With power, prec, hp you will have also ferocity..

Think to use gear system (runes, sigil, ecc as rune of the traveler) for solve some issue on guardian… is WRONG…

You only make this class more bad than now… we will not free to build and set up the gear that we want…..

also i don’t understand why after all have seen these problems with the conditions meta, in the new patch we see items pro conditions…………

another thing… why necro, that have 2 health pool, have more life than all the others class… necro have to switch health pool, also guardian have to raise his health, almost have the same life of the ranger/mesmer

I am also of the opinion that this skill is used up in the WVW, within a zerk.

Belonging to that case, I’d use it in PvE and not even in pvp …. so in the end not even the guardian is deriving benefit from this skill.

I chose the answer “Tarsius.3170” so as to put highlights in his work and the differences with the other heals ..

Gradierei anyway to know other opinions and tests carried out in person.

I agree .. I do not think the average player spends the money earned in game or purchased to buy a suit of the city.

I believe that the idea of the town clothes, it had been nice in the beginning but it didn’t go into port .. I don’t see people who prefer to hide a sunrise to wear any town clothes

Hi I have bought GW2 game when the pre launch! i bought the Digital Delux Version.. I would like to know since i purchased a year back on the pre launch and i didnt get the "Suit of Legacy Armor, Mithril Box, 10 Experience Boosters " is there any way that i can get them? i am playing Guild Wars for past 6years from the old GW1. I thought if there is a change of getting them it would be appriciatable. Looking forward

no changes to meta 10/30/0/10/20 or 10/30/0/5/25 builds. 10/25/0/10/25 and 10/30/0/0/30 spreads are also just as usable though latter build might be wanting for some vigour in high fractals and harder dungeons.

RIP my guard and time to dust off my war.
its been 2.1k hour fun play time

I’ll finish to building up my war too. More options, and maybe even more support than guard. This is sad.

same.. 3/4 of my hours are for the guardian.. and i have 4 pg lv 80 xD

but i don’t wanna to change for the warrior.. i will continue to play the guardian and leave my warrior for wvw.. but this situation sucks…

My list should be short and to the point.

  1. We need more CC to keep a target in the fight.
  2. We need more mobility the and the “You can bunker”, reason is pointless now.
  3. We need a better ranged option than what we have now.
  4. We need access to a better condition build that just burning.
  5. We need more HP or better passive healing at base.
  6. *We need a dev (even if it is lip service) to come here and at the very least say, “We are looking into it.” Honestly it could be BS but it is nice to hear.
  7. We need less people tossing out crazy OP ideas. Be logical and constructive. We are unlikely to see changes based on our ideas but we can attempt to remind the devs people still want to play this class.

but no one think we need a replacement of the stats given with traits points?
i am speaking about the virtues traits.. we have just difficult to set up a balanced stats build. spend points in virtues not help us more.. yes a lot of utilities but they have to separate boon duration and recharge virtues rate (ele have the same problem).

they have to move also vitality bonus in a trait line more offensive not vitality + healing power….. because this made us to follow only 2 ways… 20k vitality “tank” build or a pure glass cannon blinder (more glassy than a mesmer! Bit*h please….. )

So i think we don’t need fix or upgrade but more a rework….. more balanced traits and major traits that have sense (i wanna see more traits as the warrior 20% cd + an effect for weapon)

also for the spirit weapons.. a trait line as the ranger for the spirit build…

Lol go level a mesmer and then come back and tell me how guards are SOOOO SLOW. I’m sorry I know guards need some mobility love. But I think there is some exaggeration here

mesmer have to have more access to swiftness or other ideas for leave they move better out of fight (maybe a warhorn that give swiftness)

but also guardians need help.. guardian have teleports ok but not help us out of fight.. and yes we have switness but we can’t bring it so easily because anet obbl us to use other skills for survive

PoV hit us too hard in WvW, i just experienced it and it frankly makes me not want to play much anymore. Purging flames is not a good enough replacement for condition clearing.

The only thing I will suggest it perhaps trying, as a group, to cycle Save Yourselves and the Meditation Contemplation of Purity. So Guardian 1 uses the 2 skills together and then Guardian 2. etc…

Or if you are pugging, just slot the Meditation as your 3rd skill and use when desperate.

And yeah this was a painful nerf.

this is a good idea.. but this show to us how much that is bad…
You can’t remove all these cond without organisation.

I have just switch my traits in 10 30 0 10 20
using shelter | judge interv | SyG | purging flame
and switch they when i think that i need more cond remove.. but it isn’t the same.. they have made us to switch all for a DPS build or a “tank” build that HAVE TO have soldier runes…

I don’t understand this PoV fix.. i thought they were testing it and with the patch it would be confirmed.

now i see only 2 or 3 builds available for the guardian.. pure dps or pure bunker point cover… yes exist F1 dps with AH or meditation build but they are hybrid…

Why have i to still to use my guardian? this is a boring moment for this class, and i hate it.. this is the my main and pref class but why do we sucks in traits organisation -.- ?

P.S. and warrios have every weapon 20% cd with a second effect for his skills.

i think guardian situation will be resolved with a rework, as for mesmer and other class.. so we have to wait an expansion for see something right….

am I the only one that tries to match all my weapons? like, getting all blue-firey weapons or all shiny-metal weapons

right now im carrying a legionaire mace with the guild defender shield and the AC sword with that skull torch that has blue fire, I don’t quite like the AC sword, but is the only 1h sword with blue flames

I think that this patch is not to be thrown away but there are still details that would have to say ..

Increasingly promotes the fact that Anet would like to build more affordable for all classes, and just this side even for DPS guardian who has easier access to meditations (enough to make a change to the maximum traits), the latest and greatest tank is buffata was perhaps the idea of ??making more use of the consecrations but if this can work in dungeons or pvp, I do not see how it can help in WVW, where you need more mobility and therefore you can not take full advantage of the game of consecration.

Obviously I do not want you unleashing the usual fuss of the type:

  • AH is useless
  • Do not need anything to play tank

People play what they want then forget it.

I think the keeper should have had access to more mobility so you can begin to make a paragon warrior with ok because the guardian has utility and gives various types of boons but you can compare the moves of movement with those of the warrior …

The side Banish acceptable in comparison by the skill of the warrior was the fact that you could cast Banish in movement. Now there’s just no comparison more.

my fear is the guardian was created a little too much with the idea of ??mage – warrior.

For goodness sake the guardian has an endless kitten nal of utilities but they are really necessary ?
Especially with the current meta the only thing you really need to do is dps .

We know that the guardian may move in that side but no one notices how have life too hard in that aspect ? as if it hadn’t been designed for that role. Surely it must and can have access to being DPS but it seems that in that side should be a passive spectator.. the mate for a warrior .

the factor of how much is easily create certain build for certain classes which makes me think more and more that the guardian is a mage with heavy armor , and not a “Paladin” .

P.S. I repeat I do not want to be formed fuss so I just wanted to point out the fact that even as the version for the DPS warrior is thus facilitated , however, while the guardian should lose those bonus stats of traits.

P.P.S. yes, the guardian has received a buff either version bunker, which in the DPS build but in the end were not resolved certain issues such as mobility, etc. … While other classes instead as has been shown, have been improved where they had their problems, not all … but something yes.. I only hope that PoV will not be fixed, but officially upgraded.

well yeah thats fine enough.
You can also consider dolyak or endure pain, even if higher on CD, atleast you get other things along side with the break stun.
Since you already have one.

1 break stun could it be ok for 1vs1? i don’t think.. better 2..

also in no 1vs1… more than 1 stun break will be ok..

sigil dolyak when i have just stability thx stun is too..

after that the first skill no stun break that i will may pick is FgJ or signet stamina..

as stun break i could use stomp but is easily to dodge no?

endure pain mmm but 60 sec cd? in 1vs1 maybe i will use it 1 time same signet….

well this is a spin off of the mace/Gs build. And a much weaker at that than the Mace counterpart. altough you gain that mobility.
Could I suggest you turning to the dark side of the mace? no? Oh well.

First thing that comes to my mind is to remove shield mastery and get cleansing ire.
And than Swap Mending for Signet.
there is a reason why every warrior and his dog run like that.
Now you can also replace shake it off, since the condition removal from cleansing ire should be decent enough for you to take another utility. Maybe signet of stamina.

btw: are you skipping flurry to 100b the immobilized target? that’s the only way I can see you landing a full 100b on anyone with half a brain with this weapon setup.
Just curious on how are you currently using 100b

ahha i have just changed cleansing ire for shield and mending for signet XD

for the 100b blades i don’t look for a full it.. but use 100b and spin for raise might and also do damage.

for a 100b i have:

F1 sword (ok is an immobilize but could work), 4 shield (20 CD), bull’s charge.

I wanted to post here because I’m looking for some suggestions, mainly talking about traits more than the gear.

I will not even change weapon sets .. I like the mobility that the sword and the GS offer ..

Normally my strategy is based on exploiting 100b also to raise the might and then when the opponent has less than 50% of life change in sword use the 3, using the chain of 1, 4 shield, and then again Greatsword.

Any idea? suggestion? change I should do?

You can put the extra points at radiance to get the extra 10% damage on targets with conditions, and honor (PoV), radiance and virtues, just virtues (master of consecrations and absolute resolution) or maybe virtues and honor, but that’s pretty much the core of it.
As for the scepter question – Scepter is too much situational for my tastes, and doesn’t always means an increase to my dps, so i stick to GS (dropping RHS and focusing into precision runes is actually what i’m trying to change right now).
Also, 0/30/0/30/10 was my very first guardian build after i dropped AH. It is cool, and pretty much failproof for me, but i like the extra damage on fiery wrath.

in your case I would seize to think, however, to change the GS with the scepter for “radiance XI” already tried? simple curiosity and know new points of view.

However, if the anticipation of the patch of 15 October are true meditations will give fury but with “monk’s focus” perhaps in that case rivaluterai something or not .. However, for safety I would recommend you do not buy anything before the patch

Edit: another idea for your build will be, but losing a few of dps.. move 10 points from zeal to virtues. for consacration CD, 20% damage with aegis, and thx the F1 spam you will have also might spam. what do you think about this?

Why can’t people accept that AH is a bad trait and move on?
I mean, anybody is free to use it if they want to, for whatever reason it is, but there is no need to get upset about the fact that it is a bad trait (well, valor in general is pretty meh) at PvE.

bad trait… you can’t say it is a bad trait… as your personal opinion you can say “you don’t need it”

but at numbers it isn’t a bad trait… work well for what it have to do.. heal with boons.. we have a guardian.. it give a lot of boons, we have also shouts for boons…. symbols….

ok … Without starting a long talk about how this new news is disheartening , to say the least ….

And belonging that instead of thinking that living story can ensure that players do not leave the game you should listen to what the players themselves require : fix dungeons, precursors, skills (with a future patch not now), characters builds (but i can see something move on the way for this 15th oct )….

I understand that the basic idea of the game was to create a world in constant development, but it is not working …. want it to be because the rewards for doing the archievements of living story are not interesting ( a MiniPet for 15 archievements ? -.- )….
But instead of releasing new content every month or every 15 days, you could wait for more …. 2 months ? the contents were more elaborate … reward the most interesting … I think you would have the financial resources to work well with others issue …. For example, this issue precursor …..

That said, when there was a patch of reward according to archievements, I was hoping that they had finally reached a solution for the note … to a certain amount of archievements we give you a precursor … 1 only .. this would have made it so easy …. but this has not been done and I do not understand why ..

Having said that and understanding that maybe create a system for the craft of the Precursor is complicated and laborious , why not find an easier solution for the moment ?

Each account can receive as a gift of your choice 1 precursor ( tell me if account bound or not ) thanks to a special archievement .
To get it you have to reach certain requirements :

  • Archievements at least 6000 ….
  • Dungeons master title
  • Have completed the map at least 1 time
  • Get all 10 archievements "boss " (even tequila if you want)

Do you see people if you agree with me but I would think the only way we can see how to get this one for free Precursor a person must have :

  • Played at least a few months to GW2 because archievements
  • Have tried every content ( ok no fractal ) in the game .. I talk about dungeons no activity .
  • Seeing the world that GW2 offers and appagari so once again all that side of the staff who worked behind .
  • Archievements "boss " …. once again involves exploring the world of GW2 and then learn various aspects of the game itself.

Also I believe the only way you would have the following advantages:

  • Ensure that the player does not stop to play so easily, giving to him a goal not impossible but not immediate.
  • Keep active play
  • Raise awareness around the world of GW2 that would seem to be of interest to Anet, just look at the patch that covered the world bosses.
  • Does not reward any china farmer.
  • To have a second precursor with this system you have to buy the game one more time

We increased the power of many support skills which weren’t seeing much play. We reworked Purging Flames: it now removes three conditions from allies in an area effect around the guardian on cast while still burning enemies (enemies that enter or exit the flames are still burned). Once the skill has been cast, it then reduces condition duration for allies who remain in the consecration’s area. It’s hawt. Literally. All meditation utility skills are now instant, and monks focus now grants fury on meditation use.

Foop… We aren’t saying that the shield is useless etc. ….
Otherwise nobody would use it ,
what you’re saying that all do not understand anything because they aren’t intelligent .

What you say , that the shield must be played intelligently is pretty much just play with 2 situational skills to be played properly require timing … Now I do not think any other weapon of this game and even the aforementioned shield is designed to be used in a manner so meticulous and in this way .

Apart from that I see much more useful than the staff than a shield (for might and for the heal)

As for pvp I think an item , it may be useful, with skills with so much CD are daunting.

So that’s why I believe this topic was born , to make sure that other people may be planning to use the shield …

WVW use ? shield ? now would you compare to me the shield with the staff in WVW ? Anyone who has a guardian with experience in WVW think that the staff is one of things to never take off, except if you play with the sword or scepter …

I wish that the shield will be not situational or saved for some cases , I would like that the shield had all the possibility of being used in an optimal way everywhere and that there is a doubt in the minds of the players that if you want to use the staff or shield

The shield is 100% fine. Unlike some of the button mashing weapons though, the shield actually takes know-how to use as well as good timing. Learn to play.

So mash 4 on Cooldown, huge aoe dmg/buff (low skill) and for absorption hope enemies don’t have stability or it’s worthless. Right?

No actually not at all. I believe you should use the #4 skill when you are able to hit the most targets, and/or when your allies are about to take large amounts of burst damage. If an ally of yours is being focused down, don’t sit there clueless, THAT is the moment you should have saved the skill for. That is when they need it most. If you’re using shield of judgement for it’s aoe damage… you’re just wrong.

As for absorption, apparently you don’t realize that it’s more than just a knockback. It’s very versatile depending on whether you’re fighting your opponent in melee or at range.

If at range simply pop the skill and continue on. You don’t even need to watch the entire animation, just pop it pull it back down immediately and it will continue to block every single blockable projectile for you and all allies inside for 4 whole seconds. If timed right, that is HUGE. NO other profession comes close to doing anything like that.

If in melee combat, use the shield for the knockback, then immediately detonate. If your opponent has stability, as a guardian you can’t really do a lot about it but try to knockback before they can pop their stability. Just know your opponent if possible. Even if you can’t knock them back (which 9/10 times you can) you should immediately detonate it for the 1k+ healing for you and nearby allies.

If you still disagree with me, that’s fine. You’re more than welcome to use focus or whatever you like. The shield however, DOES have it’s place and I encourage you to try to get good with it if you want some extra CC and helping protect from ranged fights.

you yourself have said at the time the use of the shield is all focused on the “do not use the skills” but to use them in an intelligent manner. Saving them and keeping them for special occasions.

This is the issue of your “skilled”, knowing when to use them ….. Ok thanks for the revelation, but what is meant here is that some changes to the skills would be welcome here ….
Why I do not think the game was designed for a “rescue” skills for certain times, but in a system of using skills in rotation; Where you can do combinations of moves for example by using a GS and maybe having to change weapon but always with a 5 of the shield, after having exhausted the skills resume in the hands of the GS’s CD will now be completed, or nearly so ….

Shukay buddy, I think you need to try using Sanctuary… that seems to be more like what you’re talking about. If you were to use all your suggestions there, you’d have to have a really long cooldown for it to not be overpowered.

i suggest some utilities.. but the focus of all were 2 thing…

4 as a blast finisher
5 you can move….

because it must be hard to choose between shield or staff.

of course, i am the first to say that I exaggerated on some things but I gave an idea of I meant …

and remember that Sanctuary also makes sure that no enemy can enter. This combined with the regeneration and protection from projectiles implies that it has a high cooldown obvious

A flail is no mace in terms of how the weapon functionizes… a flail (also known as Morning Star) is a metal ball with many thorns, attached to a chain that is again attached to a grip… A mace is just a grip together with a blunt weapon head with lesser range, than a flail.

Howeve,r I see, what you mean with a skin, because basically a Flail is an modified version of a mace. However, you fight with a mace completely different, than you fight with a flail and thats something that could be used for different functionizing weapon skills.

Katanas are just swords and no, I don’t wan to see in GW2 tons of Sephiroth Clones running around with huge 2H katanas with way too long blades.

Its already bad to see, how many people in GW2 all just run around with 2H swords, only because of the game having for them 2,5 different legendary weapons, while all others have only 1

it isn’t for the 2 legendary….. is because anet made the use of GS pretty better than hammers or staff….. mobility, hight damage…. yes hammer have a lot of cc but for the moment in the game DPS > CC so all use GS….

i really like play with hammer as guardian but the GS is better for dungeons, mobility in wvw and the 5 of GS

also the houndred blade of the warrior….

When anet will add new type of weapons i think they start to think about weapons for some class as the engineer that can wield only pistols. shield. rifle. (ok he have kits but is an another thing)

2h katana – Guardians, warriors, thief,
1h katana – thief, mesmer,
Halberds – Guardian, warrior

Flails? maybe be a skin for the mace.. yes also the katana

greataxe – warrior, guardian
Lances – Warrior, ranger
Nunchucks – thief
Crossbow – engineer, thief

Shortbow – available for mesmer
Rifle – available for ranger (gods ranger is an hunter, ok he have also shortbow and longbow…. but ranger have to wield the rifle…)
unharmed? oh sweet.. but i think it is available only for warriors..
racial weapons – this is a good idea

but the guardian lose a lot of stats only for have utilities..
against a warrior, that can have perma swiftness also might and vulner on enemy, the warrior can easy be builded as dps because he have a lot of life… Guardian can do dps? yes, obviously but against? he have a really low base health that made a guardian survive only thx timed a mix of skills….
That cause a lot of guardians build more the way of tanky than dps..

so we can start to see something like a trinity no? i don’t think this is correct…
you couldn’t build a guardian with hight res and also hight damage as the warrior.

So.. Hello Everyone,
I decided to open this topic because now I’m tired of hoping that anet take the first step.

The shield of fractal is pretty much the only weapon fractal “wrong”?

Besides not having the classic rotating cube (which made ??me think that for the note had yet to receive a visual update), owns the classic and inevitable annoying problem that they have had in the past many shields, in fact if you wield it you will notice that the shield appears inside the character’s arm and beyond, will also enter into the shoulder.

I’m here in the hope that this topic then do a bit of news and then Anet make a nice visual update of this shield, which I personally think is one of the most beautiful shields in the game.

P.S. also miss the classic trail of mist also miss the classic trail of mist that have the fractal’s weapons.

P.S. 2 : To make it look like the character hold the shield could for example be put in hand a “stake” through the “smoke” of the mist connects to the cube that should be created at the center of the shield, according to logic.

Shield of Judgement:
* Add a blast finisher
* knock back enemies (320)
* Reduce CD to 25
* Grant 6 sec of protection to yourself and allies (max 5)
* range 600

Shield of Absorption:
* Guardian can move (the most important thing)
* Reduce CD to almost 30/35 sec
* Not more knock back enemies on cast but daze (max 5?) for 2/3 sec
* when activate grant 2 sec of regen for yourself and the allies inside (max 5) the dome every sec
* detonate grant aegis to yourself and allies (max 5) and heal them for 1400
* The dome absorb projectiles
* shield duration 5/6 sec
* cast other weapons skills or change weapon set will interrupt the dome but u can revive people without interrupt the field
* not more light field

i choose 1400 because the elementalist with 15 traits in water, cure himself than 1300 entering in water attunament

still would not be the case with start removing some retalation and change the light field of the guardian in another? or maybe think of another field do not know why what can the watchman with his field?

retalation area continuously, the only side where the light field may be used with the base attack would be the scepter but the thing is of course denied because it would be too powerful.

I think, then tell me if I’m wrong, retalation is overvalued. it is as if since you would not want to make too powerful Gardiano was added to replace the retalation aking another buff would be too powerful

Ok , but now you have to explain to me why these are still being made as reward a MiniPet or these masks that anyone interested .. Perhaps the MiniPet to someone but to someone for the fact not everything they want to do things just to get a prize in MiniPet which by the way you always have to stay there to open your inventory to activate it.

Leaving aside the MiniPet , repeating still do not understand why only give as a prize MiniPet (as in the event of aetherblade ) … Why even these masks , but there is someone who seriously interested in using these masks ?

3/4 of the players that make a character do light armor female human or norn and then dress in a provocative way and one has ever used one of these as a reward or a thousand masks made ??with gems … have done more successfully kite than the masks .
And I repeat masks yes and no messages will be used on some asura or human male .
Next time please if you really have to put at least of the rewards that are of interest to everyone not only for colezionisti or specific classes or rare cases.

same here… i just completed the zone 3 for the third time .. get all the bubbles always with friends who have followed me to take all the bubbles .. I haven’t gotten the archievement .. they yes …. it is very frustrating and I would appreciate that Anet fix it and they doesn’t to force me to do for the umpteenth time the whole area 3 to finally take the title …
