I get that Anet wants to promote raids, but shouldnt we have a choice on what we want to do?
Gold in dungeons is so unprofitable its just not worth doing for the most part compared to other aspects, and its been a real shame seeing the community leave in droves an important part of an MMO experience.
Please pump some love into dungeons!
I see scribes having alot of uses. They are able to make utility buffs for players, for example
RNG is very cruel with items when ur dealing with % of below 1%
LOL, a new player has a winge because he cant unlock end game dungeons instantly.
AR shows you have played the game and fractals sufficiently to be able to handle the much harder difficulties. Fractal 50s for example, a veteran can solo kill anybody on your team.
If you havent played fractals etc enough to have the required gear and experienced, wait, not btch about it on forums
I had 11 blue champion bags from EoTm in my bank from levelling an alt. I decided to open them on my main lvl 80 warrior. The 5th one dropped the precursor Dusk.
I can confirm even blue bags can drop precursors, but I think you must open them on a lvl 80 to get such a level specific reward.
Yes, I realize how insanely lucky I was, lol.
Pick up tab is empty. I know about the 100 item limit in the pickup tab. The rest go into overflow
I made a bug report but cant see where I can make a proper ticket o.O
It would be a terrible blow to the game industry if we had to apply real life morality, even in fantasy worlds, to video games.
placed an order for 6,250 Trick or Treat bags, 4.12s ea. I clicked the orders to go through, and saw my money go too (as youd expect when placing orders)
When I went to check the orders tab, there was only ONE ToT order for 25 bags. The rest were gone, including the option to retrieve the gold.
The rest of the orders are gone, and so is my money.
I lost 257g because of this. Has anyone else had similar things happen? What happens when you report this? Im hoping it just corrects itself and refreshes with my order in tab, but Im sad for now
The purpose of WvW exotic gear is to have a cheap set of exotics to start with once you hit 80, which is a really good thing. 1g a piece is pocket change compared to the 7g or so you pay for each berserker armor piece, for example. Same with weapons.
Only slot major runes and sigils, not superiors, as it cannot be salvaged or Mystic forged.
As wonderful as the intended WvW gear is, the developers do NOT make any mention of this. This is a really lazy oversight that they cant be bothered to ever correct that really hurts new players, and after all these years makes me question why they cant add a description. Dumb move, Anet.
You sir, have just changed my guild wars life forever
1) Download this and install: http://www.autohotkey.com/
2) Paste this into a new script and save —> WheelUp::Click left
3) Mouse-over stack
4) Scroll up to consume stack(s)
5) Close application when done (important to gain back normal scrolling functions)I’ve read here on the forums that people quote the devs saying something like “one mouse scroll wheel movement equals one click” or “one button/one action”. I’m sure they’re probably right. Hopefully they will sticky this post so others stop bringing it up.
This, by the way, is the same kind of problem they had with LFG before they had a tool for it in game. There was an external website people would use. Hopefully, this is on their list to address with the HoT expansion.
Good luck,
-Gabriel
Im just using examples. Alot of us have had those moments where we are clicking 500 times for something like SW champion bags and have wished for a mass click option, lol
It simply increases the ‘base’ level of loot.
MF is definitely worth investing in.
If you dont want to do endless clicking, get an articifer alt to convert luck to exotics. And find a way to get luck fast and cost effective, like trick or treat bags or salvaging stuff, if you sell the mats you recover most of your money from tot bags.
Getting it to at least 100-150% is something I would highly recommend. Over the course of your time as a player, it will pay itself off. More rares, exotics, t5/t6, cores, lodes, etc.
Tired of clicking that 250 luck? Or opening that stack of trick or treat bags?
I just thought of having a right click, use all option for items that stack.
If it doesnt fit in your inventory, it just stops when your bags get full
I dont want arthritis in my hands by the age of 30 from overclicking
Thoughts?
I know its not precise, but its ok. I only recall 2 set of salvaging that got about 25 ancient or orichalcum. The rest was far lower. 12-15 was quite the average.
All in all, its still far lower than the expected 35/140 salvages. At no point did I ever get 30+.
I know it was a pricier method, but it was a spontaneous ‘for science’ moment. Ive got plenty of dough
Hello friends, I used my Silver-fed salvage o-matic on more than 10,000 blues to salvage for luck. This was done on lvl 75-80 blue weapons.
The silver o-matic says 25% of the time it will salvage rarer components (elder wood > ancient wood, mithril ore > orichalcum ore)
Heres the problem. Out of the 10,000 salvages, I found the vast majority of the time after salvaging an inventory (140 units) I would wind up with 10-15 of these rarer finds, with the very rare case of 20.
25% of 140 = 35. So, mostly, I got between 10-15% at best.
So, my question is, is there a reason why my salvaging does not reach anywhere close to the 25% stated? Over 10,000 salvages is quite a significant sample size
Some good ideas there Kosmo (thumbs up)
Gold is far easier to obtain elsewhere though. Little incentive to go to Mega. Even Teq takes longer, lol. Maybe if they buffed the loot id consider it again in future XD
As the title suggests.
It has a 15 minute pre, is a long fight, and really, the rewards are very unsatisfying. Even Shadow Behemoth gives better.
Maybe the devs can either halve the pre requirements, or double the loot to make it at least somewhat worthwhile?
Giant eyes are almost impossible to get, with perhaps a 0.1% reward from heavy moldy bags, and mobs not dropping them. You are as likely to roll a precursor from rares as you are to find a giant eye in a moldy bag.
Theres a massive shortage, with giant eyes now over 7g each, with recipes requiring up to a stack to complete skins, and will continue to climb.
Would anyone else like to see these drop more? Either from improving moldy bag drops to 1% or introducing them as rare drops from Orr giants (veteran +) or other suggestions to address the shortage.
Guardian, especially if you enjoy melee classes
Both events give very large rewards. However, the retaking phase seems to be better.
Would recommend either buffing the defence phase’s loot, or simply delete the defence phase entirely and reclaim arah
Or make it like, a 25 use/day shovel. Rewarded from a Silverwastes mastery
Try the Silverwastes lobby.
‘I dont see why I need to take orders from mice and talking cabbages’
Every 10 seconds. Forever.
Pls Anet, Id buy that for 1000 gems, easy
No Im talking about mail supression. You can only send something like 1-2 mail/minute until your hit with supression. Its a nightmare for organizers and guild heads, lol.
A gem item that doubles the mail limits would be nice
Its limited to 500/week, doesnt matter how much mail you can send….
^
plus double amount you can send before getting supressed.
Would make alot of guild members and organizers happy. Easy money for Anet. Everybody wins
What about a 400 gem item that doubles the amount of mail you can receive? Helpful for guild leaders and community organizers
My guild has a program where we buy items from each other, have quarterly guild raffles, and use middle men as safe traders. This is all perfectly legal. However Anet has now stuffed us, and other guilds, with this careless update.
Being able to level by crafting INCREASES the value of those said items, it doesnt decrease it at all. Its good

Its lazy policing so they can make that little bit more money from in game gem conversions. Sorry, but they dont give a rats about you, and they arent going to change what they are doing.
They wont get rid of the 15% fees either, since they use their TP as a blunt instrument to counter inflation, from all the artificial gold they pump in via gem conversions.
Its bad enough players cant trade among themselves, I havent heard of any other big MMORPG do this to its players, not even GW1.
Secondly, lots of players, such as friends and guilds, do trade among themselves, whether it be exotic weapon skins like mjolnir, bulk crafting material trading, holding items, loans, permanent kits, and precursors.
And now a 500g/week limit? How are we supposed to trade among ourselves?
Lets face it, Arenanet imposes non-player trading on us so they can use the 15% TP tax as a blunt instrument to counter inflation, due to artificially pumping so much gold by in game gem conversions. And now, they are pursuing a tiny minority of players by affecting the vast majority of innocent players. Just because ‘most’ transactions are under 500g per week, doesnt mean we should be banned from doing more.
I propose the following solution: raise the cap to 1k gold/week by having a minimum of 1,000 achievement points, or some other mechanic to raise the gold cap.
PVP chests are affected by Magic find, and magic find is affected by DR. I read that forum too, but it didnt answer the question, unfortunately.
PVP chests are supposed to mimic looting several mobs of that chest, eg ‘Risen Mage Loot Boxes’ and are openly affected by Magic Find.
Therefore, since magic find affects PVP chests, I wonder if Diminishing Returns affects your chests if you opened a whole bunch of them (100+) at once.
I have also heard if you loot several exotics from mobs, etc, DR scales alot faster to prevent high magic find players from consecutively looting exotics.
So if I opened 100 chests or so at a time (so I can stack all my MF buffs) and got a few good items, would I be wasting pvp chests opening any more?
Would love if a Dev could reply to this, cheers!
You can do teragriffs with 5 people, I have done it with 4. More people upscale them.
Heres a guide.
Teragriffs charge until they are stunned from a popped bubble. After about 15s they will charge in the other direction. Knowing this makes them easy to manage.
If they charge into eachother, they will howl/aoe everyone to death whos in about 600 range. So stay back, range them, and prepare the side bubbles. Having people preparing and popping bubbles to manage the Teragriffs makes them very easy. My maps usually finish silver and gold before the other 3 bosses are finished. It can be done
As you know, when the silver-fed first came back, it was unviable since it cost 1s per use, compared to its current 60c use.
But, then it was updated to be the same cost as a master’s salvage kit! Hooray! its useful now.
BUT WAIT
Anet decides to make it limited edition and soon takes it off the gem store :\
Any chance of it coming back soon?
Ascended bits and pieces for the individual player is different to a marketable and lucrative rune set that nobody new can obtain though
Hi all,
The runes of exuberence recipes were released exclusively during the crown pavilion, and no longer exist.
However, Superior runes of exuberence are very often used and traded.
It’s created a very lucrative semi-monopoly, since only an existing amount of players can craft the runes.
Would it be possible to create a way newer players can learn the recipes? Seems an unfair playing field for something as important as armor rune sets
