Well had my last reply from Support as they asked me How I would rate the support… Silly question. Apparently the problem is with my ISP but just by looking on here I can see 7 other ISP’s whilst skimming the first page, So I cant see how its my ISP’s fault.

The way I see it now I have 2 options :
option 1 – deal with the lag when it happens and just dont play then, but refuse to spend any money on gw2 until this is sorted out
option 2 – find a different game to play – also means I dont spend any money in gw2

I have given up with support as I would be much better banging my head against a brick wall.

Same happening again started 20 minutes ago. Problem with the same IP address of 89.149.164.42. I have done everything support have asked, turned router on and off, plugged in directly to the modem, opened ports.

But its not a problem my end or a problem I have encountered in the many years I have been with my ISP or played GW2. I feel like I am banging my head against a brick wall. Feeling frustrated

In all honesty the linking is never going to work when people can transfer every time the wind changes direction. How are they meant to know the wvw population when it changes every 5 minutes by people moving server?

Just curious, do the words BT or Infinity mean anything to the people having an issue with lag/packet loss from 89.149.164.42?

If it does you might want to take a look at this post from another forum. It is directly related to GW2 and problems with that node. This dates back to early 2014.

Nope not with BT, with a company that doesnt do any kind of traffic shaping. Been with this company for a number of years and also played GW2 since beta, never had a problem like this that I can remember prior to the week before the latest living story.

Same problem again tonight, Support are trying really hard to help asking for reports etc, but I am sure that the problem is with the gateway (89.149.164.42) and I am not techie enough to be able to work out a way passed it… Frustrating does not cover it.

Agreed Siren, meant to raid tonight, instead I might read a book, can’t even load into a map easily.

I have been having the same problem since the week before the living story Ping plotter also shows the issue as being at 89.149.164.42

Same here… seems to be a bug with unranked, and cant get out of it… joys. I had clicked ready, and now the only option I have is dismiss… cant join anything else Ranked or unranked…

Unfortunately, the actions of one player does tarnish a server’s reputation. Servers need to be accountable for their player base and servers do set the tone as to what is acceptable and what is not.

Hacking or use of exploits is not acceptable within the GH community which you try to make it sound like it would. Don’t be a sore loser. GH has recently got a huge boost in their WvW population and I can’t be sure of what sort of people have transferred though. You are also making accusations of hacking and exploiting without having even a single person from your server to actually see it happening! One thief hiding with stealth inside a tower can flip it alone.

Please make sure you have “nearest target” keybinded on your keyboard, it will help you locate any hiding mesmers, (unstealthed)thieves and also exploiters inside of walls.

I was there and I saw the person coming out of Briar at high speed, such a high speed I couldnt even target him before he was gone, and unless he had been hiding inside Briar for the past few hours without us noticing there was no way he got in as all gates and walls were up. So there is the single person from the server that saw him do it.
I dont mind losing when it is fair, but this was certainly not fair.

Since the patch yesterday I’ve been getting the same problem over and over again with my guild chat. Whenever I waypoint to another map, doesn’t matter if it’s a city map or a normal map, my guild chat fully disappears. I can’t see what anybody writes, so I need to write in it myself before it activates again. But it doesn’t seem to help, because when I waypoint again ( to another map ) the whole guild chat progress is lost. This only affects the guild chat and not the other chats. Normal, map, party & whispers are still going.
We have issues about upgrades. Instead of building two upgrades it’s only building one.

I agree, this is by far the most frustrating achievement. Its making me hate the Dragon Ball and play it to get the skill and use it, not to try and win

And ignore all of my posts, whilst i disabled my firewall, it was still running in task manager, so once I edited the rules to allow all activity for CoherentUI_Host it worked perfectly.

Another thought is the news part doesnt load when i am logging in also…. Now this would say to me that it is a firewall issue, but I have turned that and my antivirus off and still no luck

I had the net::ERR_NAME_RESOLUTION_FAILED and I solved it by turning off my antivirus program, not sure if this will help agains the net::ERR_NAME_ACCESS_DENIED but it sure is worth a try

Hmm and thinking out loud I am sure I had cash left to pick up from tp, could this be the problem?

I dont know if anyone else is getting this error but when I try and access the trading post since the Patch I get the following error.

Well that is incorrect as I have never changed my server and I have no chest at all, it says in achievement panel that I have 4th Place but we hd 5th Place and I never received a chest. Also similar for a friend who has never moved servers says he has 7th Place but we have 5th Place…

Well I didnt get the chest, but the achievement shows as 4th Place when I am on Aurora Glade which was 5th Place, and a friend of mine on the same server his shows as 7th Place with no chest…. Neither of us has moved server since the game started so…. a bit bugged I think

You “dc’ed” 3 times during a 36 hour period, not in a row. Fix your interwebz, PC or whatever else made you dc cough cough.

Also, nice job with necromancy, Swampman, and it is indeed 3 stacks before the game locks you out. If your friend is absolutely certain he didn’t leave 3 games in 72h period he should contact support.

I don’t know who you are but anyone that is anything in the tpvp or soloQ would know that I would never just leave a match. The first offense time is just to long. Just like everything else in Gw2 they overreact or under react to everything. They can never find a balance in between.

But it wasn’t your first offence, it was the third offence in 36 hours, whether that be the weathers fault or not, it still affects your teammates. I don’t think its too harsh, I do think its unfortunate when you dc though rather than when people just leave.

Dagrin – Were you doing the offshoots in Kessex Hills, Queensdale, Brisban Wildlands, Caledon Forest, or Gendarran Fields? Any of those Toxic Offshoots should count towards the Toxic Gardener daily.

The toxic gardener daily does not appear to be working, I tried it today in a few different places and it didnt work, as did many other people, in the below forum post.

Actually Phil I have been doing the ping continuously tonight since I had the problem and after 11.30pm it seems to have stopped which is when EE’s traffic shaping stops, so I am guessing that is what the problem is as during the daytime I have no issues also, its just very odd that it has only started in the last two days. So I think in this case the onus does lie with EE, though they wont help much in this matter from what I could tell from my conversations with them tonight. As Support suggested to me I will try a proxy tomorrow night and see if this helps the issue

are you on EE too proxo? as that would imply to me that they are throttling the connection at peak times.

And just for a laugh the support guy I spoke to at EE didnt understand how an online game worked, he thought you must play it on a web page….. someone pass the alcohol please, and the latest update is, this is beyond EE’s control and they cannot help with it, and support here say try a proxy, which I will try tomorrow night as I am about ready to go mad at this point

EE is my ISP…………… and trying to explain the problem to them is more painful than getting the disconnection notice from GW2, they are about as useful as a chocolate teapot.

And I now have a response from Support saying it is my ISP’s fault…. which I really do not understand as it has only happened since the patch… so that is a huge coincidence in my eyes.

I have the same problem from the UK ran a ping and seems to be a problem at 62.157.248.198 , again only been the last 2 nights and no problem with anything else other than gw2. and looking up that address gives me which could explain why it is an eu problem

Thats brilliant… if you play at the same time every day, unfortunatly I work shifts, my hours are different every day, therefore I play at different times every day, apart from possibly 1 hour every night. I love this game, or I did before I had this achievement, which is frustrating me no end, last two days off work, been on for the start of 15-16 events both days never once seen gendarran, then look at the history

The problem I now have is this is frustrating me so much I dont actually want to play… I cant really start anything that will take longer than 50 minutes as I will need to stop to see what the invasion is, and I cant be bothered to do anything that takes less time, I have another day off today, my husband is away with work, nothing I need to do other than play and I have now lost the patience to do so, done my dailies, sold some stuff, now I just log on every hour, check for the map and log off. I suppose I could go without sleep as that seems to be when the last map I need comes up most often, but I may get fired from work then, so doesnt seem a good option. Just some indication of the attacks would be good, even if it just said the region…

Same for me on Aurora Glade, mine crashed when i tried to sell something on trading post… and it said I needed to upgrade my account to a full account in order to do this… rather strange as I have had a full account since the start of the game… ho hum

Its not a gamble when people are using an exploit on it, which they are at the moment on the server I am on, which means I cant play it as they are making one Moa win all the time.

A friend of mine also had this bug and it didnt seem to fix itself until they added new hints, as we have had a lack of response from a dev, i guess we can only hope they add new hints soon and that will fix it for us.

very odd, but when i played TPvP the unique maps played went up… but tournament wins did not, also unqiue maps played did not go up in spvp

Have you guys tried making a new character to re-do certain hints? Be certain to actually click on the hints boxes once they appear. Maybe triggering one hint could complete a missing one. I had mine stuck at 79/83, but I was only missing 3 (mailbox, Mesmer, & engineer). Once I got my mailbox full, I had 81/83. Then I completed another, but it still said 81/83… Finally I got my last hint completed and suddenly, it registered 83/83 and I got the achieve. It seems there is some odd error with tallying, maybe retriggering a few of them could help it to count the ones it missed before.

Hey, you don’t have it now, what’s taking a few minutes to create a new character and running them into pvp for a few and use a treb, filling their mailbox with messages from payers (must have ZERO game messages in that box, delete them all!!! Only player messages will do it), or a quick visit to WvW. It won’t hurt to try and get them to re-trigger.

I can log in… well after about 10 error messages first but now cannot access tp, and my email shows in the guild instead of my account name, so probably all linked.

While I dont think this RNG-system favours some accounts over others, I do think your system isnt that random, cause the amount of lucky or unlucky “streaks” is too common in this game.
When you have 4 rares salvage 3 and get 0 ectos the last will most likely give you 0 too, while when you salvage and get 1-3 ectos each the last will probably give you at least one ecto too.

Do you have some data to back it up? Similarly, can any other player report of a similar lack of luck with clovers?

No, I don’t keep track and can’t be bothered doing any complex tests.
However I do encourage anyone, who goes to forge and gets like 6 tries in row nothing, to stop and try again the next day.
And vice versa, if you getting very lucky and get every second try a clover or so, don’t stop you’re on that lucky streak that you might not catch that soon again.
I did Dreamer like that with 10 clover tries caught a lucky streak, 70 clovers took me like 13/14 10-clover tries.

This is also what I think causes ppl to think anet prefers some accounts over others, while actually they just got a “lucky day” meaning they caught a good sequence of draws.
Yesterday I got 3 cores in CoE, so (following my theory) right after it I went to do 2 TA paths and ofc I got 3 onyx cores and 1 lodestone.
Now you can ofc dismiss all this as luck / unluck, but I’m convinced that this RNG system draws whole sequences not a single drop.

Well yesterday I tried making my mystic clovers and must have been on a lucky streak as I got i think 7/8 on the 10-Clover tries, and then 7/10 on the 1-Clover tries, so there may well be something in the sequences, I certainly knew once I had the first 3 working I had to try more.. I may well be slightly off with my numbers as I really did not count the tries, but I would only be 1 out if that, as I only had about 80 ectos to start and only bought 6 that I can see on tp history. A friend of mine probably has tried the same amount as me and has approx 20 clovers…. so I do think a lucky streak was had by me.

To be honest I just think they need to leave more time after kicking people from WvW to restarting the server as a few people I have spoken to did not load and they are all the ones that cannot log in, I may well be wrong but thie does seem to be part of the problem.
