter with enemy servers the opposing group had a banner carrier on their side.

Banner skills can be avoided and dodged just like any other skill, stay on alert and have some environment awareness and you should be fine, adapt instead of moaning.

The problem is that this 60 man blob will have 3 banners.

Am afraid that EOTM will be dead soon. I have been in 6 EOTM yesterday and it was just baghunting. Within 30min our zerg went from 50 to 15. After one hour of baghunting, the tag left so anybody else.
Most people like to do the objectives of the map and when they can’t do it, they just leave. Anet did a great job on the new BL, but some people wont understand that baghunting is what killing WvW. Anyhow am only doing EOTM for dailies, since this baghunting is getting excessive.

On that, EOTM had always been a place where ppl come to ‘Grind Xp’ and ‘Bags’ – the only complaint I heard about EOTM is that the XP gain was nerfed, personally i dislike EOTM, there is no skill or tactics whatsoever in fights overthere, itsjust groups running in circles capping objectives and grinding champ bags!

You see, nothing remains the same and everything changes, now you either adapt to whatever is changing, or just turn your back and leave, personal opinions and demands.

Im a hardcore WvW player, its the most fun im having in the game, yes many things has changed, and for some people the new maps KILLED the sole joy they had in WvW, but isnt this the way whenever a new expansion comes out?! People keep demanding new content and changes and when they hit ‘BAM’ they quit!

Imho, this game offers a lot for a F2P game, and I have taken my share into many MANY MMO’s, and not a single game offers something like WvW at least in the mean time.

We are still raiding and we are having fights and enjoying our time, automating upgrades gives raiders like me the time to focus on fighting and killing other groups, and the role of a Scout will never die off, the BL’s does not scout them selves!

Hello..

One of the main reasons that made me choose necro to play on GW1 was the Elite Scar Armor. Yes there were many nice sets and might be much more better looking and have many details, but that set was special, unique, hell its full body tattoo .. hah!

Its one of the things that I wish i’d see coming back on GW2, my hopes are not so high & on the most part i dont believe it’ll happen, but even if it came back through gemstore, i’ll pay real money for that set.
